We arrived at the lodge on the afternoon of 28th December 2018, and were greeted with a real Christmas tree, twinkly lights on the decking, a bottle of fizz and box of biscuits from the owner, and Christmas cards from the owner and all the staff at Lake District Lodge Holidays! The lodge is lovely - very tasteful decor, comfortable, really well equipped (especially the kitchen), and is in a great location on the park. The lake is less than 100m away and the childrebs play area/club house etc are no more than 5 minutes walk away. The hot tub is amazing - it has fancy lights and mini fount...more
A really lovely and clean lodge , perfect location , plenty of space , modern and well equipped , providing everything you need for a comfortable hassle free stay. With the added bonus of a washing machine and dryer . Great for a large family due to extra beds .
Had a fantastic stay here. The lodge is in a great location with fantastic views and not really overlooked. Lodge was lovely and clean, very spacious and everything we needed was provided. Our boys loved the games/ dvd and xbox which was provided which kept them amused while we were in the lodge. Site was a lovely a little more out the way than we thought it would be but wasn't a problem Some lovely walks.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The site was well kept the lodge was amazing and the on site pub was a bonus. It meant we did not have to travel off site for dinner. It is very close to Bowness and animal friendly. On our first day we walked from the lodge over Wansfell Pike to Ambleside which was harder than we first thought but was satisfying. The lodge was in a good location for us being close to Bowness and Glennridding. We have stayed in the lakes at another Lodge but Birthwaite was even nicer. We will be returning in the furture this time hopefully with a dog.
This was our second stay this year at fallbarrow glade. We loved it so much the first time in the summer we had to come to back just before Christmas. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, there is nothing more you could ask for and it is absolutely immaculate. Location wise it is fantastic, just a short walk to bowness, facilities on site are great too. Again another lovely welcome pack which is so thoughtful. Thank you also for putting the Christmas tree up. Was a lovely touch and delighted my young girls. We will be back for visit three very soon. Thank you for an amazing start to ou...more
Really enjoyed our stay, really relaxed and as it says in the title "snugg"would highly reccommend!!
We had a wonderful stay at high borrans farm. The Lodge had everything we needed, for a very comfortable stay & was spotlessly clean. It is in a very good location to walk or explore the lakes. It was our first experience in a lodge, we enjoyed it so much we are returning in April next year.
High borrans is a beautiful place to stay and to switch off from the outside world of hustle and bustle Every single need is catered for, superb lodge, superb setting, very friendly, we will definitely return and we have already recommended high borrans to friends and family
We have stayed in many lodges when visiting the lakes this one tops them all in every respect and will be the one we will be returning to in the future.
My wife and myself spent a long weekend at White Cross Bay in Stickle Ghyll lodge and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lodge is situated on the shore of Windermere next to the marina. The lodge is well furnished and very modern and well equipped. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms with wc,washing mc,dishwasher, oven, iron, three tv's.A nice little welcome pack with tea, coffee and biscuits. The site is situated between Ambleside and Windermere and has a clubhouse where you can get a choice of meals.I recommend Stickle Ghyll lodge and would hope to visit again. The hot tub was lovely bonus.
We had such a relaxing break in this beautiful lodge. Everything was immaculate and we were so comfortable. The position of the lodge was ideal, right on the riverbank and overlooking fields and hills. The balcony was a great place just to sit and relax while listening to the river bubbling past and enjoying the stunning views. We loved our stay at this lodge and hope to return next year.
Second time we have stayed at Esthwaite Lodge, first time was for a week 3yrs ago, this time just a 3 night break. Probably one of the cleanest lodges/cottages we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. Lovely and comfortable in a lovely setting and great decking area. I’m pretty sure we will visit again some time in the future, felt home from home.
