An extremely friendly exchange of text messages were the precursor to a friendly greeting as we drove onto the site. We knew we had made the right choice as the accommodation was clean, well kitted out and most of all comfortable. River Edge Lodges are perfectly placed, just off the motorway, for touring. The welcome pack of information, sent in advance, was especially useful. We will have no hesitation in recommending River Edge Lodges.

Another great holiday and the weather was good. Have been coming here to the Lodges for a good thirty years and we always find somewhere different to visit. Mary and John are so friendly and welcoming. Lovely village with all the shops you need and a lovely coffee shop The Earn which is always worth a visit. Looking forward to next year already.

Lodge fully equipped and clean. Comfortable beds. In Lodge 5 you have the wet room which is excellent for any disabilities or no disabilities!
Hosts Mary and John very welcoming and there if you need them.
This was my third stay at the lodges and I am never disappointed and will be back.

This is our second time staying here. We stayed in lodge 5 this time which was absolutely adorable. Lovely bungalow, beautifully furnished and spacious. Warm, cosy and bright and spotlessly clean. Could happily have stayed in for 3 days to watch the world go by but with 3 kids that was never going to happen!!! Kids ran free again, while adults watched from lovely decking on porch. Terrific place for an Easter egg hunt Such a variety of wildlife, walks and beautiful views, it's impossible not to relax. This might become a regular break for us. Thanks again guys! The kids want to move in lol

Another fantastic trip to our fave holiday place. This year marked 22 years since we first found them, and we're planning to book again soon. It's become our go to holiday place now. The walk in shower was a great addition. You can be sure of a warm welcome from Mary and John. the goats are happy to eat left over toast. The view is fantastic, and although our children are grown now, the lodges surround a brilliant and large safe space for them to play.

Another great holiday. Weather never kept us in but it was lovely to sit at breakfast on the balcony watching the world go bye. Next time we can put a topper on your mattress if you remind us! The water pressure is a new one though and we'll definitely take a look at that as that shouldn't be a problem. We had a really great stay here, the lodges themselves are great but the icing on top is all the activities available in the area... we went biking and hiking and swimming.... absolutely 5 stars for an active family. We will definitely be back!

We always look forward to our stay at River Edge. The lodge itself is very well equipped and comfortable and if there is anything you need Mary or John are only too happy to help. The site is very well looked after, I love the hanging flower baskets outside and little touches like flowers on the porch table make the difference. It's a very quiet place, idea for my elderly mum but equally a great and safe place for kids to run round. An ideal base for a famy holiday. Our 2nd visit to River Edge Lodge and it won't be our last.

We take one of the lodges every year when attending the nearby Forgandenny Horse Trials and always have a great stay. The lodges themselves are super comfortable (& clean) and the grounds a delight to stroll round.

This was our 2nd visit to River Edge and it didn't disappoint. The lodges are great, plenty space and everything you need is there. Absolutely loved seeing the goats and chickens, perfect entertainment for kids along with the little play area. Ideal location, very close to Perth, good hill walks nearby too. A shop and takeaways/restaurants just a short walk away. Ideal base for a holiday.

We loved the lodge as there was plenty of room and home comforts, well equipped. The lodge had a lovely outlook over a well tended green space. The park was lovely and peaceful yet only a short stroll into the village. The Co-op supermarket was well stocked and the staff were most helpful. Would definitely recommend these lodges to friends.

The lodge is very child friendly - simple, good quality furnishings and the toddler toilet seat and step was a lovely extra touch and meant our toddler felt very at home instantly. The grass area feels safe and contained and is a great place to run around and play. The kitchen is very well kitted out, and everything was spotless. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing stay.

