This was a perfect place to stay! Aurora was perfectly spacious and extremely comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The outside space was a real bonus with the BBQ, fire pit and loungers etc. with easy access to the Thames path and a local pub! We really enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend Aurora as a great place to stay as you will not be disappointed,
We had a lovely family gathering at Honeysuckle House. The house felt like a real home and had everything you need. It’s in a great location with lots of attractions within easy reach. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent property for our extended family. My parents loved the annex and so easy for them being all on one level. We all felt comfortable and at home. Ideal location for visiting the surrounding area. Well equipped property and helpful owners Would definitely recommend
A slight issue on arrival but this was handled in a professional speedy manner by Chris. An ideal apartment for 2 people with everything we needed. Tasteful decor and spotlessly clean. We had the best 3 days in the beautiful village of Stow on the Wold. Free parking and 5 minutes stroll to the village square. An array of bars, restaurants and shops await. We will definitely return.
Lovely accommodation in a fantastic location. The barn was perfect for a couple, everything we needed was provided and of very good quality and was in the he grounds of the owners property. We found it very private and only saw the owners on our arrival. We appreciated the provisions they left for us, including beer from the local brewery. The nearest pub and well stocked general store were only 2 minutes walk away (and another 2 pubs within a mile). We wouldn’t hesitate to book this accommodation again.
Stay Cotswold are a great company to deal with. They appreciate and deliver traditional Customer Service taking personal responsibility for making things happen. Heather was a delight to have looking after our booking. Seymour House is a true delight, with a great host who was extremely welcoming and always responsive to any requests throughout our stay. The new facilities are perfect for a larger group. The grounds are well maintained and well worth exploring. The location is secluded and there very peaceful yet close enough to local facilities and many places worth a visit within a 30 minu...more
We have had a fantastic week at Nursery House (my sisters and our partners) The walks were great and the local pub The Fox served great meals. The Slaughters, Bourton on the Water and Stow were really pretty and had some lovely walks from there too. It would have been helpful to have an information pack in the cottage but the caretaker Richard was at the end of the phone and very helpful.
The house was absolutely beautiful and catered for all our needs. It was large enough for 12 of us. The tasteful decor was amazing. The location was peaceful with lovely country walks on your doorstep. Can't wait to book again.
We had a brilliant time. The garden and outdoor space was beyond our expectations and really made the holiday for us. Our puppy loved it and could run around happily. We couldn’t ask for more and we hope to return soon!!
We had one week at this beautiful cottage and enjoyed every moment. The house is appointed with the most luxurious furnishings, to the linens & towels, beds & pillows, wonderful kitchen… we couldn’t have asked for more. Immaculately clean and everything felt brand new. The location is absolute perfection, a real center point for all of the beautiful little countryside villages. Do yourself a favour and book in ASAP!
We highly recommend Slade Stables as a base for touring the Cotswolds. Jane met us on arrival to welcome us and show us around. The accommodation is furnished to a very high standard with everything we needed and is in a beautiful setting overlooking the countryside. We were ideally located within easy reach by car of many beautiful Cotswold towns and villages. Jane recommended walks and places to visit. The welcome pack was a lovely additional touch.
Would highly recommend this cottage , in a beautiful location. The hosts were were helpful along with the notes they provide about places to visit and eat. There is nothing we could fault and hopefully will get the opportunity to visit again.
Beautiful cottage, v clean with lovely furnishings. Everything you could want in a great location. 5 mins walk into lovely town or beautiful countryside. Our dog enjoyed his holiday there too.
We had a very nice and relaxing stay in Shaven Cottage which was beautiful and also wonderfully clean and warm and cosy. Driveway is a little bit tight but fine once you're in! Good location and close to a super pub. Thanks for all help and assistance.
The accommodation was fine a short break it was all we required Comment for improvements are that the outdoor furniture is very tired and requires attention.
This holiday cottage for two exceeded all our expectations. The overall quality of the furnishings was outstanding and provided a real home from home. The owners were very welcoming and provided lots of added treats which we have not found in other rental properties, the bathroom is superb and the quality of the linen is excellent. It would be hard to beat this accommodation and we would definitely return if we were visiting this lovely area.