Great stay in Hogh Borrans, quiet and relaxed in a great location with great facilities, had a perfect weekend in the Lake District
Great lodge has everything we needed. Hot tub was great . Location is fantastic . There was a problem with the boiler this was corrected ASAP . Many thanks
The Buena Vista lodge was fantastic, spotlessly clean with lovely decor throughout. The location of the lodge on site was great, right near the enclosed dog field and children’s playground so ideal for families. The site itself is in a great location, 10 minutes drive from Bowness so it was a great base for us for exploring round the Lakes. We also ate in the pub on site one day for lunch, lovely food & really cheap.
Stay was lovely as usuall I was disappointed that I didn't get my phone charger back that wasn't your fault as you did every thing to help and gave me 1 to keep me going as we were staying in bowness but disappointing that the cleaners didn't hand it back pleased it wasn't any thing valuable I left behind slightly worrying
For two 21 year olds, we can’t hide the fact we got a little bored. We bought some board games and our Xbox to pass the time. We took a trip into Grasmere and Kendal where there’s a few more things to do. (We highly recommend you try the Grasmere gingerbread, and the chocolate shop in Kendal!!) Customer service was ‘OK’ purely for the fact that we didn’t once see any member of staff during our stay. The lodge it’s self is so cosy and beautiful, and comes with everything you could possibly need, unless you’re some sort of culinary artist. All in all, this really was a relaxing get away. Be ...more
We was absolutley amaze how good the lodge was, you feel like at home, kids didn't want to leave. Close to windermere lake side. Can't wait for another visit, and yes - this would be my choice again. Best regards
Lovely cabin we enjoyed our 3 nights here. Cabin is immaculate very well built, it’s lovely and cosy. It’s in a nice area only a couple minutes from town centre Windermere and if you are looking to go for some nice walks or just too relax I recommend this cabin very much. Will be back again in future at some point to try another cabin here. Thanks for everything
We stayed over the new year period, we have stayed in many lodges but this was one of the best and it was all the little things the lodge had that made it great! It has a great layout, spacious and great for our 9 month old baby and Labrador too! The hot tub was a lovely addition for a little treat!
We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Ewe View. The lodge was comfy and had everything you needed for your stay. Fantastic position facing the hills and elevated. The hot tub was great to come back to after a walk especially in October.
Cottontail lodge is an absolutely magnificent lodge with all amenities available at the drop of a hat, it’s got to be one of the nicest lodges on site, clean, well set out, modern and warm everything was exactly as expected
Our stay at Somerford lodge was lovely. A beautiful lodge very clean. We would definitely return and tell our family and friends about this lovely lodge.
Had a fabulous weekend getaway to High Borrans Grove. The lodge was amazing, spotless and the kitchen was well equipped. Also very close to lake windermere/Grasmere for day trips. Would love to return in the spring for another stay. Highly recommend!
We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Spinney, it was well appointed, comfortable, clean and warm. There are walks directly from the lodge or a short drive. We will definately return in the near future.
We looked the cabin and hot tub It was very clean and comfortable We would definitely book again .
Our stay at Horseshoe Lodge was perfect. A couple of lights weren’t working on arrival but after a phone call they were fixed immediately. Punctual service. The lodge was beautiful, clean and had a lovely welcoming feel. The setting was idyllic. Can’t wait to go back.
I recently stayed at Selamat Lodge and it was the best trip I booked in ages. From day one of booking the customer service was fantastic right through to arriving and the small touch of leaving a bottle of wine for when I arrived. The place was well equipped and they really thought of everything. I had such an amazing time I’ve recommended the place already and looking to rebook again next year.
Clean, pleasant and comfortable lodge - was lovely to be able to walk into Bowness, and appreciate the lake and scenery.
Second year staying in this excellent lodge. Very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Hot tub very relaxing. Great location, did not need to use the car. The site itself is very well looked after. Will be back next year.
