As always could not fault our break at Tindall Barn, we’ve been coming for more than 10 years and just love the place and the surroundings, watched the local wild life, deer,hares,rabbits, fox,buzzards,newts, moor hens and duck we even saw a stoat. And a special mention to Austin working the fields, he kept some of our party entertained for hours .

Overall a great staycation as always



Another amazing and relaxing week away in the countryside.

Our second time to Tindall barn and the experience was just as good as the first. Beautifully converted barn with all the amenities you could wish for in a beautiful part of the English countryside.
Plenty to do and see nearby.

This was our 4th visit to Tindall Barn and it never disappoints. With Amazing scenery, we enjoyed country walks in the day and prolonging the evening around the fire pit - a great place to reconnect with the family. The Barn is spacious with a high level of cleanliness and has a good size BBQ. Joanna is such a lovely lady & check in was relaxed. We were greeted with Prosecco and a chocolate cake. Southwold is a short journey away and boasts a long clean sandy beach and quaint village. - We will be booking Tindall Barn again! - Dan Juby

The barn was really well-appointed, spacious and clean. A footpath from outside the house makes it ideal for walking, and great for a dog. The underfloor heating throughout was very welcome - nice and warm (but not too hot!) in winter. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

The accommodation was extremely well presented and as advertised. The host visited on the first evening to ensure we had settled in safely and all was well, which it was. Overall the location is fantastic and the property was warm and very homely, well stocked with everything required. Overall an enjoyable stay

Our second stay at the barn it has everything and more peaceful setting with views all around. The added bonus for us was the 3 beds all en-suite. Lots of pheasants and deer were seen. Went to Beccles Bungay and took the little ferry crossing at Reedham then a stroll along the river there. Only little disappointment for our grandsons was the lake was void of fish and seemed to have dropped with water since our last visit, when fish were caught, but nothing this time. A special barn and would recommend.

We love this place, so relaxing in glorious countryside, really comfortable and quiet with just nature for company.
It's a great location for exploring this part of East Anglia.

We had an excellent stay at Tindall Barn. Lots of space and fully equipped. Surrounded by fields of barley shared by deer and hares, amazing. Outside garden furniture tired needed oiling sun umbrella did not fit and the summer house rotting. No fish in the lake/pond. We had brought fishing gear but failed to mention on line. Great fire pit. Joe left us some fizz milk and a tasty cake much appreciated. Overall we would definitely visit again and recommend to friends.

We loved the place, particularly the wildlife, swallows feeding their young, hares, buzzards, kites, dragonflies it was all there in abundance.
The barn is beautiful, spacious, airy and light, good kitchen with a massive fridge.

We absolutely loved it and hope to return one day.

We enjoyed our stay at Tindall Barn and highly recommend it. It's a beautiful open plan property in an incredible spot, secluded and peaceful. A great base to explore the Suffolk/Norfolk area. Lovely walk across the field to the church. Only downside was the poor oven equipment and chipped plates. Hope to return.

We were looking for somewhere quiet to stay to recharge our batteries and this was the perfect place! So quiet with just the sound of birdsong - bliss! We adored it here and will definitely return! Be sure to visit The Old Bank in Bungay- they do a fantastic cream tea!

We arrived to find the barn exactly as the cover photos show. You are out on your own up a private track and the peace and quiet was great. There is a public footpath that skirts the property but in our week there we saw one lonely dedicated jogger on what was a rainy day.

We were a party of 4 adults and 3 dogs (2 bearded collies and one cockerpoo). The accomodation never seemed crowded and having a tiled floor in the main hall way and main living area was a great relief. No dogs allowed in the bedrooms but for us this was not an issue. They had plenty of space to wander both inside and out. The only downside to having plenty of outdoor space, just for us, was that one half of the driveway (on the right as you look at the main picture of the barn) is a field of Burrs - our dogs lost more hair through getting them out every day than they do when grooming. Not ideal for hairy dogs but no worry for the cockerpoo.

We used the main four poster bedroom and the one with the iron bed with the barn type windows on the gable end. The main bedroom has a wardrobe but its more of a gentlemans wardrobe and only has a short hanging space in the top half and drawers in the bottom half. Our friends had to hang their longer clothes in the only full height wardrobe in the gable end room. On closer inspection the cupboard in the twin room is just that, a cupboard with shelves and the only hanging available was on the hangers on the coat rack/stand in that room.

I have read comments about the showers and to be honest they just need care when setting them up to shower. No issues with water or heat. The gable end ensuite and the twin room ensuite both have showers but shelf space was lacking for toiletries. The main bathroom has a corner shelf that can be used but the shower is from the tap and has to be hand held.

