The Backyard is a newly built house in York oozing with character and offers the perfect accommodation for up to six people. Located in Heworth, a quiet residential area in York, yet within 10 minutes’ walk from the city centre where you can access all the fabulous things this amazing city can offer.

The property was clean, tidy and had all the amenities. It was within walking distance to the city centre and supermarkets. There are also a couple of bus stops nearby and there is a parking space for one car outside the property. We had a peaceful, relaxing and comfortable stay at Backyard No 2.
The only suggestion we would like to make is that it would have been nice to have a wardrobe or clothes rail in the bedrooms.
We would definitely recommend the property for anyone wanting to stay in York.

I stayed at Backyard No2 for a month and it was okay. A very clean house with the necessary home essentials. The location is convenient to York, but perhaps not in the most desirable area. I ended up buying my own pillows as the provided ones were quite poor. As well, for a long stay the lack of a desk was inconvenient, but for a vacation house this won't be problem. Finally, it was problematic using the oven as the fire alarm is extremely sensitive.

This was the perfect home for our family getaway. Home was spacious and well equipped. Great location too with a play park just up the road for the littlest of our party and only a 10 minute walk into town for everyone else. Thank you for a lovely week away :)

Modern property in private location with easy access to York city centre. It was perfect for our family of 4. Very clean, lots of utensils and appliances provided. Everything looked new. Met the property owner who was very friendly and welcoming.
Family loved the house and would definitely use again.
