family & I have just returned from a wonderful weekend at Limefitt Park staying at BL. We were massively impressed with the high standard of the lodge in it’s entirety. It was nicely presented, well equipped & spotlessly clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the shower was hot & had adequate pressure. The little added extra’s were greatly appreciated ie. liquid soap in kitchen & bathrooms, tissues, kitchen roll, tin foil & dishwashing liquid. Our friends were staying in another lodge on site and they were not even supplied with a dishcloth let alone some Fairy liquid! Birthwait...more
We had such a lovely week in this beautiful lodge. It really did make the horrendous weather bearable! It was absolutely immaculate and had absolutely everything we could want including many extras. The location was perfect being such a short walk to Bowness and because you could then catch a boat to many places we didn’t use the car much at all. We will definitely return! Thank you.
perfect that is the only word for it. clean comfortable and everything we needed. perfect setting .
Our second stay at High Borrans, once again the lodge was spotless, well equipped and a delight to stay in. Very reasonably priced for the bank holiday weekend. Great location and wonderful views!
Excellent stay at Brook lodge - lovely and modern inside & a perfect location for exploring Bowness. I would definitely return to this lodge and could not fault the experience.
We found The Waterbird to be very comfortable and spacious. It has a very large deck area which is totally secure for letting the dog free. The best bit is that the deck is right up to the waters edge. All in all a good base for the lakes, but bring your all weather gear!
Once again we had a fantastic stay with Lake District Lodge Holidays. Beautifully located lodge, right near water, equipped with everything You might need during Your stay. We enjoyed bbq on the decking, with ducks on the water and rabbits wandering on the grass between the lodges. Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. We do highly recommend this lodge and we are looking forward to book our next stay.
The cabin was in exceptionally good order - almost as if it was brand new. Everything was in tip-top condition. We'd certainly return given the chance.
Was clean, comfortable a good place too spend a couple of days. Would go back. Very peaceful and relaxing
Nice break, good location for visiting various attractions............................................
We had a great time Cosey and very clean cabin The views are stunning It was beautiful We use an EV the owner very kindly let us charge using our UMC via the cabin electric point
This was our first visit to your site and unsure what to expect The lodge was amazing with beautiful views and although the weather was appalling we had a lovely long weekend The staff throughout were fantastic from the minute you arrive at reception to the bar and restaurant staff My wife and i must say a massive thank you to SHANNON in as she was professional courteous organised and extremely helpful and always with a big smile on her face I have my own business and understand staff make or break you and she is a massive asset to your business and she needs a big pat on the back Thank y...more
This was our second stay at Elder Lodge and it didn't disappoint! Beautiful well equipped lodge in peaceful setting. The hot tub is an added bonus after an active day. Even the dog was well catered for with treats and toys. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
It was a wonderful experience, very nice place and very nice lodge. We will be back to this lodge again
The Hazel lodge was absolutely perfect for our stay in the Lake District. The location was peaceful and relaxing and the lodge itself was beautifully furnished and immaculate.
We enjoyed our stay at marina view lodge the views of the lake are stunning. On arrival we found the boiler had been leaking but after a quick phone call a boiler repair man came around within 30 minutes and sorted the problem,1st class service and we would stay in this lodge again.
We were testing the hut as we are about to get the same model ourselves. It was beautiful and luxurious. Well equipped for two people, apart from the ever so tiny frying pan. The heated towel rail wouldn’t come on, although the precious guest had remarked how hot it was. Also no mention of whether you could or couldn’t bbq, and I couldn’t see one provided. Had the weather been better we would have wanted one. Small gripes because the whole experience was lovely and restful .
We had a lovely week in Bosun's Lodge. It is a good size for 4 people, very clean and well equipped. It's in a nice quiet location on White Cross Bay (which is a really nice park). The hot tub was lovely after days full of walking and cycling. We didn't find the double bed that comfortable, it was a bit hard for our liking, but obviously that's personal preference. We would definitely recommend this lodge.
This was our first time staying at High Borrans, but it certainly won't be the last. From the moment we arrived we were very impressed. The lodge was of high standard, immaculately clean with everything you need for your stay. The surrounding to lodge were idyllic and so peaceful. We came away truly relaxed.
