The lodges are immaculate and clean, stopped here on a number of occasions and been in 3 different lodges now ! Cannot fault any of them , they are maintained to a high spec! Fallbarrow is a lovely site and the main advantage is you can walk into the town
Acorn Lodge absolutely wonderful! Lovely lodge located 2 minutes from the wonderful Lake Windermere. Excellent stay in a beautiful lodge decorated in the best of taste with all the home comforts. Offering clean accommodation with special touches just to make it even more special. Lovely welcome pack. We could not have asked for anything more. Well maintained site offering swimming pool, spa shop and nightly entertainment. All in all a brilliant package being central to many places of interest and offering plenty to do. Lakeland Lodges offered excellent customer service and I must admit th...more
We loved everything about our stay. The lodge surpassed all our expectations, a real home from home. We will definitely return; this lodge would be our number one choice of places to stay in the lakes
One of the best lodges I have stayed in, like a five star hotel, beautifully presented, lovely location, especially the bottle of wine and carrot cake we found on arrival, will definitely book the lodge again, both myself and my wife had fantastic break.
This lodge is fantastic has everything you need with views of the lake. Hot tub is a big bonus too. Really enjoyed our stay luxury lodge.
A short break for our wedding anniversary. A peaceful and comfortable stay - the lodge has everything you need to relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside. We were blessed with great weather that always helps.
Deer Leap is a fabulous lodge. It is furnished and decorated to a very high standard and is equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The position on the beck is beautiful and sitting on the deck you have some lovely views. All in all a fantastic lodge and wouldn't hesitate staying again.
Perfect few days. Fully equipped with everything we needed, excellent elevated location in the park.
Beautiful lodge, very clean, lovely peaceful surroundings. We had a slight problem on arrival, after a phone call to Lake District Lodge Holidays, someone arrived within 10 minutes and problem solved. Excellent service. We were very lucky with the gorgeous Easter weather, the only problem was our stay wasn’t long enough. Hope to return for a longer stay next time.
We have had a wonderful peaceful week at high borans farm, this is our second visit to high Borrans Dene, The cabin is lovely absolutely spotless & has everything required for a very comfortable stay, we will certainly return again. Thank you.
Loved this lodge! It has everything you need for a great stay - well equipped kitchen, comfortable seating and cosy bedrooms. It is a short walk from the lake and the little wooded area behind was a great place for an Easter egg hunt. The facilities on site are great too.
Large, spacious, very clean and well equipped. Excellent views through trees to the lake. Very handy for Bowness. Will definitely be visiting again.
Catbells is a new addition to the Lake District Lodge Holidays portfolio and we would highly recommend it. As a family of 3 including a 1 year old baby it suited us perfectly. Very modern, incredibly well kept and had all the supplies we needed - we loved it! Only suggestion would be to include bath mats as well as towels as we had to use hand towels as bath mats. I'd say we would definitely be back but we have our sights set on White Cross Bay to be closer to Lake Windermere.
The Park: Easy to find, well maintained and just a short drive from Windermere. Having the Beck (stream) to walk in was great, and the play park and play fields kept our little boy entertained. The on-site pub had a nice atmosphere and views, a good selection of local beers, but the food was disappointing. The Lodge: We loved this lodge! It’s the first time we’ve stayed in one, but it won’t be the last. Very clean, and it had everything we needed and more. Being next to the Beck was a really nice feature, and proved a good distraction for our 3 year old. The provided children’s books,...more
We had a brilliant stay here, Everything we needed was there and was immaculate. The lodge was set in the most relaxing setting and was very peaceful.
We booked the day we arrived, the location was so surprising, right in the waters edge, the patio area was massive, the lodge itself was lovely and comfortable and immaculately clean. Will definitely book it again.
We needed a break after a tough few weeks, it was just what we needed quiet, cosy and dog friendly. A lovely modern relaxing lodge
We were blessed with great weather for our stay, which made it even more enjoyable. The hut was extremely clean and tidy and everything we needed was there. We would certainly recommend the Shepherd's Hut to stay in if you want to go somewhere secluded and quiet.
