We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Leat over the Christmas break. The apartment looked lovely when we arrived on Xmas Eve. A beautiful wreath hung on the front door, stockings (with chocolates!) hung from the beams in the lounge and there was even a bottle of champagne in the kitchen for us. The apartment was very clean and well equipped and Vanessa had put in some extra cutlery and chairs as she knew we were seeing family during our stay. There were excellent dog walks from the front door, and Vanessa had left us details of where to go. A wonderful place to be .... we really enjoyed it.
The Byres is well appointed and beautifully decorated. It is located in a quiet, quaint and friendly historic village, away from the hustle and bustle of the commercialised Cotswolds tourist towns. We truly appreciated this haven, it was the perfect base for my husband and I and our two adult children. Many thanks!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at West Barn. Tim and Binna made us very welcome. The Barn is beautifully furnished and has all amenities. We would highly recommend staying here - it will not disappoint!
A well maintained, well equipped cottage in a lovely location. Would recommend it for either families or couples and would love to return in the future.
We had a lovely weekend in the Forsythia Cottage, which is both right in the centre of a small market town and, at the same time, very quiet. The cottage is small but well-planned so there was easily enough space for a couple with a baby. The gas fireplace made for warm, cosy evenings. For nicer weather, there is a courtyard with sitting and facilities for drying laundry. We are grateful to the owners for this opportunity to stay in their lovely cottage.
This is the 4th time we have stayed at this beautiful cottage, which is a real home from home. We have already booked to come back same time next year.
lovely cottage, great location ( close to Bibury and not far from Cotswold wildlife park). very family friendly.
This stunningly restored home was perfect for our family of 8 week’s stay over New Year! Bar the stairs, not many, but a bit unwieldy, this house, it’s decoration and contents are as luxurious as one would find in a 5 star hotel! So cosy as well! We loved it, were sad to leave and would certainly return!
special property in great location special property in great location special propert in great location
Kingfisher Cottage was the perfect venue for a winter weekend with friends. The house was spotlessly clean, very warm and cosy and had just about everything you could wish for. Plenty of room for 5 couples, and great to have walks/pubs/restaurants accessible from the door. Highly recommended!
Loved my stay here , the host was so helpful and the house was beautiful and so comfortable. The only issue I had was with transportation, taxis were so hard to contact but all in all I really enjoyed myself
Great cottage perfectly located for the races and the village amenities in Winchcombe. White Hart Inn at the top of the hill lovely as well
The house was spot less, in a fantastic location, and all you would expect from a top class property. Thank you for your hospitality Ben
Great location as easy walk to shops but felt like in the countryside. Enjoyed complimentary visit to Sudeley Castle. Lots of space for a family get together which worked well from large dining room, sitting room with huge TV for the rugby and snug adjacent to the kitchen for puzzles and games.
On our first trip to the Cotswolds we were so lucky to find the perfect place to stay. The location, Gate House to Sudeley Castle, minutes walk from the village of Winchcombe, cannot be beat. Walking back to the gatehouse after a nice evening in a local pub, we were always so happy to realize that those lit medieval windows were ours for the week. And, when our friends, another couple, came to stay with us for the weekend, the space was perfect for visiting and planning walks in the area. We cannot wait to visit again.
This cottage is of exceptional quality. The decor is very attractive, it is very well equipped and the condition of everything is excellent. The bathrooms are stunning. It was very clean and with pleasant fragrances throughout. There were only three of us and we were only there two nights but it is clearly suitable for bigger parties and longer stays. The back garden is a good size and with great views. A useful addition would be a movement sensitive light at the back so that when returning at night from the parking area you can see where to go. The village is quiet with no shops/pubs but Bro...more
Beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding provided was fresh and very warm. Kitchen was very well equipped. Overall the property was comfortable even though the bedrooms were very cold despite the heating being on.
The cottage was perfect a mix of olde worlds charm and modern comforts nothing on the place jarred, the attention to detail second to none, look forward to a return visit.
We had a fantastic stay in the apartment which was extremely comfortable and a great location for exploring the local area. We have stayed in numerous cottages over the years and the apartment had everything we wanted. For people like ourselves who are avid walkers, the entrance hall downstairs for our apartment and the one next door would benefit from a rack to store muddy boots and wet jackets which would keep the carpets a lot cleaner.
Excellent stay, need mirror in downstairs cloakroom, need socket for hairdryer under mirror in twin room. Welcome pack is a pleasant surprise. Very well equipped.
