We had a most wonderful stay at Heritage Mew thanks to the hospitality of its owners. The house was spotlessly clean and homely. The kitchen served all our needs as it was very well equipped. We particularly appreciated the little garden and the peaceful surroundings. Therefore we would highly recommend staying in Heritage Mews to anyone who wants to visit Stratford-upon-Avon e. g. for a theater performance of the RSC as all the theatres are in walking distance from the house.

It’s the second visit we have made and the accommodation is superb. There is everything you could possibly need and more besides! Everything is of a very high quality. Quiet location quite near to Trinity church where Shakespeare’s grave is. Pleasant walk into Stratford by streets or the river. Easy walk on the flat. Nice pub, Dirty Duck, nearby. Free parking to rear of the property. Really appreciated the lovely welcome pack with personal note from the owners. Our favourite wine, biscuits, milk and chocolate. Really grateful that both times we have been allowed in early. Excellent communication with friendly owners. Looking forward to staying again next year.

A small house in a residential area Heritage Mews is walking distance from the busy town of Stratford on Avon, ideally located for theatregoers. Scrupulously clean the rooms are small and the kitchen is not for cooking in, but everything necessary is provided.

Heritage Mews is a lovely property, in an amazing location with great facilities. Great communication from Kirsten and Sarah before our stay and on the day of our arrival. After our 3 hour journey to the cottage turned into 7 hours due to traffic we were so thankful to arrive at the property which is like a home from home, so comfortable and with amazing added extras. We have never stayed at a self catering property that is so well equipped. We stayed here as my mum was attending a wedding at the church just around the corner but we will be returning! We have recommended this property to family and friends who want to visit the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a lovely few days in Stratford. Cottage was within walking distance of town. Everything n the cottage was of good quality.
The only thing that could improve would be a walk in shower as my husband couldn’t manage the shower over the bath.

Lovely comfortable property with good parking. No need to use the car as the tourist sites, shops and theatres all within easy walking distance. Garden an extra addition in the summer - we had coffee around the garden table and enjoyed a very peaceful morning

We had a lovely few days here celebrating a 60th birthday. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable, cosy stay with a lovely tray of treats waiting for us on arrival. Accommodation is ideally situated for an easy walk into the town centre with all its attractions, the theatre and plenty of places to eat, or to take a leisurely stroll along the river. Lovely little courtyard garden to sit out in (if only weather had allowed!)

We had another fantastic girls’ weekend at the Mews! We were made extremely welcome with a very generous selection of Christmas chocolates! The pesky elves ate them all! We could not fault the cleanliness and comfort of the mews and the location is perfect for walking into Stratford. Can’t wait to return to our home from home!

Our criteria for choosing a weekend place were proximity to Stratford and off road parking at a reasonable price. Heritage Mews certainly met our needs and surpassed our expectations. The hosts were extremely generous, leaving much appreciated welcome gifts and were immediately helpful when we had a query. The property itself was immaculately clean, and in spite of it only being the end of November we were amazed at how much effort had been put into decorating it for Christmas. The accommodation was ideal for us as we prefer separate rooms. Both beds were luxuriously comfortable, made up with crisply fresh linen, and the house was warm and cosy, with everything in the kitchen provided to enable the preparation of light meals or cook a full dinner. We were able to walk along the riverside into town, and could see that principal places of interest were very nearby, although we did not visit on this occasion as we already had plans to meet up with friends and family who live nearby. We would definitely choose to stay at Heritage Mews again, if available, in order to further explore this most attractive, interesting town.

Heritage Mews is a compact recent-build property just to the south of Stratford's 'Old Town' area. We found it very well presented, equipped, clean and comfortable for our stay. Communication with the owners was very good and it was nice to have a welcome spread and comprehensive information pack provided. The range and quality of equipment and supplies was also high, with nice touches everywhere.

It is a short walk to the banks of the Avon and a 10-15 minute walk into town, beside the river or by road. Stratford itself is a charming and vibrant town, punching above its weight due to the historical and Shakespeare connections, and has all the shops and amenities you might want. Easy to tour the area. Behind-the-scenes tour of the RSC theatre was very good, although I was left a bit cold by their production of Macbeth. Still, it was a good experience!

