First time visiting the Cotswolds, Shenington is a lovely quiet little village with lovely walks for the dog and a village pub. Great central area to visit the Cotswolds. Our accommodation was everything we wanted, comfortable, clean, great little kitchen with everything you need to cook which we used during our stay. A private outside garden to sit in on a warm evening. We will definitely be returning to The Granary.
We chose to stay at Stonelands for a family wedding. The venue was only a five minute drive away so it was perfect. There was ten of us in the house -6 adults & 4 children & we didn’t once feel on top of each other. There was so much space in & outdoors. The kitchen is to die for! Everything you could want & more! Stonelands is really convenient for touring the Cotswolds & if we go back there we would not hesitate to book it again. We were all sad to leave such a wonderful house. Big thank you to Sue who lives nearby & was always on hand to answer our questions.
everything about the house is excellent. Huge rooms, very well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds... what more is there to say.
Fantasy apartment in the beautiful village of Winchcombe, right on the high street with all the pubs, restaurants, cafes & shops within 5-10 minutes walk of the apartment. The apartment was clean, comfortable & decorated to a high standard. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely stay, very spacious, quiet location but close enough to local town. Housed 12 of us very comfortably. Would highly recommend
We really enjoyed our stay here. A super spacious property . The furnishings really trendy and comfortable. A lovely lounge with access to the sunny conservatory and large garden. The kitchen was extremely well fitted with everything you could want. The shower room modern with power shower. Two very large and comfortable bedrooms both provided with multi electrical sockets. A real privilege to have stayed here and highly recommended.
My family in I stayed in this flat for 4 days in July. From the moment of booking we were pleased with detailed and clear communications from Stay Cotswold. 3 weeks prior to arrival we were put in contact directly with the hosts who were responsive to all of our needs and just a pleasure to communicate with. Prior to our arrival I ordered items from the hosts store below and everything was ready for us upon arriving at the flat. And the provisions were delicious! The flat was beautifully designed, thoughtfully curated, and sparkling clean. The location is second-to-none, overlooking high stree...more
Super place to stay, very spacious, decor spotless. Outside area beautiful place to sit and have a BBQ (provided) and enjoy the hottub. A 10 minute stroll from the village with everything you need. Would definitely retun
My family and I loved our stay at Upper Barn. The check in instructions were clear and simple, the property manager was quickly responsive the one time I needed him, the location gave easy walking access to the Main Street and a grocery store, and the cottage was clean, comfortable, and appointed with all the things we needed.
Our stay here was just fantastic, absolutely wonderful. The old school house was perfect for the 2 of us & so comfortable, there was everything we needed for our stay. Tony our host was just the kindest most helpful man, he was on hand a text message away if we needed help with anything & was kind enough to leave some lovely treats for us on arrival. A big thank you to him again. The property is in a very good location for walking in to town or for driving to the many other beautiful villages and towns in the area. We can’t wait to visit the Cotswolds again & have already decided that we would...more
It’s a lovely and comfortable home in a quiet village. Enjoyed retreating here away from the busier Towns. The neighbors are SO nice. Beds are great, baths are also. We did not cook, but kitchen seems very well stocked. Lots of charm.
We had a very pleasant stay in Norton Cottage! Thorough, easy to follow instructions made the property simple to find and easy to enjoy. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms spacious and clean, kitchen is functional and immaculate. Easy walking to everything in town, and private parking was a huge perk!
We really enjoyed our time at Carpenters Cottage - very relaxing, property tucked away from the road with a stunning front garden and lawn.
We had a fantastic weekend and the house was brilliant - we will definitely be returning in the future
We had a lovely stay at Manor Close Cottage. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was also very convenient for the town.
Wow is the first reaction to this stunning holiday cottage. Set on a working farm this converted barn is set in an idyllic location with awesome views over the countryside. So quiet but so close to Charlbury with lots of amenities. The cottage is immaculate in every way. Beautifully furnished with charming country furniture and accessories. Extremely comfy beds with bed linen and towels provided. One of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. Only downside being just one WC. Being really picky, would be superb if when sitting in the lounge area a patio or French door would allow un...more
Beautifully renovated cottage in a delightful village within walking distance of two pubs and a village shop.
This beautifully converted water mill is ideal for family get togethers. Plenty of space to relax, with the benefit of a hot tub. Peaceful, rural location, but not far from shops and pubs. Excellent for country walks and loved having the sheep for company. Equipped to a very high standard and very comfortable. Would highly recommend.
Beyond exceptional!!! Everything was perfect.....comfort, coziness, cleanliness, location. We did not want to leave. Would definitely recommend and cannot wait to stay here again.
The cottage is very clean, well equipped and cosy. Jane is a wonderful host, very friendly and helpful. The location of the cottage is fantastic to explore the Cotswolds.
Very enjoyable time was spent at this lovely cottage Peaceful and comfortable and surroundings were beautiful Hosts were very caring and helpful Easy to travel from
We have recently returned from a midweek break at The Byres and it was superb. We have always stayed at high end accommodation and this didn’t disappoint. We have been coming to The Cotswolds for years and specifically chose a barn conversion, as it is all on one level and we have a son with additional needs. Everything about the interior of this beautiful holiday home was just perfect for us. We were able to relax and unwind knowing that our son was safe and we could watch over him constantly in the open plan design. The garden was beautifully manicured and my wife and I were able to enjoy ...more
Great location within easy walking distance of downtown and hiking trails. Being next to the church was an added bonus. Perfect for two couples. We’d stay there again!
Such a lovely place to stay, I’ve even taken pictures for inspiration for decorating my own home! It was very warm on the top floor but once the windows were opened up it cooled off quickly. There wasn’t any cleaning products for wiping the kitchen down so we bought some as didn’t want to leave it dirty. I only gave a 4 for location due to parking being hard and we couldn’t find anything anywhere about suggestions on best places to park. It wasn’t too far away but with a baby it felt longer. The garden was so pretty, we would have sat out there had the weather been better! We really couldn’t f...more
We loved this cottage and its location. The cottage was very well equiped, furnished and decorated. Blockley is a lovely village with a great shop and cafe set in beautiful countryside with great walks from the doorstep.
Buttercup Cottage is clean, comfortable and has all you need for your holiday. The owner is really helpful and quick to reply to any queries. It's on a quiet side street in Tetbury and it's a short stroll into town where you'll find lots of places to eat. If you're cooking for yourself Tesco's is a short drive away. Tetbury itself is really pretty and well placed as a base for exploring the Cotswolds. While there's free parking outside the front door, it's often full but there's a car park a few doors along which is quite cheap. We downloaded the app which made paying easier. The large private...more
We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was in a great location for our visit. Very close to downtown.
The Rosewood Cottage is very well located with a pretty design. The Blockley village is surrounded by nature that is missed in a city. It's a place where you need a break from the city.
Everything about our stay at Twigs was amazing. Coral was so helpful and friendly, even putting out a sign on the street on the evening of our arrival so we would know where to turn in. The kitchen has a full-sized side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, which was great for storing food for our 6 night stay. The welcome pack was very appreciated. Best water pressure we've ever had in the shower - absolutely amazing! Gorgeous gardens to sit out in the morning or evening, after touring around the Cotswolds. Evening dinners at the Bell Inn Langford were great. Can't say enough positive things ...more
Easily located, well equipped and excellent condition. Good walking direct from apartment with the added benefit of access to immaculate interesting gardens. Would be delighted to return in the future.
Would 100% recommend a stay here. We loved it. Perfect little hut with a self contained garden. Friendly welcome on arrival and tentative owners. The only point I would raise is due to the heat when we stayed it would have been nice to have a small fan or something to that effect. However would stay again
We had an amazing time, staying in this beautiful cared for holiday home. It was a delight. The whole place was full of character. The gardens were beautifully kept. The kitchen was well equipped. The lounge conservatory a lovely place to relax. With lovely weather we had most of breakfasts, lunches and dinners in the garden which was laid out with picnic benches. We just had a lovely time.
