An immaculate, two bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage, close to Loch Tay and situated in the beautiful Highland village of Killin. The property is well-equipped and furnished to a high specification, with the master bedroom having a very spacious en-suite room.

An attractive and well presented property ; welcoming and comfortable. However ,there seem to be a few problems using the place. The most noticeable was the lack of water pressure upstairs ; never good at any time ( the bath took an age to fill ), if the main shower room was in use, water flow was reduced to a trickle in the the bathroom sink. Not acceptable , and not understood; no such problem in the property i rented last year across the way. Also , the sink plug in the bathroom leaks slowly.
We struggled somewhat with the heating also. It always responded to a turn of the the dial , but reverted invariably to 10 degrees ,often, but not always after a short cycle . This is not a comfortable temperature to come back to , after a day out in March.
We failed to get the DVD to work, despite reasonable competence in this area . Nor could we find any DVD s in the house, as indicated in the notes.
I have not yet had a return of the deposit.

We are delighted that this guest found the house welcoming and comfortable, and we try so hard to ensure all guests have a wonder experience, so we are devastated to hear about any negative reviews, especially publicly, without being given the opportunity to remedy anything at the time. To respond to your points: the house uses a modern gas combi-boiler offering instant and unlimited hot water. All these systems do only allow a certain flow of hot water, as they all do. The heating is a modern remote control, allowing guests to dial up and down the temperatures, and this returns to a pre-set lower temperatures mid- morning (assuming that most guests are out through the day) and automatically increases the late afternoon temperatures each day (assuming that guest want to return to a warm home after the day’s activities). However, guests can adjust temperatures, and this manual facility is always available. There is a DVD player under the TV, and about 80 DVD’s stored on the bookshelf , although we appreciate that most guests will plug in / sign in to their streaming service of choice. We do note that service was marked down, but all communication and information was provided correctly and on time. Also location was marked down, but the house is conveniently located within the village of Killin, and only meters away from the other property which this guest noted that they had previously stayed in. Finally, the refundable deposit was returned to this, and all our guests as are the normal terms of business. We are a small local business, with individual house owners and we employ local people to service and clean the properties we let, so we are saddened to see such careless reviews, which could damage small businesses and individuals. Myself and a couple of my friends had stayed for a weekend in the heathers, it was super relaxing and a great location for going walks through the countryside.

We had a lovely stay - property was very clean and well equipped. Excellent support for a minor maintenance issue.
Would happily recommend and use again.

We loved our stay in the Heathers cottage! Great layout of property and really nicely furnished. Bed were very comfortable and we loved the ensuite bathroom - it's huge!
Killin is a great village and it's a nice spot for walking and exploring. Thanks!
