Tucked away, this beautifully finished one bedroom cottage is perfect for a city break. Being only a 5 minutes walk away from the city walls and the bustling centre of York and 2 minutes walk from Monk Bar car Park it is a great property for a City Escape. There is a lovely outside area with seating, great for enjoying a glass of wine or a morning cup of coffee. The property is beautifully furnished - and its pet friendly!

We needed a last minute get away with the dog and this place was perfect.

A lovely, snug cottage which was okay perfectly located in the centre of York.

The cottage was very luxury inside and had everything you needed from comfy bed, powerful walk in shower, decent size kitchen with washing machine, oven and dishwasher.

We spent 3 nights here and it was perfect for a quiet escape from busy life. The welcome bag was a nice touch and the big smart TV was great for the evenings.

The courtyard was great for the dog and would be a nice to sit out on a night in the summer.

The only improvement we would suggest would be to have slightly more comfy sofa and some festoons in the courtyard.

We would 100% stay here again, thank you.

We stayed when it was 30 degrees most days with our dog. There is a huge skylight in the living room which was great but made the room extremely hot. We kept the patio doors open but there wasn’t any breeze so we had to go out and buy a fan.
The place was lovely with all kitchen utensils and a lovely welcome pack but there were quite a few spiders around the property, I counted 5. Mainly in corners of the room where the lamp was and by the washing machine and in the bathroom.
The other minor down fall was we had really inconsiderate neighbours, I’m not sure if there property was also a rented holiday home but they were very loud up until 1am which made it difficult to sleep although the bed was super comfy!
I am in 2 minds about staying again, the location was great and the place was lovely so I think we would but maybe in winter for the Christmas markets and benefit from the under floor heating!

We loved our stay in Bay Tree Cottage, the space was really cosy and relaxing and equipped with everything we needed! The cottage is beautifully decorated and the underfloor heating was an absolute winner! It’s only a few minutes walk away to the town centre which is handy but also on a quiet lane! We would definitely stay again if we were in York!