Just back from a wonderful holiday at River Edge Lodges. It was very relaxing and plenty of local take aways if you don't want to cook. The lodge itself was clean & comfortable and had everything we needed. The grounds are very well maintained and John is usually seen most days working to keep it that way. Spoke with Mary who was very friendly prior to our visit and John gave us good local advice whilst we were there. Would definitely go back & recommend to others

I rented Lodges 2,3,4 and 5 between 29th May 2021 until Saturday 5th June 2021 for a family get together, 7 adults and 5 grandchildren. The Lodges are clean, tidy and have everything you need for self catering. Good parking for each lodge and there is a ramp up to the deck and front door. The Co-Op is a 5 minute walk away and Tesco is a 10 minute drive, so no problem getting food or any other provisions you require. The grounds outside the front of the Lodges are well kept with plenty of room for kids to run freely (or on scooters or bikes along the paths), which ours did morning and evenings when not visiting many of the local attractions. The adults and Children also enjoy feeding the goats on the site. Easy access to the M90 and A9, so no problem getting access to the Highlands or Edinburgh. River Edge Lodges are an ideal place to stay to enjoy the local surroundings or further a field. John and Mary who run the site are the best hosts you could ever meet, warm, friendly and very helpful. The Lodges are COVID aware and all necessary precautions have been taken to make your stay stress free. I highly recommend this location for a stay and will definitely be visiting again.

We have stayed at River Edge Lodges many times now and have loved it every time. The setting is stunning, recently the autumn colours were spectacular.
Mary and John are fantastic hosts and will do everything to make your stay comfortable. There are goats for kids (and adults ) to enjoy and a play area. The river Earn is next to the lodges with many lovely walks. Thoroughly recommend it here.

We stayed for a week at this lovely place. We stayed in a river edge lodge which was well equipped with a good kitchen, comfortable lounge and two bedrooms. Decent storage and there was a bath as well as a shower, very useful for small children. Outside the lodge the kids could play safely and enjoyed the wooden house with a slide attached plus they loved the goats they could visit and feed! The lodges were a good base for us to visit other areas in Perthshire and also Fife and Tayside. We had a lovely day trip to Craigtoun Park near St Andrews. The owners are lovely here and it was a very relaxed break. Would highly recommend it for a getaway!

Beautiful site, peaceful and scenic. Great hosts. Ideal to reach out to other areas to experience Scotland. East coast easily accessible, M90 nearby to reach other towns with ease, whichever way you go, you will see beautiful scenery, picturesque towns and Cities with a welcoming and friendly people.

We had a great stay! The site is beautiful and in a great location to allow some of the Perthshire sites.
The lodge was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Lovely place and lovely people, who will bend over backwards to give you a great holiday location.
Have stayed there previously and it never disappoints.
Our only suggestions for improvement is the mattress had a few hard springs and we switched the position of the sofa bed and normal sofa to watch the tv, as it was more comfortable than the sofa bed, other than that 10 out of 10 and would definitely want to visit again in the future.

This is our second visit now and both times have been brilliant. Such a relaxing place to stay, with beautiful scenery all around. The owners are so friendly and helpful too. We recommend these lodges to everyone!

We’re never disappointed by River Edge Lodges. The service is absolutely first class - so warm and friendly. The lodges are cosy, spotlessly clean and in a perfect location. We’ve returned a number of times, have recommended to lots of family and friends and will definitely be back. Scottish hospitality at its absolute best.

We use River Edge 2/3 times a year for our daughters therapy and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. The lodges are amazing and well equipped and the owners Mary and John are awesome and would do anything for you. This is a perfect family retreat or a quiet couple place, it’s great for all occasions. Xx

My daughter and I had a great few nights at river edge lodges. I found it a good central base for travelling to the places we wanted to visit. The goats were a massive hit with my daughter. It has a quiet, relaxed atmosphere and the owners were very friendly and welcoming.

My first visit to Scotland and I found the location of the lodges stunning. Mary and John were most welcoming and the lodges were comfortable and we'll equipped. Really homely. We would definitely return..

Booked for 2 nights. We asked for an earlier entry time, and this was granted without any problem. Lodge was clean, tidy and everything was provided. Would highly recommend.

It was perfect, peaceful and relaxing. Lodge was clean and nice, heaters were good, Wi-fi worked well. Our Grandson joined us age 5 and it was lovely for him, the slide etc was near the lodge and he loved feeding the goats !
