Amazing stay. Loved every minute. We will definitely be back. Perfect for families. In house dining experience and spa treatments highly recommended.
Our short weekend trip to Beaumont village, silverlake was fantastic. The village is stunning and the grounds are equally as impressive. We walked around, used the gym and pool and absolutely loved it. We plan on being back as soon as we can Dan & Gem
A very comfortable, spacious and well situated home with a fully stocked kitchen, and complimentary arrival tea, coffee and fudge. Uninterrupted views of the lagoon and of the wildlife from the lounge and main bedrooms. One dedicated car parking space but plenty of visitor spaces available for further cars, a few of which are in the gated area of the Somerford Nine. We used the spa and gym which were friendly, clean and well equipped.I would highly recommend Serenity. It is 5 star.
The photos do not do this cottage justice! The kitchen was probably the best equipped kitchen (better than my own) I have ever seen... which meant we could get creative when cooking! Milk and fresh coffee on arrival was a dream. Everyone in our family loved the restaurant- food was perfect and a reasonable price. Already planning to come back around Easter time with friends!
Finished to a very high standard, we had a great time at Flagham House. It is well equipped, comfortable, a great open plan downstairs space that gives 8 of you space in different areas. Lower Mill has great facilities, a country pub in walking distance and supermarkets a short drive away. Habitat Escapes were very helpful with all enquiries.
South View provided us with the perfect location for a relaxing and mind-clearing stay. The layout of the site promotes a village feel and it cleverly shelters itself to provide the feeling that you are immersed in nature. Within short reach however are a number of wonderful beaches or countryside walks. The property itself was immaculate and perfect for our needs. The fact that we could include our dog so easily was a real plus. Fantastic on every level and we hope to go back in the not too distant future.
Clear and well equipped house. The house has a lovely layout and homely atmosphere. Highly recommended.
The house was spot on. Perfect for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of life. Well equipped and comfortable.
As my choice of excellent for all but one of the categories shows this was very good accommodation for two couples or a small family. The uninterrupted views over the lake are wonderful and automatic membership of the spa is a real bonus. We have only one minor criticism. The only drinking glasses provided were large red wine type plastic goblets. Who wants to drink decent wine out of plastic? No glasses of any kind for juice, soft drinks, water just the plastic goblets. It seemed completely out of kilter with the quality of the apartment.
We went off season so paid off season prices which was amazing value for money. Condition of the house exceeded my expectations and we had a fab time.
We were a family group of ten. I wouldn't recommend that it sleep twelve as this would be limiting for the two people who would have to sleep on the sofa bed in the cinema room. The house was spacious, modern and well equipped. The beds were comfortable, the location was lovely and with enough seating around the table and on the patio, the whole family was able to enjoy each other's company as well as the view. There seemed to be plans for developing builds around the rest of the lake...and if so this might have an impact and make you feel a bit overlooked, but as it was we really enjoyed ev...more
Had a brilliant stay with a group of 8, lovely view onto the lake and easy to wall to the spa, pool, activity hub and nature trails!
Hi, we were delighted to find the property clean tidy warm and welcoming with all necessary needs addressed
I booked Lake Lodge for a family Bank holiday weekend get together and we all thought it was a lovely property and exceptionally well equipped. The location is great being right on the lake. We made use of the spa passes and used the tennis courts. We also particularly enjoyed the nature trail. We enjoyed it so much we plan to try and book Lake Lodge again next year.
Beautiful house, in a beautiful location. So much to do on site and beyond. We can’t wait to return!
We all had a wonderful time Christmas week at Tawny House. The property was perfect...spacious, light, lovely views and excellent kitchen equipment, which made cooking enjoyable. We used the pools, which our grandsons loved, the restaurant, which we all loved and the scenery was so peaceful and calming. We enjoyed walks and bike rides and loved the attractions in the local area. We will definitely come back!
A superbly well equipped house with everything you could ask for included. Immaculately clean throughout and finished to the highest standard. Swimming pool and fitness area very well equipped - pool lovely and warm (even on December 1st). Great location for the New Forest and not too far from Bournemouth beaches.
