Fantastic lodge, brilliant surroundings. ...........................................................................
The park was easy enough to find and as soon as we saw it we started to feel relaxed. A small, quiet park set in woodland it really is beautiful. We were a little early so had a drink in the dog friendly bar. Once our lodge was ready we were shown around it and it was a lovely surprise to see we had a small sauna. The lodge itself was spacious and comfortable and would be lovely for Christmas. We also had a drive into Grange Over Sands. I was pleasantly surprised. We had a nice walk along the prom with the dogs (note that there were some bangs when we waljwd along the prom- I guess from a shoo...more
Lovely clean lodge in a fantastic area of the park, very quiet and private. All the essentials are provided and plenty of space for coats and muddy boots!
A magnificent lodge with many extras added. Comfort and coziness is first and foremost in Fallbarrow Glade. Everything you need for a perfect stay ina luxury lodge. This has to be the best lodge in the park. Scrupulously clean and well equipped. This is our third stay at Fallbarrow Glade and it never fails to deliver. Lovely welcome pack also....... Can't wait to return.
Very nice clean cabin far enough away to be quiet but close enough to everything so that you didn’t feel isolated. Lots of mod cons. Would be good for short or long stays.
Lovely Lodge in a relaxing location. Everyone we spoke/came across from booking staff to the park staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Beautiful views of the hills from every window. All facilities were brilliant and the fact that we could bring our 2 dogs made the week. Would thoroughly recommend.
We had a relaxing 4 night stay at the lodge with just about everything you would need. Perfect location just a minutes walk to the reception/bar/restaurant on site & just 5 minutes walk into Bowness. Would highly recommend this lodge & would return again. Great welcome pack which was very thoughtful.
Deer leap lodge was a wonderful lodge in a prime location right by the stream. The lodge itself was extremely clean and beautifully furnished. I would highly recommend staying here. We will be back again in the future!
Lovely stay in a very welcoming and comfortable lodge. Everything you could possibly need was supplied
Absolutely fantastic lodge in a beautiful setting. Have recommended to family and friends and will absolutely be returning to High Borrans! Everything you need with the highest possible quality inside. Some lovely personal touches too which made the stay so much better than in a hotel or B&B.
Was clean, comfortable a good place too spend a couple of days. Would go back. Very peaceful and relaxing
Arrived late teatime on Friday, directions to Lodge were easy to find even in the dark. The park had made a tremendous effort to celebrate Halloween with a lot of activities for the children. Our Lodge was in a perfect location to enjoy the stunning views especially in the early morning and early evening. We didn't need to use our cars once there. as we enjoyed walking and hopping on and off the bus (every 20 minutes) to get to other places within the area. I would most certainly recommended this Park, so much in fact that I am returning again at the end of November.
This was our third stay at Mere lodge. Beautiful place to stay no matter what the weather throws at you and there is lots to do around the area. The lodge is exquistie in every way and if you enjoy cooking everything is available for you the oven cooks a good roast we had our Christmas Day 3 course meal there last year.. Back again in May 2020 Happy days.
This lodge is spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The walk in wardrobe is especially useful with lots of storage space. I enjoyed the hot tub very much it's not overlooked and therefore, gives adequate privacy. if you intend to visit the Haybarn, this lodge is just a few steps away. the dog bowls, throws, towels and doggy treats were an added bonus. I fully intend to use this lodge again in the future. We had a very enjoyable stay.
Another fabulous stay at high borrans lodges. Peace and quiet with stunning scenery. Lodges are high spec and Cathy an excellent host
Fabulous stay and will return Great lodge and great location Loads of space and fantastic hot tub Lake District Holidays were very easy and great value
The holiday was most enjoyable from the help we received at the time of booking to actually staying in the Lodge which had all the facilities we needed together with great views and peace and quiet. We were lucky with the weather and the first thing we did on arrival was to sit on the decking and enjoy the sunshine. After a hectic summer this was the perfect break.
Enjoyed 11 days at Loughrigg Lodge. The lodge had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. On arrival the lodge was lovely and clean. Checking in was quick and efficient. We had a few meals at the Haybarn along with visiting The Queens Head a few times. The staff in both were very friendly and welcoming.