Enjoyed a very pleasant holiday in this excellent site : The view from the lounge in Mere Lodge was fantastic. On arrival we found the Lodge clean and inviting with most of the facilities we required. The only thing I could criticise was the lack of a replacement bin-liner in the kitchen area and possibly cling film and kitchen foil, but we were able to purchase these quite cheaply at the local store. Everything else (including a welcome bottle of wine) was provided and the facilities were excellent. Despite the poor weather on a few days, we could sit back and admire the fantastic scenery an...more
Lovely lodge very comfortable. Relaxing on the decking after a long walk was fabulous and very relaxing.
We stayed here as our honeymoon and brought our little boy with us. It was absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to come back. Everything about it was perfect. The view across the lake is breath taking and the location was perfect. I would definitely recommend and have been telling all my friends and family that they need to stay here.
We could not have asked for anything better the lodge was very well equipped and very comfortable very spacious spotless clean we took Charlie the dog who also enjoyed it .we all hope to return.
The lodge was spacious and modern and the hot tub was lovely after a day of walking. The location of the park is great for walking into Bowness and for boat trips and pubs which are dog friendly. I would definitely return to fallbarrow park again
We were a group of 6, 5 adults and 1 child. The lodge was in immaculate condition, ticked all the boxes for us. It has all the comforts yet we didn't overawed to the extent that we had to "watch our steps" as such. Great for a family which made it homely in our case. We were about to cook dinner when we realised that we hadn't brought cooking oil with us. This was when my sister commented that she would not be surprised if there was some in the cupboard. This was the case indeed. All in all a great lodge with more than is needed.
Amazing little lodge, views of the Cumbrian mountains in the morning and evening with the sunset just sitting on the Veranda. The lodge is situated in what I think is the best place in Limefitt Park for views , it’s easy access to Windermere walking takes about 45 minutes with little side paths most of the way to the town. The inside of the lodge is a decent size felt very comfortable for our long weekend stay .
We stayed for a long weekend at the lodge and it was really clean, well equipped and in a great location. The site is beautiful and the dog walking field is perfect for letting the dog have a run around in a safe enclosed place. We didn’t have young children with us but the little playground looked very exciting and well maintained. There is even a little pool in the stream for paddling when the weather allows. The on-site pub is welcoming with friendly staff and a reasonably priced varied menu - even my vegetarian Coeliac husband could eat! There is easy access to surrounding towns such as Am...more
Had a really nice break in the lakes. Fantastic lodge, really peaceful. short drive to Windermere or walkable if you enjoy the outdoor life. Would love to return to this lodge.
Had a great stay at Buena vista lodge. Would highly recommend. Weather was beautiful. And lodge is spacious and modern. Excellent facilities, And an incredible amount of outside space . My 2 dogs loved. A little tip if staying at Limefitt, Your able to order an online shop from Asda direct to your lodge, That way your holiday begins once you arrive. Can not wait to go back! Peace and tranquillity in beautiful surroundings Loved it.
This lodge was amazing absolute spotless, beds realy comfy , hot tub was great watching the night sky , would definitely recommend this lodge and will be returning again , bowness bay was great well worth a visit
Loved our stay at cottontail, it was my baby’s first holiday at 5 months. The lodge had everything you need for your stay and is very comfortable and modern. The lodge is less than 1 minuate walk to the edge of Windermere lake on the grounds of the resort - a massive plus. Didn’t use anything on the resort site so cannot comment apart from other couples tried to eat in the grounds restaurant but it was very busy so either book or you can eat out or order in! Local chippy 5 min drive away called little chippy did a great fish and chips.
I was taken to bosuns in march on a surprise girlie weekend, Loved it so much decided to book a 4 day break for me and hubby a few weeks later . He was as pleased as i was with the space and comfort that the lodge offered. Even better to see a screen has been erected around the hot tub making it really private. The weather was fantastic as well adding to a great break away . Will definately book again and recommend to friends and family
The lodge was beautiful and very comfortable and modern, it had lovely views of the lake and marina. Only thing that let it down was parking at side of lodge, it was really tight to get round as there is a lodge ajasent with a large balcony causing an obstruction. And if the park is busy you would really struggle to park your car there. You do have the option of the car park which isn’t far away but I like to park at side of lodge. Also on arrival found the wooden decking really slippy and there was no warning sign. For health and safety and common sense there should have been a sign especiall...more
Our second stay at Horseshoe Lodge. Again can’t fault anything. The setting is idyllic. The lodge is beautifully kept and has everything you need for a home from home feel. I highly recommend it although hope by doing so that it won’t be fully booked next time we want to stay!
