We hired this house not having looked at the reviews because the previous 6 times we have used Anglesey Property Letting the properties have been excellent with regard to cleanliness and furnishings.

The house is situated perfectly and Rhosneigr is a good place with nice places to eat and drink. The house is well equipped and has some great views to enjoy. That said, its very expensive to hire so we would expect everything to be top notch which sadly it wasn't!

On arrival we noticed straight away that the skirtings in the large hallway and the paintwork were very grubby.

The fridge in the kitchen had not been cleaned prior to our arrival and my Wife had to do this which was not a great start to her 60th birthday celebrations. Drawers and cutlery were not cleaned and the wall stand were the plates were kept was very dirty. I do understand how difficult it is to clean it because of the narrow spindles but it was just not good enough. Everything had to be washed before use which I have never had to do before in previous properties.

On going up stairs the woodwork that ran the side of runner carpet had not been cleaned in a long time.

The bathrooms were dirty, the sills and shower entries were unclean, the showerheads were disgusting, paintwork dirty and also toilet roll holders thick with dust. Some bathroom floors not cleaned fully.

At one point my wife lost her mobile phone and when searching for it down the back of the chairs it was evident that these had not been cleaned for some time. Some of the furnishings in the lounge and elsewhere are in need of replacing.

Sadly my Wife made the decision not to report the state of the property until the Monday because she did not want to start our week away on a negative with the family about to arrive. Two lovely Ladies came out and did what they could to rectify the situation in the short time that they had but really the house needs a deep clean.

I would however say that they were some positives. The bedding and towels were immaculate and of good quality. The parking was very good. The house is a fantastic place to spend time with your family and I loved spending my special birthday with my Family there despite my disappointment regarding the cleanliness.

I could not recommend this property in its current state, but cleaned thoroughly, a lick of paint and update/repair of some of the furnishings would bring it back up to standard.

This was our third visit to Morwennol. We had a brilliant week despite the 'changeable ' weather.( Rhosneigr is well known for having 4 seasons in one day) The location of Morwennol meant we could pop down to the beach when it was sunny, and back very quickly if it rained. The owners had left a small bodyguard which was a welcome addition. The kids loved it.
The kitchen/ Diner is brilliant for entertaining.....plenty of crockery and utensils, and of course a lovely large family sized table. We also made use of the extensive gardens / outdoor furniture.....although we think the decking needs some attention in places. Maybe time for a treatment ( difficult when the house is rented out all summer I know)
Bedrooms are very large and comfortable. The views are breathtaking......pretty much from every room.
Looking forward to returning in 2024. Its become our favourite "happy place'

We have been coming to Anglesey for a number of years and this was definitely the best house we have stayed in. The location couldn't be matched, sea views from all the bedrooms, literally a few yards from the beach.
Everything catered for and in beautiful condition.
From 2 years to 75 years..we all loved it!

The house is in an amazing location with great views. We had an enjoyable stay. We had a few issues during our stay some of which were sorted by Anlesey Lettings and some not.

We booked the property for three generations of the family and it had something for everyone! Amazing views, access to the beach, shops/ restaurants and the comfort of the house made for the perfect holiday for all! We are definitely planning our return. Many thanks for sharing your house.y

This holiday house did not disappoint. Gorgeous views, spacious rooms, enough bathrooms for everyone and the best equipped kitchen ! We are a blended family plus 1 dog and it suited us perfectly for a well needed get together by the sea.

Morwennol is a beautiful house in a beautiful location.
It could now do with some tlc in a couple of the bathrooms and the lounge furniture

Prime position on Beach Road, 1 minute walk and you’re on the beach. Great views from all sea facing windows and perfect for catching the sunset. The house is huge and comfortable, gated driveway parking, very warm and with a well equipped kitchen. My only suggestion is that it needs some tlc with the decoration in places but this is a very minor issue. We have stayed in many Rhosneigr properties over the years and would definitely return here.

Clean well equiped property. Ideally situated comfortable beds and plenty of seating. Views are great and the sunsets spectacular. My only criticism would be the outdoor furniture in the bbq area needs renovating or replacing and the bbq needed a clean. The house insidec was immaculate and the garden ideal for children and families to relax. Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

We had an amazing time at Morwennol. The house was perfect for the 6 of us plus a labrador with the additional bonus of a garden with a BBQ and parking for 3 cars which is a real plus in Rhosneigr and so close to the beach too. The house itself was decorated to a high standard and the downstairs bedroom and ensuite were perfect for the grandparents with everything on one level. Can't wait to return.

