Field View is in a lovely spot down narrow lanes with a fantastic view across fields. Ideal for a very quiet get-away. On our arrival, we found milk, bread, cake, tea and a bottle of rose! Thank you.
A wonderful 2 day stay at Kingscote, everything was perfect including the weather! The house is beautiful and the grounds amazing. The kitchen was well equipped and the table perfect for informal gatherings and meals. We thoroughly enjoyed the splendour of the place and grounds, all beautifully kept and wonderfully clean, in fact the photos do not do it justice. All the bedrooms were a great size and the extra touches of dressing gowns and slippers made it all the more special, bathrooms modern and all well appointed. In fact, it was so good, I am about to book it again .... A big thank you ...more
Beautiful townhouse within the Market Square and close to all the amenities that Stow has to offer. Very spacious kitchen, lounge and master bedroom and great addition to have a basement. High spec facilities made our stay in Stow a memorable one!
Fantastic location. Pub and gorgeous cafe strides away. Beautiful views. Quality bedding and towels and lovely products. Highly recommend. Small but perfectly formed. Definitely coming back. Thank you. X
Everything about this stay was great. The location, facilities and appliances were all of a high standard.
Really immaculate house. Everything wonderful. Location good. Wood left for fire. Close to great pub. Good walks. Kitchen well equipped.
We could not have asked for more! Clean, cosy, comfortable, private and all-round amazing! Thank you!
Lovely little cottage. Rooms were cosy and clean. We all enjoyed our stay. Will recommend to others..
The accommodation is very spacious, very clean, very quiet, so it is a great place to relax. There are a few reasonable pubs within a short drive where you can eat and drink and Worcester isn't far away. We slept well and really enjoyed our short break there.
We had a lovely few days staying in Cotsworld, wonderful accommodation. Would highly recommend. Lovely property, location was also fantastic.
We really enjoyed our stay in Marshfield in this lovely property. The village is extremely pretty and the surrounding countryside is gorgeous. Bath, Bristol and Wells are close by. The house is well equipped and the beds comfy. Parking was tight and occasionally we had to park some distance away from the house - but we still managed to get a space. We would stay again.
Colebrook Cottage was a lovely house located in Blockley in the Cotswolds. The property was even better then it appeared in the photos on the Bolthole Retreat website. The kitchen was enormous and and had all the utensils we needed to cook Christmas lunch. The fireplace made the downstairs area so warm and cozy, perfect for a winter in the Cotswolds! The housekeeper was extremely helpful and kindly set up a Christmas tree for us which our 2-year old loved. In short, I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Colebrook Cottage.
We loved our stay at Painswick Lodge. Tudor Oak is beautiful and everything was carefully thought of; we loved the accommodation and the tranquil setting. The lodge was perfect for unwinding and we loved spending time in the hot tub and watching the horses. The location was great for walking, and there were local pubs in walking distance, as well as the beautiful Rococo gardens. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing UK getaway.
Old Fox Cottage is one of our favourite family getaway destinations. We have visited multiple times with our two boys and would not hesitate to recommend the cottage for short or long stays. Adam and Lois are the perfect hosts, outfitting the cottage with all the amenities needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The village is charming and everything is a short walk away, including The Fleece Inn and the Bretforton Community Shop. We cannot wait to visit again!
Bretforton is a beautiful village (and a great base for exploring nearby towns) and the cottage was stunning: everything you could want, from cozy rooms, to a well-equipped kitchen (with provisions for breakfast!), and a wonderful shower (and tub). It was the perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort.
We had a lovely time at Cider House. It was very clean tidy and had a perfect garden for dogs. We would throughly recommend to our friends and colleagues
We had a wonderful stay at Court Cottage. The property is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The location is stunning with lovely walks. There is also a very nice pub a 20 minute walk away which does good food, which is a plus. Will definitely stay again!
