We've just enjoyed a lovely stay at Castaway. One of the most enviable positions on the site with a wonderful spacious patio and view. Chalet is comfortable and light with good facilities. Smart TV and WiFi included. The heating was very welcome for the time of year. Would definitely stay again.

Spent a relaxing week at Castaway. Very comfortable and everything you could need was available. Visited lots of places during the week and it was always lovely to come back and look out at the beautiful view..Would have no hesitation in booking again...in fact I have booked again. Thoroughly recommend.

The second time we have stayed here, really well equipped and lovely setting overlooking the river. Very easy and professional booking process. Will be returning again next year.

We’ve stayed in Castaway several times and love the bungalow, its location and the lovely views. It’s always spotless and has everything we need for a relaxing break in an area that affords the opportunity to do as much or as little as you like when visiting. The communication from Coast Holiday Homes is excellent and I’d highly recommend them.

A superb bungalow, kept in tip top condition. Feels like home from home. Lots of extras to make your stay so special. Lovely setting overlooking the River Dart. We love it!

Very nicely furnished, warm and cosy property. The Dart river view was completely obscured by trees on the adjacent caravan site even in late October which was unfortunate but not the owners fault. We appreciated the proper light bulbs, no 40w low energy roaming in the gloaming which you often find in holiday cottages - thank you. Our only complaint would be that the DVD player on the TV was faulty so we couldn't watch films in the evening, which was disapointing. Also the mixer tap in the bathroom was very difficult to operate without soaking everybody and everything. Nerertheless overall a very nice holiday cottage which we would recommend.

Hi Mr Shirley! Many thanks for your review, we are delighted that you felt you had a 5* stay at Castaway! Thank you for your feedback on the couple of areas you found not up to standard - unfortunately, we were not aware the DVD player wasn't working but we are pleased to report a brand new TV with DVD player is now being installed, thank you for letting us know. We are also pleased to confirm that the hedges have been trimmed back, fully exposing that wonderful river view, I'm afraid this is out of our control but generally, the hedges are kept well trimmed year round and it is unusual for them to have obscured the view - I am sorry this wasn't the case for your visit. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay overall and we do hope we can welcome you back to stay at Castaway soon...please also remember, we are based in the village, so should you find anything not working during your stay in the future, please do not hesitate to give us a call and we can pop up to provide you with a replacement. We very much enjoyed our stay at Castaway. The bungalow was well equipped and the the recliner chairs were really welcome. The views of the river were lovely from the decking. Very much enjoyed visiting Berry head hotel for meals out which is just a stones throw and The Manor pub in the village. All in all a good holiday.
