I booked the Shepherd's Hut as a surprise for my partners 30th Birthday as I wanted to get away and relax and we were not disappointed! From the moment we turned up we were really impressed with how clean and well run the site was - Serena came to greet us and she was very friendly and helpful, advising us the best place to go for walks. The Hut itself was immaculate and there were so many nice touches from having robes to a welcome basket. The hot tub was lovely and secluded, so we had a great time just looking at he view and making friends with the horses in the field opposite. We wou...more
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Leat over the Christmas break. The apartment looked lovely when we arrived on Xmas Eve. A beautiful wreath hung on the front door, stockings (with chocolates!) hung from the beams in the lounge and there was even a bottle of champagne in the kitchen for us. The apartment was very clean and well equipped and Vanessa had put in some extra cutlery and chairs as she knew we were seeing family during our stay. There were excellent dog walks from the front door, and Vanessa had left us details of where to go. A wonderful place to be .... we really enjoyed it.
great time in Beehive Cottage - thank you. Despite the awful weather of endless rain, my husband and I, my daughter and 3 grandchildren all had a great time visiting local places, Cotswolds Wild Life Park, antique shops, Sudley Castle and the Hollow Bottom pub for lunch, Chedworth roman villa and then lunch in Burford. so a thoroughly good time. The children really enjoyed the easy access to the municipal playground just 1 step away from the cottage: great selling point. Only hiccup we had was we couldnt get the TV to work easily and then only 6 channels. Netflix didnt want to come t...more
We stayed as a family of three (two adults and a five year-old) at West Barn Cottage for eight nights over Christmas 2019. The cottage was absolutely perfect for our needs: it was clean, spacious, well-appointed, comfortable, and warm. The cottage has a well-equipped kitchen, great for people who enjoy the cooking part of self-catering! It's also extremely well-located, just off the A40 and thus a convenient short drive to/from Charlton Kings and Cheltenham. We chose it because we have family in the area and wanted a base from which to see them over the holiday period. The cottage was so perfe...more
Stepping Stones provides a perfect location from which to explore the Cotswolds. It is within easy driving distance to nearby villages, Blenheim, and Stratford-upon-Avon. The cottage itself is clean and comfortable with a beautiful patio area and backyard brook.
We recently enjoyed a fabulous family get together at Barebones. Everyone had a great time from the dogs, who enjoyed the walks, the grandchildren who loved dressing up, the parents who loved entertaining, and the rest of us who simply relaxed. Ample room for everyone to find their own space. Oh the unexpected guest ! You might be lucky enough to spot him in the beautiful gardens. He regularly dropped in while we were there. The white squirrel !
A lovely, well equipped and extremely comfortable cottage. The most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Great location for exploring with The wonderful Fleece Inn a few paces away. Very generous Welcome boxes and a lovely bottle of Champagne sent to us for New Years Eve. Adam was great to communicate with and very helpful. Only downside would be there isn’t any Netflix as advertised. Would definitely return.
Really comfortable accommodation and well equipped. Very pretty garden, pity about the rain. Perfect for family staying over for a party.
The cottage is beautiful and we had a fantastic stay. There was ample space to host our group, and it's lovely that you can wander to the pub next door for dinner. Great communication from the owners. I would recommend this place as a great house to rent for a group of friends and family.
Teagles cottage is truly a home away from home. We enjoyed our stay with family; cottage is clean, comfortable and provides all facilities. Location is fantastic, walking distance from shops, restaurants, pubs, tea rooms in Stow. Served as an ideal base for our visits in the Cotswolds region, with most of the main destination within short driving distance.
Lovely modern house in typical Cotswold stone, in a really beautiful Cotswold village, Northleach. Beautifully presented, great condition, all modern comforts, good kitchen and warm. Bedrooms beautifully appointed with lovely linen and modern bathrooms. Enclosed grassed back garden - two parking spaces and also visitor parking. Easy Walking distance to village centre (even with a 4 year old and baby in pram). Fields with sheep and open countryside at the end of the street. Lovely village with church, grocery store, pharmacy, cafe, pubs - one of which has award winning food. The Wheatsheaf Inn...more
The cottage is in a fantastic location in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water but tucked away so still quiet. It’s very well equipped and clean. The cottage is a little small but this makes it a cosy place to stay. We’ll definitely be back.
