Stayed at Batvattan for 1 week. Place was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. My only issue was the showers which as an elderly partial amputee would benefit from non slip mats and grab rails. Transport is needed from this location. Generally speaking we had a pleasant experience.

A wonderful homely house and beautifuly decorated with Christmas decorations.
We relaxed as soon as we entered the house it has lots of space for the grandchildren to play too. What an amazing dream kitchen It was fully equipped for cooking our large family meal at new year. Thankyou for letting us stay we definitely want to book up again for next year.

Two families stayed is this lovely home. It really is a home away from home. Very cosey. It is very safe for children indoors and outdoors. We were at ease from the moment we walked through the door.
The location is great, just 10mins from Aviemore. Views are spectacular from most windows. Wild deer are seen regularly in the fields surrounding the house which young children loved spotting.
We would stay here again without a doubt !

I booked Balvattan Farmhouse as it seemed the perfect place for our family to all come together. It did not disappoint. House was large enough for 3 families - 7 adults, 4 children, a baby and 2 dogs to be together but also have our own space. The house was well equipped, if it wasn't there, it wasn't worth having! The garden was perfect for the children to play in. Views from the house were magnificent. My daughter and family have now returned to Kansas taking with them some very happy memories. Will definitely return.

We had a fantastic stay at the Balvattan Farmhouse over the New Year period.

The house was well equipped, spacious and also in a beautiful location looking over the Cairngorm Mountains.

Owners were very communicative and always on hand to help whenever necessary.

We had no complaints. A lovely few days and we will definitely be returning soon.

We had a good week stay at Balvattan - homely and comfy stay. We appreciated the all the Christmas decorations, superbly equipped kitchen and the location was fantastic! Balvattan lodge was spacious and could easily accommodate families of 10 people. Overall positive stay. Downside - the scatter cushions, some carpets and curtains we dusty - some refurbishment is needed. Also, less facilities at Balvattan compared to other Great North Lodges, which may be a negative for some. The staff at Great North Lodges were polite and expeditiously addressed all our queries - thank you!