Herdwick lodge was perfect place to stay. Inside had everything you could think of and the decking had the most amazing views you could wish for. I will be booking this lodge again
Fabulous lodge , great location , very comfortable and dog friendly. Usually lodges that are dog friendly are not of this quality - this was a super lodge and provided everything that you could possibly need - hot tub was a big bonus.Owners were fantastic - allowed us to swap weeks as our Labrador Paddy, had to have an operation on our original booked week - big thank you. The arrival instructions provided for the lodge and communication was wonderful and really helpful. Will definitely be back.
Excellent!! Will be staying here again very soon. The hit tub is fabulous, the lodge is fabulous too.
Fab location in a beautiful place lodge was luxurious and the hot tub was fab as was the swimming pool and facility’s on site
Great lodge in a great location. I would recommend staying at the swallowdale lodge. Can’t waiit to return.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Keswick lodge. The lodge itself was very clean, comfortable, modern and well equipped to a high standard. The views from the lodge were beautiful. It's location on Limefitt Park was fantastic, only a short drive to the popular visitor attractions and shops in Windermere and Ambleside. The park itself was tranquil and quiet, yet family friendly offering a good play area and a handy little shop for the essentials. We would definitely visit again and recommend to family and friends.
We had a lovely stay in Puddleduck Lodge which was immaculate & very comfortable with everything you needed. The hot tub was fabulous with lovely lights & it was roasting hot. Our lodge was just around the corner from the lake which had beautiful views. We ate & drank in the bar/restaurant & the food was beautiful, it had entertainment on in the evening. There's also a pool table & tv's. The swimming pool looked lovely although we didn't use it. I would say though that we found the park quite dark & we think that additional lighting could be added, especially at the entrance where the barriers...more
Had a great weekend in this Fabulous lodge. Outdoor space is amazing and we made full use of it with the gorgeous weather we had. Really comfy sofa and chairs on the south facing decking, we even had a barbecue. The park is so peaceful and very clean. The lodge itself is beautiful with 3 good sized bedrooms with very comfy beds. The large open plan lounge was perfect and the kitchen area was fab with all cooking facilities you could need, we didn’t even go out and made full use of the facilities in the lodge. Would highly recommend this lodge. Thank You for a wonderful stay.
Apart from the tiny thin road to get to the lodge, we had no problems. Fantastic lodge in brilliant condition, warm and cosy. Had a great few days break with my partner. Has everything you would need.
Lovely lodge nice and clean felt like home, was nice to see Christmas decorations also. Would stay there again.
Lovely weekend at ghyll lodge , beautiful place the park was clean and the club house was brilliant , the staff were exceptional especially Joshua and Jackie in the bar area , would definitely come back in fact can’t wait to book again , lodge was beautiful aswell no complaints at all , I had a problem with the toilet in rhydall lodge I rang up and it was dealt with quickly and efficiently, fantastic service Thank you
Our fifth break with Lake District Lodge Holidays. As usual the standard of their lodges was great. The lodge was clean and had all facilities to make it "home from home".
We stayed at Beech Hill for a week over New Year. We have stayed at Fallbarrow Park for many years in a privately rented lodge right on the lake but, we could not book that lodge for New Year so, we booked Beech Hill. I have to say we were not disappointed with our choice at all. The lodge was immaculately clean, very spacious given that there was a utility room and walk in wardrobe, very comfortable and tastefully decorated, they even had a Christmas tree up. The lodge was set back from the lake in a quiet, wooded area, with partial lake view, there was a steep hill to get to the lodge when w...more
Never been to the lakes b4 I’m from Manchester omg it was absolutely gorgeous the location of the lodge where we stayed was fantastic clean fresh well catered for inc cutlery plates even down to hand wash washing up liquid basically all that you needed was to bring yourself & clothing the secure decking was good as I took my dog lucie omg she absolutely enjoyed took her on the boat to Bowness never known her to sleep that much cream crackered her you would not be disappointed to stay here
Stayed here over the christmas period. Lodge was decorated lovely for the festive period and presents were even left for us under the tree by Jim the owner which was a lovely touch. Could not fault anything during our stay. Lodge was perfect, internet connection in the lodge was excellent and would highly recommend.
