We ( a family of 5 with children who learned to swim in the pool and who are now in their 20s!) have been staying at Maenporth once or twice a year for around 25 years and have stayed at no 59 3 or 4 times before. We really liked the way it has been refurbished and refurnished. It was also good to see the make over of the Leisure Centre. We will definitely be back next (new) year.
This is a beautiful property, which we really enjoyed staying in for the week with our 2yr old. Great location, opposite the leisure centre, and a beautiful walk down to the beach. The estate was clean and well maintained. The welcome tray of treats was a nice surprise. We had everything we could possibly need to enjoy our first family trip to Cornwall. A great base from which to travel and explore. I would highly recommend this propert and already planning to a return trip.
This is a very nice property, fully equipped and just right for two people. It looks as if it has been done up only yesterday. There is a parking space directly outside the front door and only 25 yard walk to the pool. There is a short walk down to the riverfront where the ferry, pub and shop can be found. The views are lovely. You can walk along the coast in either direction. Falmouth is only 15/20 minutes away and it is only 10 minutes from the main east/west road. Therefore easy access to other places such as Truro, Penzance, St. Ives etc. There are two gardens very close and another two wi...more
Enjoyed our stay at no 26. Lovely sunny spot in quiet location. Bedrooms & bathrooms nicely furnished & outside area great if you have good weather. Would definitely book to go again.
Excellent accommodation with super facilities for the family this is our 10th year of visiting the Maenporth estate and we will return again.
It was absolutely wonderful in every way I expect something on the basis as I would live and have at home and it was exactly that. Don't tell too many people how good it was otherwise I won't be able to get another booking Thank you so much to the owners and the staff at Holiday Cornwall Terry Richardson
Thoroughly enjoyed our week at Rainbow End. A lovely barn conversion with everything we needed. Bonus of nobody having booked Rainbow cottage nextdoor so we had the large and lovely garden (with sea view) to ourselves. May well come back for another stay as it was such a great place to stay. Very quiet. Friendly robins in garden. 5 stars from us. Just to note: the lane down to Porthallow is exceptionally narrow, windy and steep and has very few passing spots. This could be an absolute nightmare if you met someone coming the other way (about 1 car per hour). I recommend avoiding this lane and ...more
Comfy apartment in great location next to the Ferryboat Inn along the Helford Passage. Excellent service, with a thoughtful welcome pack on arrival. Nice sheets & towels appreciated. Would stay again.
The property was very comfortable with a lovely homely feel. We were very impressed how well the cottage was kitted out, whatever you needed, it was there. The location was perfect. We would definitely consider returning!
Ideally located. The property was comfortable and the staff on the estate very friendly and helpful. The welcome pack was a nice touch - fresh coffee, tea, milk, biscuits, red wine. There isn't a shop on site (other than a fridge of homemade ready meals) so do arrive with your own supplies if you don't want to go shopping straight away! If you are looking for a holiday that mixes relaxation with going out and about, then this place is ideal. The pool, tennis courts and pool table were well used and we enjoyed the bluebell woods. With just a short walk to the beach and the fabulous Maenport...more
We have been coming to this property at an New Year for a number of years now and love its location. Sea views from both bedrooms and the living room make it a winner.
Fantastic position Wonderful brows Very comfortable accommodation Would recommend Good pool close by
This is the perfect apartment for us. The view from the apartment is wonderful with a balcony. The beach across the road a restaurant below the apartment you don't have to go anywhere else.
Fantastic location and lovely apartment. Had everything we needed, beautiful view and very spacious.Facilities on site were great and easily accessible. Holiday Cornwall were great too, we lost the keys and they came out with spares within 20 minutes.
We had a very good short holiday in River View at the end of May. We are a family of four who have often holidayed in Helford Passage and we love staying there. This cottage is well-equipped and comfortable. The sitting room is small but nicely furnished and decorated. The kitchen is compact but well-equipped. Upstairs the bedrooms are quite sparsely furnished - you are just given hangers and hooks for your clothes and for some reason there is no dressing table in the main bedroom so I did my hair and make up sitting on the floor in front of the mirror. Not quite sure why this is and a ...more
We had such a great time. The location was amazing...kids could could run to the beach. Pub with great food within a few steps. Lots and lots to do. Would highly recommend for families with kids.
Lovely apartment. Fab views. Decor a tad old fashioned and furnishings becoming a bit tired, but I understand it is going to have a make over over during winter 2017. Tremayne almost become a second home to us, we have stayed here so often.
This is our second stay in this property and it was even better than last year. The property is extremely well appointed and comfortable, and the facilities on site are great. I know we will be back.
Fabulous location, well organised but furniture and equipment a bit tired. The positives outweigh the downsides as far as we're concerned and we will continue to visit this flat.
On arrival the inside of the apartment was clean, however entering from the outside the entrance hall and stairway down to the apartment had not been swept or 'hovered'. We are have stayed at this property a few times and previously this has not been a problem. Other apartments use this entrance hall so maybe there is confusion who is responsible for cleaning the entrance hall and stairs. When we arrived on the Saturday the barrier was up presumably awaiting repair. In the period prior to the barrier being repaired in the middle of the week it become apparent that unauthorized vehicles were...more
L2 has remarkable views over the River and a few metres from the sandy cove. Comfortable, clean and convenient. Thank you Holiday Cornwall.
We had a very happy holiday in 67 Lower Maen. The bedrooms were comfortable and light but the sitting room looked very old fashioned and would be hugely improved with two modern sofas and new curtains.
The change in car parking arrangements this year were an issue! Whilst we understand the reason for change we can't understand why an extra charge cannot be made for use of a vacant space, in the lower carpark, subject to agreement with willing owners. This charge, minus an administration fee, could be forwarded to the carpark space owners probably at a profit! Whilst I am still fit enough to make the 'trek' to the top carpark I think that other older visitors will be deterred from rebooking this cottage. For a seasoned coffee drinker the lack of a caffeine in the property was a serious ov...more
The property was homely and supplied everything we needed. Peaceful area. Short walk to quiet beach. We enjoyed many enjoyable walks along the coastal path in both directions and also into Falmouth. Directions for the 'hidden' footpaths and recommendations for places to eat would have been useful. Overall a very happy stay.
- broken chair -broken microwave -repeated central heating failure -no hot water -leakage through patio doors
Location great although beware very very steep hill to climb to get back from the beach. Apartment looked like it had been left over the winter and not cleaned properly there was damp in both bedrooms and living room the kitchen has tape holding the work surface together and it looks like it hasn't been updated for many years the dishwasher leaked water and was unusable overall nice location great pool and view but poor apartment.
Property had not been cleaned, food on kitchen handles, grapes and clothes in bedroom drawers, childrens handprints on balcony doors. Microwave doesn't rotate, fridge door broken, bedroom door handle coming off. Sofa really dirty and damaged. You cannot call this luxury. PIR Lighting on stairs doesn't work, this is dangerous even for two able bodied adults. It's carefully not obvious that you are living directly above a busy restaurant business. The noise of them moving tables out to their beach area starts by 7.30 and goes on until almost midnight. This is what you will hear, not the waves. W...more