Our stay was AMAZING truly outstanding and the location was superb . We had the best time we felt like we were in the film 'the holiday 'as we woke up to snow on the Saturday morning and with a roaring fire we had to pinch ourselves . The facilities are second to none and the accommodation was very warm in actual fact we have travelled a lot all over the world and it is and was the best we have ever stayed in . Thank you
The cottage itself is stunning. Pro's -Location -Quality of the cottage (patio for breakfast, the smart TV, the shower facilities, the cooking facilities, the island, the fridge and freezer, the overall experience of this cottage we will definitely be back. -Little touches upon arrival, biscuits, prosecco, small milk, really added to our stay thank you so much. -Easy instructions on how to access Key etc. Cons -A few spiders but this is to be expected of a stay in the Cotswolds, just be aware of this prior to booking (if you are scared of creepy crawleys) -Bed is very very noisy,...more
Have stayed in many holiday homes over 30 years and this one is a gem . The renovations and extension of the property have been very well done . Location excellent ,very quiet, but only a 10 minute walk into the town. You can also walk to the town via the canal towpath, lovely walk on a sunny morning and doesnt take much longer . Excellent value for money . Well done to the owners and the housekeeper .
We booked Barebones Farm to celebrate my father's 88th birthday. Our family group of 14 ranged in age from 2 to 88 and we were all delighted with it. My father, who has poor mobility, loved the ground floor bedroom, and wet room, and the cosy snug where he retreated for a snooze but still felt part of the goings-on. The rest of us mostly hung out in the fabulous kitchen-conservatory-dining area, eating, drinking and playing family games (including a bit of dressing up in all the funny hats in the dressing up cupboard!) With so many of us, we decided to go completely self-catered, which was a g...more
This beautiful and well kept cottage is very convenient for the local pubs and restaurants in Stow and a great base to explore the Cotswolds.
We had a wonderful weekend at Hyde Tyning cottage, it was the perfect place for a group of 5 friends to get together. The house was spotless and really well equipped. The provision of luxury handwash, lotion and shampoo, along with robes and slippers made it feel a real treat. The bedrooms are fairly compact but nicely finished and the downstairs area provides plenty of space for cooking, dining and sitting to talk. The British weather was on our side so we could enjoy the patio, which was a bonus. It was great to be able to walk from the door on public footpaths, onto Minchinhampton common ...more
Lovely cottage with quality fixtures and fittings. Good sized bedrooms with comfy beds. The only minor thing is the stairs could be problem for some people as they are quite steep. The few days we spent here we really enjoyed it.
The cottage is well presented and in just the right location. The off road parking is a must when it's school holidays.
We had a really relaxing stay in this beautifully decorated and furnished cottage. It’s in a very scenic location in a beautiful Cotswold village. The beds especially were super comfortable!
We couldn’t fault the cottage it was perfect! The only thing was I couldn’t turn up the heating as I get so cold, however the owner messaged and sorted this for us which was lovely. So clean, comfortable, perfect to get ready for my wedding morning and the top room was beautiful! we will definitely be coming back. The biscuits and milk was a lovely touch too- thank you so much!
Beautiful house and garden. Plenty of parking. Comfortable beds, very clean, beautiful area, easy booking system and check in. Would highly recommend staying.
Booked this house for a long weekend with family. It was the perfect base. House was beautiful and had everything we needed. Great location for lots of walks from the house.
Temple Guiting Cottage provided the absolute perfect setting for our Cotswold Christmas holiday. Very spacious and comfortable, it had everything we needed for our family of seven. Everything was very tastefully decorated and it had a lovely cosy feel. The location itself is in the quiet village of Temple Guiting but all the top attractions are relatively close by (Bourton, Stow, Broadway, Sudeley Castle, the Slaughters etc.) We spent most of our time exploring the many beautiful walks in the vicinity. Thoroughly recommend this property and would love to stay here again.
Lovely cottage. Lovely location. Would return. Would be even better if the wIfi worked so you could watch tv.
