My partner and I visited in November from Monday to Friday, Corner Retreat was a wonderful lodge. Modern throughout and very spacious. You can just see the lake from the living room window and it is only a short walk from the lodge itself. The lodge was very cosy and the electric fireplace (with colour changing surround!) adds a lovely touch for those cold evenings. Everything you need for a self catering holiday is provided and the welcome pack includes some little treats. The hot tub was amazing! Just what we needed for our chilled break. Lovely surroundings and we will definitely be re...more
A really lovely and clean lodge , perfect location , plenty of space , modern and well equipped , providing everything you need for a comfortable hassle free stay. With the added bonus of a washing machine and dryer . Great for a large family due to extra beds .
Had a fantastic stay here. The lodge is in a great location with fantastic views and not really overlooked. Lodge was lovely and clean, very spacious and everything we needed was provided. Our boys loved the games/ dvd and xbox which was provided which kept them amused while we were in the lodge. Site was a lovely a little more out the way than we thought it would be but wasn't a problem Some lovely walks.
Well what can I say this lodge has had no expense spared ! Gorgeous lodge has everything you could ask for and more , immaculate and clean central position ! Will defo be returning
We enjoyed our stay very much. The site was well kept the lodge was amazing and the on site pub was a bonus. It meant we did not have to travel off site for dinner. It is very close to Bowness and animal friendly. On our first day we walked from the lodge over Wansfell Pike to Ambleside which was harder than we first thought but was satisfying. The lodge was in a good location for us being close to Bowness and Glennridding. We have stayed in the lakes at another Lodge but Birthwaite was even nicer. We will be returning in the furture this time hopefully with a dog.
Really enjoyed our stay, really relaxed and as it says in the title "snugg"would highly reccommend!!
We had a wonderful stay at high borrans farm. The Lodge had everything we needed, for a very comfortable stay & was spotlessly clean. It is in a very good location to walk or explore the lakes. It was our first experience in a lodge, we enjoyed it so much we are returning in April next year.
High borrans is a beautiful place to stay and to switch off from the outside world of hustle and bustle Every single need is catered for, superb lodge, superb setting, very friendly, we will definitely return and we have already recommended high borrans to friends and family
We have stayed in many lodges when visiting the lakes this one tops them all in every respect and will be the one we will be returning to in the future.
The lodge was excellently appointed, the best we have seen so far. Absolutely everything we could think of was provided to make the stay as comfortable as possible. They paid a lot of attention to the little things as well. In summary and in no particular order, The beds were comfortable, the walk in wardrobes, utility room etc gave a lot of additional space for luggage so it didn't feel cluttered, the hot tub is always nice, the views are stunning, the decor was well thought out, the kitchen was well stocked, the hard drive of films provided was useful, the pub just up from the lodge was co...more
My wife and myself spent a long weekend at White Cross Bay in Stickle Ghyll lodge and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lodge is situated on the shore of Windermere next to the marina. The lodge is well furnished and very modern and well equipped. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms with wc,washing mc,dishwasher, oven, iron, three tv's.A nice little welcome pack with tea, coffee and biscuits. The site is situated between Ambleside and Windermere and has a clubhouse where you can get a choice of meals.I recommend Stickle Ghyll lodge and would hope to visit again. The hot tub was lovely bonus.
We had such a relaxing break in this beautiful lodge. Everything was immaculate and we were so comfortable. The position of the lodge was ideal, right on the riverbank and overlooking fields and hills. The balcony was a great place just to sit and relax while listening to the river bubbling past and enjoying the stunning views. We loved our stay at this lodge and hope to return next year.
Second time we have stayed at Esthwaite Lodge, first time was for a week 3yrs ago, this time just a 3 night break. Probably one of the cleanest lodges/cottages we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. Lovely and comfortable in a lovely setting and great decking area. I’m pretty sure we will visit again some time in the future, felt home from home.
Great stay in Hogh Borrans, quiet and relaxed in a great location with great facilities, had a perfect weekend in the Lake District
Beautiful lodge and location. Very peaceful and excellent walks from the doorstep. Pub on site welcoming and good food.