We stayed in Ria Formosa for 5 days end of October. The whole family including grandparents and our three kids aged 2, 4 and 7 had such a wonderful time. We were blown away by the contemporary decoration, the big open-space and the wonderful lake views. Kids loved jumping on the trampoline, playing golf on the amazing roof top and playing on the provided Xbox. Ria Formosa is one of the latest developments close to the entrance and 5-min from the swimming pool and restaurant. The house is about 200m away from a construction site of new houses, the noise level was minimal and did not disturb us....more
We had a wonderful long family and friends weekend at Sandpiper. The facilities in the house were excellent, there was nothing we needed that we didn’t have. We had intended to go off site one day but there was no time as there was so much for everyone at Silverlake: swimming, gym, short and long walks, wildlife, cycling, zip wire and more.
Great house in a great location. Ideal for family weekends away, loads of activities for all ages and plenty of space.
Immaculate, well equipped apartment. Lovely touches such as games for the children and blankets to snuggle in to make the most of the balcony. Really felt like a home from home. The weather was disappointing and didn’t allow us to explore but couldnt be helped. Website stated there was a bbq and I phoned to confirm and was told yes, but on arrival there was a sign saying no bbq due to embers falling onto balcony below. We ventured out in the wind and rain on Sunday evening at 5pm to eat at Ballihoo but it was closed. Great customer service, texting early in the day to say apartment was ready a...more
We really enjoyed our stay at Silverlake. The house was well prepared and ready for our arrival, already stocked with complimentary coffee, tea, milk etc. The property was well appointed and was probably no more than 12 months old. We have stayed at the sister location of Lower Mill in the Cotswolds - Silverlake is much better designed with ample space between the homes and individual parking. The area around the estate is lovely countryside but with the added attraction of the coast only being five miles away, the nearest seaside resort being Weymouth. My only real disappointment was that the...more
Loved it. Will look forward when the place is a bit more mature in terms of further pathways for walking, however the property, cleanliness, quality, location was outstanding.
Bellewater is a spacious contemporary home overlooking a stunning lake at Lower Mill. It was immaculately clean, warm and well equipped for a relaxing stay. The only suggestion would be for larger beds, the master bedroom has space for this and the current double is on the small side (comfy though). Definitely book spa treatments and reserve a table at Ballihoo prior to visiting as they both get booked up!
This is our second visit to habitat escapes but our first stay at 1 Somerford Lodge. The property is very modern and welcoming with a beautiful master bedroom on the ground floor. Overall a lovely relaxing stay with gorgeous views.
Comfortable house well situated in beautiful location ideal for walking and cycling or just relaxing. Spa swimming pool amazing Would thoroughly recommend.
We had a lovely weeks break in Tamarisk at Lower Mill. The house is beautiful and very clean and welcoming. We appreciated the fudge and coffee left for us! The location looking over the lake was lovely and it was very peaceful. The is quite a lot of walking up and down stairs especially if you are sleeping in the lowest bedroom so the house may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. The kitchen was well equipped and a lovely open space. We enjoyed the table football and the puzzles and games and the huge number of DVDs. When the sun came out, we took out SUP and kayaks one afternoon...more
We loved our stay at Hazy. blue, great location and kids had a great time. Plenty of space for a family of 5, we would usually book a house but really not necessary when you have apartments like this. We will definitely return.
We had a lovely stay with 3 generations, aging from 5 months to 66years. The house was very well equipped. We often had the pool and play areas to ourselves during the week and the estate was lovely and tranquil. The estate got much busier at the weekends. Plenty to visit in the local area. We enjoyed the nature trail walk from the estate.
The apartment had everything we needed for our stay with two small children and was beautifully presented. The kitchen was very clean and well equipped and little extras like a box of childrens' toys and DVDs and milk in the fridge was a nice touch. The estate is very well maintained and in a great setting. We would definitely recommend this property.
Our family had a wonderful weekend at the Swallows. The house was so lovely and well presented. It was perfect for all of us, our ages from 17 months to 70 years. Safe and comfortable for everyone. The separate childrens play room was very popular with our 4 and 6 year olds. The main living area on the first floor enabled us to all be together and the views from the rear balcony were stunning. The front balcony was not quite so comfortable as it could possible benefit from a thorough clean to remove the bugs and webs from what looks like a bit of an invasion of bugs and spiders. However that ...more
We had a brilliant stay at Barn Owls - we have a two year old and a three year old and the property was perfect for us with three bedrooms and the kitchen/living area on the ground floor. Close to the Spa and with fantastic views of Howells Mere, we really couldn't have asked for a better weekend away.
A beautiful house in a stunning location. The only criticism is that some parts of the house needed a little maintenance due to wear and tear (shower screens, bathroom doors etc).