Lodge is really nice and well equipped with everything you need the location is perfect right over looking the lake. We really enjoyed our stay here the park is really good too food in the restaurant was good. Only fault I could make on the lodge is the sofa in the lounge area could do with replacing as it’s really uncomfortable but this didn’t ruin our stay beds are really comfortable overall we had a lovely time and would look at returning at some point.
We unfortunately had a lot of rain when we stayed so we were not able to take advantage of the decking which had incredible views. However, as the lodge was very comfortable we had a very restful break and it was not a hardship to end our days early go back and curl up with a book. Watching the fells opposite appear and disappear at regular intervals. It was very private and we would go back again but hope to be able to relax on the deck next time.
My Husband and I love this lodge we love where its located ,well kept and comfortable and has all the facilities you need its great it has a washing machine as the weather can be wet ,we love the Tranquility and peaceful atmosphere ,Its just so nice to have a relaxing break.Love seeing the wildlife at night The Badgers wee bunnies and sometimes you see deer and also The haybarn inn onsite is great for meals and a refreshment , and its dog friendly ,unfortunately we couldnt take our wee dog this year as she had a bad accident last year and paralysed her 2 back legs ,she is back up on all 4s but...more
Beautiful, clean lodge with peaceful surroundings. Nice walk into Windermere. We would definitely recommend these lodges and we will definitely be back.
We visited Tanglewood in a party of two families- 4 adults and four children in total. The lodge was plenty big enough for all of us and very well equipped. It was very comfortable inside with nice decked area outside. The children enjoyed the on site playground and football area and proximity to Lake Windermere was lovely. We would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic lodge with everything you needed for a great stay with a personal touch.beds comfortable and very spacious lodge with the added benefit of the utility room not far to walk to amenities were you can get delicious breakfast and good value meals definitely recommend lakeside lodges been with them 10 times always lovely lodges and friendly helpful staff
Lovely presented lodge with nice views. Hot tub was lovely and well maintained. Ample crockery and cutlery. Comfortable sofa with a good selection of entertainment. All in all had a lovely stay but the downside would be the cream carpet when taking a dog especially in the rain. Also it was tricky to obtain the key from the box outside (it wouldn't drop down easily). I also thought there would be amenities closer than they were as the shop onsite was not well stocked.
The lodge was extremely clean and well equipped, the condition OK is due to the outside area, especially the decking, in need of renovation. Otherwise, an excellent lodge. I previously provided feedback on the form left regarding the poor WiFi connectivity on the site and the poor bar service
We stayed at Lakeland View Lodge for a spell of rest and relaxation in beautiful surroundings and we were not disappointed. The lodge was excellent, modern, clean and well appointed, the site was well kept with engaging staff. It is a lovely quiet place in beautiful scenery and if you crave some of that I can’t recommend it enough
Having stayed at this Lodge in June 2019 We were well impressed with the overall comfort of this Lodge so we booked a further stay for Sept2019. This Lodge is the nicest one we have stayed in at Fallbarrow. The furniture is excellent the equipment in the Lodge has everything you may require and the cleanliness is excellent. Would have no problem in recommending this to friends.
We had a lovely week staying at Buttermere Lodge. There was everything we needed and the location was really good, close to the centre of Bowness.
Great lodge with everything you could need ie Wi-Fi, good amount of TV channels, netflix, dog bowls. Lots of information on the lakes and places to visit. Great bedrooms and decent sized shower in the ensuite. Great decking area with furniture and hot tub.
What a wonderful Holiday Park White Cross Bay is and we had 11 nights in the Waters Edge Luxury Holiday Lodge. The Park was well maintained and the lodge was just great and very, very clean. My wife was never out of the hot tub. We were very disappointed in one thing. On arrival home we tried to book the same lodge for the same time next year and found it was totally booked throughout 2020.. So we had to book another lodge, shame.
This was a lovely weekend, my family don’t live close so this was the ideal opportunity to meet up and spend some quality time together in beautiful surroundings. The lodge was a real home from home with comfy beds, excellent water pressure and comfortable living area. I would definitely recommend and will come again!
This was a lovely lodge, we loved the hot tub, the lodge was very well equipped, and comfortable. A lovely relaxing stay!
Lovely lodge in a great location! Great facilities and a lovely quiet site. Will definitely return!