We stayed over the bank holiday weekend and were stunned by the beautiful lodge (we stayed in grove) and its surroundings. We could not fault a thing!!!! The whole lodge was spotless and there was everything that you could need provided. We would highly recommend these lodges, you will not be disappointed.
We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend as a family including the dog. It is in a brilliant location close to lots of activities, we will be back.
Great lodge in a great location. Lodge is very modern and is filled with utensils for your stay we didn’t stru
A beautiful place to visit. This has been our second time staying at Copse and we’re fully intending to come back in the summer. Great location, just a little way from Windermere.
This was the first time we have stayed here, and came to the park after a recommendation. We chose the particular lodge as it is elevated and has a hot tub. The location is good, near the reception and bar area, but still quiet and relaxing. It is evident this is a good quality lodge, but is in need of some tidy up in the bathroom and ensuite- nothing off putting, just a little tlc required. We would return in the future
Second time I have stayed at this lodge I cannot be more pleased Everything you need is here and possible the best view on this park
We stayed at this lodge as was attended a wedding, it was in a perfect location right near the water and the lodge was lovely and tidy and had all the utilities we needed many thanks
Had a few problems when arrived but rang help line and was advised what to do. Lodge was in very good location, could see lake from decking. Weather was very good throughout our stay so we had mornings out and spent most of afternoons on decking with hot tub. Lodge was comfortable and had most things you needed for our stay. We love this area of the Lake District and this is the third time we’ve stayed here(different lodges). Our stay was made extra special as the very kind owner agreed we could take our dog as we had no one to care for him while we were away. Thank you to Lake District lo...more
Great lodge in a great location. I would recommend staying at the swallowdale lodge. Can’t waiit to return.
We stayed on a Monday - Friday basis at Beech Hill as a family of four (two teenage daughters). We were familiar with Fallbarrow having holidayed in our touring caravan on the site for many years. The park has a perfect location on beautiful Lake Windermere. The lodge was tastefully decorated, contemporary and very clean. It was very spacious and relaxing for the four of us. The utility room was a bonus to store coats and walking boots etc. All appliances were easy to use and there was plenty of crockery and utensils. Useful essentials like washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets were prov...more
Fantastic stay at the laughing duck! Great accommodation, surroundings and weather ! Family time, walks with the dog hot tub and bbq made a great weekend.
We were a family of 6 arriving at the lodge at around 5 in the afternoon. Everything was perfectly setup. We could buy a few essentials from the reception and our entry into the actual lodge was quite easy. The lodge was in excellent condition and very clean. We found our welcome package at the lodge. We spend 4 nights at the lodge and found it to be an excellent experience. We had quite a nice time. We could visit nearby locations like the steamer rides at Glenridding and Wordsworth's place of birth at Cockermouth.
Lovely location. Great lodge. Was perfect for our anniversary break away in the lakes. Could not ask for anymore and we will definitely be returning.
Had a lovely few days in Daffodils Lodge, very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The lodge is in a good position, with glimpses of the lake, through the trees. A short stroll away from Bowness centre. We will definitely return, in the future.
Such a lovely break, we had a lovely time at White Cross Bay, its location is perfect for us. The lodge was great, lovely spot, the hot tub is really private and it has everything we need there.
Had a very enjoyable stay at this lodge. We were very lucky with the weather which made the private sunny deck even more enjoyable. Perfectly positioned on the site and everything you could want was included. Would definitely return here.
Beautiful lodge in a fantastic location. Perfect for a relaxing break. Park is lovely. Will return..
Spent the week here to celebrate my 30th birthday and had the best time! If we weren't enjoying a gin in the hot tub we were out exploring all the sites of Windermere and surrounding areas with the dogs. I was very happy to find such a lovely lodge was dog friendly. I do these holidays frequently and this was the nicest lodge in the best location that we have stayed in. Pretty much equidistant from the centre of Windermere and Ambleside, and plenty to do on site. I'll be coming back as soon as possible.