What a beautiful place! We originally booked here in July for my partners birthday, I was heavily pregnant and had been told I was to have my baby early, worried about loosing money and the holiday as we was unable to stay we had full support from them and was able to book again and take our baby with us! We had a beautiful stay for our first family holiday, it was an amazing location not to far from shops etc but far enough to feel you are in the country. The lodge was very clean and had everything we needed, we only wish we had booked for the week rather than 4 days. We look forward to bo...more
We have stayed at this cabin before and would definitely book again . It was clean and spacious, and the park is in an excellent central position in bowness. Highly recommended .
Stayed at Lourigg Lodge for 11 days and once again it was great. The lodge itself was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We enjoyed eating out at the on-site pub The Haybarn several times during our stay. Booking the lodge was quick and easy. Will definately return to this fab lodge.
We stayed 5 days at the lodge, and wished we stayed longer! Even tried to rebook ( fully booked most dates) as we loved it so much, the views are stunning, very clean, modern, and just overall beautiful. Highly recommend, bottle of wine left on arrival ( thank you!) cannot fault anything about our stay! Can’t wait to return , thank you so much Our son loved it, nice family pub on site staff all friendly x
This lodge was amazing! Clean and tidy and just felt at home! 2 min walk into Windermere was great with a baby :) our little girl loved crawling around the lodge . The owners put a little Xmas tree and lights in which made our stay so homely! I would definatly come back again!
Lovely cabin we enjoyed our 3 nights here. Cabin is immaculate very well built, it’s lovely and cosy. It’s in a nice area only a couple minutes from town centre Windermere and if you are looking to go for some nice walks or just too relax I recommend this cabin very much. Will be back again in future at some point to try another cabin here. Thanks for everything
We stayed for 2 nights as a little get away for our 15th wedding anniversary with our dog Betsy. Spinney is spotlessly clean, fitted out to a high standard and in a wonderful surrounding. We had a fantastically relaxing time and I can honestly say the only thing missing was some kitchen tongs (and some sunshine- but I guess that's out of anyone's control!)
We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Ewe View. The lodge was comfy and had everything you needed for your stay. Fantastic position facing the hills and elevated. The hot tub was great to come back to after a walk especially in October.
Cottontail lodge is an absolutely magnificent lodge with all amenities available at the drop of a hat, it’s got to be one of the nicest lodges on site, clean, well set out, modern and warm everything was exactly as expected
Our stay at Somerford lodge was lovely. A beautiful lodge very clean. We would definitely return and tell our family and friends about this lovely lodge.
Had a fabulous weekend getaway to High Borrans Grove. The lodge was amazing, spotless and the kitchen was well equipped. Also very close to lake windermere/Grasmere for day trips. Would love to return in the spring for another stay. Highly recommend!
We looked the cabin and hot tub It was very clean and comfortable We would definitely book again .
Our stay at Horseshoe Lodge was perfect. A couple of lights weren’t working on arrival but after a phone call they were fixed immediately. Punctual service. The lodge was beautiful, clean and had a lovely welcoming feel. The setting was idyllic. Can’t wait to go back.
I recently stayed at Selamat Lodge and it was the best trip I booked in ages. From day one of booking the customer service was fantastic right through to arriving and the small touch of leaving a bottle of wine for when I arrived. The place was well equipped and they really thought of everything. I had such an amazing time I’ve recommended the place already and looking to rebook again next year.
Great location and nice layout off cabin but lino in bathroom needs replacing snd and could be doing with touch of paint here and there
Herdwick lodge was perfect place to stay. Inside had everything you could think of and the decking had the most amazing views you could wish for. I will be booking this lodge again
Fabulous lodge , great location , very comfortable and dog friendly. Usually lodges that are dog friendly are not of this quality - this was a super lodge and provided everything that you could possibly need - hot tub was a big bonus.Owners were fantastic - allowed us to swap weeks as our Labrador Paddy, had to have an operation on our original booked week - big thank you. The arrival instructions provided for the lodge and communication was wonderful and really helpful. Will definitely be back.
Excellent!! Will be staying here again very soon. The hit tub is fabulous, the lodge is fabulous too.