All in all a perfect place for a stay! Good location, excellent accomodation, interesting and attractive area. Our thanks to and commendation for the owners on their provision of this property.

This is by far the best self catering property we have ever stayed in. Top class appliances,bedding and equipment. Karen and Sarah delighted us with a welcome tray, chocolate, wine, biscuits, milk in the fridge and a lovely welcome note. They allowed us to enter the property early which was great. We really enjoyed the private courtyard garden
The house is very near to the church where Shakespeare is buried. Parking is great and there is an easy riverside or road into town. There is a great pub nearby for drinks or meals. The Dirty Duck. The hop on bus is a street away. A perfect place to stay in Stratford. We hope to return. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We found this cottage over a decade ago and have returned many times. The cottage is always very clean, cosy and well equipped. The location is quiet and just a gentle stroll into the town. A great base to tour the northern Cotswolds and beyond.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the theatre and Sunday afternoon tea in the RSC Riverside restaurant.
The fact we are looking forward to another visit in 2024 says everything about our positive review.

From the booking process to the arrival information and then the wealth of information about the mews and the area, it was all so clear and straightforward. Just back from a Monday to Friday stay at Heritage Mews and I can honestly say it’s one of the best holiday homes we’ve had . Sarah and Kirsten have thought of everything and the place was absolutely spotless . Loads of information about the surrounding area and the house itself , nothing worse than not knowing what to do with the bins . I would have no hesitation in recommending Heritage Mews , the location is great , about a 5-10 minute walk into town and having off road parking in Stratford is a real bonus . As the title says , a fantastic place to stay !

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Heritage Mews.

Communication throughout the booking process and before our arrival was excellent.

When we arrived everything was spotlessly clean, the house was lovely and had everything that you could need along with some welcome treats from the owners

It was lovely to be able to sit out in the sunny garden.

The house is in a fantastic location about a 10 minute flat walk along the river from the town centre.

We would throughly recommend Heritage Mews and we will certainly be returning for another stay.

This is a beautiful cottage in the perfect location, just a few minutes walk to the town centre and along the river bank to the Royal Shakespeare theatres. It is clean, peaceful and the facilities are good. Chairs and beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed the courtyard garden surrounded by flowers and plants. There are 2 dedicated parking spaces. Kirsten and Sarah are excellent hosts and we felt welcomed into their cottage. They responded immediately to a telephone query as we were booking and provided contact details if needed during our stay.

The accommodation was perfectly located for the town with the added bonus of two allocated parking spaces. Communication with the owners was excellent especially as due to unforeseen circumstances we had to delay our arrival by two days. We had expected that our break would have been shorter than anticipated but Kirsten and Sarah offered us an extra day as no guests were expected until the day after our booked departure date. Lovely comfortable house with just enough room for three without feeling cramped. Very cosy and very well equipped. Garden a real bonus and parking easy. Walk into town about a mile to far end and attractions but easy along river but takes about 20 minutes. Also easy to walk into countryside. Close to races and bike hire. Nothing to complain about at all! We loved our stay and will be back.

One of the reasons we booked Heritage Mews was because of the on-site parking, which proved a real bonus as the accommodation was well placed for us to walk into the centre of Stratford. It was something we did every evening as we tried out some of the many restaurants to be found there. We were delighted by the level of comfort we found at Heritage Mews and would like to congratulate the owners for providing everything to make our stay really enjoyable. Heritage Mews is a clean, well-maintained property with plenty of room and a very pleasant outside space. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, linens, towels and toiletries are of high quality, and much thought has gone into all the decorations, books, magazines and the comprehensive guide provided to both the property and the area. A 5 minute walk into town or the river; easy access to the other side of the river via a short walk to the footbridge. We couldn't fault it and would definitely stay again.