We stayed as two couples and a dog. The Lodge was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The en suite bedroom and separate bathroom gave each couple privacy. The Lodge was clean and well maintained. Being only 2 miles outside Ambleside and a few miles to Bowness gave good access to the lakes. We were blessed with fantastic weather and enjoyed sitting out on the ample decking. Due to the positioning (and the fact there was no one staying in the unit on the one side), the Lodge felt private although the site was busy. It was also very quiet at night. We would definitely return. One m...more
We booked squirrels snug to celebrate my 40th birthday. I wanted a lodge with a hot tub where our dog was also welcomed. We’ve never been to the lakes before for a holiday so we did a lot of comparing to find the right lodge for us. I can honestly say we made the best choice. Squirrels snug was perfect, very clean, comfortable and had everything you could need. We have already recommended to family and friends and can’t wait to return to squirrels snug for our next holiday.
Chose this lodge for a break over Easter, the lodge is in a lovely location overlooking the lake the lodge has everything you want for a relaxing holiday and the hot tub is brilliant for relaxing after a day out exploring .
What a beautifully presented log cabin. Very tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you should need. Immaculately clean, fresh and cosy. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break and highly recommend Helm Crag !
We had a fantastic time in the damson lodge, it’s in a great location - very close to the park, entertainment etc. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was lots of games and DVD’s for the kids. Great value for money !
Rydal Lodge is a beautiful lodge situated on a lovely private cul-de-sac on the site. Upon arrival the lodge was spotlessly clean and tidy and we were really impressed with the comfort. We had absolutely no problems or any complaints whatsoever during our stay. One very slight niggle was that the hot tub is a little tired with not all of the jets seeming to work at once but it was superb for our needs. We were completely secluded in the tub which was lovely as walking around the site we saw many that had little or no privacy. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying at Rydal Lodge. If space,...more
A lovely lodge situated close enough to the shore of Lake Windermer for beautiful sunsets over the water. An excellent way to relax, unwind and reacquaint yourself with nature.
after staying in this property a couple of years ago we were very disappointed in the state of the place. However since new owners have taken over the property it adds a whole new dimension to staying there.Recent refurbishments and finishing touches are a credit to the new owners thus making windermere retreat a much more pleasureable place to stay.Well done.
Pleasurable short stay with family. Lodges were extremely clean, with excellent views and in a convenient location. Very scenic and a trip to LAke Windermere is a must. Staff were helpful and very friendly. We will definitely visit again.
We (three couples) had a brilliant stay at Megala Lodge mon-fri during our Easter Holiday. The lodge was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay in the Lakes. The hot tub is an added bonus particularly after being out on a long walk all day! We had amazing weather so we were able to enjoy the seating on the decking area outside. Already looking forward to our holiday next year!
We had a very enjoyable Christmas at Valley View - with all the home comforts we needed! The Christmas tree and other decorations provided helped make it very festive! We were extremely comfortable and were able to relax and enjoy a very Happy Christmas away from the stress and strain of everyday life, and no extended family to spoil it! Only the weather put a dampener on things a bit, but being in the Lake District, we did expect rain, but it was really just misty. Nonetheless when the sky was clear, the landscape was spectacular.
Sheffield Pike is a lovely 3 bed lodge but could be improved by upgrading the some of the kitchen equipment - for example, all the sharp knives (for food prep) were extremely blunt. There are oodles of wine glasses but not enough tumblers and no (child friendly) plastic tumblers or plastic plates. We were there with 3 children following a week in a smaller cottage (and much cheaper) in Wales where there was every kitchen utensil you could ask for, plastic cups and plates and an array of cooking dishes. I appreciate some people eat out all the time, but others don't and it is a self-catering ...more
Had a brilliant time staying in Badgers Hollow Lodge at White Cross Bay. Felt very comfy and homely. The park is in a great location and the lodge had everything we needed, all the mod cons plus the option of a bath or shower, the fridge was big and spacious to store our food and there was a wii and other games to play with too. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Had a lovely short break at Limefitt, Troutbeck Retreat is one of our favourite lodges, weather was kind to us, so enjoyed walking dogs.