Had a fantastic stay. First time staying in a lodge. The Lodge was fully equipped and in a beautiful spot. Very private, a joy to see the ducks every morning. In our party of quests we had an elderly person and a young child. There was enough space and games to keep us all entertained. The lodge was very clean and extremely warm, the decking needed a little attention in places but was not a problem mearly an observation. The site itself is ideal if you want to visit windermere or Ambleside. Plenty of walks around the area and an outdoor adventure on the door step. The facilities on the site ...more
Great lodge in a great location. I would recommend staying at the swallowdale lodge. Can’t waiit to return.
Once again we had a winter break with family and friends at Waters Edge and it was lovely and warm on our arrival and hot tub ready to go the only problem we had this year was the weather but shouldnt really complain as its the first time in 6 years of coming to the Lakes at this time of year we had rain we used the site facilities more than previous years and found the staff very polite and ffiendly and venue clean and tidy ,thanks for a cracking break and see you all next year.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Keswick lodge. The lodge itself was very clean, comfortable, modern and well equipped to a high standard. The views from the lodge were beautiful. It's location on Limefitt Park was fantastic, only a short drive to the popular visitor attractions and shops in Windermere and Ambleside. The park itself was tranquil and quiet, yet family friendly offering a good play area and a handy little shop for the essentials. We would definitely visit again and recommend to family and friends.
We had a lovely stay in Puddleduck Lodge which was immaculate & very comfortable with everything you needed. The hot tub was fabulous with lovely lights & it was roasting hot. Our lodge was just around the corner from the lake which had beautiful views. We ate & drank in the bar/restaurant & the food was beautiful, it had entertainment on in the evening. There's also a pool table & tv's. The swimming pool looked lovely although we didn't use it. I would say though that we found the park quite dark & we think that additional lighting could be added, especially at the entrance where the barriers...more
What a beautiful place to stay. Lovely and clean, plenty of room and a great master bedroom with en-suite. The hot tub is wonderful! Will definitely come back and stay in this lodge.
Had a great weekend in this Fabulous lodge. Outdoor space is amazing and we made full use of it with the gorgeous weather we had. Really comfy sofa and chairs on the south facing decking, we even had a barbecue. The park is so peaceful and very clean. The lodge itself is beautiful with 3 good sized bedrooms with very comfy beds. The large open plan lounge was perfect and the kitchen area was fab with all cooking facilities you could need, we didn’t even go out and made full use of the facilities in the lodge. Would highly recommend this lodge. Thank You for a wonderful stay.
Lovely weekend at ghyll lodge , beautiful place the park was clean and the club house was brilliant , the staff were exceptional especially Joshua and Jackie in the bar area , would definitely come back in fact can’t wait to book again , lodge was beautiful aswell no complaints at all , I had a problem with the toilet in rhydall lodge I rang up and it was dealt with quickly and efficiently, fantastic service Thank you
Second time staying at Lanrigg Lodge. A great lodge. Very comfortable and clean. Would return again.
Our fifth break with Lake District Lodge Holidays. As usual the standard of their lodges was great. The lodge was clean and had all facilities to make it "home from home".
This is our second visit to High Borrans and we actually chose the same lodge as last year, because of the location. There are only 7 lodges at this particular site and the surroundings in which they're kept are to a very high standard. We have dogs and the location is perfect for walking. Windermere is a 5 minute drive away and there are plenty of places that accept dogs for either a coffee or a meal. We can recommend the Albert, atmosphere was lovely in there albeit very busy and the food and staff were excellent. The only slight disappointment for us was our visit to Coniston Lake, w...more
Never been to the lakes b4 I’m from Manchester omg it was absolutely gorgeous the location of the lodge where we stayed was fantastic clean fresh well catered for inc cutlery plates even down to hand wash washing up liquid basically all that you needed was to bring yourself & clothing the secure decking was good as I took my dog lucie omg she absolutely enjoyed took her on the boat to Bowness never known her to sleep that much cream crackered her you would not be disappointed to stay here
Really enjoyed my stay lodge was very nice and clean would definitely recommended and would return myself for another stay in future
We really loved our stay at pine tree lodge its was really clean and comfortable would look to book again
WIndermere Lodge was sparkling clean, extremely comfortable and in a wonderful position in Fallbarrow. We found the fixtures and fittings first class which added an extra dimension to the Lodge. It was light and spacious and everything looked and felt well cared for. We felt very lucky to have discovered such a "gem" and would like to thank the owners very much for allowing us to stay in their beautiful Lodge.