Had a fantastic 4 night stay for our silver wedding anniversary. Lodge was lovely. Location less than 5 min walk from Bowness. Everything you need in the lodge even dishwasher tablets, tea towels. There was even tea and coffee. Hot tub was amazing. Will definitely book this lodge again. Thanks for the complementary wine.
We needed a few days rest & restoration and that’s just what Pine Lodge gave us. Perfect in every way. Comfortable inside & out with a short stroll to the lake which our little dog enjoyed. Our stay just not long enough but we hope to be back.
We found the lodge very plesent but there was a smell of damp and all out cloth felt damp on a morning. In the description for the lodge it says there is wifi suppled by the sit, there is but the signal is very weak and the lodge position recives very little signal at all also the location has very bad phone signal so with no wifi this causes a problem when you need to call any one from the lodge.
The lodge was a good size for a family of four with great views from the terrace. The sites position in Troutbeck provides a quieter feel than directly around Windermere with country views and direct access to walks.
This is a beautiful lodge. It’s spacious and airy with nice touches from the owners. Everything was top quality. We have stayed in many lodges over the years and this is the best yet.
Arrived to a very clean and huge lodge. Hot tub was hot and ready to go. Beds were very comfortable and we felt like it was a home away from home. Good location on the site and the site was a good location in regards to things near by. We cant wait to stay again.
Beautiful location and not far from all major sightseeing points within the Windermere region. The lodge is well maintained and provided the 'home from home' experience that we wanted. The lodge is lovingly furnished and provides additional unexpected features such as children's games and a range of DVD options for the whole family. The outdoor space is excellent and perfect for sitting out and enjoying the spectacular views. The on-site activities are great for young children (park, zip wire etc.) and it even has its own pub restaurant with scheduled entertainment most nights! We couldn't fau...more
We have stayed here before and have booked again for next year. We wouldn't be happy leaving Shoreside without a future stay planned. We take our twin grandsons with us who are aged three, They cannot contain their excitement when they arrive, so much for them to do and get involved with.
we got there waited over an hour for food only 6 people in restaurant when came sausage raw complained night time went down fro entertainment very poor also short staffed on bar waited 40 mins to be served terrible
The lodge was more than we expected, a little get away for myself and my partner with our little puppy :) would of liked to been show where we could walk the dogs on the farm as we didn’t meet the owner until we were leaving. Would love to return one day
We loved staying in Grandpa's Lodge. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The kitchen provided for all our needs and matched our own gas hob and electric oven combination. The beds were comfortable. The central heating was efficient enabling us to dry out our swimming things overnight. The lake is just at the far end of the site. We were blessed with several sightings of wild deer close to the lodges. We made good use of the swimming pool and sauna - all well worth the £15.00 charge per stay. We did not actually use the cafeteria/bar but the menu looked good. The kids enjoyed the on site play...more
We have been to limefitt park before but this was the first time we stopped at sunnybank lodge. The park was its usual self, well maintained and peaceful. Sunnybank lodge was excellent, very clean and modern. We could not fault the lodge at all, inside and out. We did not have very good weather that week (that’s the way it goes with the lakes) but if we had it would have been great to able to open the folding door and the other door onto the decking and sit looking down the valley and the lovely view. Also a nice welcome pack was left for us which was a nice surprise. Definitely will be back n...more
This lodge is amazing! By far the best lodge we have stayed at in White Cross Bay. Great location on the park. The decking area at the back is a lovely little sun trap and very private. A comfortable, spacious, well equipped lodge. Each bedroom has it's own tv which was great! We even had a little robin come and visit us every day!
This Lodge is beautiful and located just 2 down from the waters edge. It is a very tight parking space especially when in a large car like ours but we managed with a few trys .Stunning interior with lots if light from all the bi fold doors and windows that lead out on to a fantastic deck area. Wooden decking like we have at home needs a good jet wash as the mess spoilt the hot tub area and the lovely furniture was absolutely full of cobwebs and bits of trees so a tiny bit more attention needed there to be 5 star. Plenty kitchen utensils and oven wear but some needed a little extra wash as the...more
Corner Retreat Lodge was in a good location within the park, not far from the shop, reception and bar etc. and close to the lake. The hot tub was situated at the back of the lodge so was not on the roadside unlike a lot of others. The lodge its self was well equipped and decorated to a good standard. The park was just a short drive or bus ride from Windermere and Bowness.