We had a 4 night break at Little Cottage. The cottage was beautiful and clean. The location was great in the centre of Stow on the Wold - very close to shops and restaurants and also a great base to explore the Cotswolds.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, wonderful cottage for a few nights in a beautiful part of the world. Wood Cottage is a beautiful cottage for a couple getaway. Garden was perfect for our Dachshund to explore. Really well located just next to the center of Fairford. Sue and Gary were very helpful with any enquiries we had as well. Would love to return again, many thanks.
We were a group staying in Folly view and we also booked the shepherds hut that is alongside as it gave us a bit more additional space. Very cute and cosy cabin!
Everything perfect and more than expected. You not only get what you can see, but more. 10 out of 10 points. We will return.
I stayed in Nursery End House with my daughter and her husband and two children. We had a very comfortable stay and excellent facilities - the shower was great and all the beds very comfortable. The children were aged 8 and 13 and they loved having their own spacious room. There are lots of things to see and in the Cotswolds and the food is great. Thank you for a wonderful stay from all of us. Ann
Perfect in every way, property is well equipped for all your needs. Beautiful location all the local people are so friendly. We had a lovely stay bed's are really comfortable, kitchen has everything you need to self cater and gorgeous garden to relax in. This was our second stay and would definitely return.
Lovely cottage very comfortable nice style. Ideal location to visit the rest of the town and the rest of the Cotswolds.
We thoroughly recommend Chapel House. It is a beautifully restored property, decorated to a very high standard. Very homely and situated within a lovely village. We were sorry to leave!
everything at rabbit was great, and Jenny and Mark were perfect hosts. Good location to base ourselves to explore lots of different areas
We stayed in Enoch Cottage for 5 days and enjoyed every minute. The cottage has everything you could want. It has a lovely back garden that feels very private and is fenced. I would love for my house to be decorated like this cottage! The location is perfect with a very short walk to the main street and easy driving to other villages. Definitely would stay again.
We needed accommodation for seven to celebrate our daughter’s 40th birthday and this property which is two linked was perfect. Property finished to a high standard and bathrooms were lovely. We would have liked two ovens but managed with one and kitchen was otherwise excellent. Plenty of crockery and cutlery. Outside area ideal although extra sun beds would have been useful if weather better.
Ostlers is a charming property, extremely well located in the center of Buford, cozy and full of character, being a historic building. Excellent parking in the back was great for our big nine-passenger van. We stayed as a family of 4, and our kids enjoyed their own separate rooms. We cook all our meals at home, reason why the kitchen is such an important factor wherever we stay. The kitchen at Ostlers is very well equipped with any sort of kitchenware imaginable, as well as basics such as salt, sugar, oil, etc., which is very welcome for a traveling family. Appliances are modern and in perfect...more
Our stay at Owls Roost was phenomenal! Every room was immaculately clean and the kitchen was well stocked with essential supplies. The bathrooms were lovely and you could tell they had been recently refurbished too, and the hot tub was great fun! Lovely views of the countryside and horses and the host family were also extremely welcoming, friendly and warm. We had a great time and would recommend to any large groups looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay in the Cotswolds with great location to Bourton on the Water especially.
The Brewery was the perfect place for us to stay with friends. Clean, spacious and in a great location.
We had a lovely stay at Will's Cottage. It was perfectly placed for a family wedding around the corner.
Our family had a lovely stay at Molls Yard. It is a great location to explore the Coltswald when renting a car. There are a few local pubs in the area we really enjoyed. The flat was well-equipped and very comfortable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and stay to Broadwell. The cottage had (almost) everything that we needed and was very clean and welcoming! What a stunning place and immaculate garden. The only thing missing was mention of personal products like shampoo and soap which we easily bought in the end but it would have been helpful to know prior to a transatlantic flight.
stylish apartment , minutes away from main high street with lots of coffee shops, restaurants and shops. Comfortable bedrooms. Enjoyed sitting out on sunny terrace.
Wonderful stayed at The Knoll Cottage. You felt as home when you arrived to the cottage. Everything is very clean. You can find details everywhere. The sofá and beds are very confortable. All rooms are lovely decorated. The kitchen is great, love cook there! The back yard is so beautiful. It has been one of the best houses we have ever been. Thankyou!
Myself and my husband stayed here recently. Fantastic location, spotlessly clean and a beautiful little cottage close to Cirencester. Spoke to Ben, the owner, very friendly and welcoming. Perfect base to visit other locations in the area. A spar shop literally a stones throw away, handy to.pick up essentials.
This was one of the best quality holiday lets we have stayed in. It was comfortable, well equipped, well maintained and beautifully decorated.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Tractor Shed, nestled in the picturesque Cotswold countryside. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by its undeniable charm. The property itself is immaculate, with thoughtful touches throughout. We enjoyed lazy mornings sipping coffee on the decked area, soaking up the sun and taking in the breathtaking views. Whether you’re a couple seeking a romantic getaway or a solo traveler in need of quiet respite, The Tractor Shed is the perfect choice.
We had a brilliant time staying at The Smithy. Communication was excellent throughout. The house is really lovely and the kitchen well stocked. The house was exceptionally clean. We found the location was brilliant. And enjoyed wandering around Chipping Norton looking at the shops and had a brilliant dinner at The Boxing Hare. We will definitely book again! Thank you
This lovely little flat exceeded our expectations. From start to finish the company could not have been more helpful. The accommodation was superb and we could not find fault with anything. Some non slip stickers in the bath might be an idea, as I found it quite slippery getting out of the shower. Lovely welcome pack to put you on till you can do a shop. I would highly recommend, great base to explore from
We had a very comfortable stay with 13 family members. The kitchen is large, and we spent a lot of time there. The location is ideal as well - easy access to everything that Stow-on-the-Wold has to offer. The house was in pristine condition and has been finished to a very high standard. The property is also next door to a high-quality restaurant. We arranged for a gourmet family meal that was served to us in the home.
This was our third visit to the Cotswolds and we wanted to find a place consistent with Cotswolds charm in a less touristy location. We found that in Midsummer Cottage. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and on a gorgeous street in a lovely town. The backyard was pleasant in both mornings and evenings. The washer and dryer were efficient and easy to operate. We sent pictures to our family and everyone who viewed the photos remarked, independently, that the cottage was “charming.” I would offer two cautions. One, if you are 6’2” or taller, be prepared to duck upstairs, but only when go...more
Cottage was beautiful we all loveld itbut communication wasn’t great !! Would recommend it and lived the local cat Cedric too
We had a fantastic stay in Garden Cottage. The attention to detail and the small additions made us very welcome. Lovely to have bread, cake, milk and conserves to start us off. The whole cottage was clean and smelt fresh, with a bouquet of flowers in the window. We enjoyed the hot tub after our days out exploring the area on our bikes. The secure garden with lockable gate access was great to make sure our bikes were secure. Our only request would be that the TV was simpler to use. We do not have Apple TV at home and so found the controller complicated, luckily we managed to stream from our i...more
Accommodation was excellent. Everyone in our family from 9 to 75 enjoyed their stay. The hot tub, trampoline ( our granddaughter can now do a somersault ! ) and games barn were especially popular with all the grandchildren . The only fault for the older family members was the poor lighting in the bedrooms.
Well where do I start! We have been to Bourton on the water before and were enchanted by its beauty and Fosseside House just added to our wonderful week. The location was brilliant for walking into the very busy village so we could leave the car at home. The house certainly lived up to its pictures! It was a great size for our party of 9 and had everything we needed (possibly another fan on the very hot days) The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. The furnishings were good quality and well maintained. The garden was private but could have had a bigger grass area for the...more
Found the place just as described. We’d clocked there was only one full height shower and two baths with shower hoses. All 8 of us like a shower so there was a bit of a rota in the morning but overall it was the best holiday cottage we’ve stayed in - loved it and all the personal touches. Great open plan to the ground floor meant we were all together with a couple of alcoves for those who wanted to take a step back and read. Thank you for a great stay
Really enjoyed staying at The Nest- it had everything and more, that we needed for our stay. Winchcombe was a lovely base to explore the amazing Cotswolds.