I have stayed at Rydal before and loved it. Just a few little bits... Oven needs a deep clean. The mirror lights in bathrooms not working. The hot tub tv? Had trouble last time does it even have one? Freezer needs defrosting. TV & WIFI for the money you pay in any lodge a better TV package and WiFi be a good idea. Other than those little things we had a great stay. Will definitely return.
WIndermere Lodge was sparkling clean, extremely comfortable and in a wonderful position in Fallbarrow. We found the fixtures and fittings first class which added an extra dimension to the Lodge. It was light and spacious and everything looked and felt well cared for. We felt very lucky to have discovered such a "gem" and would like to thank the owners very much for allowing us to stay in their beautiful Lodge.
We had stayed at white cross bay before but in a different lodge. The resort is lovely, the lodge this time was ok. A few gripes - the cleanliness could of been better, there was a few cobwebs around. The hot tub was great but there was no lighting at all so was a little dangerous especially this time of year, so that could of been better. Would we stay at the lodge again - probably not
Amazing lodge with amazing views, the lodge was extremely clean and more than comfortable in a perfect setting.
We stayed at Limefitt park Sunny Bank lodge for a new year break. The location in the lakes was ideal and the lodge was beautiful and very comfortable with stunning views. We received a welcome pack on arrival at the lodge and it was decorated for the Christmas season, we thoroughly enjoyed our break and would definitely recommend.
Had a FANTASTIC time for our Birthday wkend. Location was the BEST lodge was fantastic but they always are when you book through Lake District Lodge Holidays. Just WISH could've stayed longer than two nights to wake up to that view was like been in paradise.
Overall I thought that our stay at crag helm was amazing it was a lovely lodge and we will definitely be coming back again to stay with youselves in the new year.
All we can say is "WOW" absolutely loved it, would highly recommend to anyone. Perfect location and the Lodge it's self was stunning. Lovely to wake up with views of the lake, and even better to come back to on a night time after aday on the hills, to relax in the hot tub. Had an amazing stay thank you. Kind Regards Steve Lewis
Troutbeck retreat is a superb spacious lodge, well equipped and very comfortable. The lodge was clean and in a good location on the park. The park was well maintained and has a dog field, the staff were very friendly. We have stayed at troutbeck retreat before and would go back again
We had a very enjoyable Christmas at Valley View - with all the home comforts we needed! The Christmas tree and other decorations provided helped make it very festive! We were extremely comfortable and were able to relax and enjoy a very Happy Christmas away from the stress and strain of everyday life, and no extended family to spoil it! Only the weather put a dampener on things a bit, but being in the Lake District, we did expect rain, but it was really just misty. Nonetheless when the sky was clear, the landscape was spectacular.
Sheffield Pike is a lovely 3 bed lodge but could be improved by upgrading the some of the kitchen equipment - for example, all the sharp knives (for food prep) were extremely blunt. There are oodles of wine glasses but not enough tumblers and no (child friendly) plastic tumblers or plastic plates. We were there with 3 children following a week in a smaller cottage (and much cheaper) in Wales where there was every kitchen utensil you could ask for, plastic cups and plates and an array of cooking dishes. I appreciate some people eat out all the time, but others don't and it is a self-catering ...more
We enjoyed a 5 night stay over new year at Cedar Lodge we were comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay on arrival we had to get the hot tub looked at as it wasn’t heating up so that was unfortunate as we wanted to get straight in but a kind man servecing my sister in laws took a look and apparently the cleaning cycle was set to high (6 times a day) meaning the hot tub could only reach peak temp for minimum times so reduced the cleaning cycle to twice daily from then on the tub was a lovely temp consistently throughout the rest of our stay would have booked again for this year but it’s alre...more
Wonderful lodge in a quiet corner. Spacious and very clean. All home comforts making it a really enjoyable stay and could easily stay for a longer break. Beds very comfortable. Showers fab. Lots of outside space and a fab hot tub. Owners have put a lot of thought and effort in to making this a very desirable holiday home. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
A lovely lodge for a much needed rest! Myself, husband and two children and of course our cockapoo had a lovely stay at badgers hollow. The heating and lights were on for our arrival, the lodge was immaculate with dvd’s, games and books available. Great location for exploring the lakes and we loved relaxing in the hot tub in the evening. We had contact numbers should we have had any issues (which we didn’t) easy to book and good correspondence from company. I would definitely book again.
