We were a little disappointed with the scaffolding and building work just outside the property when we arrived, we could have been informed. However once into the property the initial reaction is wow! and the rest of the property did not disappoint.
The bedrooms were all well appointed and the beds extremely comfortable however they could do with matress protectors and the chair in the 1st bedroom is a hazard and should be repaired.
The lounge and dining area were excellent enteraining areas, the space was fantastic and the furnishing perfect.
Kitchen and bathrooms more than fit for purpose.
The only thing that was a bit onerous was the distance from the apartment to the rubbish disposal areas.
In summary an excellent apartment and we will be back.

We had a nice stay in a nice apartment with a nice location. However, we had slightly higher expectations than what was fulfilled. We were not informed that work was taking place on the facade with some noise from 8 o'clock in the morning. The cleaning was not quite good after the previous guests, where the dishwasher was still full of kitchen utensils from the previous guest. It's a bad start to the morning when you get the promised coffee but find out that the coffee capsules don't fit the coffee machine. Small things that are easy to do something with, and if they do it, the stay for the next guest will be absolutely great.

I dont really know where to start with this review.
Firstly it couldn't have a better location for Central Edinburgh absolutely perfect. Literally 1 min walk to the castle. The views out of the windows was stunning. We booked this as a surprise 40th birthday trip for a friend of ours. Upon entering the property every single person was bowled over. First thing you notice is the shear size. The place is ginormous. When you book placed online normally the photos have been taken by a professional photographer and it in person it never actually looks like the phots. Well with this place the photos don't do the apartment enough justice. You can't really appreciate the size until you inside.
The communal areas are perfect. Large living room and dinning room. Obviously I mustn't forget the liberty, yes library. Such an amazing quirky room to have in an apartment. The bedrooms are all stunning. Great size and furnished comfortably. The beds were probably theist comfortable I have slept in outside of my own (I appreciate everyone has different tastes when it comes to beds. But for wife and I it was perfect).
The apartment kitchen was extremely well furnished. Allowing you to pretty much create what ever your heart desired if you wanted. (Lovely touch leaving milk in the fridge).
The bathroom were also out of this world. The roll top bath was a nice extra and one that I had to try out. Very relaxing.
Finally the staff who I dealt with whilst making this booking went above and beyond. Specifically Lin and Stuart.
If you are wondering if this place is worth the money let me put your mind at rest it 100% is.

The accommodation and location was excellent. Right next to the castle within easy walking distance of fringe events. I would award this property 4 stars out of 5. The only reason for not awarding 5 stars was that there were a few minor issues ie the tap handle on the hand basin in the bathroom was broken, the mixer water tap in the kitchen was very loose on the work top, the temperature of the shower was difficult to regulate, the tablet lid of the dishwater was broken and finally a bedside light was broken. I contacted the agents re the faults and they attended the property promptly but repairs could not be carried out as new parts were required. This did not spoil our holiday and I would certainly recommend this property.

The Ramsey Gardens apartment is one that brings great pleasure with well sized rooms ,a great sense of style and a brilliant location.It is only the plumbing that needs some attention.It is wonderful for a a group of four or six and a delightful place to repair to in the evening.

I would highly recommend staying at Ramsey Gardens. All communication before arrival was great. The location was brilliant even though up the hill, it was well worth it! I booked for my Mums 50th Birthday and we were all sooo pleased with the appartment and was so spacious. It really had everything we needed including a nice welcome gift of shortbread, fruit, fresh flowers on the table and even milk put in the fridge. 2 bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath was really convenient for getting ready to head out. We all loved it and would absolutely stay again.