The entire house and grounds are of the highest standard with space for everyone to relax or enjoy fun and games. The bedrooms and facilities are modern, tastefully furnished and very comfortable. A very well equipped kitchen and larder area made catering easy. We appreciated the quiet spaces too and the privacy of the BBQ area and hot tub. The well maintained grassy areas enabled ball games to be played safely and there are pleasant walks from the property. We found the owners accessible and quick to respond to any issues. For a special family gathering, this house is ideal. We would recomm...more
Lovely cottage fantastic friendly village. Could not fault the cottage lively village setting , quiet location which is just what we wanted. Stunning village location with ll the amenities thaat we needed. Central location for the places we wanted t visit Highly recommended by my family and I
Yes Tree Farmhouse is the perfect weekend getaway spot for big families. All the rooms are spacious, garden is huge with lots of out tables so you can eat outside, incredibly clean (we felt as if everything was new). The games room was also super fun (all equipment was provided). The host was able incredibly nice and they responded promptly to any of our questions/requests. Would highly recommend Yew Tree Farmhouse! :)!
A lovely place to stay in the centre of Tetbury with friends and family. House is great and has a bit of outside space.
The concept of 2 barns suited our family requirements. One family of 2 adults, 2 children, 1 baby and a dog were in Little Barn and 5 adults and a baby in High Barn. Linking the 2 barns is a gravel area which was irritating to walk on and got dispersed into both properties. A new solid path would resolve this. Very spacious outdoor areas, allowing multiple activities to be done outside on big grassy area. Overall complex very spacious and no problems with any neighbours, away from working farm. We would definitely return as ideal for large multi generation family holidays. Excellent amenities ...more
We had a lovely week in Keeley Cottage, especially as the forecast predicted rain every day but we had nothing but beautiful sunshine! The cottage is in a great location, so handy to pop to the High Street shops for anything you need. The Chipping Campden ‘Open Gardens’ were on, so we got to see some fabulous gardens, houses and meet the friendly locals. There is everything you can possibly imagine in Keeley Cottage, so a real home from home. The Welcome Pack was very much appreciated, thank you.. chilled white wine, bread, milk, eggs, butter, orange juice and dry food in the cupboard. W...more
Cottage well presented and good size rooms with everything you need apart from a tea towel! Next to church but unaware the bells rang every hour during the day and through the night. Car parking limited at times and long stay car park not 24hrs. A blind for the front door would have been nice to give extra privacy if required. Next door was being renovated and understand that noise will occur but the work did go on throughout Sunday which made us leave earlier than planned for that day. Top hand rail had come away from the wall and although bottom part was secure was concerned that it would ...more
The property was one of the best equipped properties in which we have stayed. Everything was provided, including many items not found in other holiday rentals. My sister in law found plenty of places to take her dog for a walk. The garden was delightful, and fully enclosed so the dog could be off lead. The accommodation was very comfortable and spacious. We did have an issue with StayCotswold. My sister in law does not have access to the internet, so we wanted to print off the instructions for finding and accessing the Barn. However, only the template printed, with no details visible. We a...more
A wonderful cottage in a quiet location. We only used the ground floor part of the house but regretted not using the upstairs bedroom and bathroom as the downstairs bedroom was slightly damp and difficult to get good airflow for ventilation. The large garden was excellent for our dogs and the kitchen area offered substantial space for us all. Lovely lounge room with comfortable furniture and a magnificent fireplace area. Parking is a bit awkward for a large vehicle but manageable all the same.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Old Post Office Cottage. The place is adorable and our host left us a wonderful welcome basket that we thoroughly enjoyed. One thing to be aware of - the stairwell is steep and a bit tricky to navigate.
We had a wonderful couple of days at the Reading Room, the cottages everything needed for a relaxing holiday. The Carpenter's Arms is only a minute away and the walk into Burford only takes 5 minutes. We had a lovely meal at the Angel Inn but we're disappointed with the Carpenter's
We stayed at The Court House for a long weekend for a special family get together and a group that included 3 generations. The house had everything we needed and was set up perfectly for a large group of couples and children. The host was on hand to help with a couple of questions during our stay and quick to respond which we appreciated. The pool was a brilliant amenity to have and everyone, especially the kids, made good use of it. The village is really well served with two pubs, a shop and large children's playground within walking distance. We'd definitely recommend The Court House!
We are a family of five and spent 20 days at Rose Tree Cottage. The house is amazing , even better than pictures. It has everything you need and is very well located, so you can explore all the area and beyond. Heather and David are very kind and we are very grateful for their hospitality. I would recommend it without any doubt. Thanks to StayCotswold as well for their efforts to help us finding this beautiful house. Rafa, Carmen, Marta, Jorge and Carmen (Spain)
What a wonderful setting to stay in, our dog loved it as the garden is fully enclosed so we could let her out and explore the garden. The shepherds hut had everything you would need for a holiday. A microwave, hob and all the utensils and condiments you would need. We got there and it had a bottle of wine, tea, coffee and some milk. The wildlife was amazing, hares, owls, rabbits. The list goes on. A picnic area at the side of the Thames was a great spot to watch the boats go bye. Overall a wonderful stay in Vespers!!!
My daughter and I stayed here for a birthday treat and it is a fabulous property, right in the centre of Stow. Everything you could possibly want is on your doorstep and also close to other villages and attractions. Very spacious and comfortable property, and it also felt very secure being in the enclosed courtyard overnight. Great communication from StayCotswold. We will definitely book again!
Everything we needed. Very comfortable. Car parking was a bit of an issue. Can only use the 24 hour park for 12 hours!
The cottage was lovely. It was well equipped and well located. We enjoyed barbecuing in the garden as well as a meal at the local pub.
We very much enjoyed our holiday n the Shepherds Hut. It it beautifully fitted inside. We hope to stay again. The only downside was the tiny fridge, which for us could have done with being larger.
We chose this cottage as we needed something for 6 people , 2 dogs and an ev charger ideally with a pub nearby! The weather was perfect all weekend and we were able to take advantage of the lovely gardens with different seating areas to enjoy the sun The little touches like the welcome pack etc makes all the difference Great little community shop just round the corner for anything you forget A perfect venue for our family get together
We recently stayed at the beautiful AT Lakeside and had a wonderful time. Our visit was for a wedding, which we paired with a family break including grandparents and children, allowing us to spend a week exploring the area. The house was incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean, situated in a lovely, serene setting. It provided a perfect blend of comfort and countryside charm. The location was ideal for our adventures. The quaint village of Bibury, with the must-see Arlington Row, and Burton-on-the-Water was just a short drive away, as was the bustling town of Cirencester. We also enjoyed...more
We had a great time at Ross House. Only a short walk to all of the pubs, shops etc. very nice little touches in the property. The only criticism that we had were squeaky floor boards upstairs kept waking our 9 month old baby. He is a light sleeper, so we found every time we walked away after putting him down, the noise would wake him again. This obviously would not be an issue for everyone and we would recommend the property.
Excellent location to explore the Cotswolds. Really good eateries on your doorstep and what a lovely cosy cottage. Would definitely stay again.
This property is very well equipped, well decorated and tastefully furnished with plenty of space. All the tech works well - tv, wi-fi, music, lights and blinds - all excellent. The key/check in went smoothly and the instructions throughout the property are comprehensive - note the oven should be studied before use. The grounds are excellent and our dog and the grandchildren loved the space. Village pub a bit of a walk uphill but 2 minutes in the car with dog/children is no problem. Nearby plenty of 'cotswold' stuff for you to choose from or just stay in the garden and chill out. Overall...more
Second time we’ve been back and it didn’t disappoint. Great location, peaceful and pretty. House is spacious and perfect for a a family get together.
We spent 4 nights here in July. The cottage was spotless, and filled with beautiful studio pottery, furnishings and art work. The village is idyllic, as are all the surrounding villages. Blockley is a great base when exploring other villages and sites - we packed loads in! Only one pub was open whilst we were staying there which was a shame. Thank you for the welcome pack of breakfast goodies!