Lovely weekend break, but could easily have stayed longer, lodge had everything we needed. We would stay in the white swan lodge again .
Great lodge in amazing location some great walks and pubs nearby for good food will definitely return again
We spent Xmas in ramblers rest and it was lovely. Obviously the on site pub had holiday hours and sometimes no food available but we were pre warned and took plenty of provisions. Also the pub staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. We spent time with other members of family who had also booked lodges. We’ve stayed at limefitt park a few times in different lodges and have enjoyed every one and hopefully will continue to do so .
Great lodge well equipt very clean fantastic views however a little too far from the lake to walk with our young gandchildren
We had a excellent stay at the lodge, beautiful location, facilities were brilliant. The hot was ready to go on arrival. I was really impressed with the little things that were in place such as a basket in the kitchen with tea, coffee biscuits, dishwasher tablets etc, really well thought out. And very clean. Will certainly book again
on arrival we found the lodge had been decorated for xmas and lots of xmas extras (eg napkins, crockery, etc) which was lovely. The lodge was warm and cosy with beautiful views. Plenty to do over Christmas with craft functions on as well as festive activities, swimming pool, bar and restaurant open as well as lovely walks and visits to Bowness.
From booking to the end of stay, the whole experience with langdale lodge and lake district lodge holidays has been excellent and so stress free. The lodge itself is fab. We have stayed in others on whitecross bay but this is our favourite. It’s ‘hidden away’ position means privacy and quietness. It has a lovely large furnished decked area and the hot tub was an amazing way to spend Christmas Day morning! On arrival we were greeted by a lovely gift (bubbly and chocs) wrapped for Christmas. A beautifully dressed tree and decorations throughout the living room added to the whole Christmas expe...more
A Lovely holiday lodge well kitted out with everything you need.very clean and comfortable .I would recommend this lodge
All of our party enjoyed the stay at wansfell retreat lodge we cannot wait while next year.we keep trying new lodges each one very nice.
This lodge was clean and tidy and provided a fantastic base to explore our favourite parts of the Lake District. Sadly a couple of extras were missed like a washing machine and dishwasher which are available in other lodges. White Cross Bay offered a lovely bar but the swimming pool took your breath away it was so cold - at this time of the year it would be better if it was heated more especially with little ones. We will definitely be back again.
We have stayed at this lodge quite a few times usually in the summer months but this was a break with 14 other family members all in different lodges for the festive break. We love the location of the lodge and the homlyness of it. We thought it might be a cold in lodge given the time of year but we were proven wrong it was so warm. We dined at the Haybarn a few nights and have no complaints there, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be booking again.
Although we really enjoyed our stay there was a big problem with the decking which was very slippy by the door and on the steps. My husband who is disabled found this quite hazardous. Suggest you put some form o gripping down.
We stayed here for our mini-moon, it was perfect, lovely and warm and homely, hot tub was amazing and very hot.. the site was clean and equipped, the bar area served good pub grub and was fairly priced... great location within the park as it’s tucked away and the park itself is a half hour walk to Windermere and Bowness. The lodge was clean and well equipped with essentials. An added bonus is that Asda do a delivery to the park so we didn’t even have to go looking for a supermarket. Overall excellent and would highly recommend bramble bank.
