Excellent accommodation with super facilities for the family this is our 10th year of visiting the Maenporth estate and we will return again.
Originally we were going to take one of our daughters friends, it turned out being just the 4 of us though (we have 2 kids). The option for the master bedroom to be 2 singles or 1 queen size bed is great. On arrival, the house gave you the immediate feeling of being a home away from home. A well presented, modern interior. A fantastic kitchen with all the amenities and utensils you'd need. The downstairs toilet with a shower in it is a really good idea, great for cleaning off coming back from the beach or the pool. The beds were comfy, plenty of storage space, which was a real bonus and plea...more
Holiday Cornwall are fab and this property is just the best, I just keep coming back. Love Cornwall, love maenporth.
We ( a family of 5 with children who learned to swim in the pool and who are now in their 20s!) have been staying at Maenporth once or twice a year for around 25 years and have stayed at no 59 3 or 4 times before. We really liked the way it has been refurbished and refurnished. It was also good to see the make over of the Leisure Centre. We will definitely be back next (new) year.
A lovely apartment but it gets too warm (windows cannot really be opened over night and the water boiler is inside a cupboard in the apartment) the apartment could therefore benefit from some air-conditioning. There needs to be more pillows on the double bed.
Rainbow End and the other properties at Pengarrock are situated within easy reach of Porthallow by "foot", as well as Fat Apples Cafe. Easy driving distance to St Keverne, Coverack, Helston etc.. I peaceful place to relax.
Halliards has been made bright, light and very comfortable. The balcony and position make it perfect for a family holiday. Being able to rely on better weather would make it absolutely perfect!
A wonderful location with plenty of activity on the foreshore and great food and service at The Ferry Boat Pub. The Sail Loft was high quality if a little bijou for 5 people. Excellent facilities and equipment and great having 2 bathrooms . The ferry across to Helford Village added another dimension for exploration and tasty food.Maybe a weekly ticket price? The staff on site were extremely friendly and helpful as all Cornish people appear to be . We were able to use the swimming pool too despite the grey skies . maybe some solar panels to heat it ? a wonderful hidden away spot to enj...more
Maenporth is an A+ location for a uk family holiday. I visited with a 6 year old and teens and they all loved it. I have visited Maenporth many times now and this is the best cottage that I have stayed in. Spotless and well-maintained. Really comfortable bed. The kitchen is equipped to an exceptionally high standard. We'll be back!
A very comfortable and well positioned Holiday home. Well decorated with all Mod Cons. Plenty of room for the whole family of all ages. A very enjoyable time, despite not such good weather. The swimming pool and leisure facilities are great and were enjoyed by all. We will be back again
This is a lovely apartment, only 10 minutes' walk to the gorgeous Maenporth beach. The kitchen / dining / sitting area is a great size and leads onto the east-facing balcony with fabulous sea views. There are chairs and a coffee table on the balcony - not quite suitable for breakfast, but a lovely place to sit with a cup of coffee. The beds were very comfortable (although the pillows weren't particularly) and the main bedroom faces the sea. There was plenty of space to put clothes but not really anywhere to hang towels other than very small towel rails in the bathroom and shower room. (Th...more
Ideally located. The property was comfortable and the staff on the estate very friendly and helpful. The welcome pack was a nice touch - fresh coffee, tea, milk, biscuits, red wine. There isn't a shop on site (other than a fridge of homemade ready meals) so do arrive with your own supplies if you don't want to go shopping straight away! If you are looking for a holiday that mixes relaxation with going out and about, then this place is ideal. The pool, tennis courts and pool table were well used and we enjoyed the bluebell woods. With just a short walk to the beach and the fabulous Maenport...more
We had a very nice holiday at La Moulette. The setting is beautiful with sea view. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxed holiday. It is well located for travelling around Cornwall. We really enjoyed it and will surely be back.
This has to be at least our 10th stay at Hove To and we have loved every minute. As soon as we arrive we settle right in as if it's our own home. There is everything we need for our weeks stay and we love to visit the local pub, the Ferryboat. We would also recommend a trip across to Helford villages and The Shipwrights Arms. The whole experience of a week in Helford Passage is truly magical. We couldn't recommend it enough.
This is the perfect apartment for us. The view from the apartment is wonderful with a balcony. The beach across the road a restaurant below the apartment you don't have to go anywhere else.
The apartment had stunning views of the bay, it was lovely to sit out on the large terrace overlooking the beach. It was very clean and had everything that we needed. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.
Fantastic location and lovely apartment. Had everything we needed, beautiful view and very spacious.Facilities on site were great and easily accessible. Holiday Cornwall were great too, we lost the keys and they came out with spares within 20 minutes.