We have just had a four day visit to Stratford Upon Avon . We chose Heritage Mews based on its proximity to the town, the availability of off road parking and the excellent previous reviews. The property was very well presented and had some nice little extras awaiting our arrival. Their communication with the owners was excellent both prior to our visit and whilst we were there. The location of the property was perfect for a short stroll into the town or to use as a base whilst exploring the surrounding area by car. We were very happy with this property and would use again if visiting this area.

We love staying in this cottage, its so cosy and the kitchen is the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in.
Close enough to walk into Stratford but in a lovely quiet area.
We come away feeling totally relaxed and are looking forward to coming back in the summer when we can sit out in the lovely garden.

We have stayed many times at Heritage Mews and after a lockdown gap stayed twice in 2022.

The cottage is in a quiet location with a short walk to the river one way and the other way a short walk to the town with the RSC theatre, Shakespeare properties, good restaurants and shops etc.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and spotless, with every household appliance you could possibly need. It is a real home from home and we really look forward to staying there each year. We have already booked for later this year!

Thank you to the new owners of Heritage Mews, Kirsten and Sarah, who have maintained the high standard set by the previous owners.

Ten/fifteen minute easy walking to RSC, along with private parking, underpin any review of this small modern mews house. The property is ideal for a couple (three at a pinch) and has everything needed for a short stay. It would be hard to think of anything missing for a comfortable visit. The owners have gone out of their way to ensure a perfect rental.
The RSC has to be the real magnet for a visit to Stratford but this property is so well placed that walks around the town become an obvious "must do".
This property will be at the top of any list when planning a future visit. Utterly delightful!

We returned to heritage Mews for the second time this year...that says it all! We were bowled over by the quality of the property and the fantastic communication with the owners when we first stayed back in Feb 22, and were not disappointed on our return. This is the best equipped property we've stayed in, and we've stayed in a lot. We can stroll into Stratford centre or down to the Avon in minutes. Anyone booking from the info provided on the website will not be disappointed. Our highest recommendation!

My husband and I stayed at heritage mews for the last week in August.
A beautiful, cosy home from home .the house was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
It's only a very shot walk into the centre of town which is beautiful, lots to see and do and not just shakespear related..
We will recommend this property and would definitely return again.

There is no question, stay.

This is a gem of a property, over the other side of town from where we had always stayed previously. It was so quiet and peaceful.

The house is well stocked with everything you may need for a relaxing holiday. We were there during the record breaking heatwave, and the Dyson fans were put to good use.
The kitchen is well stocked, and to a very high quality. The Lounge area is a good size and comfortably laid out, with Patio doors leading to the small, simple, but beautiful garden area.
The Bathroom has a Bath with a good quality Shower that runs off the Hot Water, so we never had any issues with Hot Water demand. The bedroom has enough storage space and a comfortable Bed. All of the bed linen and towels are of very high quality, which does make a difference.
You are about 10 minutes walk from the centre of the town, so very convenient for everything you may need.
There is a bridge over the river nearby, so you can cross over and walk through the gardens opposite the theatre if you want a relaxing walk away from the main crowds.
Our hosts, Kirsten and Sarah, were available to contact at any time if required, but we didn't need to, as everything was perfect.
They have the most comprehensive and detailed guest handbook I have seen in the many properties I have stayed in. Everything you need to know about everything in the property is there.
We will almost certainly be back.

We recently stayed at Heritage Mews for 3 weeks. The owners, Sarah and Kirsten were welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is in a quiet part of Stratford away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but close enough to have a pleasant walk into the centre. The garden is a real bonus. As we live in a big city, we welcomed the peacefulness and ability to hear the bird song.

A warm inviting town house close to the town centre. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay. It was a pleasure to park the car in the space provided and walk the short distance to the river via the local church.
A good selection of shops to get provisions and plenty of tourist spot for the history buffs.
Other towns were a short bus ride away.
Sarah and Kirsten communicated with us at every stage pdf the booking.