Wonderful place to stay to escape the usual routine. Loved having our Betsy on a breakaway with us. All you need to relax and unwind in wonderful surroundings. Hope to return again next year for our anniversary again
My partner and I had a lovely long weekend at High Borrans in September. The Shepherds hut is absolutely gorgeous, with lots of lovely personal touches and the setting/views are amazing. The location is great, we walked into Windermere a few times and tried out some of the beautiful walks that you can go on straight from the hut's front door! We would definitely return and have recommended to all our friends since we got back!
The lodge at High Borrans, Dene, met all expectations and more. The lodge itself had been cleaned to a high spec, and it contained all of the equipment you could need on a lake district holiday (inluding a very warm hallway cupboard to dry boots and clothing after a long walk). The bathroom was particularly impressive, with a large walk in rainfall shower and deep free standing bath. The main room contained an electric fire, and the heating was extremely efficient, great for our stay in October. The location suited us perfectly, with only a few lodges nearby in a very peaceful spot of the lake...more
Lovely, spacious, clean lodge. Comfortable living space and bedrooms, great facilities and internet access. Perfect for taking your dog, only a 5 minute walk to the dog field, secure veranda and the utility makes it easy to dry/ sort your pooch before allowing it in the living area. Site is picturesque, clean and very quiet & the on-site pub (which allows dogs) is fab. 10/15 minutes drive to Windermere/ Bowness, both great places to visit/ drink/ eat...so dog friendly! We had a lovely relaxing weekend and will definitely be booking again.
have been here before and really enjoyed our latest stay. lovely lodge, warm, comfortable. hope to return again.
The cabin was lovely inside and beautifully located for the most amazing view! Would definitely stay again. Just one thing to mention was on our last day there was no hot water or heating, but other than that a great stay.
Lovely lodge in a perfect location, highly recommended. We even had lunch out on the decking in November due to the sun trap position, what more can you ask for?
Stunning Views from White Cross Bay Park, convenient by bus, car, or walk to Bowness & Windermere towns
We stayed here for 4 nights during the October half term. The communication prior was excellent and we checked in easily on the day. The lodge was modern, clean and comfortable and a perfect base to explore the Lakes. The park is right next to the Lake and the lodge itself a 30 second walk from the lake. We used the indoor swimming pool for the kids pool party and ate a couple of times in the bar/restaurant. It was very busy and sometimes reception couldn’t cope with the numbers but that was a seperate entity and not part of Lake District Holidays. We will certainly return!
We have a love for the lakes and visit regularly, on this occasion we have children therefore searched for a camp complex style holiday with extras for little ones. I came across Stickle Ghyll Lodge and what a gem it was. Spotless inside with a very open modern twist to it, the external of the lodge was slightly tired compared to the other lodges but the views and location were next to none. It was a real home from home experience! 100% recommended from me
This is a lovely clean lodge, which was perfect for our week away. Location makes it very easy to visit different parts of the Lakes. It's only 10 minutes drive or so to the nearest shops and pubs....theres a pub on site too with friendly staff and a pub grub type menu. The hot tub was great, and is private due to the frosted glass round that part of the veranda. All furniture, beds etc were comfy and in good condition. It was very cosy when you put the heating on. You can see the other side of the valley from the lodge. Would recommend to others.
Lovely lodge set in a beautiful location just right for a get away from normality. The hot tub was excellent even in the rain.
Excellent location easy walk into Bowness , lovely lodge , very clean and relaxing, only thing we found the king size bed mattress dipped on one side, so uncomfortable to sleep on , also a clothes airier would be very useful as not all clothes are tumble dry able, and after a week of rain we had nowhere to hang our wet things to dry . Lodge in a Quiet part of Fellbarrow park , Enjoyed our stay will visit again . Also our dog loved it .
Daffodils Lodge is the best lodge that we have stayed in to date, it has all the amenities that you require is in excellent condition and is in a good location within the park. We would have no hesitation on using this lodge again on our next visit to the lakes and if available on our next visit we will definitely look to book this lodge again. With regards to customer service this next comment is not in relation to the service we received from Lake District Holiday Lodges. We cannot understand why you cannot get a coffee in the on site bar after 5pm at night. On return from a day out we poppe...more
Lovely welcome bottle of wine and as usual immaculate lodge. I would highly recommend buttermere lodge to everyone.
