We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Leat over the Christmas break. The apartment looked lovely when we arrived on Xmas Eve. A beautiful wreath hung on the front door, stockings (with chocolates!) hung from the beams in the lounge and there was even a bottle of champagne in the kitchen for us. The apartment was very clean and well equipped and Vanessa had put in some extra cutlery and chairs as she knew we were seeing family during our stay. There were excellent dog walks from the front door, and Vanessa had left us details of where to go. A wonderful place to be .... we really enjoyed it.
Cottage was lovely. Thank you for the beautiful stay. No negatives, other than we were a little unprepared that there wasnt a supply of toilet paper or dishwasher pods for our stay - just wasn't expecting it. Would have been nice to have a couple more smaller serving bowls in kitchen. Just helpful comments for future. We made do no problem!
Recently stayed in this cottage with my cousin, auntie & mum. The hosts were warm and welcoming. The cottage is simply luxurious, very clean, spacious, great location and homemade bread and cake in the welcome pack was delicious. The cottage itself is stunning - beautifully furnished but highly practical with everything carefully thought out to make your stay very comfortable and relaxing. Thank you Binna & Tim.
What a beautiful piece of the world. This little cottage did not disappoint. I fell in love with this village a decade ago on an accidental visit and was so excited to come back. It is a wonderful place that was very easily enjoyed from this superb location. We had a little glitch with the key code number changing, but one quick call and we were straight in. Thank you!
Lovely 2 night stay. Very comfortable cottage, easy to find. The 2 parking spaces were very welcome. The cottage was spotless. The beds were very comfortable both the king size and the singles. There was a welcome bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. The kitchen was very well equipped - we brought some food to cook for the first night - everything we could have wanted and more was there. At night it was so quiet and peaceful - only an owl hooting. WiFi worked well a must with teenagers! Netflix was popular. The coffee maker was a big hit too. We visited the surrounding villages doing the...more
Really comfortable accommodation and well equipped. Very pretty garden, pity about the rain. Perfect for family staying over for a party.
We booked Teagles Cottage for a 3 night stay in July. The cottage was very well presented, very comfortable and the welcome basket provided on arrival was much appreciated! The location is excellent very close to the centre of Stow and with a couple of pubs/restaurants less than a minute's walk away. If the weather lets you down then there's decent WiFi, a DVD player and a smart TV with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc so long as you have a subscription. Overall would definitely recommend.
Had a great break at this moden, clean property. Had to clean all the cups and cuttlery on arrival as they were dirty. Cups were very tea stained, but a wash fixed it. There is no oarking at this property and parking is along a narrow lane - not ideal, especially if you have a big car. This would be the perfect property if it had its own parking.
College Farm Cottage was perfect for our weekend stay - charming and full of features transporting you ages down the history, but skillfully modernized to provide all necessary comforts. The wood stove with the full basket of wood made ready for us was really appreciated in the cold rainy evenings. The location is also great with the fields surrounding the farm giving the feel of remoteness and calm, while the picture perfect villages and towns being only a short drive away in all directions. Thank you for the great service!
A beautiful well equipped house, with lovely furnishing situated in a great location. Perfect for a long weekend
The cottage is beautifully decorated with antique furniture and art and it also looks fresh and clean. It was a lovely touch to have some breakfast items supplied so we didn't need to rush out in the morning. The garden is very pretty and a nice spot to sit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crooked Cottage. The home is top class in decoration and furnishings. The grounds were beautiful and we wish we could have stayed longer.
We were a group aged between 53 and 88 and for all of us Kingfisher Cottage exceeded our expectations. The cottage is very well equipped and furnished to a high standard. It has all been very thoughtfully designed and laid out, with great attention paid to detail e.g plenty of electric sockets, a hairdryer in each bedroom, lots of storage space, maps and walking route books provided. The downstairs bedroom and wet room suited my mother, while the comfortable, large lounge and conservatory provided plenty of space for dining and relaxing for all of us, and the kitchen had every utensil y...more
We stayed here with friends for a wedding in the cotswolds. The house and facilities are emaculate and the booking process was very easy. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent location, beautiful cottage, comfortable, spacious, well equipped, will definitely be going back!
