We booked three cottages together to accommodate our family for a wedding, which worked really well. Not too far to the wedding venue so very convenient. Lovely location with stunning views. Spacious accommodation.

Attending wedding of niece at Norton Grounds needed a olsce for extended North East family to stay.
Great place only 3 miles from venue, roomy, clean, comfortable with all facilities as listed.
No problems ay all.

We were really disappointed with the overall level of cleanliness in the house. Floors and surfaces were fine but there were cobwebs everywhere and dust and dirt in all corners and ceilings.
The house is nice but could really do with updating or even just some love, everything is very basic which is a shame considering the price. Even the toys outside for the children were and full of cobwebs.

Really enjoyed our stay - there's tones of social space, big outdoor area and pub just around the corner. We went as a group of 8 girls and it was perfect for us - we're even thinking about booking again for next year.

I would say there are 3 things that could be improved. 1. Nowhere near enough toilet paper provided. 2. Could do with a deep clean - I know you're in the countryside so insects will get in, but need to clear away thing like cobwebs better. 3. General facilities could be updated: knives, shower, fridge etc.

Such a lovely cottage, with a wonderful garden the children loved, and Bridget was very helpful and responsive. The beds were comfy and the house was even nicer than the pictures (more carpeted than I'd realised). The garden was fenced so the children played freely with the lovely Wendy House, footballs and goal provided, while the adults relaxed! Bliss! Very peaceful area, beautiful, lots of animals nearby, and a great children's play park (which we had to ourselves).

Kitchen was lovely, and surrounding area was gorgeous. Not a far drive from neighbouring, bigger villages. Cant fault the cottage and experience apart from the cleanliness, there were cobwebs and spiders everywhere and the barbecue looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. The value for money was fantastic considering the location though. Overall a nice stay.

The property was very clean and located in pleasant village with big garden and good views.
The quality of the contents was more for a B&B rather than a £800 for two night property. Curtains made in light material and ill fitting meant bad sleep.
The booking via Bolthole confirmation said checkout at 11am but on the notice in the kitchen was 10am.
Two cleaners turned up wanting to start well before our contracted check out time and when we asked them to come back later, they argued we were wrong - slightly irritated given the actual contract was with Bolthole who’s terms override anything else.
We had medically trained professional people amongst us and fully understand the importance of cleaning between lettings. However, an eye watering additional charge of £145 for a ‘covid’ clean was made and given covid is killed by soap or mild bleach seemed definitely excessive. Noting we employ cleaners ourselves and let property too, so we do know about the costs of contracting this type of work. However, I mention as these reviews are for future persons considering a booking
I probably would not have bothered with a review normally as the place was quite nice but given cleaners’ tone when asking to come back later and then arguing, I did.

Lovely converted property. Well resourced for family with secure garden for small children to play. Needed far more towels for a 6 person stay so take your own.

Our 4-generation family enjoyed our stay in Field House Cottage. The Field House's large yard, pastoral setting, and the ever-present sounds of the sheep and the birds were wonderfully peaceful. Our 4-year-old grandson loved playing in the grass and was grateful for all the toys. The house was comfortable, and the large kitchen was great. The location was ideal too, and we enjoyed walks in the small village.

Comfortable in general but for people of normal weight, we found the beds were rather too hard and left us feeling a little bruised and stiff. The upstairs bathroom was good except that the power of the shower was quite low and squirted in all directions. The downstairs shower was good but the basin was almost unusable being so small. I had to wash in the kitchen sink. Despite the unseasonal weather and points listed above, we enjoyed our stay. The location was lovely and conveniently situated.

Field House Cottage is an ideal holiday home for families wanting to enjoy the quite life of the Cotswolds. The house is full of character, spacious and extremely comfortable; and the garden provides plenty of space for children to play and adults to relax.We have rented many holiday homes over the past twenty five years or so and this one is definitely in the top two or three.