What a wonderful Holiday Park White Cross Bay is and we had 11 nights in the Waters Edge Luxury Holiday Lodge. The Park was well maintained and the lodge was just great and very, very clean. My wife was never out of the hot tub. We were very disappointed in one thing. On arrival home we tried to book the same lodge for the same time next year and found it was totally booked throughout 2020.. So we had to book another lodge, shame.
The lodge was in a convenient location. Overall the condition was good, but a few minor repairs wouldn’t go amiss. The only part we didn’t enjoy was the bed in the master bedroom. The mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable. After looking at it I would imagine it’s probably as old as the lodge. When you’re paying over £600 for 4 nights you expect to have a good standard of mattress in the bedrooms. The hot tub was excellent and well maintained. Overall we enjoyed our stay here but probably wouldn’t book this lodge again.
We came back to Limefitt Park for our anniversary as we do every year. We stayed here at Fellhaven. The weather that weekend was gloriously hot. Inside the lodge was welcoming and had everything you would need. It felt very homely. The sofas was a little uncomfortable as they were quite narrow and you couldn’t relax to well in them if an evening but as we were out most of the day it didn’t really bother us (we are not big people either!!). The lodge had dvds, games and a PlayStation if needed which is a fab idea for those wet weather days. At the end of the day it was lovely to get into a c...more
Lovely lodge in a great location! Great facilities and a lovely quiet site. Will definitely return!
Stayed for 3 nights and had an amazing time. The lodge is so clean and very welcoming. Also he staff around the park were great.
Excellent location, quiet, lovely walks on doorstep, easy if you have dog/s. Less than a 10 minute drive into Windermere. Lodge is beautifully kept highly recommended.
On arrival the lodge was beautiful and so clean looked even better than in the photos. The owners had supplied everything you needed . The beds and furniture were extremely comfy and great having a shower room as well as a bath room. It was in a good position in the park, even with the nearby lodges occupied it was quiet. Also it was a bonus to find that we were able to sit in the club house with our dogs in the designated dog friendly area.
Stayed at Fallbarrow a few times now and it never disappoints. Shoreside Lodge is a beautiful compact lodge, perfect for our party of 3 for 4 nights. Main bedroom is a bit of a squeeze with no wardrobe space but not a problem for a short break and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
A very enjoyable break, well equipped lodge in an deal location with good parking and a great private hot tub.
We booked 2 nights over the October half term holiday. We wished we’d booked longer. Fantastic lodge, very modern and to a high standard beautiful location. The one slight issue we had was fixed immediately so congratulations for the great customer service.
This is a beautiful lodge. It’s spacious and airy with nice touches from the owners. Everything was top quality. We have stayed in many lodges over the years and this is the best yet.
Fantastic lodge in a quiet location. Ideal for a relaxing break away. Everything from start to finish was perfect. The sunnybank lodge had everything and more. The owners have provided lots of added touches that it makes it a home from home. The onsite pub was great too. Already thinking about booking again for next year.
Beautiful location and not far from all major sightseeing points within the Windermere region. The lodge is well maintained and provided the 'home from home' experience that we wanted. The lodge is lovingly furnished and provides additional unexpected features such as children's games and a range of DVD options for the whole family. The outdoor space is excellent and perfect for sitting out and enjoying the spectacular views. The on-site activities are great for young children (park, zip wire etc.) and it even has its own pub restaurant with scheduled entertainment most nights! We couldn't fau...more
Our family fully enjoyed the lodge and its facilities, especially the large cosy hot hub. The lodge is spacious and well appointed. It sits in an ideal location and is very clean with all home comforts available.
Perfect homely lodge just the right size for a small family. Well equipped lodge with the added benefit of a washer/dryer and the bonus of a coffee machine!
This lodge is probably the nicest lodge we’ve stayed in at White Cross Bay. Loved the hot tub as it was quite private. Close to the amenities on the park and the lake. We would definitely book this lodge again.
Lovely lodge very clean and in a perfect location the site was very clean and had everything you needed for a perfect stay and we were lucky to have some beautiful weather
A beautiful lodge only a few metres from the lake. Stunning views from the deck and inside the lodge. It was fairly well equipped for the 6 of us. White Cross Bay is a lovely park and in a great location for exploring. We had a lovely week.
Excellent stay at Damson Lodge. Stayed on the site a number of times in the past and this cabin/location was great - Clean, comfortable, and spacious. Would definitely book again!