This is our second visit to the Drying House. Again the house was spotless and very warm and comfortable. We were welcomed by a super friendly couple who helped us with parking etc. Everything we needed was in the house, a wonderfully equipped kitchen with everything you need and some cleaning items. Very comfortable beds, with crisp white bedding and soft towels. Bathrooms are snug but have wonderful showers! Heating was superb and easily turned up or down with plenty of red hot water. We loved every minute of our stay and Ledbury has everything from top end hotels to a very good f...more
What a fabulous find. This beautiful little cottage is so conveniently located. A short walk from the town centre, where there is a wonderful selection of little shops and cafes. Yet only a ten minute drive from the stunning Malvern Hills. The Conygree Woods are a short stroll away for morning walks if you have a dog. The cottage was very well equipped, with everything we needed during our stay, and the beds were super comfy, with the master bedroom having a super king size, which felt very luxurious! Janet and Peter were quick to greet us on arrival and make us feel very welcome. They live in...more
A lovely cottage in a lovely part of the world. Good accommodation and a lovely garden. Shame about the phone signal but not the Cottage’s fault!
Stable cottage is located in a wonderful setting and is extremely cosy. It has everything you need and the hosts are very helpful. We loved the hot tub and the local walks and will definitely return!
A great place to stay with fabulous walks from the door. Beautiful part of the world and a very pretty village. The house worked very well for 2 children, parents, a granny and an auntie, and was impeccably clean. Many thanks for a lovely birthday Weekend!
Four of us had a lovely girlie stay in Singer House. The location is perfect for restaurants etc. House is cosy with a stunning court yard.
Enjoyed our stay. Thank you to all concerned, ------------------------------------------------------.
A beautiful property in gorgeous surroundings If I was being really picky, I would say extra table wear ( only 3 dinner plates) and cooking equipment would be useful . We did however have a fabulous holiday with great walks for our dog .
We just back from a lovely family break and great to all be together after the year we’ve had. Everything was just perfect and the owners put a lot of effort into decorating the house with Christmas decorations and making us welcome. The pool table was a big hit with the younger and older members of the family too. We managed a few walks and a visit to the Enchanted Light Festival at Cotswold Farm Park which was enjoyed by the family. We hopefully shall return another time.
The Cottage was immaculate and we loved staying in Bretforton. Will definitely stay again this year at some point.
Stayed at the cottage for our daughter’s wedding which was being held nearby. Very comfortable, exceptionally clean and the lovely garden was a great bonus especially as the weather was very sunny and warm. Four good sized bedrooms , 2 reception rooms and a great kitchen with all you need.
We stayed here for a week after not being any where since the start of the pandemic .We would thoroughly recommend this place for a relaxing break as it is pretty central if you wish to explore the Cotswolds..We would definitely stay here again ! The owner was very welcoming and pleasant through out our stay The only criticism we would make when you are staying for a week is that there is a shortage of cleaning products ,towels and crockery in the cupboards .
What a wonderful house, absolutely stunning. Excellent customer service bolthole retreats, we had to change dates because of covid. Bolthole went out the way for us, because the house we originally booked was booked was rented out on the day we required it they upgraded us to a bigger house next door. Superb service and excellent house.
Lovely cottage in a beautiful location only a short walk to a farm shop and lots of lovely footpaths all around. Cottage looked better than the photos, really cosy and well presented. Only issue was communication - an email prior to the stay was unanswered and the contact person did not reply to a text query about the location of firewood.
Cotswold Cottage was perfect for our weekend retreat in the Cotswolds as a party of 6. It was beautiful in itself and in a wonderful location. Fanastic facilities in the property with perfect instructions for access/use over the weekend. Wonderful period character and decoration throughout the accomodation with gret modern factilities and quick wifi. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.
Church Cottage is ideally situated on a quiet lane right next to the Church and only moments from the shops on the High Street. Very well furnished with thoughtful extras such as a bluetooth speaker we could use in the garden. Very highly recommended.
Had a lovely time here. The response from the owner was quick to any queries we had. We would come back again. Could benefit by having instructions on how to use tv and local recycling requirements as not enough containers.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely and cosy and has a home away from home appeal. The village is lovely and quiet and was great to sit in the garden overlooking the field. There were just a couple of bits that need looking at they didn't effect our stay but had to find creative soloutions. So the child lock under the sink does not work and this is where the chemicals are stored. The stairgate does not stay closed so had to block them off with chairs. No upstairs child gate. The plug in the bath does not work properly and the water drained out before my 18 month old had finished. T...more
Bishops was lovely and a great location for exploring the area. Ledbury itself was lovely too, with lots of independant shops right on the doorstep. We had a lovely stay.
