Little Winters Cottage, a delightful detached converted barn, sleeping up to six guests, is situated in a glorious rural setting two miles from the coast at Lyme Regis.

Beautiful property with fantastic views.

We stayed in Little Winters Cottage for a week at the end of May. The property is wonderful, very clean with everything needed for a self catering stay. The narrow lanes around the area are a little daunting at first but it didn’t take long to get used to. A great base to visit Dorset and Devon. We had a fantastic week and would definitely book again.

We were 4 people in 3 bedrooms and spent the week over Christmas at Little Winters Cottage. We really loved it. The weather was very poor but the sitting area was so comfortable and we were able to look out over the valley and wait for the rain to stop. We visited 3 or 4 beaches and walked along them and parked fairly easily. The only draw back was that I had to park my car a short distance from the cottage and unpacking by myself for Christmas took ages. However, although I took a small tree it was not needed as a beautiful decorated tree awaited us. Jamie was very helpful when I wanted to find out about heating etc

Finding the cottage was a bit of a task - directions could be a bit better, emphasising that the lanes to the property are very narrow and steep - and parking could have been tricky for anyone who didn't like reversing! The cottage was lovely and light, airy and very clean. Would recommend a few more hooks in the bedrooms, and also a handrail in the main bathroom as getting out of the bath was rather precarious - especially for older folk (as we were!). Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Garden was a little more on a slope than we realised so not ideal for having meals outside etc.
Excellent position for getting into Lyme and round and about the lovely west and central Dorset.
Very nice week there, thank you.

This is a very well appointed and attractive cottage with a warm welcome and safe garden for the dog. It’s in a beautiful quiet spot ideal for walking and the coast. The very narrow lanes can be a drawback for drivers not used to them.

The cottage was actually in a very rural location and further away from Lyme Regis than we expected however, having sheep, cattle and hens in nearby fields and the views from the cottage were excellent. We had a very good time, it was in excellent condition, very well equipped and the only problem we had was with the narrowness of the drive and the hardness of beds.

Little Winters Cottage lived up to all it said it would be and a whole lot more. The cottage is light and airy with an amazing view. It is also deceptively big, it more than accommodated 6 adults, a 9 month old and 2 dogs!

A great countryside retreat set back from the busy seaside towns but within easy distance of. Excellent for our two dogs as the garden was fully enclosed and they were free to roam. The bedrooms were comfortable and the living space had everything for a 'home from home' feeling.

My family and I had a lovely week staying at Little Winters Cottage which is a little gem of a house hidden away amongst the trees and valleys of Rocombe near Lyme Regis. Big windows in the open plan living area meant we were part of nature 24/7 and could keep a watchfull eye on our closest neighbours (the woolley variety) as they munched and crunched their way through the grass. Aforementioned windows also allowed us to sit and ponder the sometimes inclement weather but in a good way!
My husband and I have a thing about beds when we are staying away, in that ours is our favourite and others rarely can compete - we both have sensitive backs and hubby in particular can be a bit of a princess and the pea character at the best of times! The super king in the master suite coped with us more than adequately - it was extremely comfortable (which is a rarity in holiday accommodation) and the pillows too were perfect for us (again, too hard pillows are too often an issue).
The kitchen was a pleasure to work in - easy to use, well equipped and again, thanks to the vista afforded by the big windows, you were always part of the views.
I have marked the house down very slightly because of the shower in the master suite. I think it would really benefit from an upgrade as the water flow was not as good as it could have been. And finally, electric towel rails in the bathrooms would also be a great addition to avoid damp towel syndrome.
These are by no means heavy criticisms but merely suggestions to make the cottage as perfect as we think it would be and whether or not these suggestions were implemented, we would have absolutely no hesitation staying at Little Winters Cottage again in the future.

This is a lovely holiday cottage - well equipped, comfortable beds and a living area large enough to comfortably accommodate 6 adults when it rained! I’d certainly recommend it.

Caring, friendly and helpful owners. The owner was extremely helpful when our dog was ill and arranged an appointment to see the vet for us.

This property is in a very peaceful location with pleasant views from the front of the property.
There was some confusion regarding parking arrangements due to information included in the arrivals email.
We could not get the wifi to work for the duration of our stay.
The radiator in the main bathroom did not heat up.
The garden was not dog secure necessitating keeping our dogs on leads when in the garden.
The weather was awful which did not enhance our stay.