Lovely lodge for our break. Hot tub was very relaxing. Lodge was well appointed and clean. Our only issue was a dirty grill pan left in the oven. Would love to stay there again but I believe it’s not going to be available next year.
Even though the weather wasnt good we had a lovely short break away. The lodge was very nice . Modern, spacious and very tastefully decorated . A real home from from home and the location of the park is lovely and relaxing .
Wow we have had a fantastic couple of days lodge is very clean very well equipped and of a very good standard. Hot tub was amazing and huge. Will definitely be coming again highly recommended.
We very much enjoyed staying at Valley view. The lodge had a lovely homely atmosphere and we were properly able to relax and enjoy the facilities on offer. The pub was great too and the park was in an excellent location for visiting attractions.
Beautiful clean lodge with all home comforts. Amazing views from the lodge. Perfect location for walking with our dog and exploring the Lake District.
The full site is lovely cant fault thr place. Will be back here at least once a year. It's very peaceful and clean. Highly recommend.
the lodge was fabulous, maybe the hot tub could be a tad more secluded from our neighbours window but that aside we had no grumbles whatsoever, excellent location
We chose this cabin on short notice for an upcoming holiday. It turned out to be a relaxing weekend in a comfortable and well-equipped cabin. The sound of the river can be heard inside. It
Booking in to the lodge was very easy. The lodge itself was clean and tidy and extremely well equipped for our family stay, having all the modern conveniences we needed. I would definitely recommend this lodge and park (especially if you have a dog). We will definitely stay again!
Well equipped, clean and modern with fabulous sunset view of the lake. Value for money and easy booking process. Access to choices health club was a nice touch. Whitecross bay provides a good base to explore the area. Well recommended
Could not fault this lodge, beautiful inside and out. Perfect location. Would highly recommend to anybody. Probably the nicest place in the uk!
An excellent lodge located in a good area of the resort, located at the end of the 'road', yet pathway providing a short way to the main resort amenities. The lodge was well laid out and comfortable, the wifi being available was an extra bonus. This was our second stay at this lodge and it won't be the last.
Excellent stay. Would recommend this lodge to anyone who wants a nice relaxing long weekend in the lakes.
Excellent stay again, great lodge, very quiet location, and a five minute walk into Bowness. Looking forward to the next time already....
Just stayed for 4 nights. the lodge is in great condition and is set in the perfect location for access to Bowness. No complaints.
Lovely lodge, beautiful views, lovely park (although a lot more could be added like a bigger shop, more activities for the kids like archery or a club/centre for them maybe evening discos etc.) The free access to the local swim spa and gym was a nice touch however it wasn’t the best. The pool wasn’t anything to shout about, the changing facilities were poor and dirty no private rooms etc. The lodge was very comfy and very posh and it was one of the cheapest options. A lot was included. However better WiFi is needed and whoever cleans it needs to pay more attention to detail. Streaky tiles/...more
A cosy well equipped lodge, with walks available directly from the lodge or around the area just a short drive away. Would definitely go back again to use as a base to explore the many walks available from the park.
We have stayed in a few lodges booked through Lake District Lodge Holidays and always found the lodges to be clean and of a good standard. However, this lodge was dirty when we arrived. The floors were very unclean and covered in dog hair and the lodge had a distinct ‘dog’ smell (presumably from the owners own dog), we have a toddler so this was hardly ideal. When contacting Lake District Lodges, they were extremely helpful and arranged for the lodge to be cleaned again. They also informed us that this lodge is privately owned so the owners source their own cleaners. I wouldn’t be put off fr...more
Overall ok, the lodge had a small kitchen area which was an issue with 4 adults and 2 children. We've had other lodges previously and never experienced this issue before.
The lodge was exceptionally clean, all modern facilities and spacious. The welcome book contained lots of useful information and the site itself was a stunning location with a good play area and a traditional pub - good food, along with darts and pool. No hesitation in recommending.
The lodge it self was lovely and Beautiful. The condition of it was brilliant We loved the lounge and the decor. The lodge was nice and clean perfect for the weekend Thank you for the complimentary biscuits Also the DVD collection and games provided were greatly appreciated
Enjoyed our mid week break, we really liked the hot tub & lodge in a nice location. It's a tradition lodge, nice & warm. The site was good but we did need to drive to get to most places.