Very nice cottage, clean, warm, good parking, Wi-Fi, tv and everything right on the doorstep. Comfortable living room and good sized bedrooms. Nice kitchen but one minor negative comment in that it might be time to update the pans and some of the sharp knives but other than that it has everything you need. I would definitely recommend it to friends.
Stayed at Hawthorn Cottage as our group of 7 adults were attending a family wedding a short distance away. The accommodation was comfortable, spacious and well equipped. It was also in a very quiet location. There was plenty of parking (including visitor spaces) for our 3 cars. My only suggestion would be an iron and ironing board. We needed to press shirts before attending the wedding but fortunately had already checked if one was provided and brought our own. We would definitely stay again.
I stayed for a total of 3 nights with my partner. On our arrival there were a few unexpected issues with the property which led to me calling up the owner, Kate, late at night (10pm-ish!). Kate picked up and immediately came round to the property to try and sort the issues, and offered us a stay in one of her other properties instead to give her time to fix the problems. I was really impressed with Kate’s speed in coming round as well as her kind and friendly attitude. We ended up staying in Owl’s End - the property next door, and we had no qualms whatsoever! The place was very cosy, and ...more
We loved our stay in the Granary - it was a great spot for walks with our pooch, so close to the river and there were lots of good places to get dinners (although opt for collection or know your instructions well for delivery as we ended up on a rescue mission!). There is also a big Tesco near Evesham which is only a quick drive up the road, so you can pick up everything else you need. The kitchen area looked very clean and most of the utensils/cutlery also looked clean. Besides quite a few cobwebs everywhere else also seemed clean too! And cleaning supplies were left, which was really han...more
We (four female friends) had a great time staying at Monument Cottage for a weekend. The kitchen is really lovely, and well stocked with all stuff you need. There are even board games and a pack of cards available for use. We had dinner in the Kingham Plough which was easy to reach via the taxi numbers provided (so we could have some wine and not drive). The second night we ate at Chequers which is in the village (a minute walk away). We spent the whole day on Saturday walking via public paths through the neighbouring farms around the area and to Chipping Norton for some tea. Then spent Sunday...more
Gorgeous house- we booked it for a family gathering to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Everyone thought the house was fabulous- we had a wonderful stay .
We thoroughly enjoyed our New Year’s stay in Winchcombe, the cottage is well situated for everything in the town with easy parking outside. The cottage has a good layout. It is extremely well equipped and the toiletries and welcome tray were nice additions. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay at Stable Cottage. It was perfectly located for our exploration of the Cotswolds and when we returned back each day it was to a beautifully decorated warm and cosy cottage. We would thoroughly recommend you stay here.
Our stay away was absolutely amazing. The property itself was so cosy and full of character. Hot tub was perfect in the super cold evenings and even better late afternoon when you could take in how peaceful and beautiful everything was. We had everything we could possibly need. The 10 minute walk into the village was perfect for a few glasses of bubbly in the evening!
A fantastic base for a visit to this area. Perfect for visiting the Sudeley Castle Illuminations a short walk/drive away. We had a very comfortable stay.
Unfortunately we felt disappointed with the facilities provided at the Cottage. Full details have been provided directly .
We enjoyed a great few days in the cotswolds biding local villages and sights. What a wonderful modern property, spacious, light, and comfortable. Everything but a bread knife in the kitchen! Would definitely recommend.
We had a great week at this cottage in Cowley. Thanks fo the felxibility to change (due to covid). It was great to be in the UK again.
We stayed here hoping for a relaxing stay after our wedding, we were not disappointed. Both Fiona and Malcolm provided an informative and friendly welcome, then left us to our own devices until we needed some further help. Every time they were so helpful and, even after a red wine accident, they proved that nothing was too much trouble! The accommodation was well equipped, clean, cosy and as fully advertised. Even if the weather was changeable we still enjoyed the views and peace throughout our stay. We also appreciated their advice on local restaurants and pubs and they were all excellent. ...more
Everything was perfect. The owners sorted a problem out really quickly once we notified them. Will definitely come back again.