Welcome pack was very good, but still looking for the promised Nespresso machine Very tastefully decorated As usual the kitchen knives were not sharp No complaints about the comfort of the beds although the twin bed room was rather Spartan compared to the others much to the chagrin of the youngest member of our group who drew that straw! Rain head shower fell on to the head of one of the guests, but was cleaned and reassembled by us Everything else was ok
A lovely comfortable cottage in a beautiful village with great walks with the dog. The cottage was well equipped with everything we could need. Bed comfortable and sofa in the lounge lovely and comfortable. The only thing I would say is that we had to keep the dog on the lead in the outside area because of chickens (which we didn’t see) and the broken electric gate. But it wasn’t a huge problem.
We recently had a wounderful holiday to the Cotswolds. Tyte Cottage was a lovely location extremely peaceful and relaxing as a base location. Well located near Chipping Norton to explore all the Cotswolds. Some fantastic location and recommend restaurants from the owners, nothing was too much. We will definitely be back. Thankyou
This was our 2nd stay in Stow and first stay at Nepenthe. The cottage was fine for a family of 4 (2 late teens) and a dog. Well supplied kitchen with a spacious sitting room. Bedrooms were fine for a weeks stay, nice sized wardrobe and en suite in the main bedroom with an extra en-suite in one of the other bedrooms and a nice sized bathroom for the 3rd bedroom. Cottage is located perfectly for Stow town centre with pubs and restaurants literally 30seconds from the door. It’s on the main road into Stow but still peaceful and quiet in the evening. Parking is on street so have to get used to...more
First impressions count and this property had it all.- fabulous facilities and the wow factor. Had to be good at reversing to get the car into the enclosed yard. Display cabinet shelves a bit dusty and the wok had been left with oil in but other than these minor points the property was first class.
Beautiful accommodation as described in the marketing. Wood fired hot tub and the use of the paddle boards made our stay perfect! Perhaps the only comments from the guests were that it would have been nice to have a shower downstairs to shower off before/after the hot tub and paddle boarding but this was not a problem as all bedrooms had an en-suite which were lovely.
The Hayloft was clean and cozy and a perfect spot to stay in while we visited friends in Cold Aston. (Bonus walking distance!)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ways End cottage the property was spotless and facilities were ideal a lovely relaxing place to stay for a vacation. The location was ideal and was only a 5 minute walk in to Stow on the Wold with the lovely gift shops and restaurants, and easy access to the larger towns. We certainly would stay again and would highly recommend. Many thanks.
Our recent stay at The Old Dairy in Stanton, UK, was a relaxing and picturesque escape that exceeded all expectations. Nestled in the charming Cotswold village of Stanton, this cottage offers a perfect blend of rustic elegance and modern comfort. The Old Dairy is ideally situated for those looking to experience the quintessential English countryside. Stanton is a picturesque village with traditional stone cottages with thatched roofs and beautiful landscapes. The location is perfect for exploring local footpaths and visiting nearby attractions, such as Broadway and Chipping Campden. We had ...more
We were delighted by the cleanliness and condition of the Barns. We rented all of them (other than there was no access code for Pony) other than through the Barn. The Hub and Bathroom were well stocked with glasses and kitchen utilities were ample for our purposes. We had a reception on the lawn for all our guests plus the Brides family on the Friday which worked well. The bed in the Main Barn above the kitchen is terribly hard because the mattress is far too thin /worn for the quality of accommodation. I didnt try the others.
A family get-together. Absolutely spot on. Roomy, comfortable, excellently equipped. It gave us room to be together and yet room to be alone if necessary. Altogether fabulous.
You always wonder if the house will look like the pictures and this one really does. We had a lovely stay with our family and a dog. The kitchen was a perfect size and all the bedrooms are good sizes as well. The green was just right for the family and the dog and a nice sun trap. The location is great just a short 10minute walk into the centre of the village as you can take a short cut down the footpath. It was lovely to do this in the evening to walk the dog and see Bourton-on-water a bit quieter as sometimes on a hot day it can get very busy.
Lovely stay- the garden made our holiday as the weather was fantastic and the grandchildren could enjoy the secure nature garden. Lots of attractions within a short drive and plenty to explore locally.
Stayed with some friends prior to my wedding. Great location with ample on street parking and on the property too, clean rooms and cozy beds. The garden and grounds are stunning especially in the summer when all the flowers are blooming. Helpful and kind host. Would 10/10 recommend.
My family really enjoyed staying at the Masters house. It had great location, good amenities, and included everything we needed.
We spent a family holiday at Pear Tree Cottage and had a lovely time. The cottage is located conveniently close to Daylesford for shopping and lots of walks are within easy reach. It’s set up is terrific for parents with little kids.
Beautiful cottage with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Spacious ground floor with beautiful countryside views. Quite far from the center of the village on foot but easy to drive and park in the village. Would book again.
Our 3rd or possibly 4th stay in this wonderful cottage. It’s absolutely perfect for a relaxing Cotswolds Stay. Main square in Stow is a couple of minutes walk and the best Cotswolds Restaurant- The Old Butcher’s - directly opposite the cottage! We’ll be back. The Newbold family from Coventry
Confortable, rustic, peacefull, magnificent garden, very top class cottage. I would recommend it to all my friends.
We had a lovely stay at Cost Corner. It was in a beautiful village and very easy to locate. Near lots of supermarkets and shops to stock up on necessities. I would recommend and stay again.
Our stay at The Farmhouse was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. Neil provided exceptional customer service, ensuring that our experience was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a selection of thoughtful gifts scattered throughout the house, including a delightful hamper, bottles of wine and cider in the fridge, and plenty of other homely treats. We were celebrating my mum's 50th birthday with a group of 10, and the accommodation offered more than enough space for everyone. There are also beautiful walking routes nearby for the dogs, and a small ...more
Since moving to England, my travel dreams have been to 1) visit the Cotswolds, 2) stay in a majestic old home, and 3) enjoy the countryside. Staying at Middle Gable has allowed me to check all three of those things off my list. Middle Gable is situated right off the main tourist road of Bourton-on-the-Water and couldn't be more perfect. It is exactly what the Cotswolds of my imagination looked like; a gorgeous old home with a beautifully maintained garden. The house was probably bigger than what my small family of three needed, but once I saw the giant four-poster bed in the master bedroom, I ...more
Cottage was excellent. All you need and homely. Bed which is very important was very comfortable and King Size, better than most of the beds in cottages in the UK.
The house was in stunning location and fully equipped. We had no problems with the house and even the dog was fully provided for. The welcome basket was very useful as we arrived late in the day. It was rather difficult to find and the drive was narrow but once you find the location it was fine. Lots of walks from the property and several dog friendly pubs. Will book again if we need to see relations in the area.
Really nice stay, cottage needs some TLC as it’s obviously heavily used. Slightly awkward walking past next door neighbour but you can use the side entrance up the footpath. Good stay overall would recommend
We spent a week at middle barn in Chipping Norton and safe to say we had a very enjoyable time. We were travelling with a 4 year old and 10 month old so it was was important to keep them occupied! The location of the property is great. You are a 2 min walk to the main high street through a private secure gate behind the cottages. The house itself was clean and the kitchen having some essentials provided on arrival was a nice touch. The property is located via a tight/narrow driveway and although the house has an allocated driveway, practicing multi point turns to access is a must. (If too much...more
My wife and I dearly wanted to love Trinity. It's charming, well designed, homey, cute, and ridiculously well located. Unfortunately it was also extremely hot during our late May stay which made sleeping extraordinarily difficult. First the good: The location is simply outstanding, with pubs, shopping, and a grocery store all very nearby. The full kitchen is quite nice, with every standard need attended to. The milk and cookies was a pleasant touch. The couch is comfortable and the layout is overall well done for a couple. As a miscellaneous note, the bath towels are superb, thick and larg...more
A luxury cottage. Owner put the Aga on, so we were warm, and the wood burner was a bonus. Needs a teapot, and a bread board!