Having stayed here last Christmas, we absolutely loved the lodge and it’s location. It literally had everything we could possibly need, and booking and arrival procedures a breeze. As such, we decided to book again for my birthday (October) and we were not disappointed one bit!! It has had a bit of a freshen up in terms of decor. It was lovely before but is now very up to date and modern, whilst still providing that cosy feeling. Again. Spotlessly clean with a lovely bottle of wine waiting on arrival. The hot tub is immaculate and every morning, we saw the maintenance guy come to clean ...more
we stayed here end of September we arrived later than expected due to traffic, we found access to the key difficult as it was very dark and no lights on around the lodge, if arriving at night do take a torch. once we were in the lodge was great very clean and cosy everything we needed for our stay, could tell the owners have taken pride in its appearance, the hot tub was lovely and well maintained. we look forward to another visit in the future.
Booked for a quiet weekend with the family, we wanted to take the dogs and six of us. The hideaway was a perfect choice, lovely lodge with all the things needed for a comfortable stay, well looked after, bar on site with good food and service, perfectly located for Windermere and the lakes, we would definitely go back
My Husband and I just returned from our 'Minimoon' at the corner retreat. The lodge is lovely and spacious, it's in a really good spot on the park and is really easy to find. Parking space right next to the decking which was ideal. The place was mostly really clean, apart from a few bugs that had been squashed into the bathroom blinds, small detail but could do with being sorted. Beds were really comfy and lodge was lovely and warm. The hot tub was great, although it was only set to 26deg when we got there so make sure you crank it up on arrival. Lovely tub though, clean and well functioning...more
The lodge was beautiful and comfortable and in an amazing location. There was so much to do in the area that we didn’t feel like a weekend was long enough. The beds were comfortable and the lodge was clean and tidy.
A great lodge in a quiet location on the site but still only a short walk from the main facilities..
Stayed for 4 nights late Sept. Booking was extremely easy and hassle free. Lodge location is excellent with great views from the decking area and pretty central within the park. Condition and cleanliness cannot be faulted and if returning to Limefitt would have no hesitation on booking this lodge again. Only downside was the on site pub the Haybarn was shut for the majority of our stay for maintenance issues, which has no bearing on the lodge itself. We would certainly return here again as it is an outstanding location.
We all loved our stay never been to the lakes before, we was comfy warm and felt very welcomed. Beautiful area lovely siting. Would recommend to all. The complex is great, only bar service I can complain about as it needs staff to pick up speed, food is nice. Very pleasant holiday park.
Stayed in a beautiful lodge surrounded by beautiful scenery...ideal location for Windermere And Bowness on the Lakes. Recommend a boat trip and Brockholes. Will definitely be returning. Great weather while we were there made the experience even better.
Really lovely lodge in a quiet area of the park. Kitchen is well equipped. Comfy reclining sofa. Plenty storage space.
This was our first time at Fallbarrow (usually go to White Cross Bay), what a fantastic place. It’s a beautiful site on Lake Windermere but as close as you can get to Bowness. It was lovely to walk around and the clubhouse was great, loved how it is dog friendly (white cross isn’t). Neildan was a beautiful lodge that was spotlessly clean, had everything you want. The beds were really comfy. It was near the clubhouse but in a very quiet area. I would definitely recommend this lodge and will no doubt return.
Pleased with the standard of accommodation. Comfortable and spacious. Preferred this lodge to a previous one we stayed at. This is a good base for exploring the Lakes. Enjoyed the hot tub and Choices leisure facilities.
Fantastic area, facilites, very clean. Only scored Good for comfort and condition due to chair been broken which meant 3 adults had to squeeze on uncomfortable sofa. The sun lounger bench had no cushions also bolts had eroded so had to be careful when sitting on it. We would visit again.
The lodge was perfect for our honeymoon although the weather was the wettest we have ever had staying in the lakes! We had a few issues such as the hot tub not working initially and the DVD player dying on us. The maintenance man was great, he got the hot tub working as best as possible without draining it and taking it apart- which wasn’t ideal but ok and he brought us a new DVD player within about an hour!! For me it would always be better for dog friendly lodges to have laminated floors throughout the living area. The only other thing which i really was disappointed in- was that ther...more
We have stayed here numerous times and the place is very clean, comfy and gets very warm. Will be returning next year, lovely place!