Our stay at Heritage Mews could not have been any better. The attention to detail show that the owners care a lot about your stay:

it was all spotlessley clean; a very well equipped kitchen, a comfy sitting/dining room; a delightful courtyard garden full of plants and flowers and private off road car parking; There was a selection of tasty goodies, tea and coffee in the cupboard and milk in the fridge.

The location to the centre of Stratford is perfect. Either follow the river past the RSC theatre or wander through the really old buildings to the shops, pubs, takeaways and restaurants. We do plan on staying again as there is so much to do in the area.

We have stayed many times at Heritage Mews and after a lockdown gap we returned in April 2022.

The facilities and comfort at the cottage were excellent as always and we would thoroughly recommend staying there.

The location is great - near to many restaurants, shops, the RSC theatre, river walks and easy access to the Cotswolds etc.

The owners seem to have thought of everything in the cottage you could possibly need and a nice touch was a welcome tray.

We are already planning to return later this year - say no more!

Heritage Mews is of the highest quality. The attention to detail that Sarah & Kirsten have put into presenting the property is extraordinary. All rooms are fully equipped, and carefully furnished, down to small details, such as radios, books and tissues in the bedrooms. The kitchen, though small, is cleverly laid out and fully equipped (It passed our egg-cup test...we don't find them in so many lettings!). There is a small garden that, like the house has been so carefully planned and cultivated...a real gem, as is Heritage Mews!

My partner and I were between houses so stayed for 28 days. The location is quiet, with a five minute walk into town and to our favourite restaurant (The Woodsman). This property has been thoughtfully and stylishly presented. Everything you could possibly want is provided. We were extremely comfortable. The crisp white bed linen and the large quantity and generous sized towels were much appreciated. As regards cleanliness the words that spring to mind are pristine and immaculate, which is very reassuring in the current circumstances. It is in a lovely quite location and there is a small and well kept garden which would be lovely to sit out in. Anytime we visit Stratford we would chose to stay here.

We were met outside by the owners on arrival and they had cleaned and prepared the place with a welcome tray of tasty treats. Very well equipped and with operating instructions available, we felt at home immediately and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The small and neatly kept garden was a joy to relax in after our many walks along a variety of picturesque footpaths to the centre of town. This is a wonderfully quiet location set close to an abundance of historic sites, good restaurants and shops; all reached by foot. On our list for a return visit in the future.

Heritage Mews is situated a ten minute walk from the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon - a delightful walk either through the ancient streets or along the riverside past the RSC theatre. Just 10 minutes from breakfast at Carluccio's - or any one of the enormous number of restaurants in the centre.
The accommodation is pretty much perfect. Private parking close by, a lovely courtyard garden (for if it stops raining) and enough space in the house for two (in our case) to live comfortably with every mod con you could need. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need as is the rest of the house.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week and would certainly recommend Heritage Mews and would stay there again.

The house was very clean, and comfortable and felt very safe. This was important because of the Covid-19 restrictions, and as the first place we had ventured out to since lockdown.
Sadly the weather was awful, but the house was warm and welcoming whenever we returned.
The position was very good, a brief walk into the centre of Stratford where we were able to buy the food we needed, and if you wanted to eat out there were plenty of places available.
We also had a couple of riverbank walks from the door which were pleasant and it was nice to have a change from the car.
The information provided was very up to date and useful, particularly as in the present circumstances we had to book to visit anywhere.
We hope to return and do the things we had planned that were not available some other time.

This is the second time we have stayed at Heritage Mews as we so enjoyed it last time! Again it did not disappoint!
Spotlessly clean and this time lots of extra COVID preventative measures in place! Great location near Stratford-Upon-Avon and within walking distance of restaurants, shops etc. Owners could not be more helpful - with really useful emails and info packs in the cottage.
I can thoroughly recommend it !

The perfect quiet spot for a short amble down the river into a Stratford upon Avon. This has to be one of the cleanest properties we’ve ever stayed in. Everything was excellent, from great quality bedding and a comfortable bed to all the necessary bits and pieces that we all have in our own houses, but miss when we are away On holiday. The owners sent us some handy information about eating establishments before we arrived, which really helped organise our weekend. There was still lots do see and do in Stratford upon Avon despite the current pandemic. I would highly recommend this news cottage and we will be visiting again soon.