We absolutely loved our stay at Maisey Cottage - we stayed for a long week Mr while attending w wedding in a neighbouring village. We would definitely recommend the cottage it was impeccably clean and owner was super friendly and helpful! We will definitely be coming back!
Loved my stay here , the host was so helpful and the house was beautiful and so comfortable. The only issue I had was with transportation, taxis were so hard to contact but all in all I really enjoyed myself
Our family took two Bolthole houses, this and Sudeley Castle Guest Cottage, to gather for a wedding celebration in Sudeley Castle (beautiful). Both houses were attractively situated, comfortable and well appointed, with plenty of crockery and glassware, Vineyard St (with open plan downstairs and a bathroom on each floor) being particularly well designed for a mixed family group. We could walk between the two houses in about 20min, through Sudeley Castle grounds, but it would have been good to be given a map making this route clear: it can be driven in daytime (gate shuts about 5pm) but at nigh...more
We had a lovely time and we were delighted with the amenities and the impeccable attention to detail at The Gatehouse. Winchcombe was a pleasure and it was a perfect location for our Cotswolds stop. Sudeley Castle was great!!
Almsbury Farmhouse was a gorgeous place to stay for our wedding weekend. It gave us a great base of operations close to our venue and really felt like we were somewhere special. The only downside is that because it was such a busy weekend we hardly spent any time in the house!! We will definitely be back for a more relaxing break in the future :)
Beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding provided was fresh and very warm. Kitchen was very well equipped. Overall the property was comfortable even though the bedrooms were very cold despite the heating being on.
The cottage was beautifully laid out in a courtyard setting and with village amenities close to hand
We (a family of four) really enjoyed Church Cottage in Burford and would love to come back again. Very clean, tasteful, light and airy, comfortable cottage. And we enjoyed Burford completely and enjoyed our short day trips from Burford as well. P.S. The folder of detailed information on the cottage's features and on Burford and the surrounding areas was terrific.
Great home comforts, plenty of space for six/seven people. Everything to a high spec. Location ideal for pubs/restaurants and walks, without being in the middle of tourist hot spots.
We enjoyed our stay at Box Cottage, finding that it was well represented in photos and description. The location was excellent, being a one minute walk from the picturesque Main Street and a short stroll to the supermarket. The cottage was clean and provided all the facilities we needed. Our only negative comment would be that many light globes were not working, leading to some areas which were somewhat dark. I found the bedding/ mattress comfortable, however my wife considered them yo be too hard.
Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Well equipped with everything you need and a few minutes from the castle and lovely town of winchcombe. Will definitely be back!
Fantastic property , we had a family wedding at Sudeley Castle, perfect location. Emma Dent is furnished at a very high standard.
I certainly didn't expect the attention to detail this cottage has! It has everything you need and the whole place is immaculate. We could only stay 2 nights but I would of gladly lived there indefinitely. Charming, convenient to Winchecombe and beautifully kept. Will return for sure!
We very much enjoyed our stay in Prince Rupert cottage. One or two things needed attention but overall quite happy
Perfect location for a walking holiday with footpaths from the door. Lovely house with all the basics provided. View from second floor wonderful. Only comment is that the house is looking a bit tired in places and could do with some redecoration, not quite what I expected for the price.
A good conversion of a little barn with thick walls and lots of character. Very close to 417Flyup Mountain Bike Park. Was aware of the A417 quite close. Great to have lots of little logs for the woodburner. View from the velux over the valley below is lovely. We didn't use the garden but it looked good and in keeping with the rest of the charming property.
Four of us stayed for 2 nights, great location for Sudeley Castle, Cottage homely, clean and in excellent condition Kitchen is very well equipped everything you would need for a few days stay Another plus is High Street is just 5 minutes walk
This was our fourth family holiday at Sudeley Castle. The area is delightful, so walks and bike-rides can't help but be enjoyable. There are so many lovely little villages in the Cotswolds that a motoring holiday is equally as pleasant. The cottages are comfortable, warm and well appointed and contain all the little comforts of home. There is no doubt that my family and I hope to return to Sudeley Castle on future occasions.
Really lovely. Well equipped and comfortable house which was perfect for our weekend. Great to have an enclosed garden.