Really nice break away. We went for some peacful walks and it's certainty a great area for that. The site was nice, clean, dog friendly and staff were nice. Would definitely come back and recommend others
Really impressed with this lodge. Great facilities, Brilliant location and really clean! We usually stay at center parcs during Autumn but the kids wanted a change - they enjoyed this more! Super value for money. We'll definitely stay here again!
Lodge was clean and spacious and in a good location. The site is great for walks too and if you have a dog the dog field and shallow river is great. Lovely on- site pub too and food was good after a long walk! Would recommend!!
Location is fab and located across a little stream the lodge can be accessed from two different locations which is handy. The lodge has a cosy feel rather than modern i feel if they updated the bedding to something a little more modern that it would help ensure the lodge looks a little more modern. Hot tub was amazing and it was so nice to sit back and relax in the tub on an evening. One of the benefits of this lodge is having 2 jack and jill bathrooms so you basically end up with two ensuite rooms which is fab if you are travelling as two separate couples. We had a nice stay i...more
Thank you for a lovely cozy and warm stay at this lodge. The hot tub was amazing. The lodge was in need of a little TLC but had all amenities needed for our stay. Would definitely book again.
Puddleduck lodge was a beautiful lodge, well equipped and very comfortable. Booking was easy and check-in was simple. The owners have worked hard to make this lodge a home from home, by adding a lot of creature comforts. However, some attention is required to sort the television signals, but this didn’t affect us as we were too busy enjoying the hot tub and beautiful surroundings. The customer service team for Lake District Lodge Holidays we’re extremely helpful and went above and beyond, especially when I left several items of clothes in the wardrobe. Having only realised my mistake 6hours ...more
Myself and my family stayed at the lodge for three nights in October as it was a birthday present for my husband the stay was nice but unfortunately the condition of the lodge was not to the standard it was a couple of years ago it needed some tlc and a make over and some things replacing as there was some damage. The park and staff were lovely and the park quiet especially at night we was not disturbed one bit I would recommend the park as there are some beautiful lodges on there and a fantastic view from the jetty I am saying no to recommending but would if the issues were solved as it is a ...more
Beckside Rest is in a beautiful location on the park. It was clean, cosy and comfortable. It had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped although we didn't cook, everything was there if you wanted to. The outside space was lovely and the hot tub amazing. Haybarn Pub was handy and staff friendly. Looking to book lodge again as soon as possible.
We had a great time but felt a few little things could be better: a few light bulbs out, pots and pans need renewing and showers a bit more powerful. Other than that, lovely stay.
Lovely cabin, great location. Shame the cleaning was not to the same standard. Also not ready on arrival
Woodmere lodge was lovely and quiet area of the park. The hot tub was a added bonus. We did alot of visiting Ambleside and the Chocolate factory at Hawkshead was excellent for the children on a rainy day. We were disappointed that we were not informed that we had to book swimming pool in advance therefore had to drive to Keswick for a public pool.
When we arrived at Roe Deer lodge it was lovely and clean, very modern and a home away from home! The weather in the lakes wasn't the best but we had no problem relaxing in the lodge! We had an issue with the hot tub which has overheated when we arrived however one phone call to the park and we had someone to help within half an hour and it was sorted and ready to use! The staff across all the park, reception (even gave my mother in law their own staff sweetners as they didn't have any in the shop!) Pub and park were all so friendly! I can't recommend this place enough and I'm sure we will ...more
A nice Lodge, however if you removed one of the sofa beds in the lounge and replaced it with a comfortable settee that would be better. The hot tub should have a screen around to give it more privacy.
Excellent for someone with a disability although not huge amounts of room if you needed to remain in a wheelchair. There is a wonderful carpet but again the hinders wheelchair use in the lodge as I would have been concerned about ruining the carpet with a dirty chair - and it was wet during our stay! Very well equipped with the general stuff. A modestly priced lodge which was perfectly acceptable.
First time in a log cabin for me and my partner and we were pleasantly surprised, spacious, tall ceilings and never feeling cramped like in a caravan. On arrival easy to get to with road signs, popped into reception checked in quick and easy and were shown exactly where the lodge was, didn’t feel stressed about getting lost. Lodge is in a perfect location as only 2 minute walk to the complex, and 5 minutes down to the lake, perfect! We chose this lodge as it was in a cul de sac and felt it would be more private. Lovely and quiet felt so relaxed the whole time especially with the hot tub ! Only...more
This was a lovely lodge, close to the water. We where able to sit in the hot tub and look over the lake. The same could not be said from inside until we cleaned the outside of the front windows.