Fantastic apartment in the mist elite area of Edinburgh, just off the royal mile. It has everything you need and the views are stunning. Katie is always so helpful to us on arrival. Looking forward to next year already

This is a beautifully proportioned flat in a charming location. The furniture was originally very well chosen, and there is a feeling of space and light. There are great views over the New Town from one side.The kitchen has a fair supply of cutlery and crockery.
There are some small niggles- the doors squeak loudly, so opening them at night will waken light sleepers, just oiling is needed. One bedroom has the boiler in it, so it continually comes on and off even with hand taps.On the beds ,some mattressses are starting to sag, and some of the windows have been painted shut, and will not open.The camp beds supplied (which had been great two years ago), now have had slats removed ( wonder why anyone would do that?), and are uncomfortable and need replacing. These are small points to be dealt with by the managingcompany, but the apartment prvides a very attractive space, which is why we have booked it for 5 years in a row.

We stayed at Ramsay Gardens with various family members and friends to check on my daughter who started at Edinburgh this year. With various coming and goings, Ramsay Garden was a fabulously central place, with various rooms for everyone to relax in smaller groups. The kitchen was also a busy place. It worked out brilliantly and we all had a great time.

The apartment was immaculate in a tremendous location. It provided the ideal base for our daughters wedding and we were able to have all the family in one location. All on one level made it ideal for us. It was also extremely quiet with almost no noise outside or from other properties.

Ramsey Garden was an excellent venue for a family gathering to celebrate a 90th birthday!

The apartment is in a suburb location and has wonderful views across the city. The accommodation is very spacious, furnished and appointed to a very high standard. The individually decorated double bedrooms were most comfortable and it was very helpful to have an extra bed in the Library. The large table in the dining room made for a very special family meal. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of room for more than one cook! The excellent shower room and roll top bath in the separate bathroom were much appreciated. The booking process and meet and greet all went smoothly thanks to Katie. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommmend this property.

This apartment is perfect. We were an adult family group staying for the Fringe and the location was perfect (even having our own escort by security back to the flat in the evenings when the Tattoo was on). It is beautifully appointed and really comfortable. A lovely place to stay.

This is a beautiful place to stay, with good furnishings( although the artwork is a bit idiosyncratic).
Location is outstanding, the linens lovely and the kitchen well designed, although needing some utensils.
the only downsides are the lack of a separate loo- both are in bathrooms which can make mornings a bit tense when both are occupied by bathers/showerers- and the lack of any central storage area for luggage, before and after moving in.
Best when occupied by a smaller number and then a real haven of tranquillity..

Good points:
Huge apartments in the city center location by the castle. Suits for large parties up to 10 people. Building has a lot of character and has everything you need even for long stay.

Need improvement:
Internet connection was slow or not existent. Router restart didn't help.
Water pressure in the shower is very weak.

Gorgeous large contemporary flat in historic building. Great location for central tourist sites, easy to walk everywhere, yet quiet and private. We enjoyed the spacious dining room and living room with beautiful windows looking at greenery. Note there are two bathrooms for four bedrooms, not en suite.

This apartment is beautiful and very well located close to Royal Mile and Edinburgh castle. The host was there to meet us as planned and helped a little with one of the cases. Just need to be careful with the rugs as they curl up and you can trip as I done. Also the oven outer display kept falling off. Otherwise perfect and I would stay again.

This place really did have the wow factor and all of us who stayed there were very impressed. The accommodation was very very spacious which lots of reception areas. Beautifully decorated and all the fixtures, fittings and furniture were of a very high standard. The views from this property were also fantastic and was located right in the city centre.
Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

The location, just near the castle, with a view on it, was amazing.

Fabulous spacious 4 generous double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with ample living space. Be aware no parking and not much room even for drop off (only animal courtyard) so try train (and nearest parking is trading station at £19.50 per day). Not best location for those unable to walk (hilly).
Views are fantastic, tea and coffee is provided. Would highly recommend this base, we will stay there again :)

We were met at the appartment by Jack (I think), he was so helpful! The appartment was amazing, really has the wow factor! If we are ever lucky enough to be in Edinburgh again, we will definitely book with Greatbase Appartments, it was so easy.