This cottage was ideally located for access to Sudeley Castle and the surrounding area. It was very spacious and very well equipped. The extensive garden was ideal for our 4 young grandchildren. My only criticism would be that 10am was a bit of a challenge to vacate the property in the last day
Warm welcome, easy few minutes walk to the local pub which is excellent. The cottage has everything you need, very cosy and great location for exploring the Cotswolds.
The master bedroom bed is only a double and has bed frame that makes it impossible for a tall person to sleep. The room has plenty of room to make a true “double” by taking the two twins beds to the master and combining them into a large bed. The double, along with another twin, could provide sufficient beds in the other room. We loved getting out in the country for the fresh air and opened our room up while we went to Sudeley Castle . Unfortunately, someone next to Sudeley Castle started a large burning fire and it smoked up the place until we could return and close it back up! Our CPA...more
we spent 4 nice days, loved the tranquility and locations. What we liked less that this was a semi-detached cottage (not clear from the description) and although in good condictions, certainly not new (as advertised) - missleading. Compared to other agencies (e.g. Unique Homestays), no welcome package, flowers etc, gate not working, keys not as described, just some little things you can improve. regards Gian
Lovely location for this spacious grade 2 listed house suitable for all ages. Quiet large enough garden in quiet setting. Large main living room, kitchen with room and table for 8 people. A residence with everything you would expect from a home in the Cotswolds.
Excellent stay, photos and descriptions very accurate. Easy communication, would highly recommend. Many thanks.
Sweet cottage. When we visited the roses out front were in full bloom. Great location, walking to everything in town and price includes entry to Sudley Castle and gardens. Our one suggestion would be putting up a rack or shelf in the shower to place soap/shampoo on, otherwise very awkward in there.
Foxes Manor is such a fun house for a weekend getaway with a big group, I had a glorious 30th birthday there. Jules was on hand when we arrived to show us the house and kindly offered to be in for the ocado delivery, and had already got the hot tub going for us! Coop is just round the corner for topping up anything you've run out of, and there are lovely walks to the Slaughters from the village. Jules also booked us a table on the Sunday at the Croft, which had super food, highly recommended. The house is so quirky, lots of history and character, with beams and four poster beds, it felt like w...more
Such a lovely weekend cottage. Super comfortable and excellent amenities. We had the best weekend and would highly recommend.
As we arrived at Charles I on an extremely wet June afternoon, we were delighted that the heating was efficient and quickly warned the rooms. The cottage was welcoming - there was an excellent information book which was comprehensive. The kitchen was well designed and provided everything needed for self-catering. We enjoy cooking 'from scratch' when on holiday and found the kitchen had all we needed. The bedrooms had excellent lighting including reading lights in both bedrooms. One observation we have is that the double bedroom needed at least one chair (and a handle on the wardrobe door)....more
Generally nice property but tired at the edges and needs a bit of an update. Minor gripes include central heating not on and music from next door as they left back door open. Enjoyed short stay nonetheless. Found some good pubs to eat at nearby and good walks from doorstep.
This is a great property for a large group with plenty of room for the kids to run around, even if the weather isn’t great. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay (although a few extra tea towels and kitchen cloths would have been useful). The information provided ahead of our stay was well thought through and very useful. We hadn’t been expecting to find so many personal items or family photographs belonging to the owners, but it didn’t detract from our experience. What was disappointing was the level of cleanliness - the linen was clean and comfortable, but the rugs and couches...more
Great location close to restaurants, however very busy and noisy road.Had issue with fire place re not being able to use it as it had birds. Then not being able to use it as neighbours ask you not to due to fumes going into their upper bedroom where the baby sleeps of their property. Property manger told us to use fire place, she then called and asked if she could compensate us somehow, to not get a bad review, and to think about what we would like. When i emailed back saying maybe a refund would be nice....Never heard from her... Very disappointed. The issue with fire place has been ongoin...more
Much that was good/very good, well appointed, ample space, many more plates, glasses etc than anyone could expect - so a large group could be catered for plus visitors for a party in the garden. So what's less good? While general cleanliness was just about ok, fridges, sinks and other domestic appliances were filthy and off-putting. The once splendid garden is being overtaken by all- consuming weed growth, loose flagstones on paths and steps verge on the dangerous. So a mixed bag; notwithstanding, we had a good time and the property could be tip top with a bit more love.
