We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Old Dairy, the house was very comfortable and everything we could possibly need was provided. The garden was great for our Springer Spaniel and we had no worry that he would escape! The house was exceptionally cosy and warm, we loved the kitchen.
The village was amazing, so quiet and beautiful, we loved the walk behind the church. We also enjoyed a meal at The Mount pub where we were made most welcome with our dog.

We fortunately found The Dairy after being let down by another holiday provider. What a great result, the location and house are simply superb. Easy checkin. Great facilities exceptionally maintained. There was really helpful information available re local walks which we enjoyed as did the dog.

As it was an Easter stay thought it was very good value.

Would definitely recommend to anybody wanting a Cotswolds break. Now don’t all rush to book as we need to rebook as we will be back

Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, Stanton proved to be an exquisite haven for a weekend getaway. From its quaint charm to its breathtaking landscapes, every moment spent in this picturesque village was a delightful experience.

Upon arrival, we were immediately captivated by Stanton's timeless beauty. The traditional limestone cottages adorned with colourful blooms created a postcard-perfect scene that felt like stepping into a storybook. The tranquility of the surroundings was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The local pub - The Mount Inn was very welcoming, food and service were delightful.


Our accommodation, a cosy yet very spacious cottage tucked away in the village, exceeded all expectations. The charming decor added to the allure of our stay. Waking up to the gentle chirping of birds and the soft sunlight streaming through the window was a serene way to start each day.

Venturing beyond the village, we discovered the breathtaking countryside that the Cotswolds are renowned for. Picturesque walking trails led us through rolling hills, lush meadows, and tranquil woodlands, offering endless opportunities to soak in the beauty of nature. One highlight was a leisurely stroll to nearby Broadway Tower, where we were rewarded with panoramic views stretching as far as the eye could see.

Overall, our weekend break in Stanton was nothing short of magical. Whether you're seeking a romantic retreat, a tranquil getaway, or simply a chance to reconnect with nature, this charming village in the Cotswolds has it all. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already dreaming of our next visit to this hidden gem.

The Old Dairy is even prettier than it's photos. Well appointed, perfect garden for sun and our dog. A very comfortable well equipped cottage with undulating floors and great shower. Watching the sun set from the bath was an added bonus. The pub in Stanton is excellent. It's worth the stroll up the hill to The Mount for food.
A lovely few days with friends in a great location.

Lovely cottage couldn’t fault it , very comfortable and well equipped, if I was been over critical the TV in the main living room could do with updating to a better system as it’s not great but besides that lovely place.

The downstairs is very well equipped and comfortable but the upstairs is tired. The master bedroom is huge but the ensuite only has an old bath with handheld shower. Bedroom 2 is tiny, barely room to move around the bed. We were a party of two couples, after choosing the single beds room for more space our male friend had to use the second bedroom as he couldn't stretch out in the single bed.
The village is absolutely stunning, like a film set, the pub very friendly, please note a very steep hill to walk to it.
I would return but maybe as one couple not two.

We arrived on a cold dark evening but the cottage was lovely and warm when we entered it. We all immediately felt we were at home ,given the comfort of the property and all the lovely furnishings and touches throughout.
The kitchen was lovely and a perfect place to prepare a meal should you want to as all the cupboards contained anything you would require.
The sitting room was spacious and inviting,with comfy settees and chairs and a log burner should you want to light one,though the heating, which came on itself was perfectly adequate for us.
The village is picture postcard pretty and as it has no street lights( just lovely lanterns on houses) it was amazing the number of stars visible at night.
There is a well maintained enclosed garden at the rear if the cottage,ideal for my 2 spaniels, who also enjoyed their stay!
We hope to return to this property next year and are already looking at what dates we can go!

Very well appointed and comfortable. The cottage had a sheltered garden and was dog proof even for our very small Shi Tzu.
Stanton is a very beautiful and peaceful village.
We would consider returning for another holiday.

This is a beautiful place to stay. The house is charming and comfortable, the village is gorgeous. The kitchen is particularly wonderful, big and well equipped. There is a secluded garden for summer and a log burner for winter. We'll be back.