Please don't stay here. Otherwise it may not be available for me! Just the most stunning house and location. The Stay Cotswold team, the owner and the house keeper were fantastic throughout. One of our best staycations ever. Will definitely rebook.
Brook cottage was a lovely place. The cleanliness was super, the cottage super cute, we loved the location, close to oxford, close to blenheim palace and close to cotswold in all its greatness. We saw foxes, deer, rabbits and squirrels. We made lovely walks with the dogs to the Thames through fields and meadows... A good mirror in the bedroom would be nice, so lady’s can check there outfit before mr. Darcy comes for a cup of tea..
Fantastic location, tucked away so quiet. Comfortable accommodation with every need catered for. Parking close and convenient.
A stunning cottage in an equally stunning location. Beautifully decorated to a very high standard. Absolutely pristine. Very high standard of cleanliness. Lovely garden.Very well equipped. Friendly owners and neighbours and a very warm welcome. Highly recommended!
Vespers is a really great place to stay with everything you need. The decoration and layout is perfect, the treats left by the hosts were so appreciated too and made you feel at home. It's in a great location and we loved being able to walk to the nearby pub and explore the countryside. The lorry by the river is a really cool idea and we enjoyed a change of scenery with some games and drinks by the firepit. We had a great time and it was made even more special by the fact we got engaged! We'll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone- thank you.
We had a wonderful stay. The views from High Barn are stunning. The rooms are all good sizes and both barns are well equipped. The strawberries and wine in the fridge were a welcome touch, along with a few other provisions. Our Grandchildren loved the large garden and the available football field complete with goal posts. We were also able to do some paddle boarding on the river, my son had bought his board but there were also some available. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return.
This was the perfect venue to celebrate a 60th Birthday with family. Accomodation was immaculate and spacious. Everything we needed was provided on site. The party room was perfect for our event and the huge paddock area was ideal for the children. We booked the whole venue and had the most fantastic time.
We booked a weekend away for a family reunion and the farm house was perfect. The Owner was so helpful and lots of little extras included and view stunning!!Highly recommend!!A weekend of luxury!!
We had a really enjoyable week at the Brewery which was very spacious and incredibly well appointed. The location was perfect, with plenty of good options to eat in very close proximity. Burford itself was also a fantastic place to stay and we were easily able to visit other local towns and villages from this base. We particularly enjoyed a day trip to Cheltenham. We would love to stay again!
Beautiful and comfy rooms. Decor is lovely, very modern. Lovely surroundings and perfect location. Customer service is amazing also, thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back.
Lovely, spacious apartment in a good location in bustling Burford. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. Located above a high street shop but set a little back from the front the only down side was constant traffic noise in the master bedroom.
We had a brilliant week at Tadmarton Grange Cottage. It was the perfect home away from home, with everything we needed. I would definitely recommend.
We had a lovely weekend stay at Rose Tree Cottage to celebrate some milestone birthdays in our family. It was the perfect venue for our party which included toddlers and seniors too. The owners have created a lovely holiday home and it was well thought out, clean, comfortable and the garden is really lovely. We look forward to a return visit.
We stayed in The Barn. The accommodation is very spacious and is extremely well appointed and equipped. We arrived after a long flight from South Africa and were very pleased to see all the necessary little things like coffee, tea salt and pepper, dishwasher tablets, surface cleaner etc. The place is spotless, the beds large and comfortable and the towels are white and fluffy. The setting is beautiful and peaceful with a large lawned area outside where our grand-children enjoyed kicking a ball etc. Close by there is a co-op in Stanford-in-the-Vale and approximately 10mins away in Faringdon ...more
A lovely house which easily accommodated three families next to a local pub in this picturesque village. Although there was modest outdoor space the immediate walks and countryside more than adequately compensated.
We had a lovely stay in the Old Brewery House, perfect for 4 couples plenty of space. The kitchen was very well equipped and we made good use of it cooking a celebratory birthday dinner. Our contact Andy was very helpful and informative about the property and we all agreed that we would not hesitate to stay there again. StayCotswolds were excellent, as we had to change the date of our original booking due to the COVID restrictions, so a thank you to them for a seamless transfer.
Booked Prince and Punch Barns for a group of 10. Both Barns were well equipped and served as an excellent base for day trips to Oxford and Blenheim Palace. Great for a relaxing, lazy break
Very stylish, comfortable apartment - lovely walks from the doorstep too. This apartment is in an excellent location for visiting the beautiful Cotswolds.