We had a fabulous stay at Blenheim Cottage - it is clean, comfortable, well-appointed and beautifully presented. Although it has 2 bedrooms, we found the space ideal for two of us and thought it might feel rather cramped with four. The outside space is charming (note, there are some steep steps and hazards for children), but, again, not spacious and with no seating for lounging. There is no permit to park on the street outside the house (restricted between 6pm and 8am), but there is detailed information inside the cottage on parking options. We were lucky to find a space on the street a few mi...more
A very spacious and well-equipped cottage with plenty of character. An excellent location in the centre of beautiful Stow-on-the-Wold and convenient for exploring the Cotswold area. Particularly loved the light and airy sitting room and good sized private garden. Would recommend!
Stayed with whole family so glad to have somewhere that could accommodate us all. Unfortunately we did not receive email until we had left which was a shame as we did not need to take tea towels etc. Location of barn fantastic for exploring the Cotswolds. Love the unique touches ie Boule. Would recommend to anyone.
We had a lovely time at the Corner House Barn. It was a great location for the 5 of us (one baby) to relax and enjoy a break. Also it was close to beautiful villages to explore. Would definitely come back again.
We found the accommodation to be excellent for our basic requirement of 3 double rooms with at least two bathrooms. Benson cottage provided 2 Kingsize bedrooms with en-suite showers and a master suite with Queensize bed. All comfortable, cozy and well equipped for our week away. We have a family get together every year with a cottage rental, and this was the best accommodation yet. The local village pub was being renovated, which was a shame, but lots of other choices within 15 minute drive. Very quiet location which suited us fine.
North House is a lovely cosy cottage, clean and fairly well equipped. Having off road parking is an added bonus. We had hoped to use the bbq during the stay but sadly it had seen better days and does need replacing.
We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Prince Barn. It's a lovely bright cottage with extremely comfortable beds, generous living space, a well equipped kitchen and immaculate bathrooms / shower rooms. Very useful to have a washing machine too in a utility room. The location is very pleasant and just a 5 minute drive to Faringdon. We would love to return.
There's no doubt the level of luxury and detail in furnishings, decor and accessories is top notch here, but the price tag kind of demands that! The peace and quiet and perfect location to explore the Cotswolds were also highlights. The downsides are easily fixable, so hope the owners do: There was no microwave!! An essential for families. There were too many cobwebs to pass off as missed. The heating (supposedly set at a constant 22 degrees) dropped below 18 and the whole house was very cold. You're not allowed to alter the thermostat so I emailed and phoned the contact (in ...more
We had a great family reunion at Ivy Cottage and made lots of lasting memories. The cottage was very comfortable and the welcome pack of milk, bread etc and goodies for our dog was very much appreciated. Only negative comment would be the kitchen is not well equipped, a few more mugs and glasses would be good to safe washing up or running the dishwasher twice a day! Good location with some nice pubs nearby. Would definitely recommend for a great family holiday.
Cider Press Cottage was a comfortable, spacious, fully equipped base for our intensive touring of the Cotswold Area. Ilmington is very quiet but offers quick and easy access to the surrounding areas. Our only concern was the driveway access which is problematic if you have a long car and/or one with low ground clearance.
Plus 1. Location 2. Love the design 3. Clean Minus 1. Maintenance A. Nespresso machine is due for descaling. The descaling light was already on when we arrived. There was no descaling kit available. B. The conditions of the pots and pans are dreadful. Badly in need of replacement. C. Light bulb of one of the bedside table lamp wasnt working. Flashing all the way. 2. Non Contactable Property Manager We tried to contact Brian via the phone number provided over whatsapp and phone call. No response over whatsapp and no one picked up the call.
We spend a nice week in Honeystone Cottage and used the garden as much as the weather allowed. The house is well equipped, nice furniture and clean. We (two persons and one hound) felt immediatley at home.
The beds were very comfy. Well equipped kitchen. Clean interior, but feel the exterior needs attention
A lovely holiday cottage which was very clean. A nice welcome pack and everything you can think of in the kitchen. It is a very short drive from Moreton in Marsh which has shops, pubs and restaurants. Off street parking was great especially as, despite being a small village, the road is very busy at times. However, there were a number of issues which would put us off booking again: - broken toilet seat (downstairs) - I can see this was mentioned on a previous review but is has not been fixed/replaced - no mirrors in the bedrooms (except one) and where there were mirrors, there are no p...more
Beautiful cottage. Perfect location for our needs. With everything we needed. Within easy reach of many cotswold attractions and even the coast
A lovely homely cottage in the hearts of the Cotswold. We were 6 adults with 2 children, plenty of space to enjoy. We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the gardens. The house is well looked after. Would visit again.
Old Brewery House is a very charming place, representing the "Cotswold soul" and a nice place with lot of room to stay for a big family.
I’ve stayed in Stow many times and this location has to be the best; overlooking the church and just at the edge of the square yet no traffic noise. The beds are comfy, apartment is clean and the roof terrace is a great addition as not many apartments have an outside space. Would definitely stay again!
Lovely village to stay - pubs with good food, friendly staff. Good location to visit the area. Cottage good although few cobwebs and patio/front steps need weeding. Great shower with hot water. Freezer compartment would be helpful for ice packs and ice.
The cottage had everything we needed, with the minor exception of pods for the Nespresso in the kitchen. The cottage was spotless at arrival. The bedrooms and living room were lovely and very comfortable. The views from the property are stunning. It’s a wonderful location in the charming village of Churchill. Dinner and drinks at Chequers were a treat. From a customer service standpoint, there was minimal contact from the rental agency but this didn’t bother us and may have been a function of our short-notice booking and the stay being on the weekend. For self-sufficient guests who are happ...more
Easy communication via email and phone with Stay Cotswolds regarding the booking. The cottage was clean and very comfortable with plenty of room and bathrooms for our family of 9 plus a toddler and a 4 year old. The kitchen was on the small side but was extremely well resourced with plenty of crockery, pots, cutlery and serving dishes etc. Just a few glitches, we had to call for the access key code as an email hadn't been received by the day we were arriving and there was lots of garbage and recycling at the property when we arrived. These were both resolved via phones calls although I had t...more
Shaven Cottage is a really lovely property. It’s a great size and in a village with a couple of lovely pubs to eat in. The decoration and quality of accommodation was great and the property inside was very clean and well maintained. The three lounges were a nice bonus as the children had their own games room/lounging room. It’s well located and close to plenty of other Cotswolds villages and attractions. It’s a shame the pub next door wasn’t serving food at all while we were there as it looked lovely! Parking is up the side of the house and behind a large gate which is good, but it’s quite...more
Recently updated and well equipped cottage in a lovely village with amenities which mean you don't have to drive for food etc. Great walks from the door. Helpful owner and manager. Parking easy on high street about 50m away. Lovely views from bedroom and garden. Comfortable beds. Dishwasher and washing machine helpful but a bigger clothes airer or a washing line would be useful for longer stays. House was a little dusty in places but very clean otherwise. Lounge furniture a little small for comfort, especially with 3 people, but big TV in bedroom. Low ceilings in doorways a bit tricky for anyo...more
spacious for 4 guests with fully furnished interiors. 20 minutes drive to Cotsworld animal farm. Host is accommodating
Lovely property, with a beautiful garden, in an excellent location. The cottage is very well equipped, the owners have thought of everything! Very dog friendly area with lovely pubs and walks.
A small quaint accommodation with adequate resources (tea, cleaning products etc). The decor is a little tired through wear and tear (stains on kettle and carpets). The beams are beautiful and the facilities are good quality. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the showers and baths in good working order. A super place re parking and accessibility to the town. We had no neighbours so it was extremely quiet. Would return...
Woodman cottage was beautifully decorated with lovely materials. Its location is a little hard to find, but once you arrive, you will understand why. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the pitoresque area.
A lovely converted barn with plenty of room for 4 adults. There are 2 good size double bedrooms, 1 with a double bed & the other with twin beds. There are also 2 bathrooms, 1 of which is a wet room. I am disabled so the wet room was a must for me! My only issue is that the wet room could do with a grab rail by the toilet & another by the shower. The shower would also be improved by providing a shower stool or chair.