Perfect location for the beach. Lovely house for a large group including grandparents. Bedrooms large and view from master bedroom great. Kitchen better equipped than any other holiday let we’ve been too. Secure garden for the dog.



Storm Dennis and 70mph winds no problem in Morwennol, but beach walks with the dogs rather bracing.

There's something very comforting and reassuring sitting by the flickering flames of a log burner watching the nature do its worst outside. Our third visit to Morwennol coincided with some of the worst weather of the winter. The house is warm and snug once you master the heating controls and there is the added bonus of the two log burners and we were glad to have brought a supply of logs, not particularly because the house needed the extra heating but because it added to the cosy family feel for our multi generational family half term holiday.
The house is spacious enough for all family members to have their own space when they wish and the large dining area and lounge enhance the communal family friendly feel.
The downstairs bedroom and en suite is a big plus both for privacy and convenience.
In the main everything in the house is top notch but there are areas that could do with freshening up. The main problem we had is with the mattress in the rear upstairs bedroom which has clearly seen better days and was not the best even when we first stayed at Morwennol several years ago.
Another disappointment was dining at the Oyster Catcher, which was a favourite haunt of ours but we had reservations about it last year and this time was very poor value. However I can report that Scarlett's Chippy is still excellent both in terms of quality and value, it's always busy with large orders so you can place your order and pop over the road to the Sandy Mount for a drink while you're waiting.
The weather was so bad that the usual 8.00am wake up call of the first flights of the day from RAF Valley never bothered us, there was negligible flying during the week, much to the disappointment of some family members.
While it was hardly the type of holiday you can have in Rhosneigr during the summer it was still very enjoyable and we would return to this house again.
As always the service from Rhosneigr Holidays was excellent, even to the extent of coming out to replace a light bulb in a gale, that's good customer service.
If you don't know the area I would recommend it. I first came here on holiday over 60 years ago and although I've travelled a fair bit since then I never tire of revisiting this area with it's bays and beaches within reach of the mountains and wonderful seascapes and sunsets.

Great location. Lovely house, but some areas need plastering & painting, eg bedroom upstairs. Down stair en-suite bathroom door handle was falling off, at one point was locked in bathroom. Kitchen surfaces & cabinets could of been a bit cleaner. Also no tea towels which have always been supplied before in other properties. But otherwise a great stay thanks

The extension to the lounge is an excellent job and everything is finished to a high standard.
The “granny’ flat set up is very useful.
Office staff when booking were very friendly and helpful

Exceeded my expectations which takes a lot of doing.The weather was fantastic, the kite and wind surfers add entertainment, the local restaurants and cafes are excellent.Testing friendly golf course 2 mins away.
You don’t need to leave Rhosneigr it’s all there.

We stayed at Morwennol to celebrate a family birthday. 8 adults 1 child an two babies , three generations. All the rooms are of a very good size to accommodate so many. With each couple having their own bathroom facilities. The views are fantastic from all of the rooms and the garden is also a nice asset. The location is wonderful allowing everyone to just pop down to the beach as and when and you can just run back if you've forgotten something. Rosneigr itself has a unique charm. It is quite small but once you start to explore there is plenty to keep you busy for a weekend without travelling. Great beach walks, a walk around the lake. The Oystercatcher is a great asset as it provides a modern relaxing restaurant /bar for day and night whether whilst visiting the beach or walking the near by lake. The fish an chip shop is also recommended as is surf cafe opposite the house. Further afield Abberffraw, newborough forest and llanddwyn island , Moelfre , are all worth a visit. We have stayed a few times in properties managed by Rosneigr lettings and have not been disappointed. I'm sure we will be returning soon. THANKYOU

We stayed in this fabulous, spacious and clean house for a long weekend. The house is modern yet retains it's charms with enough space and facilities to suit 3 generations and our fur babies. The utility/boot room was a great addition allowing us to keep the dogs crated comfortably when they weren't outside or playing on the beach to keep the house in the standard that it deserves to be. We can't recommend this property and the agents highly enough, we will most definitely be back.