We had a wonderful long weekend at this cosy bolthole. Impressions on arrival were great - warm, perfectly clean, just like the photos. Decor and furnishings all good quality with comfy beds, nice towels etc. The location of the cottage was perfect for us with a toddler - right over the road to the playground (which we had to ourselves both times) and only 15 minutes from the Cotswold Wildlife Park. The snug living room was perfect for evenings in and I imagine the garden would have been gorgeous if we were there in the summer. Really great value property and we would definitely recommend ...more
We enjoyed a 4 day break in Quail House. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are beautifully decorated. There was a lovely welcome gift on arrival, and basics such as tea, coffee and milk were provided, which after a long drive was much appreciated. The location is brilliant. A lovely, quiet and beautiful village, but only a short drive from places such as Blenheim and Oxford. The owners were lovely and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. We would definitely return, and we were gutted to have to leave, we could easily have stayed for a longer perio...more
Beautiful house that had everything we needed and some more. Location was excellent. Perfect for a weekend away with a group in the Cotswolds
The cottage is beautifully decorated with antique furniture and art and it also looks fresh and clean. It was a lovely touch to have some breakfast items supplied so we didn't need to rush out in the morning. The garden is very pretty and a nice spot to sit.
This is the second time the family have congregated at Kingfisher Cottage an ideal location for exploring the Cotswolds. The facilities are first class and the propert is highly recommended
Amazing house in a lovely setting. Bedrooms in the house large and very comfortable. Hot tub good fun! Loads of space for a big group
Excellent cottage very well done has everything you need for your stay. 5 star place had a Xmas tree when we arrived very nice touch would of liked to stay longer.
We went as a large group of friends and fell in love with the house. It exceeded all expectations and definitely felt 5 star worthy. Beautiful decor and setting and immaculately clean. Perfect winter weekend away.
We absolutely loved our stay at Maisey Cottage - we stayed for a long week Mr while attending w wedding in a neighbouring village. We would definitely recommend the cottage it was impeccably clean and owner was super friendly and helpful! We will definitely be coming back!
Lovely cottage in a beautiful area. Amazing hot tub. Lovely pubs in the area, recommend the crown. Close distance to bath city centre. The hosts provided great customer service.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage, it was lovely and warm with luxurious fittings. Beds were super comfy. The Christmas decorations were joyful. Would absolutely recommend staying here. Only downside was check in time of 4 but that can’t be helped. Would have loved more days. Thanks
Our extended family booked a number of Sudeley Castle Cotswolds cottages including the Almsbury Farmhouse through Bolthole and had an amazing time. It was fantastic having so many bedrooms with bathrooms so each family didn’t have to share. It wasn’t inexpensive but we were there for Christmas week. They had Christmas trees up and left us mince pies and Prosecco as well as starter tea and coffee which was much appreciated. We would love to come back,
Church Cottage is a fabulous retreat. In a great location with access to all the pubs, cafes and shops. A quiet place to sleep, rest and enjoy the surroundings. Tastefully put together and everything you need to cook, a home away from home. Great attention to detail.
Extremely friendly and helpful host! Really nice and tastfully decorated cottage, very clean and family friendly!
I would definitely recommend Swallows Rest Cottage! I had an amazing time there with my family. They gave us great recommendations of where to eat and go.
We really enjoyed our stay at College Farm Cottage. Could do with a few extra bits in the kitchen like a grill pan handle and kitchen tongs. It was nice and central for the pretty towns and villages we visited and some great walks too. Would stay again.
