We had an amazing stay at Drylaw House. A perfect weekend spent with friends in beautiful, clean, and comfortable surroundings. A swift cab drive from the centre of town. We wouldn't hesitate to come back.

We have had the greatest time in Drylaw house
We were 24 friends for my husband's 50's birthday
The house is stylish with all the comfort of your house + a five stars hôtel
Definitely my recommandation for something special to celebrate in Edimburg

We booked Drylaw for our annual company offsite meeting and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. Although we were located in the heart of the city, the impressive gardens helped us feel relaxed creating the perfect atmosphere for focus.

The house itself was spotlessly clean and well-appointed. The dining room was perfect for our meetings with super-fast WIFI and plenty of space. Lots of bedrooms and social spaces made this a perfect getaway for our team.

We would highly recommend Drylaw for business events or meetings.

Our stay at Drylaw House was a once in a lifetime opportunity. An honest to god historic home with many of its original details plus all the modern design necessary for a luxury stay. We hosted a family reunion weekend at Drylaw House and none of us wanted to leave when it was over. Andrew, who checked us in, was responsive and helpful to our questions. Every room was beautiful and carefully decorated. There were plenty of bathrooms for 24 guests and everyone slept comfortably in the beds made up with quality linens. The sauna/steam/jacuzzi area with complimentary robes and sandals, was beautifully situated in an outdoor space so you had a real spa feeling. Our family enjoyed pick up soccer on the back lawn and yoga lessons on the front lawn. The cozy AGA stove in the kitchen was a new experience for those of us not from Scotland and the extra dishwashers and all the cooking items you might need made for easy cooking and clean up. The property is large and very private with lovely old growth trees and some interesting ruins of former buildings. I cannot recommend this place more. If I ever have the chance to come back I will try to stay at Drylaw again. Thank you!

The stay was just amazing. Have never seen such a beautiful and royal villa such close to the city.
The villa has everything you ask for.
And space was never a constraint eventhough we were 21 people
Loved the stay
Would rate it 10/10.
Cannot expect anything more than this

After some very difficult news this year we decided to celebrate our wedding with all our nearest and dearest from across the world. We chose Edinburgh because of how beautiful the city is and never imagined we’d be lucky enough to find a house that matched the city’s beauty! Drylaw House was unbelievable and I can’t recommend it more. The rooms were spacious and landed themselves well to a larger group of people. We set it up to resemble a wedding reception and we can genuinely say we wouldn’t have wanted to have it anywhere else. Fully stocked and in beautiful grounds. Only 10 minutes from the city centre. What an amazing stay. Thank you so much!

Beautiful house and surroundings. Perfect to host hen weekend with all the girls. Couldnt fault anything. Not too far out of Edinburgh city centre either. Would definetly look to book again for other important occasions

18 of us had a fantastic weekend at Drylaw House. All rooms were beautiful and comfortable and the hot tub was a huge hit!

We were fortunate to stay when the weather was gorgeous so we spent a lot of time outside. Only thing I would say is some garden furniture / seating would have been great to really utilise the garden as most of us had to make do with lying on the grass.

If the weather was not so nice then we definitely would not have been short on space or bored as so many rooms / chill out space inside.

Wonderful stay and would highly recommend to anyone

We had a fantastic stay at Drylaw. Amazed at how well stocked it was, so much fridge space, every kitchen amenity you could need and even dressing gowns, towels and flip flops for the hot tub/sauna/steam room area.

The grounds were great, so much space and really peaceful. The rooms inside were a great size and everyone was comfortably accommodated.

We had a great stay and would happily recommend/book again

Beautiful property set within stunning grounds of Drylaw House. Each room is uniquely made to be it's own. Several facilities too that we weren't aware of before arriving acted as a pleasant surprise. The sheer vastness of this venue was incredible. Very well maintained and houses everything one could need for a getaway with a large amount of people. If you are lucky enough to catch this place in the Summer, it genuinely feels like a hidden paradise within a sunbathed Edinburgh. The team were engaging and stayed communicative throughout the booking process. Could not recommend this place enough. Well done.

We stayed at Drylaw House for my sister’s hen party, there were 20 of us and there was so much space for everyone to feel comfortable. The dining area was great, the kitchen had everything we needed, the utility room was the handiest thing and had wee things we needed but hadn’t thought of brining. No one pulled the short straw on the rooms because they were all great. The beds were so comfy, the bathrooms/en-suites were lovely. The little touches like robes and flip flops were great and unexpected. There is some general wear and tear about the property but that’s expected for a big old house, for example the floor boards in the main living room were quite uneven, the tiles in the dining room were stained/cracked but overall the place was in good condition for its age. Sebastian was incredibly helpful and flexible, quick at getting back to me with any questions I had both before our stay and during.

Everyone had an amazing weekend and I would definitely recommend Drylaw House.
