Overall we had a great time at the cottage and would happily return.
Bottle of wine and wee welcome treats were an appreciated nice touch.
It was a wee bit difficult to find as the postcode and Google maps didn't match and family arriving in the dark were back and forth passing it a few times.
Lovely walks on the doorstep too. In better weather you can have a picnic by the river just a ston'es throw from the door.

We would suggest a general spray and a few extra cloths for cleaning surfaces and extra dish cloths for drying would be useful. As would a wire brush for the BBQ grill and more charcoal and firelighters.

Just a general comment as this seems to be the case these days with accommodation hire. Would GNL consider changing entry and exit times? I could understand it during Covid for extra cleaning time. However when paying a premium for a long weekend and only getting access at 4pm, you're day's away! Then you spend the morning of departure stripping beds etc before having to leave at 10am...Just a thought.

Fabulous cottage and location. This was a very special family holiday with my parents as Dad is not well. He loves Feshiebridge and has many happy memories of the area. The cottage had everything we needed and is furnished to a very high standard. Games room was great and we had a laugh competing at darts. Will definitely booked again and recommend to others.
Couple of housekeeping issues:
Both en suite showers not draining well - might be filter needing cleaned?
Twin room en suite fan isn’t working.

Stunning property.

Feschiebridge Cottage looked beautiful on the website but surpassed our expectations on arrival. The bedrooms which are all en-suite are very spacious, the master is beautifully appointed with the four poster bed and quality soft furnishings and its large en-suite. Downstairs the open plan living creates a beautiful space to enjoy your holiday. The kitchen dining area is huge and very well appointed - high quality units, appliances and crockery etc - everything has been thoughtfully provided for. Everything is so cosy and comfortable and has a luxurious feel to it. The cottage was lovely and warm with the underfloor heating and log burners. Outside the hot tub was great and the bbq hut a welcome addition in the cold weather - again all the thoughtful extras of fur rugs etc appreciated.
The location was lovely and peaceful with great walks straight from the door. The huge boot-room at the front door for coats and boots was well used and a great feature. We really enjoyed our family holiday at Feschiebridge Cottage and would definitely return.

We have stayed at Feshiebridge several times previously and the property and location never disappoint; regardless of the weather. There are some lights which require the lamps changing but this is only a minor point, also states a bike store; being a keen cyclist I have my own bikes so these had to be stored in games area for security.
The location is spectacular, with walks and trails a plenty; highly recommend walking to the old post office in Kincraig, only a 3 miles there and back and the food is superb. If like me you enjoy the off-road cycling then if you feeling energetic theres the Burma Road or if something more sedate Inschriach forest is amazing and leads onto Loch An Eilein. The hot tub is welcome relief after a day exploring, and then to curl up on the large sofas with your favourite dram in front of the fire rounds up a perfect day.
Tte house is exceptionally well equipped; you do need to explore all the cupboards to find everything but we found everything we needed. The hob does take a while to warm up but when in Scotland you don’t rush, you just take the day as it comes, The main bed is like a giant hug, you just don’t want to get up but when you do the house is lovely and warm thanks to the underfloor heating, it’s really noticeable when you come in from a cold day in the hills.
The drive to the property is a little steep and can be a little slippery but once I onto the rear the area is flat and and easy to walk around, the bird feeders are filled but are soon empty with the abundance of birds; we picked up a large bag of food from Home Bargains in Aviemore (£12.99) whilst collecting more logs; which kept the feathered friends happy.
Highly recommended and will booking again for next year

This is a great house in a great location, very private. Great place for walks. Because we have been to the area many times before we know what is available.
Just as well as there was no information at the house, nothing to tell you what was to do in the area. There was also no information about the house, bin day and when the hot tub guy would be calling for example.
Also no emergency information, turn off points for water or gas and no emergency contact numbers. The first aid kit and fire equipment were in the bottom draw in the kitchen and not out in plan sight, we found them 2 days before leaving.
Also no visitors book.
The bedroom was not as clean as it first looked. Don't think the drugs had been hoovered as covered in hair and the beams above the bed were very dusty with cobwebs, not nice when you get into a lovely clean bed and then look up.
On your arrival after a long drive we thought a nice sock in the hot tub would be great, but the chemical smell was very strong and made our eyes sting after just a few minutes. It was Monday morning before the hot tub guy came, he was great and sorted the problem out straight away.

One lovely thing is you can get fresh free range eggs from a neighbour at the front gate.

Beams and rugs will be dusted & cleaned at the next clean. The first aid kit moved. Welcome book checked and updated.

Fantastic cottage, great location wonderful wildlife and walks.
Hot tub was excellent and well maintained.
Some of the light bulbs did not work and the shower fan in the double bedroom onsuite did not work.
Despite these little faults we were going to re-book for August 2024 but the property was not available, so we have chosen to stay at one of the other cottages at Great North Lodges.

House is in ideal quiet location for us as close to Aviemore, Loch Insch and the Cairngorms all of which we like to visit.
Also some great walks, running and cycling routes all from our doorstep.
This was our second visit and am sure we will continue to visit in future.

This was by far the nicest holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. It’s roomy and well laid out. Its location is great with trails to walk and cycle from the door. The river is great for a dip and it’s not far from Abiemore for shops. The hot tub was lovely after a day of activity.
We will be going again.