A lovely cottage , in a perfect location. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need. Winchcombe is a lovely town with plenty of restaurants, all within walking distance of the cottage
Cosy, comfortable and clean cottage in a picturesque location, a perfect weekend break , couldnt have wished for more
Myself and my 4 friends found the estate by accident whilst searching for a post Covid break just for us girls!! Well, we will all be back. The location is awesome, the accomadation couldnt be better. We loved the animals on the farm. We fell in love with Blue, Brie, Maggie and the puppy! What a super bunch of dogs, they make you feel at home without invading your space. We had 3 perfect days, filled with walks, afternoon tea, Bath, the Spa and the farm. Wayne was also the perfect host, in Clive's absence. We will be back with our families, with our husbands but.most importantly ...more
Very clean and well equipped. Good location for the exploring the cotswolds. Helpful information in the welcome pack for places to visit and eat. Plenty of parking. The mattress was too firm for us.
Historic cottage with all mod cons in a quiet part of town perfectly maintained and cleaned. We have two toddlers and had to keep an eye on them with the open staircase but this was not a major issue.
Overall it was a lovely property but some of the beds are very poor and needs a new mattress (springs protruding through the mattress).
Stayed 2 nights, charming location, great parking, easy access to town and castle. Very comfortable stay. Would recommend and would love to return here. Lounge would benefit from additional lamp please.
We recently visited this lovely little cottage for a girly weekend away for my mum's 60th birthday. The cottage was cosy and perfect for our needs. The cottage is in a great location too. It's half an hour from Oxford, so great of you want to go shopping and also very close to Blenheim Palace. The owners live next door to the barn and are very friendly and welcoming.
We stayed for just two nights but it was so much nicer than a hotel or bed and breakfast, it really did fell like home from home. Everything you need (apart from food) is provided and it’s a 5 minute walk into the centre of the town with plenty of places to eat.
We had another great weekend, but there were dead flies in the single bedroom on the carpet when we arrived and more flying around the apartment.
Great cottage in a great place! We enjoyed ourselves immensely. The cottage was completely decorated for Christmas which our two little boys loved. It is cozy and everything you need is present. Thanks Bolthole, we'd love to come back!
Lovely stay at Hayloft Barn for a few days away with our dog. Great location for accessing walks and the local area and pubs! Really cosy with the log burner each evening and fully equipped with all the essentials. Would highly recommend!
Very pleasant stay. Pro's : spacious for 2 people, accepted dogs, very well equipped with everything that you would need. 2 bathrooms, 2 single beds in one bedroom, one very large double in another bedroom with ensuite. Upstairs was the comfortable main living area with kitchen, comfy sofas, log burner and dining table. Cons : some upgrading required, very very close to a main road so was noisy, no direct access to garden without going downstairs and out the front door. Garden needed a bit of a tidy up. We enjoyed our stay but would try and find somewhere that wasn't quite as close to the...more
Our second stay here and it was a pleasure to be back. Comfortable, warm accommodation with beautiful views. Well-equipped kitchen, with lots of little extras. Spacious living room with smart TV. Upstairs the beds are super comfy. Everything is clean. The farm and fields are great to explore and friendly owners and staff are on hand to answer questions. A very relaxing stay.
Beautiful cottage in a first class location. Excellent access to the grounds of Sudeley Castle, the high street and the Gloucestershire Way. We have stayed in this cottage twice now and can't fault it. Highly recommended
Cottage and location were great. Would like to have been told that there would be construction work going on next to property with the workers going pasted the windows all day
Lovely old barn conversion-really loved the Cotswold country decor and furniture. Great views over the rolling Cotswold hills. Clean and airy with a large drive for as many cars as you like. Great log fire. Had everything we needed and most of the basic bits, except loo rolls and toiletries such as shower gels seemed to be missing. Paths around the house were wet and slippery too which could be dangerous. Drive very boggy around front gate so had to get feet wet to walk out.
Maple House is a lovely place for a multi family stay. The house is really spacious, with a lovely large kitchen/diner and living room. Ebrington is a beautiful village. The pub is a stone's throw away. Vegetable Matters farm shop and cafe was the perfect place for breakfast. The hot tub was a welcome addition. My only criticism really would be that the garden was a little sparse (no plants/shrubs) and the lighting on the steps from the parking area was poor - but neither of these things detracted from our enjoyment of the house. Thank you!