Amazing lodge with amazing views, the lodge was extremely clean and more than comfortable in a perfect setting.
Beautiful lodge. Spotlessly clean. Luxurious and very comfortable. Loved the Jacuzzi bath. Unfortunately for us hill too steep for my daughter's wheelchair. We visit Fallbarrow several times a year, will just book a different lodge. Recommend lodge to others though.
Overall I thought that our stay at crag helm was amazing it was a lovely lodge and we will definitely be coming back again to stay with youselves in the new year.
Another fantastic week at White cross bay, our 8th year in a row. Would definitely stay in this lodge again.
All we can say is "WOW" absolutely loved it, would highly recommend to anyone. Perfect location and the Lodge it's self was stunning. Lovely to wake up with views of the lake, and even better to come back to on a night time after aday on the hills, to relax in the hot tub. Had an amazing stay thank you. Kind Regards Steve Lewis
Really enjoyed our break at Troutbeck Retreat, it was the first one we stayed in when we first started coming to Limefitt, good to see it is still as good as it was then.
Sheffield Pike is a lovely 3 bed lodge but could be improved by upgrading the some of the kitchen equipment - for example, all the sharp knives (for food prep) were extremely blunt. There are oodles of wine glasses but not enough tumblers and no (child friendly) plastic tumblers or plastic plates. We were there with 3 children following a week in a smaller cottage (and much cheaper) in Wales where there was every kitchen utensil you could ask for, plastic cups and plates and an array of cooking dishes. I appreciate some people eat out all the time, but others don't and it is a self-catering ...more
We arrived early, so sat in the clubhouse and enjoyed a good wine. The check in process was smooth & we arrived at our cabin which was situated directly on the lakefront with a fantastic view over the Lake & valley. The kids fed the ducks, geese & swans everyday as you can buy the seeds from the shop on sight. The little shop is well equipped with all you may need/have forgotten. The cabins themselves are lovely, clean and well equipped. Bedrooms are minimal space as you'd expect in a caravan, but they are comfortable. Towels & linen was clean. I'm not an early riser, but here I was up every d...more
We are a family of 3 who stayed at the Valley View Lodge from 17/10 to 21/10/18 over the October Break. We only booked this the night before travel and have to say everything regarding the booking was quick, clear, easy & great price too. Louise from Lake District Lodge holidays was very helpful and prompt with her reply to my queries, if only everything was this easy! We will defo be using your company again in the future and will be recommending your company. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The lodge is immaculate with lots of little touches to make your stay more comfortable, TV i...more
Wonderful lodge in a quiet corner. Spacious and very clean. All home comforts making it a really enjoyable stay and could easily stay for a longer break. Beds very comfortable. Showers fab. Lots of outside space and a fab hot tub. Owners have put a lot of thought and effort in to making this a very desirable holiday home. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
A lovely lodge for a much needed rest! Myself, husband and two children and of course our cockapoo had a lovely stay at badgers hollow. The heating and lights were on for our arrival, the lodge was immaculate with dvd’s, games and books available. Great location for exploring the lakes and we loved relaxing in the hot tub in the evening. We had contact numbers should we have had any issues (which we didn’t) easy to book and good correspondence from company. I would definitely book again.
We had a relaxing stay everything was perfect plenty of room bedrooms were clean and bright ensuite was a must we will be coming back next year thank you for allowing us into your holiday lodge and jacuzzi was lovely and warm .
Great lodge in amazing location some great walks and pubs nearby for good food will definitely return again
Had a lovely midweek stay at White Swan Lodge, Lodge was warm and comfortable and in a nice private spot, Also only a short walk away from Bowness..
We had the most amazing stay here and will be definitely returning! The lodge was spotless and beautiful inside and the location was perfect with the most stunning views.
Everything with the lodge and the surrounding stay to Sunnybank was lovely. Would highly recommend and will be shortly booking my next visit.