Wonderful lodge in a quiet corner. Spacious and very clean. All home comforts making it a really enjoyable stay and could easily stay for a longer break. Beds very comfortable. Showers fab. Lots of outside space and a fab hot tub. Owners have put a lot of thought and effort in to making this a very desirable holiday home. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
Comfortable 4 day stay at Cedar Lodge.Party of 4 adults, 1 toddler & large dog.Only downside was size of kitchen area but that wouldnt stop us booking again.
Very clean lodge, great views and everything you could possibly need, great location and very dog friendly
I stayed in the lodge with family. There were 5 adults and a 7 month old baby. The location was excellent. Would reccomend the pub on site as well as queens head just up the road.
My and my boyfriend went for our 5th anniversary and we stayed in Windermere View. The lodge was lovely, a few things broken or not working inside however nothing that effected our stay. The hot tub was amazing, some of the jets didn’t work but there were only two of us so this didn’t matter. Food at the restaurant was really good. Defiantly more of a family resort but I would defiantly go again
We spent Xmas in ramblers rest and it was lovely. Obviously the on site pub had holiday hours and sometimes no food available but we were pre warned and took plenty of provisions. Also the pub staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. We spent time with other members of family who had also booked lodges. We’ve stayed at limefitt park a few times in different lodges and have enjoyed every one and hopefully will continue to do so .
Excellent lodge. It has all the equipment you might require in the kitchen, to be quite honest everywhere in the lodge. They have thought about what would make your stay comfortable and it was there. We didn’t want for anything. Just a wonderful, comfortable couple of days away from home. The DVD selection was great we need to go back to watch the rest of them.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, was in a great quiet location. Lodge was brilliantly equipped with an array of pots pans etc to use, best we’ve stayed in! Hot tub fabulous but no canopy there now so limited use in the rainy weather. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be back
would not have wanted to stay anywhere else. Short drive to windermere and ambleside, lovely lodge and great views
Best lodge my family has ever stayed in! It's very well equipped and had everything we needed (In other lodges we've booked, there has always been something missing or not working properly). It's beautifully clean and the decor and layout are excellent. It really is a 10/10 on all fronts. Would definitely book again!
Once again we had an amazing week in the most wonderful Lake District. Mountain View is an excellent lodge in an excellent location to use as our base.
Good location. Looked feeding badgers. Everything I needed loads of walks for dog. Can’t wait to come back.
We, a family of 6 & 1 dog, stayed for 3 nights over the Easter weekend. There had been some changes to the lodge all for the better. It was clean, tidy & nicely decorated. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you probably have in your own kitchen. It was in a lovely cul de sac which meant that there was no passing traffic although there was noise from the clubhouse but this didn't go on too late. All in all, we had a brilliant weekend, the weather was fantastic. We have all agreed that we would return to this lodge.
Great lodge... we stayed for four days. Very comfortable and great value for money. In a very quiet spot. We will be back !
My family of 6 recently had a weekend stay at fell view lodge and we had an amazing time. From the moment we arrived at the park everything looked amazing, the lodge was clean and ready to go upon walking in, it was equipped with everything we could of needed. We especially liked all the little extras like childrens games, dvds and the little music and charades quizes. The owners have thought of everything for the guests. The beds were very comfortable. Lovely outside decking area, very spacious, although did not sit out there much i have no doubt it will be absolutely amazing in the summer ti...more
Second time we have stayed here. It’s in a nice spot just next to Windermere lake and in a good location.
Great stay as spacious for large family and dog..big lounge ..excellent master bedroom with own walk in wardrobe...had to be careful when both showers in use as power dropped but that was a minor thing.. as it rained it was good we had free use of choices health club to use the pool...
Booking was easy was kept updated every step of the way. great lodge and location. could not fault it in any way.
The lodge had everything we needed and the hot tub was so lovely to come home to every day. The views were stunning. The location is a short drive to Windermere/Bowness. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our short break in Esk Pike Lodge. The lodge is very well-equipped and had everything we needed during our stay. With commanding views over the park, the lodge is nestled into a small wooded area. We found the lodge to be very clean and tidy, as well as being extremely cosy on the colder evenings. The position of the hot tub is fantastic, as we were able to listen to birdsong while watching the sun go down on several occasions, which was extremely relaxing. It really is the perfect place to stay in the lakes and we wouldn't hesitate to book again.
