Goldcrest Lodge was the perfect escape from a busy job and London life. The lodge has all the amenities you need and the fresh bread, butter, milk & castle apple juice were such lovely touches to arrive to. Fiona was very welcoming and made sure I was aware of the surrounding walks I could do with my dog. Lying in bed with a coffee in the morning, looking out of the gorgeous picture window, was the highlight, along with a couple of soaks in the outside bath. Pure peace and tranquility! If I could have, I'd have moved in permanently.
The bathrooom was not as clean as we would have liked and there were not enough towel rails to dry bathtowels. Beds a bit bouncy even considering 2 side by side. Fridge too small. Cottage a bit tired in need of TLC. Location excellent as one of the friends lived in Wadhurst and there are many places nearby to visit.