Great lodge well equipt very clean fantastic views however a little too far from the lake to walk with our young gandchildren
We had a excellent stay at the lodge, beautiful location, facilities were brilliant. The hot was ready to go on arrival. I was really impressed with the little things that were in place such as a basket in the kitchen with tea, coffee biscuits, dishwasher tablets etc, really well thought out. And very clean. Will certainly book again
We only stayed for two nights as we were traveling up to Scotland , loved the lodge and great facilities would definitely book again.. site was clean service was great both at the bar and the small shop . The beds could do with being replaced as they were very uncomfortable especially the kids single beds .. the kitchen facilities were top notch and the books and maps were handy ..
Had a lovely weekend staying in this lodge. It was very modern, clean, and well equipped with everything we needed. Great combined living space and good soundproofing between this and the bedrooms. The lake view was a surprise. It was a wet weekend so we were unable to use the patio set on the terrace but will be back to appreciate the external views on a warmer weekend. All in all a very lovely stay. Just wish we could have stayed longer.
Everything about it was great! Definitely coming back again The attractions were brilliant, and even the lodges jus WOW!
We enjoyed our stay for my husband's 50th. We discussed the treetop adventure just up the road. Loved the hot tub which was clean and ready to getake into as soon as we arrived. We kept getting bumped on the head by the metal pole that was used to hold the cover of the hot tub. It was good that dogs were allowed in the mobile home however we were not allowed to eat in the restaurant just in the cold entrance lobby. Not very welcoming. If we had known in advance we could have booked a table in a dog friendly pub instead.
A Lovely holiday lodge well kitted out with everything you need.very clean and comfortable .I would recommend this lodge
We had a fabulous stay at Rowan Lodge our second visit to Limefitt this year . Beautiful location, warm clean and very cosy.would definitely recommend this lodge and we'll return again next year . Perfectly situated for walking and excellent meals at The Haybarn, but the highlight for my wife was seeing the badgers that came every night .
The lodge was in a great location, with amazing views and we felt relaxed as soon as we walked through the door. Wansfell is decorated to a high standard and there is everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. We booked for a relative's 60th birthday for the weekend and we regretted we hadn't booked for longer.
This was our first experience taking our nervous young cockapoo away for a short break. We could not have been more pleased with the location of Woodland Nook Lodge on the site. It was at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and the veranda was totally fenced off. The whole experience was relaxed and the booking process was very smooth. The lodge itself was very clean and tastefully decorated. After long hill walks the added bonus of having a bath was bliss. The instructions regarding heating etc were easy to follow. Lake District Lodge Holidays kept us well informed by email and there were conta...more
We stayed here for our honeymoon as we've always wanted to stay in a traditional log cabin and this did not disappoint. On first arrival the reception was so friendly clean and looked so picturesque. As we were approaching our cabin we were amazed at how private and spacious it was with lovely views through all the trees it just felt cozy before we got through the door. The inside of the cabin was very well kept clean tidy and again every room was cozy with nice little finishing touches. We didn't expect board games and a selection of dvds in the livingroom this was a nice little touch for fam...more
We are satisfied with the overall experience at the campsite and the lodge was comfortable and had everything we need it.
Been visiting Bramble Bank for 5yrs now, love the location, love the lodge, love the hot tub. Website easy to use. Communication great. Will be returning again next year.
Wow what can we say? This was our 7th consecutive stay at Limefitt Park and our 1st time in Striding Edge Lodge. We always stayed in the Beckside area of the park but this year fancied a change and chose Striding Edge and we weren't disappointed. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and a real home from home. It had everything we needed and more. We had our 18month old with us and found the lodge to be warm and cosy as well as spacious. The fridge and freezer are of good size and it was helpful having the family bathroom as well as the en suite. We didn't feel over looked at all and we really ...more
Great stay as spacious for large family and dog..big lounge ..excellent master bedroom with own walk in wardrobe...had to be careful when both showers in use as power dropped but that was a minor thing.. as it rained it was good we had free use of choices health club to use the pool...
Thank you for a fantastic stay in your beautiful lodge. Lake District Holidays went above and beyond to help me organise my stay. They were exceptionally friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The lodge was out of this world.
