A beautiful 4 bedroom villa situated close to the Regency Hotel. The villa offers stunning views over Kalkan Bay and Kalkan's village centre is an approximate 8 minute walk away.

Please note: The owners do not accept children below the age of 12 at this property.

We were delighted to spend 11 nights at Villa Amethyst. It really is every bit as good as the photos show on the Olive Tree Travel website. The villa was exceptionally clean and recently re decorated. The private pool is excellent with plenty of room for the 8 sun beds and a lovely view across the bay. The bedrooms and and en-suite bathrooms are all a very good size and the outside seating area on the top floor was an added bonus and just perfect for Sundowner drinks before heading into town. The walk to town is a gentle stroll, mainly flat and takes around 10-12 minutes. This was our 3rd visit to Kalkan and by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We would highly recommend it and definitely hope to return to Villa Amethyst.

Villa Amethyst is a real gem. On the ground floor a well equipped kitchen and lounge area, a lovely terrace with sun beds, a shaded area for when the sun gets too much, and dining table and chairs both inside and out. The bedrooms are spacious, each with en-suite and balcony, including a superb master and, off the top floor bedroom, a rooftop terrace with a sofa, dining table and chairs and a mini kitchen with fridge. The location is excellent, a 15 minute stroll into town, on a flat road (mainly flat, this is Kalkan after all) and in a quiet area, with a couple of bars a short stroll away, and with a Migros supermarket less than 5 minutes walk. We couldn’t fault the Villa, or the service we received from the local representative and staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Amethyst villa. Its in a great location, slightly tucked away from the main hustle and bustle but also within easy walking distance to town. There is a Migros super market about 3 minutes walk away which was very hand for going to stock up on drinks, snacks etc.
The villa is right by the majestic Regency Hotel in Kalkan where we enjoyed going to for a pre dinner cocktail most evenings- as 'neighbours' they even offered us 10% off the bill every time which was such a lovely addition.
The villas rooms are bright, airy and expansive and its so lovely that each room has a balcony to enjoy the view from. We loved the roof terrace which wasn't featured in the photos ( no idea why as its stunning!) and would always start our evenings with some drinks up there admiring the breathtaking views and beautiful landscape. Samet the house keeper was so helpful with any small issue that we did have and made sure everything was in working order straight away. Thank you Olive Tree and Amethyst villa for such a fantastic holiday.

Mould in the middle floor bathroom shower and it leaks all over the floor. Torn curtains in the middle floor bathroom. Hole in the middle floor bathroom ceiling with paper shoved in it to fill it.
Massive beds but non of the bed linen fits properly.
Washed out and tatty , faded and stained cushions for the sun beds and the beach towels were well past their best.
So the term ‘luxury’ is not achieved when the detail is anything but.
Not difficult to put right, shame it wasn’t.

Following on from this review (written in May 2018), the property is now under new ownership and many improvements have been made to the villa (including replacement bed linen + beach towels and new mattresses for the sun-loungers. Please look at more recent reviews for an up-to-date overview on Villa Amethyst.

We all loved Villa Amethyst. Fantastic views and easy gentle walk to and from town. We loved its location with its proximity to local bars, restaurants and shops. The holiday was made even better this year by the amazing exchange rate. Can't wait to return.

Lovely light airy villa in a great location with fantastic views. Well kept and well equipped . Serviced regularly by cleaners , Gardner and pool man . Would certainly book it again!

Great week despite delayed flight arrival. We knew the villa from before and loved the location and easy access to Kalkan town centre and it's shops and roof top restaurants.