Last minute booking. Lovely hosts and lovely place - dog friendly and clean. We’ll kitted kitchen. Had a lovely time.
Our extended family and friends enjoyed this well presented house. The rural location was perfect and the large secluded garden was perfect for the little ones to get rid of energy safely. With every bedroom having its own en-suite is considered a luxery that most properies cannot claim. Our contact Andy, was quick to answer any queries we had, even bringing the charcoal for the barbecue when we needed it. Its rural location hides the fact that it is very near to the Cotswold wildlife park, Stow on the Wold and many other picturesque villages close by. We had the family with us for three ...more
Heron Barn was perfect for our annual get-together and we'd love to return. The living and dining areas are so cosy and beautifully decorated and the kitchen is well equipped and large enough for lots of people to prepare food together. The bedrooms are very comfortable with crisp white bedding and thick duvets - if anything, they were too warm and we only realised at the end of the weekend that we could have removed one layer. We enjoyed long, leisurely breakfasts outside in the delightful courtyard and were thrilled to spot hummingbird hawkmoths on the verbena flowers. There are lovely w...more
Very spacious property. Great location. Was really well cleaned and had everything you needed. Have already booked for next year.
The house was so well cared for and immaculate. We could relax as soon as we entered the house. Thoroughly enjoyed the games room and hot tub. Location is beautiful for walks, visiting and bike riding. Had a wonderful 3 generation family break.
Great location with the Thames a couple of minutes walk away and pretty countryside views. Comfortable cottage with all the amenities, everything was high spec.
Peaceful, secluded cottage but easy to access trips out xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxcccccccccccXxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxccccccccxxxxxxxcccccccc
Beautiful house surrounded by fields. Perfect if you want to get away from it all but at the same time be only a short drive to some of the best The Cotswolds has to offer (Burford, Witney, Cirencester). House is very well equipped. If I was being picky, I would say that the house would benefit from a proper patio area with chairs (there are tables with benches but they are just on the grass) and some better quality pillows in the main bedroom. There’s no DVD player, but there is a smart TV. Like all loft bedrooms, on warmer days, the upstairs bedrooms can be quite warm and whilst there are f...more
Myself and my wife stayed here with our elderly dog in October 2021. This is a brilliant property, superbly converted to a high standard and in a location which is fantastic for all the local high street, shops and social scene. We used the hot tub a few times which was fun and it was great to have an enclosed secure space for both the car and the dog. Our only suggestion for improvement is to divide the very large “lounge” into two separate spaces, a TV “snug” and a social area for friends/drinks. Not a big deal but the area isn’t very cosy currently. Overall, we loved it and will return ...more
We were in the middle of a difficult house sale and completion dates kept changing. We booked Fairfield cottage not only because it was very convenient but because Stay Cotswold have by far the most customer friendly booking system. We had to change dates twice but thanks to the help and cooperation of Stay Cotswold and Jaime Gould in particular , we were able to do this secure in the knowledge that we will get a full refund (minus booking fee) for the cancelled dates. This is in sharp contrast to other booking agents. I would be happy to recommend this company and would certainly use them a...more
We had an enjoyable stay at this well appointed barn conversion, it is well equipped and comfortable, the garden is lovely and improved from previous years and the outside furniture and large table are very convenient.
Would thoroughly recommend both this property and the Costwolds. Paxford is an idyllic village. Benson Cottage met all our expectations - and more! Clean and comfortable with many facilities, our party had a great stay!
This is a lovely property. We had a couple of issues, most notable was the dog hair. It was on the bedding, carpets etc. The property had obviously been cleaned, but if you are going to allow dogs then you have to clean better than that. I like dogs, I don't want to sleep in other peoples dog's hair. Also, I had requested twin beds for the children and their bed was made up as a double. I managed to split them myself and just about find anough bedding to do the first night. Oh, and there was no washing up liquid or dish cloths, the kind of things that you would expect to just be there. Havi...more
Everything was clean and comfortable, and the location was really quiet. Well equipped kitchen, and everything as it said it would be. However, we were unhappy with the television, which was advertised as a Smart TV, but it was not made clear in the information that you had to have a BBC iplayer account and an ITV account, and a means of signing into those accounts on another device before you could watch any TV. We were not able to watch live ITV at all whilst we were there, only BBC, and old programmes on hub ITV. We contacted the owner, and he said you needed to log on via a browser, which ...more
Only drawback was a fan noise that was very loud at night, particularly in twin bedded room. Sounded like a mighty storm enough to keep occupants awake. We couldn’t find out what or where it came from. Otherwise all good.