Still a lovely lodge, but requires better quality bedding and some general repairs needed. Overall still a very relaxing break with excellent views from the lodge. Would recommend highly. Ideal for people bringing their pet, with the fully enclosed balcony.
Me and my partner were after a last minute weekend away for his birthday and we couldn’t have been happier with the choice we made. The lodge was beautiful and the pictures don’t do it justice. Hot tub was amazing and the bed was really comfortable. Ideal location as we could sit in the hot tub and look out to the snow on the mountains. Stunning place and right on the lake. We would love to return again in the next few months.
The Lodge was perfect, spotless, spacious home from home. We were very lucky with the glorious weather (the bbq was perfect). The location of White Cross Bay is so central and convenient to explore. Would we return “definitely” A spectacular break!!!
We really enjoyed our stay at Woodmere Lodge. Great location on the park and the lodge has everything we needed for a brilliant family holiday.
We enjoyed a great stay at Fairfield lodge which is in a great location close to Troutbeck which has 2 great pubs for eating which are dog friendly. The site is fine with a limited shop and is ideally located for exploring Bowness, Ambleside and Grasmere
Disappointed with the standard of the cabin based on pictures.Hot Tub needs moving up into the decking area as its not in a nice place being tucked away in a low corner.Top kitchen cupboards need hinges as they have to be held open when trying to get items out which is dangerous as I had to balance them open on my head! Only realistically suitable for 4 adults as quite small, definitely would have been more disappointed had we booked this cabin longer than a weekend. Site and position of cabin excellent though.
We stayed for a Monday to Friday break. The site is perfectly located on Lake Windermere and a quick stroll away from the centre of Bowness. The lodge itself is great. Comfortable, clean and spacious for a family of four.
We had a wonderful Easter weekend in the Fellside Lodge. The whole place was immaculate and we loved every minute. Highly recommended
Absolutely loved our mini break at Glingly Dell over Easter, we really didn't want to leave. We relaxed, played games, had picnics on the decking, watched the bats over the lake as the sun went down and then settled in to watch movies back at the lodge. It was a perfect escape and lovely family time. We even watered the plants before we left!
I loved every part of my stay the lodge was so cosy and amazing. I would recommend this lodge to everyone and certainly looking to go again. as it was our honeymoon we was given a free boat trip and a gift from lake district holidays I thought this was such a nice surprise
Stayed for Easter weekend wish I’d of booked the lodge for a week, lovely style and comfortable everything we needed for a family break , great location will book again.
This was a lovely lodge to stay in with our 5 year old and 2 dogs. Great location for exploring the lakes. Lodge had everything we needed and was ideal for us. The hot tub is an added bonus.
Me and my partner had a great weekend at the oakwood lodge. The kitchen was well kitted out and all the rooms where clean. There was even a selection of board games and dvds to choose from in the evening. The only down sides was that there were a few light bulbs out in some of the rooms and we werent able to turn the outside spot lights on. But these were only minor things and defintly wouldnt put me off going again.
Nice clean lodge but quite small.Great cooker and hob and well equiped kitchen.Fabric settee and chairs which were comfy..Downsides for us:no loo rolls on arrival (quite inconvenient)and wooden floors in bedrooms (not to our taste) but no complaints. In our opinion, not the best position on the site but Ok if you,re not too bothered about views..Weather was terrible but this lodge is nice and warm.
Had a lovely weekend in this lovely lodge. Located in a fantastic area with near to Windermere and Ambleside. The hot tub was really good for relaxing.
We loved this lodge. The hot tub was amazing and the views were beautiful. We will definitely be back!!!
left quite disappointed with the lodge itself. Previously we’ve paid LESS and had more for our money, it’s my own fault for just assuming it would have same things in but this time we had no WiFi, no tv in twin room, no mirrors in twin room except a tiny little square in wardrobe door which was way too high for us all. Same in the bathroom with the mirror, had to stand on tiptoes to see in it.The lodge needs attention to detail a lot of little things are worn out needs few touch ups, radiator in bathroom full of rust on the top,an the valve at the bottom was cracked an burnt, mirror in bathro...more
Had a lovely few days here in May. The lodge was in an excellent position by the river and was enclosed and fairly private. The whole park was very dog friendly. Lodge well equipped. Lovely food at pub.