We stayed at Bittern Reeds with our 4 small children (7,5 and twins 2). The accommodation was clean and spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the balcony overlooking the lake from the open plan kitchen/sitting room giving us beautiful views. We enjoyed staying on Lower Mill Estate. There are few cars driving around so it is lovely for the kids cycling and scooting. We loved the swimming pools and we enjoyed having a drink outside the café while the kids played in the small playground or on the football pitch and made friends with other kids staying at the same time. Beavers Retreat was not very inviting from the outside but it was ideal for outside living and had wonderful views of the Lake. Super Barbecue. The lay out with only one bathroom for three rooms, was disappointing and the accommodation on the top floor was limited. We had delightful time and the kitchen was great with everything to hand, you could possibly need.
To improve the overall experience we would have liked sky sports added to the tv. Also it would have been nice for a starter pack of wood for the fire. Also their needs to be more than one toilet roll per bathroom and not leave toilet cleaning products out in the bathrooms for young children to find.
We were looking for a great location to get the family together to celebrate a big birthday. This fitted the bill. Fabulous location. Great house. Wonderful weekend. Only observations would be: the kitchen... fully equipped with all the plates, utensils and pans you could need. Just too small. With a family of 12 you need a bit of room to get meals together and you just can’t get more than two in there. The beds... the main bedroom was fabulous. However mattresses and bed in the ground floor rooms were average and a bit squeaky! Overall a great place
We had a fantastic time at Lower Mill estate. The house was amazing and very well equipped. The only difficulty we had was finding the property in the dark. I appreciate the fact there are a lack of lights around for environmental reasons but that does make it quite difficult to locate your property if you arrive in the dark. The spa and swimming pool facilities are fantastic. We will be back!
A fabulous few days at Tally Ho at Silverlakes. So much to do and see and so very well placed for venturing further afield; we were spoilt for choice as to what to do! The pool was warm - even on a cold windy day we had great fun splashing around! The spa was excellent too. Roaming the woods, biking, zip wire, rowing on the lakes and learning new skills - the children were happy and exhausted every day - this was all within Silverlakes itself! The property was cosy and so very well thought out and beautifully clean with great decor and everything we could need ( and lots more besides). Every...more
The lower mill estate is a joy to stay and relax in this mad wold of ours. We could stay forever thank you all for a wonderful few days kind regards Carole and family
The house was beautiful but could have been cleaner. There was stuff in freezer from previous tenants. Location is beautiful. On site shop very expensive . On site gym worth a visit. A safe environment for families. Definitely worth a visit
21 of us gathered for a special birthday split over two houses. The booking system and assistance received throughout the process was good. The house provided all we expected and more. It was a most successful weekend supported by the local spa and playground areas.
We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Bittern Lodge. We were a family of 9 and we couldn't have asked for more. The house was very well equipped and there was plenty to keep the whole family entertained, ie an amazing library and selection of of films to watch. On top of that we were blessed with fantastic weather.
We were a family of seven staying over the Christmas period for six days. The house was very comfortable, warm and spacious. It is very well equipped, beds are comfortable and linen and towels to a high standard. The location is absolutely superb with a lovely view of the lake and it is very private and quiet. The amenities on-site are excellent, with a pool, spa a restaurant and a great playground for children. There are plenty of country walks which we availed of as the weather was some mild and dry. The one comment I would have is in relation to parking which was at a premium and upon our a...more
This property was stunning, and a perfect size for the 10 of us. With the added bonus of a snug for the kids and a variety of games hidden in there. The balcony is overlooked by the 5 surrounding houses, which didn't bother us too much as it was a quiet weekend. It was hard to find fault with the property, although I have to say the beds were uncomfortable and we all suffered from aching backs and lack of sleep. With 4 children under the age of 10, we really enjoyed the quiet walk around the complex, 2 playgrounds, football goals and of course the indoor and outdoor pools.