Our stay at Damson Lodge was very enjoyable. The location of the lodge in the park was good just a short walk to the clubhouse and the marina. I booked the lodge for 4 adults. The main bedroom was excellent but the second bedroom was too small for 2 adults would be ok for children. It slept a family of 4 rather than 4 adults. It was good to have the hot tub after a days walking a real bonus.
We had a brilliant holiday here, kids loved it and we have no complaints, thank you. We would happily come back again.
Even though the weather wasnt good we had a lovely short break away. The lodge was very nice . Modern, spacious and very tastefully decorated . A real home from from home and the location of the park is lovely and relaxing .
We all thought the lodge was beautiful and very clean. However we wouldn't stay at that site again because there were too many dogs and also it wasn't very private. The onsite pub and bar was also full of dogs. It's a shame because the owners of our lodge obviously took time to make sure the lodge was very clean and comfortable for their guests.
Excellent lodge, good location providing you have your own transport. Very cosy, hot tub lovely after a day out. Bed very comfortable, kitchen fully equipped for all your needs. Bathrooms very adequate.
We enjoyed the Haybarn pub on site for drinks in the beer garden and had a tasty cooked breakfast there. The lodge felt spacious and the king size bed was a bonus. We had wonderful warm weather and our dog Martha had a great time too.
The log cabin was beautiful very clean, everything there that was needed. It’s a very clean comfortable lodge and will definitely go back and would recommend it.
Had a lovely time but felt the lodge was very tired looking and was in need of a refurb. Hot tub was fab tho.
We've stayed several times in Limefitt park in different lodges and Limefitt View is a great lodge in an excellent location. The lodge itself is very large and spacious and comfortably housed 4 adults and 2 children. The kitchen is very well equipped although there was a slight smell (difficult to explain what) in the kitchen area that persisted for the entire duration of our stay, but wasn’t a major issue. The decking area is really nice and has been partially renovated. Plenty of comfortable seating available. The lodge is located at the upper side of the park and is very close to...more
Our first time staying at Limefitt park. The Latterbarrow lodge was very cosy with everything that we needed. Beautiful surroundings & plenty of walks to choose from. The site was very clean & the staff were pleasant. We ate in the Haybarn a couple of times. The food was very good. We would recommend Limefitt to our friends. We will hopefully return next year
Well equipped, clean and modern with fabulous sunset view of the lake. Value for money and easy booking process. Access to choices health club was a nice touch. Whitecross bay provides a good base to explore the area. Well recommended
Could not fault this lodge, beautiful inside and out. Perfect location. Would highly recommend to anybody. Probably the nicest place in the uk!
We found the chalet to be very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay (despite the weather). The washing machine was especially useful and we enjoyed using the hot-tub.The swimming pool was a bit crowded but it is probably during August,
Lovely cosy lodge in a fabulous location. Was the perfect location for my Lakeland 50 race, central to get around for my family. My family and dogs loved it, plenty of places to walk both on the site and further out
Me and my daughter stayed here over the weekend for my birthday and I could not rate it any higher if I tried, the lodge was stunning and the park as a whole was perfect. Will definitely be going again as there is so much to do in the area and one weekend isn’t enough time to fit it all in.
Lovely place to stay, good location between Ambleside and Bowness and for visiting other places. Fab.
We stayed for a week at the end of August. The lodge is well presented with a nice modern kitchen. It was very hot during our stay and the parasol had disappeared but this was very quickly replaced with a brand new one after a quick email to the office, which was impressive given that it was out of office hours. The lodge was comfortable but the beds were very small and I have marked just OK for cleanliness as there was quite a lot of mould in the shower, a few old stains on the bedding and we found several black hairs during our stay. We would return as it was a lovely lodge and we couldn't h...more
Lovely lodge, beautiful views, lovely park (although a lot more could be added like a bigger shop, more activities for the kids like archery or a club/centre for them maybe evening discos etc.) The free access to the local swim spa and gym was a nice touch however it wasn’t the best. The pool wasn’t anything to shout about, the changing facilities were poor and dirty no private rooms etc. The lodge was very comfy and very posh and it was one of the cheapest options. A lot was included. However better WiFi is needed and whoever cleans it needs to pay more attention to detail. Streaky tiles/...more
We visited White Swan Lodge for 4 nights, the location of the park is excellent, within just a couple of minutes walk from Bowness and the lake. Good facilities and staff were really helpful, The lodge is located in the quiet side of the park which was excellent for us, lovely last minute break enjoyed by all of us, Thank you
Had a fabulous stay at this lodge. Brilliant staff on arrival and the cleanliness of the lodge was fantastic. It was well worth the money would pay and wish we stayed longer. Would rush back in a heartbeat. Had everything we could possibly want and more. The hot tub was beautiful. Windermere only a short drive away. Brilliant stay.