Excellent accommodation for family or friends, location is very good for walkers and hikers, enjoyed our stay very much
We stayed in Acorn Lodge for 4 nights and we couldn’t fault it. The lodge had everything you needed. It is situated close to the lake where it was peaceful and we enjoyed most evening being able to relax on the decking area as we were lucky with the weather. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you for the lovely stay.
Nice comfortable clean lodge, quiet location. Amenities on site for rainy days, a short drive from Bowness on Windermere
We have been to this lodge before but this time we were really disappointed.Sweet papers and crumbs under the cushions, finger marks all over the patio door windows, broken hinge on cupboard door over the microwave. The TVis a joke ,,wires hanging down from it,wasn,t working on arrival and we had to point the remote into the corner of the room to change channels. In our opinion this lodge felt tired and a little shabby.Great views though.
1st stay at Badgers Rest Lodge very comfortable and clean . The lodge has a lovely view over the playing field which was lovely and peaceful. Would happily return back to the lodge . The Hay barn pub on site is fabulous, lovely food served and made to feel welcome by the lovely staff highly recommend .
We had an amazing stay at Pinehaven Lodge, White Cross Bay. This was our 3rd visit. We had a mix of ages in our party from ages 6 to 76 and there was something for everyone. The location is fab. Would highly recommend Lake District Lodge Holidays. Looking forward to our next break. Thank you LDLH.
Everything about our stay was hassle free from check in to check out. The staff were lovely and helpful and the clubhouse was a great base for our adventures in the Lakes. The lodge was in a lovely peaceful surrounding and had everything we needed for our stay.
The lodge was perfect for my husband's 50th Birthday celebrations, along with our 2 daughters and their friends. It was excellent that we were able to take our 4 legged friends too! The kitchen had everything you could need, the whole place felt like a home from home and was so comfortable. We loved the hot tub,and the on-site bar/restaurant was a definite bonus. Everything about the booking and stay was so easy and straightforward, we had a lovely break and would definitely return in the future.
We stayed at the lodge last year and really enjoyed the stay, the lighting wasn`t great in the living room but other than that everything was fine, however on site arrival this time we found the key that was in the key lock was completely bent over and we couldnt get access to the lodge for over an hour but it was soon resolved from the help of the maintenance guys on site. we also noticed the front railings were very loose and wasn`t secure for my dogs, all we could do is place a chair next to it and just hope the dogs didnt find them but on the Sunday they did.....:( :( we spent at least 2 ...more
Our lodge was gorgeous but we found the heating a bit inadequate. It was very cold at times and we had to wear shawls at times. A lovely maintenance man did come and explain how it works but it did not help the situation. The local restaurant and bar was lovely but didn't like the barking dogs allowed in. Unfortunately I left a heat pad on the bed and a pair of glasses but have not heard if they were found. The lodge windows need cleaning. We would highly recommend this lodge. Thank you.
Had a fab time and the lodge was superb. Comfiest bed we have slept in. Would definitely stay again.
Lodge was very there is a nice restaurant on site which has very nice meals of good quality and reasonable reception was very helpful and informative we had a lovely rest and hit tub was great. Our dog loved the run outside the lodge where he could be off the lead bit disappointing with the wooded area as not very big.
Excellent place to stay the lodge was so lovely and comfortable. It had everything and more for a relaxing break.
All round the accommodation is good and provides everything you need for your break away with the added benefit of the hot tub. The site itself is equipped with a shop, bar and restaurant and the food is really good. The entertainment for families at night is loud and ok but it wasn't our cup of tea...….however everyone is different and they do make everyone welcome. The only down side to the site is the issue of pre-booking hourly slots to swim in the large family pool, never have I ever been to a holiday site that you couldn't just turn up to use the pool. This was disappointing as we staye...more
The lodge is very comfortable and spacious. We really enjoyed the hot tub & used it every day. The beds were comfortable, with good linen/duvets.
We absolutely loved our stay at at spiral steps .The lodge was very different to lodges I have stayed in , the spiral steps are a great feature to the lodge , we had beautiful weather so we actually used the spiral steps to the little area which was a proper sun trap , the lodge was really big and the bath was a added bonus too . Totally going to book again for next year as we loved it ..