I cannot recommend Feshiebridge Cottage enough. This is a truly fantastic and exceptional property!
The house itself was simply perfect in every way. The interior of the property was extremely tasteful and it was evident that no expense had been spared in kitting this house out. Everything in this property was of top quality and our every need was catered for.
The location of the property was idyllic and magical. The views of the forest were breathtaking and the children loved swimming in the beautiful river followed by a dip in the hot tub, finished off by smores in the BBQ hut. An extra bonus was the daily visit from the seemingly resident red squirrels!
Thank you for an extremely enjoyable and memorable stay. We will be back!

Excellent house for a family celebration. So many activities within 15 minute drive. Water activities at Loch Insh, cycling at Rothemurchus, walking 12 miles from the house in beautiful area, wild swimming at the bridge two minutes from the house. Whisky tasting at Dalwhinnie and a visit to the Highland museum.
Evenings were spent relaxing in the BBQ hut, hot tub and using the excellent kitchen facilities.
We spent a lot of time watching the birds at the feeders inc the wood pecker and the highlight was a visit from a pine Martin what a treat. The resident chickens from next door provided entertainment. The last night we ate at The Cross at Kingussie with their tasting menu an absolute delight!

a great place, well away from any busy roads, the accommodation top notch

Excellent location and property. Probably one of the better properties we’ve stayed in when you consider what it has available, hot tub, pool/snooker, darts and ping pong. We were very lucky with the weather but these activities would be awesome to have available on a wet day, especially if you have children. I kept my mountain bike in garage as well which is very handy and secure (the bike storage already had three bikes in it, I’m guessing the owners).

Only negative was that the garden isn’t 100% secure. The next door neighbours keep chickens and they were able to get in the garden, not ideal if you have two Border Terriers. On one occasion one of the dogs caught a chicken which wasn’t a chilled experience, we then had to make sure the chickens were out of the garden before letting the dogs out and supervised the. Whilst out as the chickens would wonder back in after a little while. The front gates could do with a bit of chicken wire across each side as small to medium dogs could get through and on to the road.

I loved it here and I’m pretty sure we’ll be back, the location was spot on for us.

Jon, Nat and Baxter.

What a lovely cottage in an excelent location. Great open plan downstairs that is complimented by the log burners to add ambiance to the space. The games room in the garage is great as is the out door hot tub. I would highly recommend !

The cottage is lovely and the photos on the website don’t really do it justice. Fixtures and fittings generally high quality and loads of space for our group of 6.

Couple of minor issues - showers really don’t drain properly. We mentioned this to the maintenance company, but were advised it was because of the septic tank.

Also, parking for 3 cars is very tight and the drive entrance quite tricky.

However, these were manageable and we had a fantastic time.

This is our third stay at this property and it’s a great place and location but the property just needs a good deep clean(cobwebs on door frames) and is needing a spruce up, that said, it is a lovely property and the addition of the hot tub is great. We know that it has a new owner now and they may make some changes (logs used too be included but not now, for the price you pay for the property, you have to buy and with two wood burners all week!)

We returned to feshiebridge after a fabulous stay in 2018. The cottage is located in such a beautiful place , overflowing with the most stunning wildlife and right next to the bridge over the river. It was fabulous to hear the fast flowing river . After our stay 4 years previously we were very pleased that the cottage remains a high class place to stay. Warm cosy and with all mod cons. The only very small issue is that there were some small areas that could do with a little improvement, but after mentioning these , we learned that the owner is spending a few weeks there to fix the issues. On reflection , this is a dog friendly cottage and if you intend to take dogs away with you, do not expect to stay at "the ritz". We will definitely be returning very soon and bringing our dogs with us. They absolutely loved bounding round the enclosed very large garden . A fabulous point to mention is the entrance porch which is ideal for muddy boots,, wet coats and drying the dogs off, what a convenience . I would also like to mention the high quality of the towels and robes provided and also the Miele white goods, especially the great washing machine and tumble dryer . All in all I would definitely recommend a stay here

Holiday of three of us in our 60s. Had great holiday. House really comfy and well equipped. Appreciated books about area/local history. Made use of hot tub but less so of BBQ hut. Did have dip in river though that literally just over the road. Loved waking up to sound of river. Really quiet location but only 20 mins by car from Aviemore. Lots of activities in local area and great walks from the door.

Feshiebridge Cottage is only metres from a cascading river, with walks from the front door or across the bridge, and a wild swim in the River Feshie below the bridge, just downstream. A water sports and adventure centre, with a bar and restaurant is an easy walk away on Loch Insh. With Aviemore, the Scottish Wildlife Park, a further water sports centre on Loch Morlich, and lots of other walks and beauty spots only a matter of minutes away, the location would be difficult to improve.
The cottage sleeps and caters for six people with plenty of space, and is well equipped. The negatives are the drive, which is steep, badly potholed and made-up from fine mill waste; the dishwasher, which has a broken door with no spring and this can fall on the unwary, which happened to one of our friends, causing bruising and some discomfort; and the 'games room' in the garage, which amounted to a very dusty table football game - there is not really a games room!
Otherwise, the cottage is a superb centre to base yourself in, to visit the local area and the Cairngorms in general. Recommend walking south along the River Feshie and paths to Glen Feshie, where the wooded area suddenly opens out on the wider river; walking around the Uath Lochans (four small lochs); and around (clockwise) Loch an Eilein. Hearing the river in the night after heavy rain was an experience, as well as seeing the raging water in the morning, where clear calm had been the previous day when we had completed our wild swim!
No problem in recommending the location or the cottage.