We took this property for Easter 2019 for occupation by 8 adults, 4 children and a baby. The accommodation was perfect for our needs. There was plenty of living space and the bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size and well equipped. The location is amazing - beautiful surroundings for walks and cycling. We used the outdoor pool at the spa, which was great. Lots for children to do and the environment felt very safe. The children loved the way the ducks came up onto the patio to see them. Only a couple of slight down sides - there was a shortage of wine glasses (!). Also, we were only supplied ...more
The flat was well presented and very clean but £575 was very expensive for what it was when you can compare against Centre Parcs. Customer service and help when booking was exceptional and everyone was I incredibly helpful but we were disappointed with the vale for money element
Lovely place, signage to the villa is poor, the code we were sent on the confirmation was incorrect. Some window cleaners gave us the code for the gate (once we had driven round). The thermostat in the bedroom next to the bathroom did not work, so the underfloor heating was on all weekend and unbearably hot for the couple staying in that room. Had to open a window- which let the bugs in! Clearly there had been a dog in the villa as there was dog hairs on the sofa. Facilities were good, would have loved a better view. Just a little more attention to detail, we paid alot for the weekend- glad t...more
We had a really good stay in the Cotswolds on Lower Mill Estate. The complex itself was very nice, lots to do for kids and a good cafe/bar/restaurant. The apartment was good and cleaned well but both the sofa and carpet have quiet a few staines from previous visits - the BBQ is also heavily rusted and unusable. All in all a very good stay, service from Habitat was great and we will come back, just maybe to a different apartment.
A first time away with a baby can be challenging for any parents and we needed a venue not further than 90 mins. away. This was ideal to meet the needs of three sporting grandsons ages, 13 yrs. 11 yrs. & 7 yrs who enjoyed a waterboard lesson and being in a swimming pool with their baby cousin. Having an upstairs kitchen with easy access to the roof made for a relaxing experience. We were fortunate to have beautiful sunshine for good use of the roof sun beds and seating with pleasant views of the mere’s reflections. Seating for our family unit of 10 of us was comfortable: We were easily acc...more
We had a lovely weekend celebrating birthdays across three generations. The house was great with plenty of space for six adults and four young children and we really enjoyed the swimming pools, especially the lovely warm outdoor pool in March! Great for an out of season break but imagine it might get very busy in the pools and the restaurant at peak periods. Only problem with the house was that some of the bedrooms were very hot but then no heat in the master bedroom and bathroom. Very well equipped house but would have been good to know in advance that there was a Nespresso machine and ha...more
Chose this house as it had the right number of bedrooms (5) for our family trip. Its a well presented house with a fully equipped kitchen. Great location for nature walks which we all enjoyed. Will be visiting again.
We really enjoyed our stay in Butterfly Sound. The house is large and spacious. The only issue we had was the lack of storage furniture in some of the bedrooms - three bedrooms did t have wardrobes. I think there are new owners so hopefully they will address this. But other than that, it was lovely.
We stayed here with our two children and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is awesome with the view from the roof terrace really relaxing when we finally got a break from the children for the night. Lower Mills is a lovely, relaxing place to stay we all enjoyed the swimming pool and the estate itself as it was so quiet and the children enjoyed looking at nature and exploring the Miss Mouse trail.
We chose just the right time to come and stay. The peace and nature were exactly what we needed. The accommodation itself needs maintenance here and there, and we found the beds to be quite uncomfortable, however the self catering was great, all we needed at hand, good appliances and the dining area on the porch. Habitat checked we’d arrived and took a report of any concerns we had. It was great for the dog, it was in a great location on the park. Services provided on site were excellent and accommodating.
A group of 8 of us (all friends) stayed at Tischler House, and loved our stay. The photos on the website prior to booking did not do justice to the property! We were all very impressed with the high standards of fittings, decor and cleanliness. Hot tub was an added bonus, pool was not in use for the time of year that we were there (but we knew this on booking). Could not fault it, and can't wait to go again. We all would not hesitate to recommend!
This villa is spacious, very well equipped and has an excellent kitchen, lovely bedrooms with extreme comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Wonderful hot tub. Quiet because cars are not allowed past. The downstairs living space is spacious but the main sofa is a bit uncomfortable - back rest too low. The dining table is too small - okay for 4 but a squeeze for more. The air con units don’t work. Nor does the X box.
Some feedback: Bathrooms were well equipped. Beds very comfy and great to have large TV in master suite. It would be useful to have instructions how to use the remote control for the blinds and knowing which is bedroom 1 and 2. Nice location- first time I have stayed in the Nine. great that main outdoor pool is open out of season. BBQ grill is very rusty so we did not use it. lots of mosquitos - but not much you can do about that
This house was perfect for a family birthday celebration with 4 grandchildren aged from 1 year to 8 years old. The only one criticism was the temperature of the house on arrival it was baking but once we had opened doors and windows we soon got the house to a comfortable temperature. Although it is better to arrive to a hot house rather than a cold house and shows how well insulated it must be. The main room of the house would benefit from blinds when it is sunny as there is no escape. Kitchen was well equipped although the cafetière was chipped which I reported and also all the remote ...more
Fantastic option for a relaxing weekend with the family - either staying home and enjoying the views and beautiful walks around the estate, or as a base to explore the Cotswolds. Our 22 month daughter really enjoyed spending time at the large balcony overlooking the lake, and discovering all the animals - swans, ducks, fish, birds - passing by.
