Welcome to Kilchuimen, a newly-built, luxury four-bedroomed house overlooking the southern end of Loch Ness.
Completed in September 2019 the property, which sleeps up to eight people, has been created with you in mind and is beautifully decorated and furnished throughout, borrowing colours and textures from the Scottish Highlands which surrounds the house and grounds.
Just a short walk from the bustling and historic village of Fort Augustus, Kilchuimen is a picture-perfect substantial country cottage, ideally located to take advantage of the glorious Scottish landscape and the many activities nearby.
Kilchuimen is situated on Glendoe Estate, a traditional working Scottish estate which has been in the Vernon family for over 50 years.
A warm Highland welcome awaits you on the banks of Loch Ness.

The house is so welcoming with all that you could require for a relaxing family holiday. The view is spectacular and forever changing. Location is ideal for walking and accessing other great places. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend.

What a beautiful house in an absolutely stunning location. Group of girls, 7 in all, meeting up for our yearly catch up, coming from different areas. Not far to walk into town, just perfect. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Kilchuimen House, very comfortable accommodation with stunning views of Loch Ness and the surrounding countryside. Fort Augustus and it's amenities is a five minute walk from the property and there are lots of beautiful places to visit nearby. Kilchuimen House is well equipped and cosy.

We were very comfortable at Kilchiumen House and delighted with the location and view. It was peaceful and well equipped. Thank you for the honemade welcome scones which were absolutely delicious!

This house was perfect for my family and I. It was immaculate, great value, perfect location with the most stunning views that you would never get tired of. We would all highly recommend it and would 100% stay here again for sure. We loved it so much!!!!

We were 3 couples who spent a week in Kilchuimen House. The house was just fantastic, the support from Katie and her team always exemplary.
We found everything in perfect condition and when the WIFI didn't work, it was fixed as quick as possible.
The house has everything you need: great views, all the amenities you want and the daily visits from the deer, rabbits, pheasants, ... were a special bonus.
We can only recommend the house and will certainly come back again.

We stayed 3 days the beginning of June. Kilchuimen House was wonderful. It was ideally located to explore the Highlands and the view of Loch Ness would be hard to beat. We would highly recommend Kilchuimen House and would stay there again the next chance we have to visit!

We had a very enjoyable weeks holiday at Kilchuimen House. It is a lovely property and very comfortable and the views of the Loch are to die for. Would definitely love to return at some time in the future.

Absolutely gorgeous house in an amazing location. The views are to die for! We loved our week here, lots of great places to explore and lovely walks from the doorstep. Our dog loved the huge garden, we all loved the house and hope to return one day. Katie is helpful and friendly, she responded quickly to our queries and made sure we had everything we needed at the house with a lovely welcome gift too.

We stayed here for a week over the Easter holidays with a 10 year old, 2 year old and 4 adults. The property is gorgeous and has everything you need. The location is perfect, and is a lovely 5 minute walk into Fort Augustus. It is only a 45 minute drive to Fort William and roughly 50 minutes to Inverness, so it is a great location. The views from the property are outstanding and there's a lovely green over the road where you can walk and play with kids etc. There are stunning walks on your doorstep up into the mountains opposite the property. The only downside is there are no stairgates for younger kids, making it very dangerous on the hard wooden stairs. This isn't ideal considering the property is for families. We took our own stair gates, but the stairs are too broad for a standard one. I would strongly suggest the owners add stairgates as this is a massive problem. They do however provide a high chair and travel cot. Other than that, we had a wonderful time and will be returning if they sort the safety issue on the stairs. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Our second stay at the house once again didn’t disappoint, from the ease of booking and excellent customer service to the perfect house which can cater for everyone’s needs.
Our visit to the area in winter was great, no midges, empty roads, quiet walking yet everything we needed was still open in the village such as pub, shop and restaurants.
Cannot wait to visit again and can’t recommend it enough. Best house we’ve stayed at.

We arrived to a wonderfully clean, modern, well presented house. It was warm welcoming and cosy. The Christmas tree was magical opposite the wood fire.
Everything you can think of has been catered for

All the bedrooms are immaculate and well presented
Each bathroom is immaculate and all come stocked with the “Highland Soap” brand.

The views are breathtaking as this is the headland to Loch Ness, amazing location with an extremely friendly local village (St Augustus) which was 1 minute by car and 5 walking.

In the opposite direction is Ben Nevis which can be seen from Glencoe.

We had a lovely stay at Kilchuimen House and the house is by far the nicest we have stayed in and we have done lots of self catering holidays! The view from the property is amazing so good in fact we spent a lot of time in the house and didn't feel the need to be out doing things all the time, we read lots and played cards... The location is such that you have everything on your doorstep from cycling to walking to water activities. A short walk takes you into Fort Augustus which is a lovely little place to wander around. The house is done to a very high standard and is really comfortable the bedrooms are a dream to be in have luxury hotel feel to them. Myself, my husband and my two children 11 & 21 yrs had a fantastic stay.

This house is just amazing. Everything is provided for a perfect stay. Internally, it is tastefully decorated and very well equipped. The view is spectacular. Unfortunately we did not have sunny weather but watching the loch constantly changing with the light has it’s own delights. It stands alone in a totally enclosed garden (great for dogs) but is an easy walk to the village.

The house was fabulous every room was decorated lovely. Bedrooms large and spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Everything thing you could possibly need was there. The views from the house was breathtaking, especially the balcony. We could not have picked a better house or location. Fort Augustus was a short enjoyable walk away with all the amenities you could possibly want. Excellent base for visiting other beautiful parts of Scotland. Would highly recommend to friends and family.