Great location in a picturesque setting among similar cottages on the Sudeley estate. There is plenty of parking and the complex is easy to find The booking process was straightforward and I was sent a comprehensive package detailing the cottage facilities with the castle and local area history, showing places of interest and local walks. The cottage itself was spotless and well equipped. One thing that did let it down was that the sofa was pretty badly stained. We had a lovely time and the free entry into the Castle was a great bonus. We would definitely stay at these cottages again. T...more
Everything is provided for a relaxing break. A couple of minor issues were fixed very quickly. The George III is ideal for 2 adults but, in my opinion, would be a little snug for 4, with one shower room/toilet and one wardrobe only. The beds were possibly the most comfortable we have ever used. An ideal location for exploring the Cotswolds. One criticism. The rear of the apartment is overlooked by other apartments yet the window in the shower room/toilet has clear glass. On several occasions we felt compelled to pull the blind. Frosting the window would be an easy solution.
A very comfortable cottage for two people , plus dog. Free entry to Sudeley Castle appreciated. Room for improvement through : .An acknowledgement of final payment would have been nice, . Review additional charges as feel a charge for cleaning and a charge for a dog is excessive, .not replacing carbon monoxide monitor before expiry date meant a disturbed nights sleep when battery alarm went off. Batteries in torch were also too low.
We all enjoyed the design of the Gatehouse and its ambience, but the linens/pillows need replacing. Heater in the bathroom gave off gassy smell and hot water was hard to come by. I'd still recommend it for the location and architecture but not for the comfort.
A good conversion of a little barn with thick walls and lots of character. Very close to 417Flyup Mountain Bike Park. Was aware of the A417 quite close. Great to have lots of little logs for the woodburner. View from the velux over the valley below is lovely. We didn't use the garden but it looked good and in keeping with the rest of the charming property.
We have been to this cottage several times. We always find it very comfortable and warm. The location is excellent just down from the village and across the fields to the castle. Good showers. Nice towels. Nespresso machine. Good size fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Induction hob takes a bit of working out. Winchcombe is a lovely village.
We stayed in South Winds for 3 nights in December and were very comfortable and warm. The kitchen area is fantastic and well equipped. It is conveniently located without being in an area that is too busy and crowded. My only small criticism was that the meet and greet service were unable to meet and greet us!
The cottage is very comfortable, well-equipped cottage and very spacious. It is perfect for multi-day stays.
Had a wonderful week in Westerleigh cottage. Modern, with a high level of finishin and lots of authentic details. We missed a possibility to dry laundry outside.
Lovely cottage, extremely well located just off the High Street in Broadway. Comfortable and well equipped. Really lovely walks around Broadway and great pubs and shops only minutes away. Very pleasant short break!
Four of us stayed for 2 nights, great location for Sudeley Castle, Cottage homely, clean and in excellent condition Kitchen is very well equipped everything you would need for a few days stay Another plus is High Street is just 5 minutes walk
We found this cottage extremely difficult to locate and very few of the locals, who were very friendly, were unable to help. Once found, it reminded me of Port Meirion back home, a little piece of heaven on earth. It is a beautiful place but St Kenelm's is NOT suitable for anyone with a disability. There were 2 flights of stairs before getting into the flat which was a killer and we had to struggle to get my dialysis machine up. However, this did NOT deter my enjoyment of the short break. There are no grab rails in the bathroom which again is difficult for some. Also, be aware that it is...more
We spent a week in lady Jane Grey cottage after Christmas. To our pleasant surprise there was a Christmas tree in our livingroom. Which we thought was a really nice touch. We enjoyed lots of walks in the beautiful area. Visited the Christmas lights trail at Blenheim palace. And had several wonderful meals in the local restaurants of Winchcombe. The cottage is very comfortable and had all we needed for a week.
Beautiful cottage, we didn’t want to leave. Will be back! Not very often you can comfortably fit x6 adults in a house and still have space. Beyond cosy in the winter.
Cyder Press Farm allowed us to have a great Christmas with friends. The location is great and the house and barn was very comfortable. We would have expected some sort of contact ensuring the stay was going well considering the amount which was required.