A good conversion of a little barn with thick walls and lots of character. Very close to 417Flyup Mountain Bike Park. Was aware of the A417 quite close. Great to have lots of little logs for the woodburner. View from the velux over the valley below is lovely. We didn't use the garden but it looked good and in keeping with the rest of the charming property.
Box Cottage is in an ideal location for the village with many excellent places to eat, beautiful walks near by, a nice relaxing time.
We stayed at South Winds for the Festival and enjoyed it immensely. Everything about the house was fantastic, the cleanliness, the facilities, the aspect and most of all the comfort. I normally judge a rental by the quality of it’s cutlery and it was up there with the best. Would love to go back in warmer weather for some walking in the area followed by a barbecue in the garden.
We had a very enjoyable stay, a weekend away with our walking group. The cottage was very comfortable and well located within the village, although rather difficult to find! An issue with the lock on the front door was quickly dealt with and the staff that we met were friendly and helpful. The cottage is well equipped, our only comment was that a lamp in the sitting area would have been welcome.
Warm welcome, easy few minutes walk to the local pub which is excellent. The cottage has everything you need, very cosy and great location for exploring the Cotswolds.
We had a lovely weekend at George III - great location and well-equipped cottage. Super to have two double bedrooms rather than the usual double plus twin, comfy sofas too. Constructive criticism: wardrobe space very limited and could do with a few more hooks downstairs for coats etc. Also nowhere to leave muddy boots (and they were really muddy after our walk!). Thicker duvets for winter would mean that we didn't have to turn the heating up quite so much to be warm at night. It would be helpful to have a little cupboard space in the kitchen for food- we were fine for a weekend, but would st...more
A DVD player would have been great in the property. Furthermore a big cooking pot for a property up to 6 would be appropriate; as well as a second pan. Nevertheless it’s a great house to enjoy the country life.
Lovely location, decor a little tired but great place to stay during Cheltenham Festival. Very close to Sudeley Castle.
Good place. Needs tea towel and oven glove Xogxogxphclhclhxlhxlhclhcljcphdpydpyditzogxogcofs9ydpyfog
I arranged a weekend with friends to walk, eat and hang out and we had a truly amazing time. Beds were super comfy. The downstairs was a great layout to cook, eat and relax. We had a fab stay and would recommend the house and location.
Lovely clean and comfortable Cottage. However on arrival only 3 dining chairs for 4 people plus 1 1/2 loo rolls to last 4 days! Must say that on ringing the service department a gentleman came round quickly with a chair so we could then sit down and have dinner. He also supplied 2 loo rolls. It would be nice if there was a mirror in the second bedroom. Finally I would like to say that the shower was great and the cottage was lovely and warm. It was also in a fantastic position for Sudeley Castle. Overall a great little Cottage.
Very happy with the cottage as it was very clean. It was as described so no surprises. The location is great too
The internet /WIFi was extremely poor in fact hardly working When you are staying for Race Week communication activity is so important Till this is fixed regret will not be staying at this location
Apart from the kitchen and bathroom the lighting is very poor making it difficult for reading in living areas and bedrooms. Some power points awkward to access as behind furniture. Minor decoration needed. Back door could not be locked with key as some wood missing on door jamb. Laundry not mentioned anywhere in information but I knew where it was as I had been last year. My second visit and would come again but some improvements to the cottage would be appreciated.
This was a great house with a great entertaining space but unfortunately lacked a few basic items. Not enough toilet roll. Not enough wine glasses, no tea towel or kitchen roll. No ice and only a tiny tray to make ice. The other issue was finding the house which was a little remote and down a dirt track. Also we had issues with coming in cars that were unsuitable for the road up to the house. You need to drive very slowly and strictly follow the directions provided. Also coming in daylight for the first time was a must. The clear directions on heating the house worked well.
Cottage is done out beautifully with nice antiques and is perfectly located to explore the many wonderful shops in Tetbury. However, beware the traffic is pretty heavy on the street where its located and there is an issue with the neighbour over fumes from the open fire - beware he may knock on the door if you try to have a fire. Overall a pleasant stay marred by traffic and odd neighbour.
We rented two cottages in the same village, for a group of 8 singles for a long weekend of walking, and this one felt dated. Soft beds, poor pillows, tired kitchen. Probably better in the summer when you can spend time in the garden which looked good. Good location though.