4 night stay location ideal for short stay walking car req for further attractions steam railway virtually within touching distance local pubs within 10 mins driving all do excellent food at reasonable price . Shepherds hut unique experience very comfortable and peaceful location with nice modern bathroom wood fired hot tub a nice touch . Ideal place just to sit out and re charge batteries and de stress .
Very quirky property. Great location very close to village with excellent pubs and restaurants. Cotswold Way walk literally from the gate. We met friends for a weekend with our dogs it was fab.
Beautiful clean and modern cottage within a few minutes walk of the town. Well equipped, comfy beds and great shower. Set in a really pretty courtyard and close to many walks Greeted with a bottle of bubbly for my husbands 50th which was a really lovely touch, thank you! Will certainly recommend and hopefully be back again.
Lovely cottage, extremely clean although the cleaning products used were very strong smelling and a little overwhelming. Everything you need is there for a comfortable stay although the curtains in the twin bedroom would not fully close. The noise from the apartment above would probably have been an issue if we had stayed longer than 2 nights as you can hear people walking around above you and their TV sounded like it was right over our double bed. We would stay again, as the location is lovely, but in a detached cottage so we weren't worried about the noise from above
Lovely cottage, suitable for groups. Everything you could think of was provided. The oven/instructions for the oven took some time to get the hang of but we got there eventually. Parking is quite tight but there's plenty of space on the road outside.
A lovely , quiet , quirky cottage with enclosed garden, quiet location , comfortable beds, friendly and helpful host
Arriving at The Bothy, we found a very clean and comfortable snug - exactly what we needed. We booked the space during lockdown as we had a wedding to attend in the area and it really was the perfect choice. The little touches we found were so helpful: basic groceries and treats (oil, salt and pepper, ground coffee, fresh milk and cookies; even two little bottles of wine in the fridge!) and a Smart TV (we brought our own Firestick which made things super easy). As we’ve been to Bibury many times, we didn’t need to take advantage of its excellent position for the tourist trail but would highly ...more
A few flies around windows on arrival which I hate. No milk shower gel or shampoo as mentioned in booking. Grill in oven dirty. Not sure what the £70 cleaning fee is all about as cobwebs around still and windows need a good cleaning apart from that a nice stay with comfortable bed
Can not recommend this place enough! It’s charming, spacious, well equipped and a lovely cottage feel. Really great communication and couldn’t have been more helpful. Will be back!!
The cottage came recommended by a friend and didn’t disappoint. Great location and a short walk for great local pubs and food. We also walked to the castle and spent twice as long as expected it was so interesting. We get visitors from the USA often and will definitely use this as a base in future.
Great location just off the high street. Some nice touches on arrival such as fresh flowers and cookies. Shower curtain over bath was not ideal, impossible to shower without it touching you. Well equipped kitchen. The description on website about steep stairs is very reflective. There are three bedrooms but I think 4 adults is pushing the downstairs to limits, hence why I don’t think the cottage was particularly great value, however I booked it just a few weeks ago, I guess we are in high season and demand is high this year, we enjoyed our stay and had a lovely break
Stay here every Xmas,so obviously love it. Winchcombe is such a pretty town! Setting of property is perfect - we love to walk around castle grounds. Just wish property had a dishwasher! Very close to nice pubs and restaurants, and some lovely walks in the area.
Lovely ‘shabby chic’ cottage with nice garden and view. Some of the furniture is getting towards the end of its life, but adds to the charm. We had a fuse blow twice which meant no hot water, but maintenance came immediately and fixed it. The walk to the village is a bit treacherous on a busy country Lane, but overall, we loved the cottage and would definitely stay again.