A good garden for dogs with lots of sitting areas. The only comment is the taps in the downstairs toilet could not be turned on and off easily and there was only a small amount of water coming through to wash hands
After the initial hunt for the property in which we had to phone maddie and ask direct location ,we entered a beautiful cottage, a very cosy and comfortable lounge and an excellent sun room overlooking the garden where the horses came to say hello (over the fence) each day. The kitchen was quite small,no dishwasher we managed. Unfortunately the BBQ was dirty with snails residing on main cooking area.there was also a lack of cleaning equipment. The quietness was disturbed by three enormous combine harvesters nearly taking the wall out on the blind corner, and several tractors daily,we were amaz...more
Directions provided got me there even if the lane was easily missed first time of asking. The car parking space is tight when somebody is already parked in the one next to it - but it's manageable, just take your time. The Lower Barn is nicely laid out in light colours and feels more spacious than the pictures may suggest. Kitchen is well equipped and it was a nice touch to have a fresh loaf amongst other bits and bobs on arrival. The living area was fine, space for 4 of us and our cockapoo. Downstairs lav was handy, upstairs bathroom nice and spacious. Beds were comfy with nice fresh linen. T...more
An ideal location for a reunion of five couples. Good walking with various pubs to visit. One or two minor issues such as lights above bathroom mirrors did not seem to work and the kitchen mixer tap was missing a hot water lever. Bedrooms very comfortable.
The location of the cottage was picturesque and the horses are beautiful. Our first family holiday as a 3 with our 1yr old. First arrival to the cottage inside is very undated, had an old stuffy smell to the place and had cobwebs in the wardrobe's, the tv is very slow, there was also mould on the inside of the curtains in the bedroom and its smaller than advertised on the website. The bed it’s self was uncomfortable as the temperature was 24 degrees there was no A/C or anything provided to cool the place down. Met the owner of the cottage on second day he was very polite. All together the...more
Oxbow Cottage provide the perfect haven for our week away! The views over the valley from the patio were delightful and the cottage is perfectly sized for 2. Our dog was thrilled with the use of the paddock and would wait patiently by the gate to go back in! The walk into Stow is easily done from the cottage and it was a great base to explore further afield both on foot and in the car. Debs was lovely and helpful, and we would not hesitate to book again.
We had a pleasant, comfortable time in Abbots Cottage last weekend. The property, and Winchcombe had just about everything we needed. Directions to the property was clear, access into the cottage was easy. Parking outside on double yellow lines was a bit of a juggle, and having to find a car park took a little time, but once you know, you know. The village has everything one requires for a quiet, uneventful stay - two supermarkets, pubs serving good food, walks galore, and a castle up the road! Booking was smoooth and although we didn't need to talk with anyone, we felt confident we could ...more
The front yard of the cottage was really Nice and the cottage itself was very nice too. Be careful with the power beams, I had to had my head glued bumping into one. The kids beds where not that comfy and the backyard was great to have but not much taken care of as we would have liked. It is Very peaceful and the Village is lovely and quite. Very close to Cirencester which is a great Village to visit.
A cute little cottage which is a great base, close to cafes, restaurants, shops and pubs. Plenty of lovely walks to enjoy on your doorstep. Only downside is the parking, although Sharon gave really clear directions to where we could park the car there were no spaces as there is currently lots of building work going on nearby and the workmen’s vans were taking up most of the lane. Thankfully after 5pm we managed to park once the workmen had finished to go home and they were not there over the weekend. It just made it difficult to drop our bags etc off.
I found the bathroom facilities very poor for myself and my partner we are in our 70s and the shower over the high Bath was very difficult for us. This should be mentioned in the description. The road very very noisy. We did miss no Tv just downloading available which if my daughter was not With us we would struggle with this. Maybe not property for older customers.
A super cottage that was situated perfectly for visiting all the beautiful sites. The cottage was well equipped with plenty of towels available. The property was clean but would benefit from an extra hour to sort cobwebs and some areas were dust has collected over afew months. Garden lovely and neighbours very friendly. Parking across the road which was no problem.
Freda and mike enjoyed watching the barn owl at night. The bbq was filthy and unusable. I hate giving reviews.
This was a great find for three nights in the Cotswolds. The accommodation was perfect for a family of three - spacious, comfortable and full of character. The welcome pack was a lovely touch (quality products too), the design and decor very tasteful and cosy and we had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The garden and views were a real bonus and Ebrington is a great base. Fantastic pub nearby too. The only downside was access and parking. It’s a tight space. Apart from that would thoroughly recommend.
Teasel cottage was a perfect base for our stay in Winchcombe. The cottage had everything we needed and our hosts were friendly and approachable. The local area was beautiful with lots of lovely walks and several charming pubs.
Lovely house, perfect for the size of our party (7 adults and 3 children), plenty of room for everyone and well stocked with pots and pans, crockery, glasses and cutlery. Also the welcome pack was appreciated. I had expected a microwave but there isn't one, also nowhere to put shower gel etc in the shower cubicles which means having to put it on the shower floor which isn't ideal for those of us getting on in age and the handrail on the stairs doesn't go all the way up the stairs which is also a safety issue for anyone with mobility problems. However the house is in a good location, it...more
A well appointed extended cottage with very good family accommodation including a communal kitchen and cosy lounge which worked well for eight adults and five small children. The large sunny garden, play area and especially the trampoline were popular with the children. We had a wonderful weekend.
The cottage had everything one could possibly need. The kitchen is particularly well equipped (except for the bin which had a lid which would not shut). The only negative comment is that sleeping was quite difficult in the front bedroom owing to the noise of fast moving traffic, including heavy lorries, in the street late at night and early in the morning.
Enjoyed our stay at the Rainbow Barns. The owner and family live on site and were very kind and helpful. It's a bit of a walk into Bourton on the Water and back as it's uphill. But oh so beautiful.
We couldn't be more pleased with our choice to stay at this delightful cottage deep in the Cotswolds and away from the main tourist towns. Beautifully decorated and comfortable, and access with the keysafe was easy. There is parking at the rear for one car. Hillcrest Cottage offered the real experience of staying in a Cotwolds village, with a locals pub at the Bell, walks, and the small town of Nailsworth is a short drive and has shops, cafe's etc. but also part of a circular walk. We thought Hillcrest was fantastic value for the comfort, space, and location.
Thank you for a lovely stay at Pyatt’s Pad. We felt that so much care, thought and attention had been put into ensuring a really relaxing and enjoyable stay would be had. It’s been a much needed get away. The cottage is clean and cleverly arranged (a tiny but very functional kitchen). The garden is beautiful and well maintained with gorgeous views. The bedrooms were really comfortable although you did need to mind the beams - as would be expected in a cottage this date. The sitting room was cosy and in colder months the fire place would be lovely to have on - great atmosphere. We came back af...more
We loved staying here. A lovely comfortable place with nice views right outside the front windows. Quiet village with a short drive--even a walk--to Bourton on the Water for restaurants, take-out pasties, Co-op market, etc. The 2nd-floor bedroom and bath are not to be missed. Thanks to all. We will return
Had a great time at the organic wagon. The view is great and it is in close vicinity to numerous spots to visit. The bed was in incredibly comfortable and completed the stay.
Really enjoyed our stay only downside was not being able to use the tv as it had no signal. We were notified to a problem with the en suite toilet flash before our arrival but a plumber was on site within 2 hours and had sorted it. Very good service.
Excellent holiday cottage in a good position for the cotswolds and Thames Valley. Highly recommended for dog owners and non dog owners
Our multigenerational group of 9 had a lovely stay at the house in July. It is very well equipped for a holiday stay with a fantastic kitchen, toys for the kids, bbq etc and has very comfortable beds. The garden is well maintained with plenty of space. A nice welcome basket from the host who was also in touch to check if we had any issues (which we didn’t). Very well located for visiting different areas of the Cotswolds. We would stay again.
Beautiful cottage and amazing location in the centre of Burford. Would definitely recommend to others!