We have stayed at Esk Pike on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The lodge is perfect for us and in a great location. Staff on site are all very friendly and helpful, and communication is excellent, with texts and emails giving information and contact details leading up to the break. Cannot fault anything. We have had another lovely break, and it was great seeing the family of deer again wandering around in the mornings!
Wow what can we say? This was our 7th consecutive stay at Limefitt Park and our 1st time in Striding Edge Lodge. We always stayed in the Beckside area of the park but this year fancied a change and chose Striding Edge and we weren't disappointed. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and a real home from home. It had everything we needed and more. We had our 18month old with us and found the lodge to be warm and cosy as well as spacious. The fridge and freezer are of good size and it was helpful having the family bathroom as well as the en suite. We didn't feel over looked at all and we really ...more
Great stay as spacious for large family and dog..big lounge ..excellent master bedroom with own walk in wardrobe...had to be careful when both showers in use as power dropped but that was a minor thing.. as it rained it was good we had free use of choices health club to use the pool...
Booking was easy was kept updated every step of the way. great lodge and location. could not fault it in any way.
Thank you for a fantastic stay in your beautiful lodge. Lake District Holidays went above and beyond to help me organise my stay. They were exceptionally friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The lodge was out of this world.
My friends and I enjoyed a very comfortable mini break in this delightful lodge - glimpses of the lake through the trees, home from home comforts, SO near to Bowness and all the beauty that holds. Would recommend this to anyone - fab!
Popped into the lakes for a weekend for our anniversary First time we have taken our Cocker, and found the lodge an excellent place overall for our stay. Clean and well equipped Loads of room on the decking for Jasper to patrol and a gate to keep him safe. Hot tub was ace and the lodge is in a great position. Had a very relaxing time. Tv and WiFi reception was a bit iffy but We were on holiday so loads of other things to do and see. Club house is good what more could you want.
Perfect log cabin with everything needed for a relaxing weekend away with friends. Will definitely stay again.
We had a fantastic 5 day stay and will definitely be going back! The lodge had everything you needed and some extra little touches too such as reading books, dvds, games and puzzles. The grounds were beautiful as were the views and the location was ideal for us being so close to many beautiful little villages. The onsite pub was so good we went twice! All in all an excellent break for the 3 of us and our dog.
First family Christmas away ever and it was amazing. Sitting in the hot tub every night looking up at the stars. The lodge was fantastic and extremely comfy. Thank you Thirlmere Lodge.
Fantastic lodge and site. We were up for a swimming weekend but a bit disappointed we weren't able to swim straight out into the lake from the waterfront area.
The lodge was clean, warm and comfortable with the hot tub a welcome added luxury! The location is a perfect base for exploring the local area as well as having many facilities onsite to keep us busy and entertained. Thank you for a lovely break in the lakes!
Didn’t sleep well ,hard mattress,slept on couch,noisy fire,but overall a lovely lodge,had a good time,go again!
I’m filling this review in for my parents this was their first time in a Lodge and they were amazed at the home from home feel of the lodge.
It was our first visit to this site, was apprehensive with taking our dogs for the first time.we needn't have worried though. The cabin was in a good position, everything was as stated on the website. Dogs are well provided for too.there was a field specifically for dogs to be walked on.also the pub on site was dog friendly, including snacks on the bar available for your companions. All in all had a great time there. Plenty of local walks if you don't want to get in your car,but also not far to drive to Windermere and other places around the lakes.. We have already booked for a return visit.
Oakwood Lodge was very nice, clean, cosy, and the position made it feel safe but secluded. There is a very little bit of damp in the wardrobe in the main bedroom but other than that it was very comfortable and I enjoyed staying there very much.
Wonderful stay at this very comfortable and clean lodge which exceeded our expectations. The lodge has everything you needs, including lots of utensils, cling film, sugar, oil, and washing up liquid. There are DVDs and games. The heating is wonderful and the lodge is very cozy even when it's cold outside, you won't need your fleecy PJs. The beds are super comfy with quality bedding, we are going back without a doubt, the site is peaceful and the staff are ready and willing to help with any queries. Would highly recommend, what a beautiful little retreat!