Beautiful lodge with everything you need. Good size for a family with added benefit of the hot tub. Just a couple of things that could be checked before change over of people as the remote didn’t work in the master bedroom for the tv and the bedside light the bulb had gone. Only tiny things and it’s not a complaint just an observation that the little things are worth checking. All in all a nice stay.
we had a week stay in owls nook lodge with children & grandparents, it was clean & the facilities were great in the lodge, the shower room had been refurbished since our last stay & was a great improvement, the lodge would be a bit cosy for 7 people but is plenty big enough for 4-5 people, the hot tub was especially pleasant after a full day
On arrival at the park found the staff at reception to be very helpful, when we finally was aloud in enter the lodge at 15:00 was very impressed of what i booked.......... But the more I was looking round the more issues we found, we couldn't believe that the dyson hoover was left full to the rim.... that my seam petty but it rings alarm bells to me as that such an basic thing to do..... the bath room is in need of modernising or some work doing, as when you finally get the bath run what take 20 mins as water from boiler would run cold with hot tap fully open so you have to nearly close...more
A lovely week in the gorgeous Lake District, that never fails to disappoint whatever the weather. Our accommodation was faultless and all the family including our 2 spaniels had a wonderful time. We hope to return in the not too distant future!
Lovely positioned lodge at Whitecross Bay with fantastic view from hot tub but was let down by condition of lodge needed good clean and decor looking abit tired and shabby in places, dirty plates left in kitchen cupboard. Bed in main bedroom very uncomfortable even though it has memory foam topper woke up stiff and aching back every morning and tv missing from room which would have been nice to have as stated in details. Bed in spare room had king size base at top of bed and double base on bottom with king size mattress on top totally unsuitable for size of room and caused an accident to big ...more
We came to stay for 3 nights, with 3 kids. The booking process was simple and the pre-arrival instructions were timely and helpful. On arrival the lodge was by far one of the best we have stayed in. Spotlessly clean, with all the possibly utensils and gadgets you could need for you stay (far more than we had anticipated!) The girls loved their own bedroom and the travel cot for the littlest fitted into the main bedroom with room the spare. Can not fault the condition and comfort of the lodge and it was lovely to come back to after a long day. Highly recommended to those thinking of booking...more
Lovely lodge, very homely and cosy. Hot tub is amazing! A perfect get away for the bank holiday weekend. Can’t wait to return.
Our stay at Badgers Rest located in Limefitt Park was a very positive experience. The siting of the lodge was perfect for the views and for easy access to the amenities available such as dog walking, playground and general recreation. The setting of the park is very discreet in such a lovely location and provides an excellent base for both local exploration and for going further afield to other areas. The accommodation offered by the lodge is to a very high standard.
Location of lodge was good, holiday park was very clean and position of lodge was good and very quiet and private. But lodge itself was very old and dated, needs a total refurb, the carpet was stained, the beds were awful, we had to leave a day early as the thought of another night in an uncomfortable bed. The room with the bunk beds was tiny and there was no where to put the children’s clothes. The bathroom was horrible and the shower leaked out of the door so floor was constantly wet, it felt dirty even though it was clean. The only upside was the hot tub which was lovely.
Overall pinehaven lodge was great, Excellent location on white cross bay, everything you need kitchen, living room etc.
Beautiful lodge, very comfortable, great location to the clubhouse etc, not too close just a short a stroll away. Hot tub was heaven! Ideally located in Windermere too, we drove in but if you fancied a walk it's doable. Would definitely go again, thank you :)
top quality lodge ideally positioned near the marina and just a short walk to the camps facilities. a lovely stay and would highly recommend it.
Lovely stay at this lodge, the only issue was during our stay the kids wanted to go on the aqua jets, however even though advertised and being told by staff they were on (including delaying travelling home on our last day) they were never on.
most relaxing break, lodge was very comfortable and in a great location, would definitely return, plenty of local attractions to visit.
