What a wonderful place to stay. The accommodation had everything you needed, and the views were just magnificent.
Lots of places to walk and take in the stunning scenery.
Geoff, the Estate Manager was such a lovely person, and so helpful.
Can’t wait to return.

I stayed at the West Caiplich Cottage at Dalnaglar Estate last March with two of my staff. I'm a chaf and we were catering to the wedding at the castle.

I have to say, even though it was work, it felt like a mini holiday, because of where we were located. Stone, whitewashed cottage in the Scottish moorland has a very special feel to it. Friendly Highland cows on the field outside added to the vibe. We only regretted, we didn't manage to use the hot tub, but after all, we weren't on vacation.

Cottage was spotless, with comfortable bedrooms, living room and kitchen- I even managed to do some additional prep there.

The custodians, Helen and Rob, were very helpful and always there when we needed them.

Dalnaglar is a very atmospheric Scottish estate, with beautiful grounds and- as I found out on another occasion- stunning hiking areas.

Would definitely recommend.

Our home from home was perfect for our week long trip skiing at Glenshee. Close enough to everything we needed, sitting in picture perfect surroundings. Don’t know when, but we’ll be back.

Anna and Rob provided one of the best weekends we've had in years. So relaxed and peaceful and very accommodating. Family ski weekend made possible by the flexible hosts.
Thanks so much for making a last minute trip so memorable for the kid's 1st ski trip

A cosy cottage, enjoyed the hot tub looking out to snowy hills. It was a very relaxing visit. The kitchen was well equipped. It would have been nice to arrive to a small starter pack - milk, bread & butter given 25min drive to supermarket and arriving in the dark. The beds were very comfy. The road along to the cottages was very icy I would have expected it to be gritted to reduce risk of accident/ getting stuck. Grit available to do yourself once there, which was needed as steep walk down to cottage & didn’t want to risk car being stuck. Our teen wasn’t impressed with Wi-Fi & I wasn’t able to work one of the days as it was so slow, so worth highlighting. Perfect if you just want to shut off for the week. Lovely walks round about.

We stayed at Wester Caiplich over Christmas and how fantastic it was. The location and scenery are amazing and the local wildlife including deer, highland coo's, and various birds are easily viewed. The cottage is beautifully refurbished with a modern finish. The beds were comfy and the place was exceptionally clean on our arrival. We spoke with the local maintenance guy who gave us plenty of tips on places to visit and walks around the property. The hot tub was amazing especially when the snow was falling. We cannot rate this property highly enough and plan to return next year.

The downsides to the property; I imagine the living room would be a little snug with four adults, however, we visited as a couple and our dog at it was perfectly fine. If there was one thing I would say could improve the property it would be the addition of a log burner/stove.

We had a wonderful few days in a winter wonderland. Rob, Helen, and the gamekeeper were super helpful and friendly. When it was time to leave, they went above and beyond to tow my car up the hill, which was stuck due to snow and ice. I'd love to return in the spring.

Another excellent stay at Dalnaglar cottages. Peaceful location with beautiful views and a hot tub to unwind. Perfect for a girls escape. We’re already planning our 3rd visit next year.

I was lucky enough to win a three night break at Wester Caiplich cottage . The cottage was very well equipped and lovely and cosy which was a bonus as the weather wasn’t brilliant .
The scenery was fantastic and it was great to see the Highland cows at the bottom of the garden !
A well needed break to recharge the batteries . Thank you

Amazing views, wildlife and countryside. Highland cows, deer, ducks, ospreys….. Cosy comfortable and clean cottage, very well maintained and the hot tub was fantastic. Walks around the estate - wow! Kids loved it - we loved and can’t wait to go back.
