The inside of the property is very good throughout. The location if you want to be in Porthmadog is great. We liked the fact we were by the harbour so not noisy and pleasant. Literally, 1-minute walk to the steam railway station very handy, as well as access to the cafes and shops. Wifi worked absolutely fine which is great as phone reception was not.

ONnly issue was finding empty coke bottles under my bed and the coffee machine wasn't clean with remains of last drink in. This is minor, as rest of the place was clean on arrival. Could probably do with a better way of getting water out of the room as floor was always wet even if you had been out for the day. But a really good use of the space nonetheless and shower was excellent.

Would be a bit of a squeeze with four people and kitchenette rather than kitchen, but if you are mainly eating out not an issue. I would recommend for two or three adults but not for children.

Everything was fine. Location was good, bed linen excellent along with towels etc.
The small point was the wet room with shower this needs a revamp as water goes everywhere.

We were very pleased with our visit. It was very homely to come back to . When we drew the curtains in the morning it was a delightful sight . The harbour is beautiful. Visited Port Meirion and Snowdonia which is breathtakingly beautiful . The people we met were always very friendly and helpful . Maybe the shower took some getting used to but we have found this with nearly all wet rooms anyway. This was a magical holiday and we have travelled the world but we will never forget Portmadog and the stunning mountains and this very relaxing environment. Would fully recommend this stay . You will want to go back

I'd forgotten how nice Porthmadog and the surrounding area was having not been there for a few years. Choosing to stay at Harbour Retreat turned out to be a very good decision. We would like to come back another time.

A great location. Well appointed. A big issue with the shower not draining though. As it is a wet room we were paddling through water every time we visited the loo.

The Great Little Train of Wales called us back again for a Spring “fix “.
Where shall we stay?
No question,it’s got to be at Harbour Retreat so that we can have a short walk to the station.
Even better,we can see the station from the bedroom window.
Combine location with comfort and wonderful,helpful staff and you have the perfect holiday.

We came for a last minute 3 night getaway on 2nd Jan till Friday 5th & was very impressed with our stay & the accommodation was lovely. Was very cosy & comfortable & well equipped with all you needed. We all slept well & was very comfortable. Even the dog felt at home & loved the outside space. The shower was good but the bathroom was a bit small & water literally got everywhere when showering so you had to mop it all down afterwards. We did have a little leak too under the sink but we informed the company about it & it didn't affect our stay. We will definitely try come back again in the warmer weather as the area was such a lovely place to visit & I'm sure the views all around will be amazing in the spring or summer. Thanks for a lovely comfortable stay. X

Just had a lovely few days at the Harbour Retreat. Lovely outlook of the harbour from the patio doors and the window in the dining area. It's close to the town and we recommend the Port Cafe for breakfast just a short walk and it is dog friendly. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need. The only downside was that the double bed was not that comfy but thumbs up otherwise.

This apartment is in a stunning location so thank goodness we had a sunny week and spent most of our time outdoors. It is definitely not big enough for 4 adults and a dog. The wet room is all style and no substance, and the squeegee provided for the floor is useless. Kitchen space is very limited and cramped. It’s very much in need of some tender love and care.

Size is ok for two, would suggest lounge/dine/kitchen cramped for four.
“Designer” loo/wash/shower is novel to say the least, leaves second+ party paddling in water.
Location cannot be faulted, views over harbour and the steam railway.
Best for a short stay

Lovely apartment, it’s was our er third stay there. Wonderful view . Only one complete, there is Marley tiles through the apartment an d it has either been polished or sealed, which I found was very slippery and kept slipping. I have bad mobility so for me it was dangerous.

The apartment is in a beautiful place with views over the harbour and estuary with the mountains in the background. It is very convenient for the Festiniog railway and shops are a short walk away. There are many lovely places to visit within a brief drive away including beaches and mountains.
The apartment was clean and well equipped and it was lovely to open the patio doors and step out onto the edge of the harbour to walk our dog and look at the views.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is second to non and very peaceful. The only problem is the shower, there needs to be more of a slope from the basin so that the water from the show drains away, the completely flat surface means it does not and you are constantly paddling when trying to use the basin the mop provided is not that helpful

Every thing was very good, eventually I got the hand of the digital cooker. The shower is too fierce and wastes water but it worked with nice hot water.

The location is terrific and we would like to go back next year.

Spent a lovely week at Harbour Retreat, the view was amazing, had only been there a day and felt we had been there weeks, so relaxing, my grandchildren had a fantastic time, plenty to do and see, visited Green Wood in Caernarfon, well worth it, Rabbit Farm in Criccieth, crabbing over the harbour wall, and of course the beach at Blackrock Sands. The apartment was lovely, very clean on arrival and well equipped, beds very comfortable, just a heads up to take a bath mat, the bathroom tends to get a little flooded from the shower not draining quick enough, Enjoyed our stay so much will be looking to re book next year,