What an excellent staycation as soon as it was possible to do so after the lockdown! Apart from the property being excellent in every way, all of the extra safety protocol that was in place left me feeling 100% confident in the cleanliness of the property. But let’s focus on the day by day impressions. The property is first class in every way - location, parking, furnishings, facilities, equipment and even art! The garden is a delight - why, even the front garden promises you’re entering a well looked after property before you open the front door! It was good to use the TV (a smart TV, so I could get my Netflix, my Amazon Prime and I-player). And how quiet and peaceful the area was - I slept so well with no disturbing traffic. It was simplicity itself to arrange a grocery delivery from Morrisons. A couple of takeaway deliveries when I wanted a rest from cooking - 33 The Scullery, excellent food, not the usual predictable takeaway menu. Add to all this - and I could go on! - the friendly, caring professionalism of Val and Simon. I wholeheartedly recommend Heritage Mews and hope to be there again ASAP.

The television in the cottage is a Sony Bravia Smart Full HD 1080p LED TV. It has built-in WiFi connected to the internet, a range of apps and smart functions with HDMI, SCART and USB ports so you can connect your devices to the TV. The internet connection was working fine before you arrived and after you left. Without knowing why you thought the TV was not smart, it is difficult to respond. We appreciate different televisions have varying functions and apps; we are sorry if ours did not meet your expectations. If you had a problem with the TV during your stay, you could have contacted us for help or mentioned it when we spoke to you when we came to water the garden pots. As we explained, we are on hand to help at any time. We are puzzled by your suggested improvement of a separate shower. As you could see, there is no space in the bathroom or in either bedroom to install a separate shower. We advertise Heritage Mews as having one bathroom with a shower over the bath. There is a description of the bathroom on our website “accommodation” page stating this, with a photo clearly showing the bath and shower fitted to the wall over the bath. If, as it seems, a separate shower is important to you, it is a shame you did not spot that or check with us before booking. When we fitted a new bathroom we decided a bath with a shower over the bath was the best option to suit most people. The only way of providing a walk-in shower would be to have no bath, which, in our view, would not be an improvement.

We were met at the cottage by the owners, Val and Simon with a lovely warm welcome. Val and Simon took the time to show us around the cottage giving us useful info not just about the cottage but also the area. Lovely welcome pack.
The cottage is very well thought out with little extra touches such as the DAB radios and alarm clocks. Nice smart tv, good internet.
The front and back garden looked full of colour even for Feb, and well looked after. Parking for two cars, nearest one being at the back of the property. Well equipped Kitchen everything you could want. Nice bathroom. Bedrooms have plenty of storage space for clothes etc, Slept well in the beds, the sofa and chairs in the living room are comfy with space for dinning table and chairs.
The Location of the cottage is ideal set on a quiet street, but only 5 minute walk away from the River Avon, and 10 minute walk away from the town centre, we didn't use the car while staying here, there's so much to see and do in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Lots of shops, Cafes etc. Lovely river walks, Park and gardens, lots of places to visit, William Shakespeare houses, butterfly farm, mad science museum, River trips from the canal ( which we did ) really good ( www.canalandrivertours.com ) Also went in the RSC. Sainsburys deliver to the cottage and we had the best fish and chips for a long time from Fizz and Fin Delivered to the cottage ( from just eat website ) The weather wasn't kind to us rained a lot, but didn't stop us going out and enjoying ourselves. We will come back sometime in the future and wouldn't hesitate to stay at the cottage again.

We have stayed in various types of holiday accommodation in Stratford upon Avon over many years and for the last ten years or so have stayed at Heritage Mews. There are lots of reasons for this.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and spotless. It is in a quiet location but only a 5 minute walk to the river, shops, RSC theatre, Shakespeare's church and the many good restaurants and shops in the town. The owners, Val and Simon, are very welcoming and think of everything. The cottage contains every household appliance you could possibly need and the gardens are very pretty, with seasonal plants, so even in winter there is something to admire. Thoroughly recommended.

