Our family of four stayed at Marble Lodge for the week and had a fantastic time. Loads for our two little ones to explore - nature, adventure playgrounds, cake shops, castles and more. The accommodation is warm and cozy with spectacular views outside and a crackling open fire inside.

You cannot beat the location with fantastic walks from the door and wildlife. Fishing on beat 2 productive. Glen Tilt is a beautiful Glen. Cottage comfortable warm and welcoming with all facilities you would want. Bottled water for drinking didn’t impact our break. Shower pressure is low but plenty of hot water. We loved our stay and will be back

The Marble Lodge is located in a secluded, beautiful setting along the River Tilt and surrounded by high glens that make this stay so relaxing. The lodge is modern, very comfortable and well-appointed. We could have stayed much longer! We enjoyed lots of hiking, exploring, Blair Castle, town of Pitlochry and a wonderful dinner at the Loft Restaurant. Highly recommend stay. Of note, it’s approximately 6 miles down a dirt road. It’s very navigable but we had a small rental car and it was a bit of bumpy ride to and from the lodge.

Rented the lodge for my elderly parents. Unfortunately we didn’t appreciate the single track 5 mile road to get there with not many passing places so on their arrival they had to reverse for several metres whilst a massive tractor came towards them. We also got stuck in some gravel leaving the cottage as cars were trying to pass to get to the other lodge.They only left once a day due to the condition of the road. Cottage in immaculate condition with amazing views. Ideal for getting away from the hustle and bustle only negative is the road to get there.

We loved the location of this cosy cottage - 5 miles up an unmade track. We made full use of the walks and peaks on our doorstep and enjoyed the remoteness. We saw oyster catchers, deer, red grouse and so much more. Cottage is cosy and clean and has everything you need. WiFi was very stable. The shower was a little slow in terms of pressure but not an issue for us.

The booking information for the lodge or pre-arrival information does not disclose that the tap water in the lodge cannot be consumed. This extends to even being unable to use the tap water to brush teeth, rinse food or wash dishes without either using boiled water or the bottled water supplied ( and transported in from Wales!).
The sign explaining that the water cannot be consumed is also not right beside the tap in the kitchen and so could easily be missed. There is also no information to let you know that additional bottles are kept in the shed outside should you run out.
All of this information should be included within the booking details as leaving this out feels misleading. We would likely not have booked to come here had we known.
I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you don’t mind using bottled water for everything bar washing yourself.

This was our first visit to Marble Lodge and we will definitely be returning! The cottage is beautiful and located in a stunning Glen. The peaceful location along with beautiful walks and fresh air made the stay amazing. Our kids are 8 years old and spent the holiday playing around the river and running around the Glen. We visited Blair Atholl castle which was included in our stay and loved that too. The cottage is extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you to all the Blair Atholl estate team.

Amazing place for people liking nature and walks. Very quiet secluded and beautiful location! Standard of lodge very high for this type of place - small inconvenience with drinking water supply but thoughtfully drinking and cooking water supplied and very clear instructions for safety. Place full of swifts nests - if anyone likes birds it’s amazing to watch them. Most wonderful holidays and not enough words to describe tranquility of the lodge.

Marble Lodge is the perfect balance between remote solitude and modern conveniences. The WiFi coverage is excellent in the lodge. There is no television, but why would you need it? We loved the laundry for cleaning the mud off our hiking gear, the giant bathtub/ shower for soaking our sore muscles, and the fireplace to read, relax and perhaps sip some whisky.
Everyone we interacted with on the Blair Athol Estate staff was fantastic! There really is nothing like interacting with people who enjoy what they do and do it very well. From my first contact to reserve the lodge, to making sure we were settled in comfortably, we felt welcome.
Within the week I was at Marble Lodge, I started to feel like this cottage was mine, my comfortable home where I can recharge my body and soul. Each morning I woke gently and refreshed, and enjoyed my coffee surrounded by the majesty of the hills, the gentle sound of the running river, and the bleating of the sheep who live on the estate. If you are an explorer of nature, a hillwalker, a hiker or just in need of solitude, Marble Lodge is the place for you.
It is my goal to return every year.

Marble Lodge is an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life with only sheep as neighbours. Views to the surrounding hills uplift the spirits. While the cottage itself is comfortable with all you need to cater for a week long stay. The only disappointing thing was the need to use bottled water all the way from Wales! A filtered tap would be much more in suiting with the area.

Our family has had an association with the estate and Marble Lodge for thirty years, it’s the go to place for peace and quiet in a breath taking location. Excellent walking and biking from the doorstep, and every facility you could ask for a short drive away. Marble Lodge is located in a beautiful quiet part of Glen Tilt, next to the River Tilt. As an “off-grid” escape, 5 miles along a private gravel track, it is perfect. The open fire, well stocked with wood & coal, was wonderful on a chilly March weekend. The kitchen is small but well equipped, but why have a dishwasher if it doesn’t work? It has 1 bathroom, and my advice would be to have a bath as the shower is poor. There were only 2 of us, so my wife taking a bath wasn’t a problem, as I had a very quick shower. I don’t know if 4 people would have enough hot water. The double bedroom is small but adequate, but the mattress is very soft, fine if you like soft mattresses. I’m not a fan. Wifi didn’t work and there’s no mobile signal. Not a problem for us, but if you go there and expect internet, you may be disappointed. Overall, we had a wonderful couple of days, the points above didn’t spoil our stay, however others may be less accommodating. We used to work in the alpine chalet business, and found over the years, clients increasingly wanted more for less.