Really enjoyed our stay at Brook Cottage. Very clean and cosy, nice treat the have bread, eggs, butter, milk and orange juice on arrival. Beds are extremely comfortable, now wanting a new mattress at home !! Little village is great, must visit the butchers and bakers and the George Inn garden is great with a dog. As mentioned in booking, stairs are very very steep, hand rail position is really good. Only things to point for us is only 2 outside chairs (2 were in carport but were broken) so not great for 4 adults to sit outside and enjoy the garden and sunshine. Only 1 wine glass, so we e...more
The Byre is an old property reinvented to the highest standards within an idyllic farming hamlet. It’s the old Cotswolds with a new twist and within 10 mins drive of the town of Cirencester where dining and shopping rub shoulders with Roman history.
We went for a weekend away with 8 adults and 7 children. Great house and space. Cinema room is good. Garden is lovely and spacious so we could play outside all weekend. Village has a park, two pubs and a cafe and great stocked shop. Lovely countryside walks on the door step. definitely recommend Landgate house we will be returning. Only problem we had was the bbq was unavailable and we had brought bbq food to cook.
Positives Gorgeous building and garden in beautiful location. Negatives The property was very tired. The sofas were very old and uncomfortable and the property was cold in the evening and whilst there is heating we couldn’t find any instructions on how to use it. The property inside was very grubby, dusty, dirty carpets, cobwebs and the throws on the beds were dirty. Wet washing left in the washing machine on our arrival. I would say there is parking for two cars, not three and watch your boot if you open it as ours hit the top of the garage. One of the bathrooms Leaks into the garage every...more
Overall, we had a wonderful time during our stay. The apartment has a great view looking out over the fields (but it is directly next to a main road so you hear cars constantly coming and going if you’re sitting on the terrace). The apartment itself was very large, modern and well equipped. The only negatives for us regarding the flat itself is that all the walls are paper thin (including the one separating the other apartments). I could hear very clearly the neighbours conversations word for word. The apartment also has very loud and squeaky doors that were a nightmare when trying not to wake...more
Great location for exploring the Cotswolds. Easy to find with the instructions provided, property was clean, spacious and cosy. A perfect place for a mini break away!
Booked this apartment for a stay at a family event. Lovely apartment and plenty of room for the two of us. Unfortunately it’s very close to the main road so there was traffic noise most of the night and the bed was a bit unusual so sleep was a bit hard to find. Fortunately we needed to get up early so the light coming through the window wells in the roof was not a problem. Other than that the apartment is in a good location and is well appointed. Parking is good and access to the property is good. Breakfast at the onsite Resturant was excellent.
Good size, ideal for a bigger family. Amenities ideal. Lovely bathrooms. Good garden area for families with children.
We really enjoyed our stay at Myrtle House. Lots to do for the children with two great playgrounds within walking distance and Wild Garden nearby. Thank you.
A wonderful cottage in the most beautiful of locations. Perfect cottage for a large grownup family. My only negative was the time you are able to arrive, 5 on arrival day is the latest we have ever had. And leaving at 10 am . 4 o’clock and 11 would be much better, and better value for money especially if you staying for 4 nights. But the cottage was amazing .
Great home and layout - this review can be split into 2 - the agency accepting the booking was OK - but they dont take calls on the evenings or weekends, which is disapointing as that's when I like to book my holidays. As soon as the booking was made, they couldn't offer any service, and the team it was handed over didn't pick the ball up until 2 weeks before arrival, so if I wanted to know the type of coffee machine 3 weeks before arrival, I was out of luck! I would rather the people taking the booking also managed the property - that way 1 company has responsibility for the entire proc...more
This was our third visit - the second this year. I think that speaks volumes by itself. If we want to be really picky, there were one or two minor shortcomings this time - some dirt underneath the settee, noticeable when we moved it, some cobwebs and dead flies on the windowsills, and a vacuum cleaner half full of dust in a wardrobe. Having spoken to the manager, I was sure that these would have been put right before the next guests arrived. This did nothing to spoil our enjoyment of Flower Barn, which was as comfortable and well laid out as usual, and only a short drive to Faringdon with Wait...more
Had a wonderful time in this beautiful cottage and surrounding farm. Lovely to wake up to beautiful patio area with flowers and surrounding fields and to see free roaming poultry and deers bouncy around. Beds very comfortable and bedding of a good quality, lovely bathroom which seems recently refurbished . Miniature toiletries in the shower and good quality bath towels. Great size smart tv and decent quest WiFi. We received a bottle of wine upon arrival which was nice. Such a lovely place but unfortunately was let down by the cleanliness of the kitchen, everywhere else was perfect. Cutlery dr...more
Lovely cottage in the heart of the village. Walking distance from shops, pubs and restaurants. Nice garden with outside seating. Parking isn't dedicated however there are a couple of tight parking spaces at the front of the property which may be available. There is also a carpark over the bridge 5 minutes away. 10 minutes drive to Hawkstone brewery (Jeremy Clarkson) 40 minutes drive to the Royal International Air Tattoo.
Wonderful cottage, which has all the amenities you need to relax in the countryside. Jacuzzi was a big hit for adults and kids, lovely and warm. Only thing to note is that there is one shower room downstairs which is very small. Throughly enjoyed our stay.
Pros Great location, plenty of space/bedrooms. Lovely play room, above a farm shop. Clean. Cons Water did stay hot for long and had to Lee heating it up with timer. Ceiling from landing to bedrooms incredibly low so only suitable for anyone 5ft9 and under. I’m 6ft and my son is 5ft 11 and we both had to duck around of the cottage. No basic amenities ie milk, sugar, tea bags to tie us over giving the timing of local shops. Stayed in other cottages and always had a welcome pack.
We had a super time at Burghfield Cottage which is ideally situated for Bourton on the Water. The cottage is spacious inside with a lovely garden outside to enjoy. Both StayCotswold and Zoe, the property owner, were most helpful and we would happily recommend their services and the cottage.
We had a lovely stay at Millers cottage in Winchcombe. We’ve stayed in a few StayCotswold cottages now and this was by far the best - very comfortable, plenty of room, good amenities, and clean! There are a few steps up to the front door but definitely manageable - we had a pram and were ok lifting it in and out. I like that there is dedicated parking too very close by.
Lovely little cottage in nice location. Arrived and cottage locked and we had to contact owner who came with key. We never saw her again. Overall comfortable cottage but lots small details were in our view not up to standard. Miss matched towels and rough. No overhead lights in bedroom. No heated towel rail so damp towels for three days. Dirty roast pans in grill and oven. No small plates in kitchen. No tea towels. No instructions for induction hob or tv controls. All in all small details do make a stay much more enjoyable. We have stayed in many similar properties over the years and...more
We had a fab time at Elm Barn. It was well kitted out and perfect for our family week away. The grounds were lovely. Only downside is that it said it was walking distance to the local pub but this would have been on busy main roads so not ideal with small children.
It was a very comfortable stay and suitable for young families. The location was also very good. Our family enjoyed the pool table.
The information provided after booking and prior to arrival was excellent and extremely helpful. The Mill is an excellent location for exploring the Cotswolds, with lots to do and see nearby. The property is clean and well maintained. An excellent stay and would definitely use it again if we visited the Cotswolds again.
We had a great time at Winterberry cottage. The start was awful, though! We’d driven to Barnsley through heavy rain, on roads we didn’t know and on arrival found wine, tea and coffee but no milk! The nearest shop is an esso garage near to Cirencester so we had to go without a hot drink until the following day. Shame, as this consideration would have meant so much to us, especially as the three nights there were very expensive. However, the cottage was really lovely. Roomy and comfortable and the location is great for many Cotswolds highlights such as Bourton on the water, Bibury, where we cau...more
On arrival the much mentioned Kevin seemed a little curt, maybe put out as we arrived maybe 15 mins after our scheduled plan due to sat nav issues and location of cottage. He briefly showed us the ground floor and mentioned that there was some milk in the fridge and "oh by the way they've left you a packet of biscuits" we assumed this constituted a welcome pack, he never ventured upstairs whilst there. Only when he'd left us and we took our luggage up to the bedroom did we discover the potential reason for Kevins lack of welcome! The master bedroom had approx 14 wood louse on the floor and the...more
We had a great few days in this very nice part of the country. Very traditional feel to this wonderful little cottage with a church and pub just up the road with so much to do in the surrounding areas. Blenheim Palace is a must when visiting.