Colin was a great cottage for exploring the cotswolds, it was comfortable and had a great kitchen setup with everything needed. Finding parking was difficult, Burford is a busy town so spaces were often full and parking near cottage is either parallel or on a hill. It is all free however which was good. The bed and furniture were comfortable and overall I had a great solo trip away.
We had an enjoyable stay at this property. It’s in the centre of the town but the setting is quiet and peaceful. The property is well equipped and very comfortable.
Wendle Cottage is a lovely cottage in a good location to get to other villages in the Cotwolds. The cottage is great for adults, little kids and older people might struggle with the stairs. Parking is also quite tight for larger cars but there is a Market car park just round the corner, 2 minutes away and very reasonably priced. We had a great stay here.
We had a wonderful family stay at Upton Downs. The house is spacious and very comfortable and having the farm shop and smokery next door was great. The garden is huge and the toddlers loved running around and picking apples. There were a few essential things missing: no towel rails or toilet roll holders in any of the bathrooms. No large bowls for salad or pasta and no salad spinner. Having these would have made our stay even better.
We had a lovely stay in the delightful Flower Barn. A welcome pack was provided which was much appreciated. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and in a peaceful location. I would highly recommend Goodlake Barns.
Very comfortable, well appointed barn conversion in a nature reserve near the Thames path. The outdoor area around the barn is superb with plenty of space for children to run and a tyre swing. It also has a barbecue (you need to get charcoal) and comfortable outdoor furniture With lovely view over the meadows. It is in the middle of nowhere so you need to be prepared fo drive on single track roads with minimal passing spaces. There are great pubs nearby. A few specific comments for the owner/manager: The fridge handle needs fixing. It is very difficult to open. The showers get slippery...more
A great weekend away in a lovely secluded location with a beautiful view! Plenty of parking, and great garden space!
The cottage was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The location was good as it is near most local attractions.
Cottage was in a fabulous location close to Cirencester and Bath. Excellent facilities in the cottage everything you need for a comfortable stay xxxx
We’ll equipped cottage in great location for exploring the Cotswolds. Very comfortable bed. Sofa, as noted by other guests, is very uncomfortable - our only criticism.
Found difficulty in locating the property as the name Maize was not displayed. We were disappointed with the kitchen facilities for self catering, would have been better with a hob and pans for cooking full meals rather than just a microwave oven. insufficient cooking utensils, peelers, large jugs, draining spoons, boards etc. Coffee pot and teapot only suitable for one cup not for two people. No towel rails in bathroom and no heating there so towels don't dry.
Beautiful Cottage in a wonderful location but having necessary amenities nearby - shop, pubs. Area great for walks and for discovering the Cotswolds
The bedrooms were excellent, although the bed in the smaller double room was slightly too small. The stairs are a challenge for both old and young folks, so need some care when using. The only shower is located within the kitchen, which meant a daily queue and lacked a little privacy. The garden was in a poor state and the path to the larger part of the garden not particularly child or pet friendly, with overhanging branches and too easy access to the neighbour's garden. Both garden spaces could use some TLC. The location and village is wonderful, with a friendly & convenient local shop a...more
Meadow cottage was a conveniently located cottage tucked away down a quiet country lane. We stayed for 7 nights and it was for 2 adults, a 3 year old and a dog. Although the cottage can sleep six we would say it would be “cozy” if fully occupied mainly because there was only one bathroom but for us this was fine. The main points we would make to improve the experience would be as follows:- 1. A microwave in the kitchen would have made our lives a lot easier having a toddler 2. The down light led lighting was constantly flickering to the extent we have to turn off. 3. A comment on ano...more
Great place to explore the Cotswolds. The house is very well depicted in the photos and the garden is really nice. Only issues were that some of the light bulbs could do with being changed and there is a small leak in the conservatory roof when it rains hard