Box Cottage is a very pretty, well maintained cottage in the beautiful village of Broadway in the Cotswolds! The cottage is situated just off the main high street in a quiet pedestrianised lane. The cottage has a lovely courtyard garden with tables and chairs and a bbq for those lovely summer evenings! The inside is equipped with all the facilities needed for a pleasant stay. Broadway itself has an array of lovely gift shops, pubs, restaurants and public footpaths for walking off those who extra calories whilst also enjoying the beautiful countryside!. It is also conveniently situated to e...more
This is an amazing property fantastically located in the centre of delightful Winchcombe. The front door opens out onto the Main Street whilst the back where the main living area is looks out over beautiful rural scenery & is so quiet. Well equipped & beautifully designed. The front rooms were a bit empty & looked slightly unfinished as a result. However we didn’t need to use them at all as the large kitchen diner lounge area was perfect. For 6 ladies the 2 small sofas were more than adequate but for more adults or men they may be a bit small. Bedrooms & bathrooms were clean, comfortable...more
Lovely old Cotswold house which has been restored to the highest standard with a sympathetic touch and a simple neutral colour palette. Original beams etc give a sense of it's past. Very helpful information pack and "starter kit" of basics (milk/coffee etc) - and very responsive maintenance when we found the water wasn't heating up. The village pub - The New Inn - is a gem, with attentive staff and great food and beer !
We had a fabulous stay in the Princess Elizabeth cottage. The location in its own little courtyard and parking is a five minute walk to Winchcombe high street with all its facilities. The cottage itself is very spacious with a large kitchen. Beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has quality equipment and everything you need. The three welcome packs were much appreciated. We made use of the free entry to the castle and had a lovely few hours there . We would certainly stay again.
We booked last minute to visit New Church Cottage and had an excellent time. The cottage was perfect for us and was a real home from home. Everything was newly renovated and extremely comfortable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Tetbury is a lovely town and we used it to plan various walks and enjoy some great food.
This is a lovely, well-appointed cottage with all the facilities we looked for, to have a cosy Christmas break. The kitchen is especially well-equipped and spacious. Thoughtful festive touches made the cottage feel welcoming and homely. Very clean throughout with quality beds, towels and bed-linens. Our only complaint was the sofas which looked stylish but were supremely uncomfortable. It didn’t seem to matter how we sat on them, we all ended up with back pain after a short while. Replacing these should be a priority in our view. But other than that, the cottage was lovely and provided ...more
My family and I celebrated a magical Christmas at the Old Manse. The space is just perfect for a family get together - it is so much bigger than we expected - spacious bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms (with amazing showers) and lots of socialising spaces to break out into and enjoy. The open plan kitchen with huge dining table is without a doubt the showstopper and hub of the house, perfect for large family to enjoy. House is equipped with pretty much everything you need and any kitchen utensil you can think of. Loads of festive touches were provided during our stay - beautifully decorated C...more
Overall we had a very nice stay at Amber Cottage, we found the cottage comfortable and well equipped, I have to praise the owner for the pots, pans, plates and glasses etc, everything had been thought of in advance. The open plan layout works well, with two of us staying we had a very relaxed time while also taking time to go to many of the local sites, great access to Gloucester, Cirencester, Bristol (Air museum) and lots of Cotswold locations. We both got what we wanted from the holiday and came back refreshed and happy with our stay. This is also extremely well situated for the 417 Bike Par...more
This was a wonderfully quirky property with all sorts of enchanting features and furnishings. Although mid-winter, its location in the middle of woodland provided a peaceful and interesting time for adults and children alike. We appreciated the provision of a Christmas tree in the living area.
Found the Cottage was a little small for 6 adults ie the downstairs bedroom only 1 shower - felt cottage had not been cleaned fully I realise it was Christmas but previous occupants rubbish was still there maybe someone could of gone to the bottle bank also a previous occupants piece of clothing found behind the sofa leak under the sink and dishwasher door was faulty
Peaceful, tranquil, surrounded by Nature. A brief though enjoyable break that restored and recharged!
Enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful here and great location. Lots to do here or nothing - your choice. Everything you need close at hand and choices. Because of the slope ceilings a little uncomfortable upstairs but we will just rent another cottage next time. We enjoyed our stay.
So happy to be able to stay at Horseshoe Cottage, was just what we needed for our holiday and the cottage was perfect for its location and it was a lovely very comfortable cottage with everything that we wanted.