We had a very good short holiday in River View at the end of May. We are a family of four who have often holidayed in Helford Passage and we love staying there. This cottage is well-equipped and comfortable. The sitting room is small but nicely furnished and decorated. The kitchen is compact but well-equipped. Upstairs the bedrooms are quite sparsely furnished - you are just given hangers and hooks for your clothes and for some reason there is no dressing table in the main bedroom so I did my hair and make up sitting on the floor in front of the mirror. Not quite sure why this is and a ...more
The property was a well equipped and comfortable in good condition. The main quibble ( and could be considered a fire risk) was that there were NO keys to unlock any of the windows other than the patio. On a warm day/night made bring indoors uncomfortable. We hope this issue will be resolved as I have booked it agin for next year.
We have stayed here multiple times in the last 5 years. The area is exceptionally beautiful and the location of the cottage is idyllic. We can indulge in all our outdoor activities from the front door. The staff at Holiday Cornwall are always so lovely and helpful too.
We had a wonderful stay here, it was like a home from home! Good sea views from both bedrooms and living room meant it was enjoyable when in sunny weather. Everything we needed was provided (we did bring out own radio), and it was very comfortable for the for of us. The facilities are excellent too, we made good use of the pool, hot tub, sauna, tennis courts, football pitch, pool table and take tennis. Can't wait to return!
Great location the only negative is the very steep hill . Wonderful views. We enjoyed eating at the cove and the crab sandwiches from the beach cafe.
Only one additional comment on the otherwise excellent duplex - the small round dining table was clearly designed to extend to seat more people - we were 4 and that was fine for a simple meal, the flat sleeps 5 so it should be bigger for that number. we had 7 for supper, couldn't find the additional table leaf anywhere and so barely fitted with plates!
This is our second stay in this property and it was even better than last year. The property is extremely well appointed and comfortable, and the facilities on site are great. I know we will be back.
A very enjoyable stay. The apartment is homely and comfortable but a little tired. Excellent location over the inn with wonderful views of the river. A great place to watch the world go by.
L2 has remarkable views over the River and a few metres from the sandy cove. Comfortable, clean and convenient. Thank you Holiday Cornwall.
We had a wonderful family holiday whilst staying in this cottage. The location is great with wonderful views of the sea and a nice garden area for the children to play in. The pool is is great addition as well as the play area. (Would be lovely if there were ever plans to add a cafe/small bar near the pool.) The cottage is large and the owners provide a great range of cooking utensils and equipment which was helpful. My only recommendation would be to update some of the furnishings downstairs as they were looking a little tired. Overall we loved our holiday here and I'm sure we will be ba...more
This is our second year at Portscatho. The accommodation is perfect for our family of 5. It's clean, comfortable, very well equipped and ideally situated to allow the children to join in all the fun and activities that take place in Helford Passge. The views over the beach and water are stunning. Holiday Cornwall are very friendly and efficient. They made it very easy for us to book and they ensured everything was ready for our arrival. We couldn't ask for more.. We look forward to next year..! Chris Monks
Really enjoyed our stay. Loved having everything so close by. Worked really well for the kids. Would go again.
We had a great Holiday. The Holiday Home was very good. The Facility excellent. Thank you very much for making oure Holiday great.
The property was homely and supplied everything we needed. Peaceful area. Short walk to quiet beach. We enjoyed many enjoyable walks along the coastal path in both directions and also into Falmouth. Directions for the 'hidden' footpaths and recommendations for places to eat would have been useful. Overall a very happy stay.
We have stayed at this apartment for several years because of it's stunning view, convenience and originally the general quality of the furnishings etc. Unfortunately we have witnessed a decline year by year. Last year we were confronted with tiles falling off the wall in the toilet. This year there was a door missing on the kitchen units and the shower door was broken and replaced with a curtain. The mattresses in both main bedrooms are uncomfortable due to loss of springing and should be changed. We have been assured each year that improvements would be made but nothing is done. When you are...more
We enjoyed our stay at The Penthouse Maenporth last year and booked again this year were not disappointed, excellent location with a fantastic sea view, The Cove provides a fantastic range of food and the beach cafe does a chunky burger and crean tea, the location is great to visit Falmouth and Trebah.
I have already emailed them directly not sure why I am getting this as well - they contacted me and I am stil waiting to hera back
Property had not been cleaned, food on kitchen handles, grapes and clothes in bedroom drawers, childrens handprints on balcony doors. Microwave doesn't rotate, fridge door broken, bedroom door handle coming off. Sofa really dirty and damaged. You cannot call this luxury. PIR Lighting on stairs doesn't work, this is dangerous even for two able bodied adults. It's carefully not obvious that you are living directly above a busy restaurant business. The noise of them moving tables out to their beach area starts by 7.30 and goes on until almost midnight. This is what you will hear, not the waves. W...more