As usual, we really enjoyed our stay at the Lord High Admiral for Christmas. A really nice touch was the bottle of Prosecco! However, what has happened to the dishwasher? Surely more people would appreciate a dishwasher whilst on holiday, than a washing machine! Especially at Christmas! Other than that, the usual high standard.
We stayed at Horseshoe Cottage for a long weekend as a family party of 8 to celebrate our daughter's 30th birthday. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable and the kitchen was very user-friendly. Although situated on the main road, parking was easy in the lane adjacent to the property and traffic noise was minimal at night. It was lovely to have such wonderful walking country in the surrounding area and yet still be within very easy reach of Moreton-in-Marsh and its facilities. All in all, a very welcoming place to stay.
We had the most warm welcome by a wonderful lady that could not have made us feel anymore at home. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable and was immaculately presented. I would highly recommend this location and group of cottages.
I thought it was lovely and cosy and an ideal place to stay for Christmas - the tree was a nice touch. 1 allocated parking space for each cottage would be an idea so guests from other cottages don't park in your space. I dustpan and brush/broom would be useful - you have the space under the stairs. Otherwise lovely. Thank you Mike
Excellent location. Beautiful cottage with all you need. Great pub in the village. Fantastic walk to Bibury to blow the cobwebs away! Would definitely recommend:
Very nice well equipped clean cottage. Would have no hesitation recommending to others. The only negative during our stay was the failure of the plumber to turn up to fix the radiator in the double bedroom. Very cold!!
A superb cottage in an dream loctrion in a heavenly town. Only problem was the uncountable cobwebs and spiderwebs all around the exteriors of the cottages at all levels. Am sure something can be done about it. But having said that a definite must visit and must stay. Had a memorable time with my family. Cheers
Stunning space, beautifully decorates and so homely. Amazing huge cooking and eating space and rooms for large family or friends or kids to expand into. A little hard to find - better signage would help when arriving in the dark. But that was our only complaint - it’s a lush house. Great customer service from Adam.
Very good area for walking, and superb views, good pubs and cafes around the area. Winchcombe is a charming town. The accommodation was as stated above very clean, and a good location, however the creaking floorboards were really really bad if you moved in the night everyone knew about it, the shower which was very good just needed a bit of maintenance and the accommodation was generally a bit spartan. We have stayed in a number of cottages and this was the first one without a welcome pack, there was one small bottle of milk, a few odd teabags and a bit of coffee not even cleaning products to ...more
This lovely stone cottage is large and ideal for 8 people on a self catering basis. It is comfortably appointed, warm and roomy. The Picture box small village setting is quaint and I guess typically Cotswold in character. Great for a quiet family based break with some picturesque walking/strolling nearby. The secure garden is ideal for a couple of small dogs if you are looking to take your canine family members with you.
Great cosy cottage. 3 generations of family stayed and we all enjoyed the cottage. A good location for exploring this part of the cotswolds
We thoroughly enjoyed our week in tetbury lovely house in a great location for all we wanted to do. We had a couple of niggles the tap in the top bathroom was dripping sow was very hard to turn off. The TV in first floor bedroom had no reception. Also not much room to store any food in the Kitchen all cupboards were full. Best wishes Diane Thompson
we stayed at Milliner's Barn for 3 nights in September 2019. we were welcomed by the owner on arrival. The barn was very cosy with an Aga warming the kitchen all the time. The facilities were very good and very comfortable beds. Lovely walks nearby but unfortunately the weather wasn't very good.. Some areas looked a bit tired and could do with updating eg kitchen cupboards under the sink has a bit of water damage, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying next year.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights. The eggs, cake and wine were much appreciated. A beautiful home. All went very well and I even found the 7th bedroom!!! Very comfortable, clean and nothing missing. Great to have the pub across the road. A roll of kitchen paper would have been useful....
We enjoyed our stay but found a shortage of large mirrows and plugs for the bedside lights.Hope this feed back will make it better for other opeople .