Beautiful house with lovely private garden. Every convenience you would need.
If we have any comments we would say the bathrooms need a little TLC, as black mould on the sealant and grouting. We did notice a leaking gutter on the rear of the house over the kitchen, which will damage the timber if left.

What a wonderful holiday in the Cotswolds, we highly recommend The Old Dairy!

The house was beautifully presented on arrival and lovely and warm. Lots of little extra touches. Village is beautiful but need to drive out to shops and activities. Could do with an overhead shower in the en-suite. Overall a lovely house and would stay again.

We really enjoyed our short break at the Old Diary in Stanton. Everything about the property for us was perfect even down to the novel act of putting my car away for the duration of the stay inside the spacious double garage! The photos whilst inviting still don't do the 'feel' of the Old Diary justice. For busy city dwellers with stressful jobs our stay felt like a much needed 180 and renewed us physically and spiritually; in many ways it was a lot more than simply a short break, the peace and quiet the Old Diary provided gave us time for some deep reflection on our own lives, paths and goals. I can sum up the Old Diary in one word 'Idyllic'.

The old Dairy is simply a gorgeous cottage set in a gourgeous little pretty street of the little pretty Stanton.
It really is a Dream Cottage and you will never want to leave. So cousy, confortable and neat.
The fireplace, the christmasy livingroom, the huge kitchen..fantastic!
Also the kitchen is fully equipped for everything you need as everything else.
The location is also great if you want to explore the Cotsworld and its wonderful villages.

The owners have been so kind to leave the instruction for everything we would have needed (fireplace starter, garbish, garage and so on).

If we must find a little flow then it's the mainbedroom's bed: really really to small for two people.
Anyway there are 2 more bedrooms if the room in the bed doesn't allow you to rest properly.
Beside that everything was just amazing and we would really love to come back!

The house is beautiful, I’ve never seen such a fully equipped kitchen in a rental property and you won’t want for anything here. It’s a very spacious well thought out home and the garden is fully enclosed so perfect for travelling with a dog.
The only issue we had - though sadly one that marred our weekend and would stop us returning - was parking.
It’s advertised as parking for 2 cars. The email with the instructions you receive the week before then says parking for 2 ‘medium’ sized cars and if they don’t fit in the garage then there is plenty of on street parking or a free car park nearby.
Neither of our cars fit in the garage, there wasn’t room on the street and the ‘car park’ is a section of field in front of the village hall (which fills up in the daytime). Arriving on a Friday evening there is no outside lighting and the car park - albeit is a 4/5 minute walk - that’s down a country lane with no lights or pavement. We managed to get one in the car park and the other left us with an altercation with a neighbour who told us that technically we were on their land (but didn’t need us to move as we weren’t causing an obstruction and they were going away anyway). With a 10 month old baby this just made things difficult and uncomfortable and sadly tainted our weekend.

We loved our stay at this gorgeous cottage.
The location was perfect for us to visit our favourite places. The village is second to none !
The cottage has everything you need & Jo is on hand if you have any problems.
I would say a few things need updating particularly the bed linen but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
We have booked again for next year & look forward to it very much .

Everything about this property impressed. It is situated in a lovely peaceful village with little passing traffic. The instructions for entry were simple and clear and when we got in, the Old Dairy was really beautifully furnished and equipped. It was warm and welcoming, spacious and comfortable, and furnished in impeccable taste. .
The living room had comfortable sofas and plentiful seating, with a log fire which we didn’t need to light as the whole property was warm and cosy. We found everything we could have possibly needed in the kitchen, again with lots of seating and a view out into the garden. Everywhere was really clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were well designed and there was constant and plentiful hot water.
We were out most days, but we were really pleased to get back to this beautiful and comfortable property. All in all, we were really delighted with our stay.

This was our second stay and it really is a beautiful house in a lovely quiet village which we love. Great meal in the local pub.
I would agree with previous reviews regarding the front door lock/key. It was not easy to lock the door from outside. The rear of the fridge/freezer needs a bit of a clean and I was a bit disappointed that the log burner was unavailable to use even tho it is the middle/late October. However I will certainly return as I just live the house.
