Stop and smell what’s sweet

Roebucks Rose is named after the cheeky roe deer who often comes close to snaffle the roses, it’s the boundless fauna and flora that inspired our gardener, Posy, to create a sun-drenched courtyard garden as a haven for families. Engulfed in Cotswold stone, the single-storey barn brings together rustic character with contemporary design, while a soak in the Quince outdoor copper bath elevates any mood to happy.

We had a fantastic weekend at Roebuck Rose celebrating a family birthday. The property gave us plenty of space - love the decor - a safe garden for grandchildren, great walks from the house and the peace of an away-from-it-all location. The house and grounds had everything we needed for a family gathering. Thank you!

Roebuck's Rose was a beautiful place to stay for my sister's hen weekend. We were very comfortable with 10 girls and found the house plenty spacious. The kitchen was very well stocked which made things like cocktail making and cooking super easy! The location was easily accessible and close to plenty of great pubs, walks, and activities. Perhaps the only issue could be parking, as you are only allocated five spaces and we had seven cars between us all, however, we were able to squeeze behind each other. But otherwise a really great stay and I would definitely recommend.

I absolutely recommend booking one of the properties by Quince. I thought it looked lovely online but when we arrived I was blown away.

The setting is absolutely stunning. You’re right in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by nature and beautiful scenery. The barn itself was absolutely lovely and finished to a very high standard and the cottage style garden in the court yard was very special.

All of the rooms were absolutely lovely and very comfortable. The beds were fantastic with lovely bedding and pillows. There were plenty of bathrooms and space so that as a large group you didn’t feel at all on top of each other. There was plenty of space for all to have a good night sleep and relax.

We were very lucky with the weather and made use of the abundant outdoor space and seating. However, even if it had been a rainy weekend, it still would have been a wonderful place to stay.

It was great that it was dog friendly and there were dog bowls at the property. The booking was very easy and check in and property details were very efficient.

The only reason that I marked it slightly lower on the value for money is due to a fairly early check-out at 10am. I think if this were slightly later, it would have made the stay a bit more relaxing so we didn’t have to rush off on Sunday morning. Also, having to strip down the beds after paying a fair price made it feel slightly like an Airbnb.

However, considering everything else was perfect, these are only very minor comments and I would still highly recommend and would definitely love to visit again in future!

We had a family cottage break with our extended family of over 30 people and booked all 3 cottages on the estate. We had the most wonderful stay. The cottages were extremely spacious and well equipped. All bedrooms were of exceptionally high standard and the cottages were spotless clean when we arrived. Natascha was available to ensure our stay was seemless. We had the added advantage of an EV charger. I would highly recommend staying at the Roebucks cottage or even the other 2 cottages. All lovely. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful property, great location, well managed, good communication.
All mod cons, amazing decor.
Spent a very nice weekend in the property. Hosts were very kind and allowed us a later checkout, 10am until midday, at no extra cost so we could spend a few extra hrs there.
Thanks for a lovely weekend.

The property was exactly what we needed - cosy yet modern and fully equipped for our stay. Plenty of space to accommodate everyone and a very well stocked kitchen for mass catering. We loved our escape to the country and will be back again. Thank you to the team for all of their help and support during our stay too.

We had such a lovely stay at Roebuck’s Rose. The house is beautifully decorated and feels like a home from home. We had a great girls weekend away. The location was great, with beautiful scenery and walks on the doorstep, but we were also able to travel into Oxford for the Saturday. The courtyard is a great space for relaxing in the sunshine. We also walked along the Thames to a great pub called the Trout. The house had everything we needed and worked perfectly for our trip. Thank you so much!

This is my second stay in a Quince house in this are and I absolutely loved it. Would highly recommend for a quality weekend away with friends or family.

Roebucks Rose was the perfect spot for a girls get together. It was fabulously decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. It’s in a remote but scenic location which suited us. We went for some lovely walks and enjoyed exploring Daylsford and Burford. We also had a great Indian takeaway from Viceroy.

The house was very well presented and equipped with everything that we needed, with a very nice welcome box to greet us on arrival. We found plenty to do in the local area with bike rides, walks, golf and general exploring. The easy access down to the Thames for walks was a real bonus. All in all a great stay in a lovely property.

A beautiful place in the country, far from the crowds, away from the noise. Bedrooms fantastic and just a great place to sit outside and enjoy the view.

Rose Barn is just beautiful. It has been renovated recently and is decorated to a really high standard.
It is set in a tranquil nature reserve, with spots in the pretty courtyard and meadows to sit and watch the birds, deer & other wildlife.
We will definitely be back.