2nd time at Rowan Lodge. The lodge is in one of the best locations on Limefitt Park next to the woods and hills and not overlooked. You can walk directly from the lodge to the Mortal Man and also to Ambleside over Wansfell without needing a car. We like the fact that Rowan Lodge has a bath after such long walks. It is a very dog friendly lodge and site with an enclosed dog exercise area. The decking area is also fenced off with a gate.
Hideaway lodge was beautiful and very clean. The owners have maintained it to an excellent standard. It was situated in a perfect position to be able to appreciate the stunning views. The park itself was very well maintained and staff were lovely. The pub on site was very nice as well. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.
Lovely site, lovely static .. had a blast !! Would definitely recommend .. Perfect for dogs too Brilliant stay
The lodge it self was lovely and Beautiful. The condition of it was brilliant We loved the lounge and the decor. The lodge was nice and clean perfect for the weekend Thank you for the complimentary biscuits Also the DVD collection and games provided were greatly appreciated
I booked this lodge for my partner birthday along with some of our friends! And it was just perfect the hot tub was a massive selling point for us all!! But we loved how clean and homely the lodge felt. It was lovely and clean. The location was perfect and the site had some lovely facilities to be enjoyed for all ages. We will definitely be back
Really enjoyed are stay in the forest pine lodge would highly recomend fallbarrow park we have holiday at fallbarrow quite a few times and always enjoyed our stay
Whilst the park generally was a little tired in places the Lodge itself is tucked away in a little spot and feels very homely. The outdoor area and hot tub are so private and so high up you feel like you're in a tree house. The inside was cosy and comfortable. The kitchen is a little under equipped but we managed. Had a lovely week getting out and about.
Fourth year at White Cross Bay but first year not booking directly. The lodge was far superior and cheaper than booking direct. All the comforts of home but with a much improved view - already booked this lodge again for 2020 Highly recommended
Nice clean cabin on arrival. Lovely furnishings, In our view, the best views on site. Lovely sized rooms and showers. Plenty of storage. Room for two cars. Would definitely recommend Wansfell Retreat. The pony trekking people attached to the site are brilliant. The only downside for us was the onsite pub/restaurant, could have been better, in that the food and drink was just ok, wouldn’t have gone there again.
Stayed in a beautiful lodge surrounded by beautiful scenery...ideal location for Windermere And Bowness on the Lakes. Recommend a boat trip and Brockholes. Will definitely be returning. Great weather while we were there made the experience even better.
We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in The Lake District. We enjoyed staying in Windermere lodge which is spacious, very clean and cosy. It felt like we were staying in a much loved home and it had everything you need and more. We love walking and the lodge is well positioned to explore Windermere, Ambleside and beyond. It is a short walk into town and we would highly recommend the Hole in t'Wall pub. A great lodge in a beautiful location.
Very enjoyable stay , excellent on every aspect , will definitely be returning . Very handy park right in the heart of everything , easy access to all of the lakes , fantastic views across lake Windermere
Lovely comfortable lodge in a good location. Pet friendly. Had decking with gate so didn't have to worry about dogs getting out. Would recommend
Lovely lodge, no parasol over hot tub so couldn’t use in the rain. Lodge had a wet dog smell. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
We have stayed at Neildan Lodge twice now without any problems, the lodge is spacious enough to sleep 4 and entertain more if needed, Fallbarrow is a large park but never seemed busy or noisy. Bowness is a 5 minute walk from the park with plenty of eating and drinking to choose from. We would happily stay at Neildan Lodger again, with our 2 teenagers.