Lovely relaxing break for new year..lodge is lovely hot tub is great...only went onto site once to watch footy but club seemed ok and they serve food
Stayed here over Christmas and was amazing. Had lovely time. Very clean and spacious inside will definitely be returning
Spacious lodge , helped having 2 bathrooms . Close to the clubhouse , and parking out front of the lodge which was good .
We enjoyed are stay but the lodge needs a bit of work in place. Like the kitchen area doors, oven and fridge door. Also we had a lot of centipedes in the lounge area and kitchen which put me off. And light wasn’t working when you come through the front door.
Had a brilliant stay here last weekend! The lodge was beautifully maintained and comfortable. The lodge isn’t fair from the main entrance and easy to find when you go through the barriers. I cannot fault anything we will be returning! Thanks!
Lovely stay. Such a warm cosy and private cabin. Enjoyed sitting on the large patio watching the river and local wildlife.
We had a fantastic holiday at Tall Trees Lodge. Lake district lodge holidays are always a pleasure to book with and seem to genuinely care that you enjoy your stay. White cross bay is fairly central and children friendly. Lots of things to do not too far away. You would probably need a car or transport to eat out at night. We used the pool on site, you have to book a time slot to swim which initially put us off, but actually it works out quite well as there is plenty of room to swim. The kids enjoyed Wray castle, very child friendly. We ate at the onsite restaurant a couple of times, it's not ...more
Beautiful setting overlooking the stream with the mountains rising at the back.Great outdoor area ( weather permitting) but hot tub used no matter what even though it was a little too hot for us!! All in all it was a lovely stay.
The lodge was perfect, location was perfect The view from the hot tub looking onto the lake was amazing We really enjoyed it and we will definitely be back
A lovely week in the gorgeous Lake District, that never fails to disappoint whatever the weather. Our accommodation was faultless and all the family including our 2 spaniels had a wonderful time. We hope to return in the not too distant future!
Stayed at this lodge a few years running now, perfect break away just before Christmas will be returning again next year!
Nice week in a lovely location but we did have some issues. This was our second stay at this lodge, the first time we had no issues. However, this time we did. The blinds were broken with some of the blinds missing and others detattched meaning people could see into our lodge. The floor was dirty with mud when we first walked in which was extremely disappointing.
This is the second time we’ve stayed at owls book. The location is brilliant with a clean well presented lodge and added benefit of a hot tub to relax after a long day on the hills. Great to have such a nice place that is dog friendly. A few niggles, since our first stay the fridge freezer has obviously broken and been replaced with a much smaller one with only a tiny freezer box. The bed mattresses are also very hard but they are clean and good enough to be able to get a good nights sleep. Overall it’s a great place to stay and somewhere we will definitely be back to.
Lovely cabin, plenty of room, good facilities, only 2 bad points i can think of, gas fire ignition didnt work, but managed to use lighter. Garden furniture was a bit dirty too, could have done with a clean so we could use it. Other than that everything was great.
Myself and 2 of my close friends stayed here for seven days. Fantastic accomodation and very close the Keswick. Would recommend
Excellent accommodation only let down the site facilities and broken boiler in the pool and the pool booking service
The lodge had everything you need for a comfortable stay. We have stayed on this park several times previously and always found the lodges to be cleaned to a high standard.Unfortunately this time our accommodation hadn't been cleaned very well before our arrival. However this didn't spoil our holiday and we had a lovely break.
Lovely stay at this lodge, the only issue was during our stay the kids wanted to go on the aqua jets, however even though advertised and being told by staff they were on (including delaying travelling home on our last day) they were never on.
Tranquil waters is set in an idyllic location with amazing views. The hot tub was huge & a great asset to the lodge. The lodge could do with updating & there was a strong damp smell which appeared to be coming from the main bathroom. This did not however affect our stay.
