We had a wonderful time in this comfortable, modern apartment in a grand neighborhood of beautiful old stone buildings, and were able to walk to the train station and all of Stirling's historic downtown sites (Stirling Castle, old jail and other historic buildings). We based ourselves in Stirling and did day trips to Edinburgh and Glasgow by train, both about an hour away. Highly recommended!
Comfortable, well thought out place to stay with very welcoming hosts. The hot tub was a bonus. Hope to go again.
We had a fabulous week in this lovely apartment. So spacious and comfortable for myself, my husband and our 2 adult children. We all experienced a great sleep every night in the most comfortable beds. Kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need. The location is great, and the hotel is only a 5 minute walk away, with all the luxury facilities, which we enjoyed. Auchterarder is a lovely town with nice shops, bars and restaurants too. The host Graeme was so welcoming and left us a lovely basket of goodies on our arrival. Will definitely return.
Great place for a family/group holiday. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped. Location is a very short distance from the centre of Stirling and easy walking distance of the castle.
We enjoyed a fantastic 3 night stay at Haverstock with friends for my husbands 40th birthday celebrations. The house is amazing, and the set up down stairs very sociable. We spent most of the weekend in the kitchen/sitting area. A short walk to the nearest shops and pubs. Stirling self catering were fantastic to deal with, this is the 4th time I've booked with them.
We rented Harviestoun House for 3 days as a base for my family and friends prior to my son's wedding. The property provided everything we needed. good sized double bedrooms, ample bathrooms, good location. Both the agent and the owner were very helpful during our stay and i would have no hesitation in recommending Harviestoun House for short term or longer stays.
The King's View apartment in Stirling was wonderful. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood, across the street from a gorgeous park in Stirling, the King's Park. The location was also a short walk to the center of town, the railroad and bus stations, and Stirling Castle. It is a very spacious apartment, tastefully decorated in a modern style, with a washer and dryer. The hosts/owners live in the building and were very gracious and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and the lovely accomodations. We would not hesitate to book this rental if we ever go back to Scotland.
We stayed here when visiting family near by so was a perfect location for us, but would also be really good for those looking to explore central Scotland more. Bridge of Allan is a really lovely small town with plenty of shops and eateries to cater for most requirements. The apartment itself is lovely, really spacious and well furnished and very clean. There were a couple of little things that the owner could do to make it perfect but they did not detract from our stay. The mattress in the main bedroom could do with being better quality and the kitchen tap needs to be refitted but everything ...more
The apartment was in great condition, with very comfy beds. It is in a fantastic location to explore the surrounding area.
Milton Hayloft is a comfortable and well located holiday home, spacious and well equipped. Beds are large and comfortable and there are more than enough bathrooms for the average family. Areas for improvement are only very minor - TV reception not great (particularly BBC channels), bathplug was not sealing correctly when we visited and the master bedroom door handle needed repair. Other than than, no complaints and we would gladly visit again.
Pear Tree cottage is comfortable, warm and welcoming. It is centrally situated in Stirling, which is great for walking to all the local amenities and tourist spots. It is also a great position for day trips to Glasgow, Edinburgh and north to many lochs. We loved having such a homely base for several days while we explored.
Great location for both walking and driving with easy access to Blairlogie Meadow for hill walks and for driving out to St Andrews, Dunblane, Stirling and across to the Trossachs and Loch Katrine.
Our whole family of 11 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Castelview, even though it was only for a couple of nights. Toby showed us around and was very patient with the excited family exploring. It was a little taste of luxury from a bygone era but with all the expected modern day comforts laid on. The house seemed to go on and on and the children loved exploring the nooks, crannies, and passages hither and yon; they spent quite a bit of time in the fine games room. The garden was a delight with expansive lawn and fruiting trees. I can see this being very suitable for extended families where the ...more
Besides groceries (if you dine in), nothing is required. This is the perfect rental and is ideal for a base location to explore Scotland. Observe the hares playing on the lawn and the deer visiting regularly. The hostess, Eleanor, is friendly, gracious, and most concerned about her guest's comfort and enjoyment.
A lovely conversion perfect for large groups. Very well equipped. Great to have bathrooms for each room. Not far from Stirling.
We enjoyed our stay at Springwood Apartment. It's close to the centre of Stirling, in lovely grounds, quiet and rather grand in a very comfortable way. We'd recommend it.
Allanvale Apartment is a ground floor apartment. It is situated at the end of a road so there is no passing traffic. There is space outside the front to park the car (making sure it is beyond the double yellow lines). The apartment inside is good for two people, although there is a bed settee in the living room area, for one more person. But I am not sure how comfortable this would be for a whole week. The apartment is compact but was cosy. The kitchen/diner and living room area are all open plan but were well equipped and nicely presented. There is a washing machine, drier and dishwashe...more