If its windy, we advise shutting the black shutters on the gable end otherwise they bang slightly but constantly when its windy outside. The garden fenced bit is not secure for dogs - ours walked staright through so if yours is an escape artist you may need to keep an eye on them. There is an outside tap and we left a length of hose that can be used to wash off muddy paws etc. Great walks straight from the front door but no near pub to walk too.

Our partners enjoyed the fishing lake and caught daice/rud in abundance but nothing of any size but it didn't seem to matter. Did not use the summer house but it did look cosy and there was a firepit that can be used too.

The underfloor heating was great and never felt cold and didn't really need it on. The place kept warm.

Would we come back - yes without a doubt!

We had a fantastic stay at Tindall Barn - We enjoyed the peace and quiet here..

The accommodation itself was good, our Daughter thought that she was a princess as she slept in the room with the 4 poster bed.
Everything to a degree was all on one level (apart from two steps on the back door) - which was useful, particularly as three members of my family have disability issues, also having shower / wet rooms in two of the bedrooms was brilliant.

The garden and patio are is fantastic as it get's the sun all day, so if you spend a day in the barn, there are plenty of spaces to sit and enjoy the tranquility and its surroundings.

I didn't give full marks for the condition, as I feel that there are one or two things that need a little bit of updating or replacing, for example their is a fly screen for the door which has seen better days, and the Parasol is the same.. however this did not spoil our holiday in anyway whatsoever.

Joanna as a host was lovely, nothing was too much trouble for her. This was our first time staying here, and we'd love to come back again in the future.

This was our 5th or 6th visit to the barn , but the first time for a whole week, we wish it had been 2.
Tesco delivered on the first evening so that saved a lot of lugging food.
Just seeing the Hares every morning was a delight and generally just so peaceful, the 2 year old in the party loved it and was able to fly his kite in the breeze.
House martins put on a special display dipping in and out of the pond.
Its a very special place and we will be back again, everything you need for a perfect holiday is here

It was our first stay at Tindall Barn but hopefully will not be our last… the barn is gorgeous with everything and more than you would need. The location is stunning so peaceful with the fishing lake just steps away. We managed a few days out one to Thorpeness which I would recommend and we did the shorter walk from the Barn to the church. I think the return of visitors to the barn speaks for itself. Just Perfect!

A home away from home, Tindall Barn is surrounded by beautiful, peaceful countryside. With some lovely local walks in the area it was fantastic to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. We loved the barn from the minute we walked in to the minute we left.
Spend most early evening in the summerhouse.
The dog never went on lead as so much area to run around.
I would recommend the Barn %.
Joanna was lovely she made our stay very welcoming.

We enjoyed our second stay at Tindall Barn recently and highly recommend it. It's a beautiful property in an incredible spot, secluded, with swans visiting the pond and views across the fields. It was pretty windy during our stay so provided an excellent spot for flying a kite! Our dog loved romping across the fields too. The rooms are lovely and the sofas are so comfortable with room for everyone to spread out. The summer house is a great spot to hide away with a book and the sun warms it beautifully even when it's windy outside. The only thing we would love to see if we stay again would be more comfortable outdoor seating.

This is our 5th visit to this rustic, tranquil conversion. It is ideally located and well equipped. The fishing pond and BBQ are excellent. From Tindall you can easily tour the East Coast, the Broads and the Market Towns of the area. Norwich is a magnificent City with so much to enjoy.
What better way to rest and recuperate in rural comfort than a stay at Tindall Barn

This visit should have been in May 2020, we paid in full when booking and Joanna the property owner kindly allowed us to carry our booking over to May 2021, by which time, hopefully, the Covid pandemic would have quietened down somewhat. Tindall Barn was as lovely as we remembered from our 2012 and 2014 visits, although this visit very slightly marred by two problems. The shower in the twin bedroom would only dispense scalding hot water, it could not be turned down. We told Joanna that we could manage by sharing the shower in the double bedroom, which we did, but suggested it should be fixed for the next rental which it was on Wednesday evening. According the the maintenance man it has happened before, more than once, and the shower valve has been replaced twice so either a failing with the valve design or perhaps something to do with the absolutely scalding hot water in the property, apparently a requirement to prevent bacterial contamination in stored water. The second problem was the gas bar b que, the condition of the grills and flavouriser bars made it unusable. Nothing was said about this on our arrival but it wasn't long before we found two portable picnic bar b que in the hall storage cupboard. So we used those, not great or as good as a proper charcoal grill, but they served their purpose. When fixing the shower we discussed the bar b que with the maintenance man, apparently the problem is being addressed but they are having trouble getting the correct parts to fix it. I hope they do soon, it is a beautiful large stainless steel unit, it would be a shame if its end of life came about for the want of basic parts.