Everything about the cottage could not have been better. From the warm welcome on arrival from the owners. The generous gift of wine and biscuits left out for us.
The cottage is immaculately clean and comfortable. Modern kitchen and bathroom, both of which look brand new.
They have thought of everything you could possibly need and more.
Lovely little garden at the back of the property with bistro table and chairs. Even at the end of October it had lots of colour.
Situated in a very quiet area and just a 15 minute stroll into town. What could be better.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay in Heritage Mews. On arrival we were greeted by Val and Simon who gave a clear instructions on everything relating to the house. It was all very clean and well presented and we were left a nice arrival gift of a bottle of wine and some delicious chocolate biscuits. We found it very straightforward to walk into the centre of Stratford and to pass by the RSC and the church where the Bard is buried.Parking behind the property was very convenient.

There was plenty of information provided on Stratford and on the various events taking place, restaurants, shops etc etc.Nice toiletries were in place in the bathroom and the towels and linen provided were of an excellent quality. All-in-all the house was well appointed and we really enjoyed our stay.

Heritage Mews is ideally positioned for a short stroll into Stratford or down to the river Avon. The house is immaculate and very comfortable... what a change to sit on furniture that is not leather! All the extras provided by Val and Simon were welcome even though we brought most of our own provisions one can never be sure what is provided. The gardens, albeit small are very pretty.

I have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation. It has 2 bedrooms making it perfect for 2 or 3 people.
The house is well located in a quiet area of Stratford. The River Avon is a 10min walk away; the RS Theatre is a 15min walk, the shops and town centre a 15/20min walk, and the various Shakespeare related venues are within walking distance, apart from the 2 farms which are a short drive away. The surrounding area has much to offer: beautiful countryside, lovely gardens, NT properties, picturesque villages, canal walks, etc. There are numerous restaurants and cafes in the town. We enjoyed an excellent evening meal at The Scullery in Greenhill Street.
The house is lovingly cared for by the owners, who have thought of everything an occupant might need. All fittings and equipment are of good quality and the whole presentation of the house is outstanding. The lounge has a patio door leading out to the delightful, sunny, well-designed garden, making this a very pleasant room to eat in or relax in. The garden itself is also a lovely place for taking time-out. Two parking spaces are provided, one next to the garden gate, and one a few metres away.
I would definitely choose to stay in this property if I return to Stratford. I think it would be comfortable, convenient and very pleasant whatever the weather or time of year.

We’d be delighted to see you again if you return to Stratford. Just to clarify Heritage Mews’ location – the cottage is close to Holy Trinity Church which is situated on the banks of the River Avon (about 350 metres, less than ¼ mile from the cottage) – a 4 to 5 minute walk. From here you can walk along the riverside footpath to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and town centre. The theatre is about 780 metres (less than ½ mile) – just under 10 minutes’ walk. If you walk from Heritage Mews into town along the streets, past Hall’s Croft in Old Town, the town centre, with restaurants and shops, starts in Church Street - 5 or 6 minutes’ walk. The actual centre of the town, Bridge Street, is about 1km (just over ½ a mile) – about 10 minutes’ walk. These timings are based on our and guests’ experiences, although in hot weather I’m sure we will all walk a bit slower :). In the town centre you can visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace and New Place (the site of Shakespeare’s last home), and Hall’s Croft (Shakespeare’s daughter’s home) in Old Town- all within walking distance. Anne Hathaway’s Cottage is in the nearby village of Shottery - 2.2 km (1.3 miles) from the cottage by road or you can walk, part of the way across fields - about 1 mile. Mary Arden’s Farm (a working ‘Tudor’ farm, where Shakespeare’s mother grew up) is in the village of Wilmcote – a 7km (4½ mile) drive. For keen walkers, you can walk along the canal tow path starting in the town centre. The City Sightseeing ‘Hop-on Hop-off’ bus tour (which operates from Easter / April to the first weekend in November) takes in all 5 Shakespeare Family Homes and is a fun and informative way to explore the town centre sights and nearby villages.