This was a very nicely presented holiday house. it is very well equipped and in a very convenient position for the swimming pools. Unfortunately one bathroom was almost unusable due to a constant smell of drains/ sewerage. Also the heating boiler was so noisy at night it woke everyone up. The only remedy was to have no heating on at night which is fine if it is warm outside.
Great family weekend in Water Park. Lovely venue for getting together with all ages and house provided a perfect base.
Having lost my father quite suddenly and buried him the day before we came to Thistledown, it was the perfect escape to rest, reflect and remember. My dad would have loved it! My mum did love it! The spa was tranquil and the therapists were very compassionate. They were very accommodating when we had to change our treatment dates because we were arriving a day late. The little extras of tea and biscuits, toiletries and logs for the fire were so appreciated. We wish the circumstances had been different. However, we felt so looked after through email and telephone communication and face t...more
We found it very difficult to find this property particularly in the dark. The address was Clearwater 3, but there is no such property, it was called Somerford Nines 3. This should really be corrected. The property was spacious and clean. Everything worked except the inbuilt coffee machine which was a disappointment. Although all the cooking facilities worked, we were not used to using induction hobs, and it took a long time to work out how to operate them. There did not seem to be an instruction manual. They also would not work with the additional pots that we had brought with us. The be...more
Lovely property perfect views and comfortable living, highly recommend for a family getaway. The lovely ladies at Habitat Escapes were very helpful and were able to answer all questions or point us to the right direction. Slight downside, no music can be played after 11pm... Other than that would definitely return for the 3rd time for sure.
Beaumont Village at Silver Lake was a wonderful choice for early May bank holiday. The property had a few cobwebs but was otherwise very clean. The house is quite small but was fine for our family of four. Our children spent every possible minute at the outdoor play area, especially the tire swing and zip line. We had Waitrose deliver to the property as there isn't a big grocery store close by - there is small Co-Op in Warmwell. Swimming pool is heated thank goodness!
Enjoyed a lovely weekend with my family for my 60th birthday. The house was very nice, bedrooms are quite small but the lounge area was large for us all.
Overall the accommodation was good. The kitchen utensils were all covered for every requirement, ( there were some dead flies on the floor!!). There was a nest of ladybirds in the room with bunk beds and had to call someone to dispose of them. There is obviously a problem with the plumbing as the toilets were not flushing properly and the main upstairs bathroom had water gurgling up the shower plug when the toilet was flushed. There was insufficient hot water for 5 people to have a shower. Very disappointed with the Spa. I would recommend this property but the above need to be...more
The week was wet and cold so the fact that the cottage was cosy and hot was suited. However, in summer or hotter times I wonder how hot the cottage could get. We were a family of four and that was enough for the cottage to feel full, especially as there is limited storage. No lake or river view but would definitely recommend being at this end of the estate as the stone cottages have more character than the soulless glass fronted properties over looking the lakes.
The house is nice and modern, with decent furniture and the facilities in the Silverlake estate are excellent - the spa, pool, and play area in particular. We were disappointed by a few things with the house itself. Specifically: 1. The lack of a dining table and the unsuitability of the barstools for young children. 2. The limited outdoor seating on the ground terrace, and the lack of any furniture on the roof terrace. 3. The fact that the bbq is not on the property, but shared a bit away from the house 4. The limited cooking utensils- there was no potato masher, no way to make coff...more
We stayed in Dunnock House over Easter Weekend. This was not the house we had booked online; that house was apparently double booked. We appreciate that Habitat found another house for us. However, the outside area was quite dirty. We did not use the outdoor dining area at all because it was so dirty.
Our stay at Rivendell, Lower Mill Estate was less that satisfactory. Cleanliness: The carpet in the entire cottage had not been cleaned / vacuumed and was speckled with dirt and fluff. The balconies were really filthy and we were unable to sit on any of the furniture. It was such a nice, warm weekend but had to eat all our meals in as the furniture outside was not useable. One of the bath plugs was stuck and we were unable to use it for even a simple shower. Comfort On arrival, the entire property was stuffy. We thought it might be something to do with the sunny weather, only to re...more
