Quiet location, beautiful village, ideal location for exploring the surrounding area. Local pub was very welcoming.

This cottage is very nice and the customer service is very good.
Only let down by the walk to and from your vehicle, fine for most but if you have difficulty in walking it's not.
Garden has some very steep steps and could do with a tidy up.
Only minor things as I would go there again.

Quirky old cottage set in lovely village location. Plenty of space if four of you staying. Huge main bedroom with smaller twin. Small living room, dinning area attached to the kitchen with additional seating area with toilet. Sun trap in the garden seating area if weather favourable. Good base for exploring the area including walks from the back gate. Parking can be a problem as narrow lane but plenty of space a few hundred yards away.

The cottage is in a super location, easy to move around Dorset from here. The village is lovely, nice local pub, farm shop, all within walking distance. Parking is tricky at best though, we parked at the very bottom of the road in the dead end, as there is literally nowhere to park in this village, there are way more residents cars than there are spaces available

The cottage itself is really nice, very comfortable bed, it has all the things you need for a comfortable stay. However, we found it lacking in a few areas to be honest.
Even though it's a country cottage, the general decor needs to be updated. The carpets are frayed at the edges, the kitchen and bathroom are both very dated both in fixtures & fittings, and decoration. Even had woodchip on the wall, that's how long it's been since it was refurbed There are cobwebs everywhere you look, you are never very far from a spider here, didn't bother us but it may be a problem to some people

We stay in a few cottages on holidays and short breaks, the standard is going up and up every year we find. Decor is modern, fixtures and fittings are better quality, welcome packs are improving, generally the service level is a lot higherv than it used to be just a few years ago. We felt this was furnished and kitted out as "It's just a holiday let, this will do", for example the crockery and cutlery looks straight out of a student let, very basic IKEA quality.

The welcome pack was basic to say the least, we are staying in one this coming weekend where there is milk, bread, eggs, orange juice, sparkling water and wine. Last year we had a similar quality one in a cottage in Sheringham, plus toiletries

So, we liked the cottage but honestly felt we were staying in a student let when everything was taken into account, in short; the decor and finish, fixtures/fittings, cobwebs, even the loo roll was single ply

Whilst Jurassic cottage is really nice, in a prime location, it is in danger of being left behind by other lets I'm afraid unless it has a rethink on a few fronts

Sorry to sound a bit like Alex Polizzi here, we enjoyed our stay here, but this place has so much potential to attract clients every day of the year if it upped it's game

Beautiful cottage with lots of potential, great location. The cottage just needs a deep clean, lots of cobwebs in the house, dog hairs on sofa / carpet and slugs in kitchen.

Stayed for a week, really enjoyed it. Surprisingly good location as it’s close to lots of places even though Portersham itself has nothing other than a pub (the Kings Arms) with attitude problems. Had no contact with the owners but didn’t need to. Only issue is parking which you can’t do outside the property. Absolutely fine for 3/4 people and having Netflix was a bonus.

Jurassic Cottage was a peaceful and cosy base for a short break, tucked away in a little back street. Wonderful to walk up the hill straight from the garden gate. Lots to do nearby plus pub and farm shop cafe in the village.