A nice lodge in a lovely part of the lake district. The site is quiet and placed right on windermere so lovely stroll down to the waters edge from site. It is however a nightmare to get off site and turn right. The lodge is self is nice, very spacious, lovely kitchen, veranda is fantastic to sit out on a night time but what let it down is it looks a bit tired and could do with a little tlc - wallpaper at the top was stuck with selotape as must be peeling - the bath had black mould round it and the chairs in the dining room were wobbly and loose, very damp and mouldy smell in the back bedroom. ...more
Really enjoyed our stay at Lily Tarn, we stayed Monday to Friday with our two children and dog.Had no problems with anything and it’s in a great location to explore the lakes. Would definitely return.
Good lodge - dated in places but very comfortable. Great location in a good situation - ideal for the pub. Easy access to Windermere and Bowness not to mention Ambleside. Have already booked this park for next year but unfortunately Fairfield Lodge was unavailable.
A fantastic location. Fully equipped for young children with dvds and combo tv in bedrooms plus travel cot and high chair provided. The only negative is the tv. Only had 10 channels and having young children I like to settle in front of the tv on a night time when they are in bed. Couldn’t even get catch up tv even though internet was available and accessible.
Fellside Retreat is a lovely, comfortable lodge in a great position. The lodge had everything you could need for a relaxing break. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Fellside Retreat and at Limefitt which is a superb base for exploring this part of the Lakes.
Lovely lodge and location. Set in a little cul de sac in the corner away from everyone. Lovely hot tub.
We had a brilliant week staying at Pine view lodge it was immaculately clean and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect we will be booking up again for next year thank you so much for allowing us to spend time at your lodge soaking up those beautiful views the Stubbs family
Puddleduck lodge was a beautiful lodge, well equipped and very comfortable. Booking was easy and check-in was simple. The owners have worked hard to make this lodge a home from home, by adding a lot of creature comforts. However, some attention is required to sort the television signals, but this didn’t affect us as we were too busy enjoying the hot tub and beautiful surroundings. The customer service team for Lake District Lodge Holidays we’re extremely helpful and went above and beyond, especially when I left several items of clothes in the wardrobe. Having only realised my mistake 6hours ...more
Enjoyed our stay here, the lodge was well equipped and furnished to a high standard, the site White Cross Bay is very nice, with activities for the kids in School holidays. White cross bay is in a good location near to Windermere as well as Ambleside. Overall we had a lovely three night break.
Ideal base to get about the Lakes and to come back to for a nice soak in the hot tub we really enjoyed the peace and quiet
The Lodge was old but well preserved and homely. The hot tub was excellent but weather was challenging. It did not stop raining. The pup was nice but food was poor in my opinion even for a pump quality. Overall nice site, friendly atmosphere and high recommended to friends and family. Will certainly consider revisiting
LOVED THE LODGE..IN A NICE QUIET AREA ,,,THE HOT TUB WAS VERY GOOD.....ALTHOUGH THE DECKING COULD BE IN NEED OF PAINTING....THE LODGE HAD EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR A HOLIDAY STAY..THE WOODEN FLOOR WAS BRILL FOR HAVING THE DOG..EASY TO CLEAN....BEDS WERE VERY COMFY INDEED...LOVED IT...WOULD COME BACK AND STAY NEXT YEAR......
Myself and my wife stayed here Friday to Monday on June 28th. Lodge was nice but could maybe do with updating. Was a very hot weekend but the fan wasn't working. Hot tub was fine. Nice play field for your dog. Our German Shepherd loved his stay. Onsite pub was really friendly, but a bit quiet. We ate there twice and the food was good. We have looked to stay again but would go for one of the cheaper lodges without a hot tub...the warden for the park, frim whitley bay was so helpful for us in getting something we forgot and went out of his way to help..overall we loved our stay...
We had a lovely long weekend in the Jinnyspinner Lodge and would absolutely love to return in the future. The location was perfect with walks available in the local area with a lovely pub. It was a lovely setting by the river Plenty of space for 6 people and a dog. The lodge was clean but there was a smell of dog when we arrived. If you don't have a dog you may be put off by this. We could have done with a couple more toilet rolls with there been 6 of staying. We think it would look great we some more lights outside for the evening as we were struggling to see with the one light. ...more
Woodmere lodge was lovely and quiet area of the park. The hot tub was a added bonus. We did alot of visiting Ambleside and the Chocolate factory at Hawkshead was excellent for the children on a rainy day. We were disappointed that we were not informed that we had to book swimming pool in advance therefore had to drive to Keswick for a public pool.