Popped into the lakes for a weekend for our anniversary First time we have taken our Cocker, and found the lodge an excellent place overall for our stay. Clean and well equipped Loads of room on the decking for Jasper to patrol and a gate to keep him safe. Hot tub was ace and the lodge is in a great position. Had a very relaxing time. Tv and WiFi reception was a bit iffy but We were on holiday so loads of other things to do and see. Club house is good what more could you want.
Really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lodge. Very clean, lovely furnishings. We didn't want to leave. Ideal location. Definitely want to return. Thank you.
Perfect log cabin with everything needed for a relaxing weekend away with friends. Will definitely stay again.
We had a fantastic 5 day stay and will definitely be going back! The lodge had everything you needed and some extra little touches too such as reading books, dvds, games and puzzles. The grounds were beautiful as were the views and the location was ideal for us being so close to many beautiful little villages. The onsite pub was so good we went twice! All in all an excellent break for the 3 of us and our dog.
Fantastic lodge and site. We were up for a swimming weekend but a bit disappointed we weren't able to swim straight out into the lake from the waterfront area.
The lodge was clean, warm and comfortable with the hot tub a welcome added luxury! The location is a perfect base for exploring the local area as well as having many facilities onsite to keep us busy and entertained. Thank you for a lovely break in the lakes!
Didn’t sleep well ,hard mattress,slept on couch,noisy fire,but overall a lovely lodge,had a good time,go again!
Stayed at Thirlmere lodge for my husband's 40th birthday. The lodge is beautiful inside, we are pretty fussy when it comes to cleanliness and comfort, so we were pleaaed witjt the lodge. We always need a king size bed as my husband is tall and our girls loved the standard size single beds as most caravan and lodges have small singles. They also appreciated the tv and DVD player in their room. The hot tub was a winner even in the rain!!! The lodge is modern and bright and tastefully decorated, the only thing we missed was some champagne flutes for our celebratory fizz!!! All in all a fab place ...more
Lovely lodge in a good position near the beck, opened curtains one morning to see sheep eating the grass in the lodge opposite. Peaceful, the hot tub was great for the really relaxing moments. The weather was good so didn’t need to use the dvd, games console, books and games in the lodge as out taking in the scenery and a few local pubs
Stayed at Fellside Retreat Lodge before, so knew what to expect. Limefitt Park is a good base to travel from, and not to far from Windermere. We hired taxis which were reasonably priced when we wanted to go out on a night time. There is also a good pub on site where you can have meals. We would definitely return to Fellside Retreat Lodge in the future.
Oakwood Lodge was very nice, clean, cosy, and the position made it feel safe but secluded. There is a very little bit of damp in the wardrobe in the main bedroom but other than that it was very comfortable and I enjoyed staying there very much.
The lodge was a perfect place to stay while we were in Windermere. It was spacious and had a very homely feel. The weather was kind while we were there and I loved being able to eat all our meals out on the decking. It was very peaceful at nights and I slept well. The hot tub was a very welcome addition and was kept very clean and checked daily. My only gripe would be the shower in the main bathroom, went from freezing cold to boiling hot very quickly and not much in between.
This place was amazing, first time stopping in a lodge and wasn’t sure what to expect. Xmas decorations up and hearing on when arrived it was like home from home. We are that pleased we have booked for a week in the summer.
Wonderful stay at this very comfortable and clean lodge which exceeded our expectations. The lodge has everything you needs, including lots of utensils, cling film, sugar, oil, and washing up liquid. There are DVDs and games. The heating is wonderful and the lodge is very cozy even when it's cold outside, you won't need your fleecy PJs. The beds are super comfy with quality bedding, we are going back without a doubt, the site is peaceful and the staff are ready and willing to help with any queries. Would highly recommend, what a beautiful little retreat!
This was our third stay in Lily Tarn Lodge. We just love the accommodation and the location in the park. So relaxing listening to the sound of the beck, just a short walk from the lake and reception and great WiFi (teenagers!). Almost our second home!
We enjoyed are stay but the lodge needs a bit of work in place. Like the kitchen area doors, oven and fridge door. Also we had a lot of centipedes in the lounge area and kitchen which put me off. And light wasn’t working when you come through the front door.
Had a brilliant stay here last weekend! The lodge was beautifully maintained and comfortable. The lodge isn’t fair from the main entrance and easy to find when you go through the barriers. I cannot fault anything we will be returning! Thanks!