A fantastic relaxing couple of days stay with friends at Lower Lodge Barn. A wonderful barn conversion very clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need, even down to a little sewing kit in the drawer if needed. Super hot tub too. Thank you for the welcoming sponge cake enjoyed with a cup of tea on arrival. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful cottage and we had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. All the rooms were very lovely, one bedroom a bit on the small size but sufficient and the master bedroom is really in need of a full coat of paint rather than just doing patches. The kitchen was fabulous with a very good cooker and dish washer. It was complete with most cooking utensils, just missing a potato peeler. Cleaning products were available to use which was also great. Garden beautiful but they fail to mention you are over looked by neighbours that actually have access into your garden through a gate. Very shoc...more
The Barn was very comfortable and very clean. It had a small enclosed garden which was safe for dogs or children, there was a picnic bench where you can eat meals and three chairs that were more comfy to sit and relax in. The location was very quiet, it was just a short walk 15 minutes into Bidford on Avon village where you can get a fab meal at the Bridge eatery. There was everything you need in the kitchen, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, etc, Bathroom; loo rolls, shower gel, soap etc, However, the signage to Oosland Barns is very small and easy to miss the first time as we did, the ...more
Great location, easy access for guests coming from Bristol, London, and Oxfordshire. The house is fairly near a big road but you can’t hear traffic from inside at all, which was a relief as a light sleeper! Good facilities for a birthday weekend for 10 adults - decent cooking equipment (knives really need a sharpen and no wooden spoons, though, so perhaps bring your own if you’re planning on lots of cooking!) and close by to a great pub. Comfy beds, lovely log burner, and nicely decorated. Would love to come back.
We arrived for a week’s stay during a mini heatwave in summer 2021. It was immediately noticeable how warm the whole property was. Unfortunately, to add to the heat, the electric towel warmer in the bathroom had been accidentally left on which made the bedroom swelteringly hot. We enquired about the possibility of a fan for the bedroom but unfortunately none were available. Even with all the doors and windows left open through the night, the temperature in the property made it very difficult to get to sleep throughout the whole week. The property itself has been done to such a high...more
Really enjoyed our stay - there's tones of social space, big outdoor area and pub just around the corner. We went as a group of 8 girls and it was perfect for us - we're even thinking about booking again for next year. I would say there are 3 things that could be improved. 1. Nowhere near enough toilet paper provided. 2. Could do with a deep clean - I know you're in the countryside so insects will get in, but need to clear away thing like cobwebs better. 3. General facilities could be updated: knives, shower, fridge etc.
Beds and bedding very comfortable. Clean and everything needed for our stay. Thank you for the pint of milk in fridge! Shame about the slightly damp smell in the kitchen. A bit dark, but you are in a cottage in the Cotswolds! We were aware it was on street parking, but not aware street was so narrow and parking would be so tricky. We had to park a distance from the property.
The rural location is lovely Some areas need updating particularly the bathroom which is below par. Lounge and beds are comfy . A few small touches e.g. pint of milk on arrival or a few bathroom products would have enhanced the stay No direct contact with owners so can’t comment on that
Enjoyed a great, 3 generational family weekend in this unique, characterful, spacious, well equipped and clean property. Brilliant for children from 3 up.
Great location ideal for getting round the cotswolds, finding a place to eat is hard due to restriction, the pub down the road that you advertise is shut down and should be removed from your web site, front door shuts but needs replacing as bowed bad at bottom when it rains it pools in and chairs in garden not safe for anyone to sit on accident waiting to happen apart from that great place to stay.
What a Beautiful Cottage in a very quiet lane. It was in an ideal position for us. The house and garden were lovely and dog friendly. If it's free we will be booking this property again. I have a few quick ideas to make it even more special. Connect the TV to an aerial socket to allow viewing of terrestrial TV rather than Netflix etc. Fit a shower screen or curtain in the en suite, repair the small hole in the plaster above the window seat in the lounge. These are very minor things and did not stop us enjoying the holiday. We all loved it.
A wonderful property, great location. Heating on arrival was 28 degrees, only discovered during hot night. Shower was too hot even on coldest setting. Master bedroom wardrobe needed cobwebbing & main light needed dusting. Lack of storage in bedrooms. Had a lovely weekend, shower was main issue needs addressing.