We had a lovely time at Heritage Mews. I was visiting with my mother and sister and we were very comfortable at the house. We were greeted by the owners who showed us what we needed to know before settling in. It was nice to receive a bottle of prosecco, biscuits and nibbles and some milk in the fridge. The cottage is well appointed, clean and the garden was a colourful delight. We enjoyed sitting out there. It was great to be able to walk into Stratford, being a stone's throw away from everything. The property is presented to a very high standard, in particular cleanliness. The owners are obviously very hands own including maintaining the garden to a very high standard.
Unfortunately in ensuring that the kitchen includes every item of equipment that may enquired, there is little or no space for groceries that are brought by the customer.
Overall the cottage is an excellent self catering holiday.

Thank you for your kind comments. We’re sorry you had a problem storing your groceries and thought our customer service wasn’t of the highest standard. We are unsure though what service you were expecting us to provide? We were at the cottage to welcome you when you arrived and explained everything you needed to know about the cottage. We let you know that we were on hand to help at any time and you could contact us using the free phone line from the house telephone if you had any queries. We also explained this in our pre-arrival email and in our ‘welcome’ card on the hospitality tray in the kitchen. Regarding space in the kitchen for groceries, we provide an empty shelf in a kitchen cupboard and, for a compact kitchen (which is how we advertise it), there is a good-sized fridge (with freezer) and plenty of worktop space too. It’s a shame you didn’t let us know at the time that you had a problem storing groceries, or mentioned it when we saw you when we watered the garden during your stay, as we would have happily come and moved / consolidated a few things to free up another cupboard shelf for you, or more worktop space. Also, after you had gone home, when we found an item of yours that you had left in the bedroom we sent you an email to let you know and posted it back to you straightaway.

A great house, spotlessly clean, beautiful patio garden. Equipped with everything you could possibly need, Indeed a home from home with top quality appliances etc. The owner was there to greet us when we arrived and left some little treats for us to enjoy. Our stay at Stratford-Upon-Avon couldn't have been better. The property had everything we could possibly need and was absolutely spotless! The beds were so comfortable too. We'd booked to see a performance at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and found Heritage Mews to be conveniently located for this - the walk next to the river took just 5 - 10 minutes. The owners were very helpful with my initial enquiry, and upon our arrival were there to greet us and make sure everything was ok. There's plenty to do in Stratford-Upon-Avon and surrounding areas. We had a fantastic time and wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend. (Thank you Val & Simon.)

This is an immaculate property and excellent for both comfort and its top quality equipment throughout the house and always with a hospitality tray and fresh flowers to greet visitors. The garden is secluded, very pretty and well maintained. Its location is ideal for the theatres, river and town. The owners are always very helpful and there to meet you on arrival. Our host at Heritage Mews attended to our reservation request speedily and efficiently and in addition provided lots of information about our prospective visit eg. parking availability etc
.A great deal of care has gone into this holiday home All equipment and linen is of a high quality..A personal handover of keys and the opportunity to meet the owner is always beneficial.The brief explanation of household information was really useful.
We were provided with a charming Easter themed welcome tray containing mini eggs/chocolate bunnies/cake and good quality sparkling wine and nibbles.Also fresh flowers all around the house too.These personal touches definitely added to our enjoyment of our stay and underlines the commitment the owner has to providing a quality experience for guests.The cottage has a very convenient parking space and is ideally located just a few minutes pleasant walk along the riverbank to town .The courtyard garden is delightful.Quiet,relaxing and extremely well maintained.A mixture of evergreens and colourful plants and good outside seating.
The welcome folder has an abundance of information and lots of tourist sight leaflets /maps for ease of access to tourist attractions..
This is most certainly a "Premier Cottage" and is well deserving of its Gold award and 5* rating.
We definitely hope to return in the future.