Despite the above we had a lovely relaxing break and enjoyed it very much. We would heartily recommend it to anyone considering a stay here.

Tindall Barn was an amazing find. It had everything that we wanted for a complete break away from the City. We had been looking for accommodation for a while and when the Barn was suggested we immediately hit the jackpot ! It is comfortable, spacious but cosy. The owners were friendly, very accommodating and helpful. We really wished we had stayed longer. We will definitely be returning, sooner rather than later :) Cannot recommended highly enough. We had a lovely week in Tindall Barn. It is a beautifully presented property with everything you need within. The location is set back from a very quiet road and there is no noise day or night. The barn is close to accessing the main roads to Norfolk and Suffolk attractions. We loved our stay here and would hope to visit again. Thank you

Location of the property was lovely, down a small track, with a little fishing lake at the rear of the property with swans on it. Accommodation was superb, nicely decorated and furnished. Lovely views.
A truly wonderful property which I would thoroughly recommend and I will definitely re visit at some time in the future.

Lovely barn conversion right in the sticks, surrounded by open countryside.

Lots to do nearby (by car), beaches are around a 30 minute drive away. I recommend a trip to the Camel park for a day out, lots to do there and very reasonably priced.

The barn itself has everything you need for a short break, it is very well equipped.

We would definitely like to visit again.

Eventually found the barn as directions were a tad vague.
However, The Barn had a real wow factor as did the local surroundings and the wild life just outside the.
Excellent facilities and very comfortable, a follow up visit is definitely on the cards.

Tindall Barn is a superb property in a wonderful setting. Joanna was on hand when we arrived and showed us round as well as explaining some essential elements about the barn facilities.She is the perfect ' host ' and made us fell very welcome.

The accommodation is very spacious and well equipped. The outside space is very natural, great for our dogs and feeding the fish is good fun. Lots of varied attractions nearby, this is just the perfect holiday destination.

Excellent location for quietness and for enjoying the wildlife. Loads of space for a wheelchair user inside the property but a little more thought needed outside. Unable to use the summerhouse due to the poor terrain. The kitchen utensils needs a little revamp. No small sharpe knives. Toaster didn’t work and cooking pots and pans could have been better quality. Loads of plates and cups/ mugs but only two bowls for cereals. The other 4 in the same pattern range were enormous. Excellent fridge/ freezer and enormous tv.

Fourth visit to this property. Excellent as always.
The small fishing lake is stocked with a variety of fish various sizes which keeps the grandchildren busy for hours.



Great family getaway, wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!!

Excellent service from the owners, and the place was left for us really clean and tidy. The location is unbeatable, and if you have kids in particular it’s a fantastic place to take them walking and do some painting outside or reading in the beautiful out house.

This is by far the quietest place we have ever stayed, hence our penchant to return.

Excellent barn, location and host.

Could not recomend higher.

Excellent accommodation,stunning views,lovely summerhouse to sit and relax and enjoy a coffee.Lovely walk to the church.
Accommodation very spacious and comfortable. Owner extremely friendly and helpful, left a beautiful chocolate cake,.
This was our second visit and won't be the last, very peaceful.

We spent 10 days in January in this lovely barn conversion. It is very well equipped and extremely comfortable, isolated but not too remote. We would highly recommend this holiday accommodation.

We have been twice to Tindall Barn and plan on returning again. The barn is quiet, with dog walking from the door, comfortable and warm in winter. We love sitting watching the views over the fields and the various bird life that comes to the pond. Joanna always makes us feel most welcome making the barn feel a real ‘home from home’.

Tindall Barn provided the perfect base for a wonderful holiday with our two young granddaughters.The setting is beautiful, at the end of long track on the owners farm with hardly another building in site. Yet, despite this seclusion, it is well positioned for easy access to the many children's attractions in the area. The lovely city of Norwich is only 30 minutes drive away and the beautiful Norfolk and Suffolk coastline is also within easy reach.
The cottage itself is large and furnished to a very high level. The standard of cleanliness is excellent and our girls particularly liked the summerhouse on the edge of the adjacent pond. The owners have provided everything for your convenience and I cannot recommend Tindall Barn highly enough.

We have visited Tindall Barn for two years running as a party of 6 plus dogs. It is ideal. Very spacious, finished & furnished to a very high standard. Location is stunning, surrounded by fields and wildlife. Good fishing in the pond, lovely walks in the surrounding countryside. Easy access to seaside & other sites. Great barbecue & seated area & lots of room to play or relax. Plenty of parking. Joanne the host is very welcoming and helpful. We just love it.