Lovely lodge lots of room. Hot tub amazing. Master bedroom mattress is hard and springy so couldn’t sleep on it. The other room had good mattresses. Apart from that everything was great. Really good location to the club house.
Sunny brow lodge was really lovely we had a great time needs a thorough clean however but other than that it was great
Had a lovely break with my family and dog, we all enjoyed the lodge very much it was so comfy and we all especially enjoyed the hot tub. The lodge itself was spotless with everything we needed for our stay and it is set in a great park, the kids found plenty to keep themselves occupied as did the adults. The surrounding towns and villages were beautiful plenty of lovely walks and nice place for eating out in pubs and hotels with nice people. Looking forward to booking for next year.
I cant fault the lodge, everything was clean, very well kept. Didnt have any problems while I was there had lovely time with my boyfriend. The hot tub is amazing too
We had a lovely relaxing week in the Lake District. Where we were positioned it was in a lovely quiet spot. Sitting on the balcony surrounded by beautiful countryside was a great end to a days walking up in the hills. It felt like a home from home.
We stayed in Acorn Lodge for 4 nights and we couldn’t fault it. The lodge had everything you needed. It is situated close to the lake where it was peaceful and we enjoyed most evening being able to relax on the decking area as we were lucky with the weather. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you for the lovely stay.
Nice comfortable clean lodge, quiet location. Amenities on site for rainy days, a short drive from Bowness on Windermere
We had an amazing stay at Pinehaven Lodge, White Cross Bay. This was our 3rd visit. We had a mix of ages in our party from ages 6 to 76 and there was something for everyone. The location is fab. Would highly recommend Lake District Lodge Holidays. Looking forward to our next break. Thank you LDLH.
A welcomed break, would of been excellent if the weather was better..........................................
This is the second time stopping at yew tree Lodge and both times have been lovely only let down was British weather. We also had a problem with private WiFi which the owner tried to fix for us, one other issue was a smell of wet dog on front room carpet but went after a while. We would definitely stay here again already looking for next year x a lovely lodge good value for money and owners have been brilliant.
Booked for the bank holiday weekend. Check in was painless and emailed instructions good. Lodge was very clean and comfortable with everything provided that you’ll need for your stay. Location was very good within easy reach of Bowness-on-Windermere. Now the bad parts. The WiFi is next to non existent inside the lodge and on the decking. I had to walk along the end of the road to get a descent signal. I needed this for some work I had to do while I was there. This was nearly impossible. 4g signal is also very poor. The decking is also in need of some maintenance and looks very shabby. We bro...more
The lodge was a beautiful home from home it was perfect , we took our own travel bbq which was perfect x the hot tub was great for relaxing after long walks our dog had the best time ever and the location of this lodge was bliss for nipping the dog out , it was right in the woods and dog walk area . We just loved everything about this everything perfect for a relaxing stay . I can not recommend it enough . I hope to come back next year and have recommended it to both family and friends . It was modern spacious clean and very comfortable.
Very clean lodge lools like new. Nice sized lounge where everynody can sit and with 3 bedrooms you don't feel on top of each other. Lovely hot tub on decking which is cleaned and maintained regularly but as the lodge is under 3 trees pine needles continually fall in the tub, the large decking and the table. But the trees are lovely on the site breaking up the rows and rows of lodges and caravans. Overall a great location for a base to explore around Windermere but very expensive.
Stopped here for a week, we had one problem which was sorted within 24 hrs,so cant fault it for customer service .
Never stopped on this side of Limefitt park and to be honest we prefer the other side but got to admit it was very quiet but unfortunately didn’t have the views we are used to, Hot Tub was a good addition after long Morning walks or evening after tiring days.
I know this is a dog friendly lodge We had to get a good air freshener to mask the smell of dogs Decking and outside furniture needed to be cleaned The lodge was well equipped with all that you would need The hot tub was very enjoyable after a long day walking around the area I would recommend this lodge if you was taking dogs with you