Genuinely never been to a cleaner cottage - absolutely immaculate. It's well equipped and comfortable too and has a nice enclosed garden you can sit out in. There's also a good car parking space, which is completely away from the road, just behind the garden. It's obviously smaller than the cottages you get out of town but the location more than makes up for this - it's an easy 10 minute stroll into town and yet in a quiet location. So all the main attractions and the RSC are in easy walking distance. Lots of lovely restaurants to eat at as well - we liked Salt (if you want to push the boat out), Lambs, 33 The Scullery and Four Teas (40's Tea Room) - not forgetting the restaurant at the RSC and the fabulous play we saw afterwards (Taming of the Shrew). Lots of good pubs to visit too.

We have stayed in various types of holiday accommodation in Stratford over many years and for the last 10 years we have stayed at Heritage Mews. There are lots of reasons for this.

The cottage is in a prime, quiet, location, 5 minutes walk to the river one way and 5 to 10 minutes the other way to the RSC theatre, Shakespeare's church and the town with many good restaurants and shops.

The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and spotless. The owners, Val and Simon, are very welcoming and the cottage contains every household appliance you could possibly need. The gardens, front and back, are very pretty with seasonal plants, so even in winter there is something to admire. It is a real home from home and we really look forward to staying there each year. Thoroughly recommended.

On our arrival we were welcomed by Val and Simon the owners of the property. We were very impressed by our welcome and immediately felt at ease. The house is spotless and well decorated and has a very cosy feel. Outside there is a beautiful courtyard garden with a table and chairs. It is in a very peaceful quiet location and has the added bonus of two car parking spaces.

The house is close to Trinity Church where Shakespeare is buried and is a short walk to the town centre and the theatres.

Heritage Mews is an excellent property in an excellent location.

My wife and I had a wonderful nine days in Heritage Mews. It's a very comfortable small house, within easy and quick walking distance into the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. The garden is a delight of colour and smells, and almost feels part of the lounge. It is also a suntrap for most of the day. The icing on the cake was the dedicated parking. It was also idly placed for day trips to Oxford, Worcester and Kenilworth Castle. Val and Simon were charming hosts, always ready to help. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, plan to return in the future (as many have done already) and can recommend this holiday let most enthusiastically

We had a most enjoyable stay at Heritage Mews. It's location, only a few minutes walk from both the river and the town centre, was ideal, allowing us to visit several of the very good restaurants without having to worry about parking or taxies.
The property itself is delightful and just right for a couple. Though quite small, it is beautifully fitted out to a high standard, and very clean and comfortable. The garden is a gem, and just the place for a quiet ten minutes after a busy day of sightseeing.
We cannot speak highly enough about the service provided by Val and Simon. Nothing was too much trouble. First rate!

We had 2 nights at Heritage Mews at the end of our travels. The weather was lovely so the great location really mattered as the special thing about our time in Strattford was just being able to walk the town such that we felt familiar with the streetscape of the old town and adjoining areas. This was the highlight of our visit - yes we saw a play at the RSC and visited Shakespeares's home, but the wandering about topped them all. We wished that we could have spent more time here.

On arrival we received a warm welcome from the owners Val and Simon. There was a very thoughtful touch of wine, biscuits and chocolates, plus a welcome card and fresh flowers in every room.
The house is immaculately maintained, very well equipped and spotlessly clean, at the same time being a real 'home from home'. The garden was very attractive, we were there during a very warm spell and able to sit out.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Heritage Mews. Val and Simon have included many thoughtful touches in this beautifully maintained and well-equipped cottage. The location and good parking arrangements make this an excellent base to explore Stratford and the surrounding area. The care of the property which the owners take personally is excellent and was really appreciated. We would love to come back again!

Heritage Mews is a lovingly cared for and spotlessly clean house in a great location with a short level walk into Stratford. Val and Simon provide everything you would need for a very comfortable stay. The garden made s a nice addition even when the snow came down and in freezing temperatures the house remained extremely warm and cosy. Extra treats left for us were an added bonus! We would highly recommend a stay here and hope to return ourselves in the future.

Lovely cottage kept in immaculate condition by the owners. A real home from home with everything you need, and all the sites and restaurants in easy walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