Lovely stay. Such a warm cosy and private cabin. Enjoyed sitting on the large patio watching the river and local wildlife.
We had a fantastic holiday at Tall Trees Lodge. Lake district lodge holidays are always a pleasure to book with and seem to genuinely care that you enjoy your stay. White cross bay is fairly central and children friendly. Lots of things to do not too far away. You would probably need a car or transport to eat out at night. We used the pool on site, you have to book a time slot to swim which initially put us off, but actually it works out quite well as there is plenty of room to swim. The kids enjoyed Wray castle, very child friendly. We ate at the onsite restaurant a couple of times, it's not ...more
Beautiful setting overlooking the stream with the mountains rising at the back.Great outdoor area ( weather permitting) but hot tub used no matter what even though it was a little too hot for us!! All in all it was a lovely stay.
The lodge was perfect, location was perfect The view from the hot tub looking onto the lake was amazing We really enjoyed it and we will definitely be back
A lovely week in the gorgeous Lake District, that never fails to disappoint whatever the weather. Our accommodation was faultless and all the family including our 2 spaniels had a wonderful time. We hope to return in the not too distant future!
A good lodge in a quite area on white cross bay. Dog friendly lodge, pity the on site bar restaurant isn’t the same. Good weather always makes the stay better, we would book this lodge again.
We spent four nights at Skiddaw lodge with our dog, it is in a quiet part of Fallbarrow park which was perfect for us, it is very well equipped and very clean. We had an issue with the boiler on the first day but that is because we are novices with that sort of thing, it took one phone call for it to be easily resolved, first class customer service. The park itself is very tidy and the club house allows dogs in restricted areas, there is a cafe and shop on site but it is only a short walk into bowness if you want more choice. Very enjoyable holiday and we will certainly be back
This was our first time in the Lake District and the lodge looked like a good base to be able to get out and travel around. Being allowed to take 2 dogs was the main reason for choosing Badgers Rest and it didn't disappoint! It was clean and tidy and felt very homely and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could need and having a washing machine really helped. The view from the lodge was fantastic and the big windows in the lounge were great to deer and bird watch. Loved our stay and have already booked in for the next one.
Owls nook lodge was the perfect weekend away! The lodge itself was lovely, spacious and very clean. The owners had kindly provided a lot of utensils for us to use also. The lodge location was only a 10 minute walk from the lake and only a 2 minute walk to the reception area. We visited in the winter however there was outside seating which we cannot wait to use in the summer. We will definitely be returning and staying in owls nook lodge. Thank you for reading!
Lovely cabin, plenty of room, good facilities, only 2 bad points i can think of, gas fire ignition didnt work, but managed to use lighter. Garden furniture was a bit dirty too, could have done with a clean so we could use it. Other than that everything was great.
Myself and 2 of my close friends stayed here for seven days. Fantastic accomodation and very close the Keswick. Would recommend
Excellent accommodation only let down the site facilities and broken boiler in the pool and the pool booking service
we have been looking forward to this weekend for some time, the accommodation living area was lovely, and very dog friendly, Lovey to relax in on a evening,.... however the bathroom and en-suite require attention, We felt the smell of damp and damp loo paper, supplying photos was enough to raise concerns upon returning home, after checking online for any other dog friendly accommodation on the site which the website said was full, we stayed, we have been advised as we did not raise this while staying there, its too late, I understand the accommodation will have attention on the bathrooms for...more
Very good stay, staff pleasant, bar/restaurant good, i thought the takeaway system was good (delivery would have made it perfect! As you have to wait in the restaurant at a table for it to be ready then take it yourself back to the lodge.) Lodge was nice, cleaniless not 100percent but overall a good stay and would go again!
The location of this lodge is fantastic with lovely views of the lake. The lodge itself was just ok. The lounge and kitchen areas were very spacious and tidy but the bedrooms were very crammed. The main problem being that there was no dressing table or anywhere to sit to get ready, plus all the mirror on the walls were so high, you couldn't see yourself at all. I had to sit on a bed in the twin room to dry hair etc, there was a mirror on the wardrobe door but you couldn't sit in front of it as it was too close to the bed and the wardrobe door would not open as too close to the bed, so it w...more
