I absolutely loved my stay at knavesmire. It was a beautiful little studio in a great location. I will miss it sorely. I stayed for two and a half months. The communication was brilliant. We had some plumbing problems first with the shower/toilet and then later with the kitchen sink and washing machine. It was frustrating but they were on it immediately and even re houses me for two nights when the plumbing problem took longer than intended.

This bedsit was very convenient for us as we were visiting family. The kettle was broken and when I phoned STAYSYORK, they responded immediately even though it was evening. The owner called and replaced the kettle within an hour.
The only issue is that there is no table to eat but it wasn't an issue for us as we did not cook but it would be nice to sit at a table for breakfast.

Enjoyed the stay at Knavesmire studio. Lovely and comfortable little place with good restaurants and pubs in the walking distance.

Firstly and most importantly the studio was spotless when we arrived, very good cleaning, as you'd expect while still in a pandemic.
A rather nice hamper awaited which added to the wow when we got there. The bed was lovely and certainly no problems there. Plenty of plug sockets, more than anyone could need. But general decor was lovely and welcoming.

But unfortunately there are a few things I would pick up on, that all in all really did change my opinion on the stay. Firstly, I could hear every movement from the people upstairs. I wouldn't expect full sound proofing but when it comes to work being done early in the morning.. it was infuriating to say the least. First morning they must of decided to change the layout of everything upstairs as we heard plenty of movement. Also the boiler was changed within our stay, cutting off our water as we put a wash on. The most annoying part was on the Thursday morning that we were checking out. Oh my.. I first noticed the drilling at 0845 as it woke me up, and that didn't stop for a fair while. But to my surprise the drilling was being done right outside of our front door. The outside furniture was moved and I could see brick dust everywhere. Not at all what you want before a fairly long drive back home. While taking some of our bits back to the car, we returned to a gentleman already within the property that was about to start some work. This stopped either of us from going to the loo, which was not helpful at all just before you leave. Not only this, but certainly seemed rushed out. Oh and before I forget, can't quite remember if it was the Tuesday or the Wednesday but we were enjoying a Chinese takeout while watching TV... I noticed a shadow of a man on our front door (blocked by the pull down blind) and he seemed to try peak through to see inside. Without any conversation prior I thought this was a huge no no for our privacy. Considering the bed is not too far infront of the front door. Oh.. one last thing. "Large TV screen" yeah.. better change the wording of that. What.. 27" tops. And WiFi signal was never more than one bar. All in all, really lowered my overall rating of this stay.

I hope this is passed onto the owners and I hear back from them, not worth the money after all of that.