This is our second stay at Grey gables barn with our family. It is a lovely spacious property in a perfect location, with the centre of the village only a five minute walk away. The property is tastefully decorated and has all the facilities and comforts you would enjoy in your own home. It is situated in a quiet peaceful residential area, away from the busy village. Parking is great offering a private drive, with space enough for four cars. The only thing that could do with some attention are the blinds around the property, which are in poor repair in some of the rooms. The Wi-Fi is quite slow ...more
Bunt barn is a stunning place to stay in a great location. Lovely little pub (Fox Inn) is cracking for food and is literally 200 yards away. Broadwell itself. is a very quiet hamlet/village and offers a much quieter place to stay than the very busy Stow on the Wold, and a one mile walk, up hill away. The only thing I would suggest is that Bumt Barn supply a BBQ and possibly some Sun loungers, this is not a criticism, we loved our stay and would return in a heart beat.
The house was in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds and a good size for 2 adults and 2 kids. Quiet street and good to have easy parking. The downstairs flooring could do with re-doing and the kitchen too. There was a dead squashed fly on the wall from previous guests I assume, which hadn’t been cleaned. It was good for the price and would recommend to anyone on a tight budget who wants easy access to nice walks and the beauty of the Cotswolds.
The cottage is in an excellent location right in the heart of the pretty village. Very clean and cosy but one or two things are missing....no clothes hangers or a clothes horse for wet washing! We would also have appreciated a little more flexibility for the departure time...you are not allowed to arrive before 1700 but have to leave at 1000. Does it take seven hours to do a changeover for a small cottage? But all in all we really enjoyed our stay.
Excellent place. Very clean and comfortable, quaint and pretty. Fully stocked kitchen. Loved the little library and games and books that provided us with entertainment.
Certainly the bees knees! Fab, quaint and homely cottage. Everything you need is in cottage. Lovely walk to riverside.Thank you for the extra 'goodies", made us feel very welcome.
Tythe cottage was beautiful Lovely quiet village location with a great pub and farm shop Would happily stay again
The house was really comfortable for our family (me + husband, 3 yo, 5 yo, grandma + grandpa). It was spacious, the kitchen was organized well and the garden is beautiful (though watch out for the nettles and thistles!) The town is exactly what you'd hope for in the Cotswolds, and great proximity to Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, and more. Our main complain is that we were surprised that it was missing some basics, like there was no shampoo/conditioner, one roll of TP per bathroom, and one roll of paper towels.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the cottage, but we thought the cottage was a little ‘tired’! It could do with a little attention and a good clean. Generally the cleanliness was ok but could have been better. The back garden was very unkept, in need of attention. One evening we did get chance to sit out on the sun but weeds screamed at us to tidy them up, which we ended up doing. The cottage is in a great location for touring Broadway (just about walking distance) and the surrounding area.
Wren Cottage is conveniently located in lovely Stow and easily walkable to enjoy all the shops and restaurants. Parking available which is great. The main road outside was loud at night for some of our group but overall not too much of an issue. The kitchen is newly renovated and very functional. Whilst small, the house is cosy and well looked after. There’s loads to do in the area as well! Thank you!
Nicely located cottage in one of my favorite Cotswolds village. Easy access to pubs, restaurants and shopping . Great base to explore the area. All the modern conveniences combined with historical charm.
We loved out stay at manor cottage. The house was fantastic for our 2 young kids, especially the garden. They had everything we needed for our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay in Wendle Cottage. We managed to park for free directly outside the cottage each day. The kitchen is beautifully appointed with quality gadgets, glasses, crockery and cutlery and is great for in-house dining. Despite the chilly weather, the cottage was warm and we did not need to use the log burner in the sitting room. The spiral staircase to the first and second floors is very steep and great care is needed when going up and down but the hand rail/rope and poles give a measure of confidence. Both bathrooms are adequate, although we would have liked ...more
The cottage has a lot of character, but not sure it fits with the description of “luxury cottage” as it says on the website. It needs a bit of TLC and a good in-depth cleaning. The house was full of cobwebs and spiders, and they were big and thick cobwebs, that had been there for weeks. The cushions available for the garden chairs were in the kitchen and in a very poor state, some of them ripped. The kitchen floor wasn’t clean at all and it was sticky. The kitchen utensils and cutlery were dirty and greasy, I presume the previous occupants didn’t clean very well but this is not something you e...more
Overall the cottage was lovely. Bed very comfortable. What let it down was paint peeled off wall by stairs, outside seeting area not swept with weeds growing, cobwebs on window frame in living room, dirty behind setee, tray and basin on floor in kitchen dirty. Can be easily rectified.
The cottage is roomy and has all the essentials. I liked that two separate sitting areas were available. The location is great with local shops, pubs and restaurants all just a few steps away, as well as being well placed for exploring the Cotswolds. The downsides to the cottage are that the furnishings are very tired, eg, the sofas are stained, concealed with throws, grubby carpet stains. The baby high chair was very grubby, so much we didn’t use it. There’s a great sitting area outside but unusable as the garden is so overgrown. The cottage could easily have been great but I felt the owner n...more
Was a nice size cottage to accommodate a family and was well set up for beds and items needed for children.
It was a lovely stay and a perfect and peaceful and recommend this property but beware of the low slope to the ceiling apart from that it was great lovely surrounding areas
Very charming cottage in a great location with all amenities you’d need. Would definitely recommend. Welcome bits much appreciated
Arrival was a bit fraught. Instructions tell you that the arrival point is the garage but there's nothing to identify the garage doors as belonging to the cottage and we're not really familiar with using "Just Three Words". Getting into the garage which is right on a very busy road involves a very tricky manoeuvre. We found the keys to the house door but couldn't open it. Eventually we rang a contact number who said that the door was probably already open. We had been locking an unlocked door. We were a bit stressed by now but wanted to put our food away before having a relaxing drink. ...more
This is a quaint cottage and we had an enjoyable few days there. It is some way out of Bourton which we didn’t mind but it’s a steep hill to walk in and out for those who may have mobility issues. The view is lovely and it was very peaceful. The cottage itself has charm and character. The stairs are very steep (and creaky as is the whole cottage!) but this was advertised and didn’t bother us. The biggest issue with this cottage is a lack of comfort. The beds are creaky, the mattresses lumpy and the pillows were very flat. We slept in the top bedroom and our daughter in the second bed...more
We had a lovely stay in the warm and cosy Lammas cottage. It was a great location to enjoy a walk from the start of the Cotswolds Way at the nearby village of Chipping Campden, plus a visit to the picturesque Broadway Tower. The cottage itself was comfortable, had a well equipped kitchen and lots of character. The bedrooms are certainly a bit tight, but that was all part of the charm of the place, and the beds are comfy. Can definitely recommend The Great Western Arms pub for good food and very friendly service just a few minutes stroll from the cottage. We had a minor issue with a CO detecto...more
Compact and comfortable with most things you needed for a short break. It is on a busy road but fairly quiet overnight. Fridge rather small if you plan to cook. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Car parking not ideal - short distance but steep incline back to property. House instructions are on QR Code - I didn’t find there was enough detail. Need information on TV set up. Only real problem I had was the washing machine wasn’t working. I did report this.
Stay Cotswolds were very good but the owner of Dovecote Cottage was rude and patronising. No electrics in downstairs bedrooms and heating not working so very little sleep - ow was reaction was to tell us we were free to go home or move to another property where we would need to strip the beds and remake them! Would not stay here again but would rebook elsewhere with Stay Cotswold
Firstly the cottage is very nice it has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. The village is very nice and has The Swan pub and Thyme within minutes. However the cleanliness of the cottage let our experice down it was terrible, dirty toilet with broken toilet seat, hair and spillages inside the fridge, dirty kitchen drawers, fingerprints everywhere on cupboards, kettle, toaster, old food at the side of the oven, unsightly food and spiilages in broken freezer tray. Broken blind, missing tv remotes, stained carpets and scuffed walls and a terrible smell from the basement bathroom drai...more
