This was our 5th stay at Glenfeshie House and it still delivers outstanding accommodation, fantastic location and wonderful relaxation! The open plan living suits us all and the bedrooms are warm and comfortable!
An observation is that the bathrooms are getting a bit tired but this is in no way a criticism, only honest feedback.
We’re already booked for next year!

We really loved our stay at Glenfeshie House. Walks straight out of the door to Feshiebridge and Uath Lochans, plus others, are great. There is no passing traffic, so totally quiet and out of the way. The house is spacious and comfy. The only downsides from our stay are: the oven is too small (even though there was only two of us), there is no welcome pack (just some fudge) and no bird food for the feeders. Once we bought bird food and peanuts we enjoyed watching from the window and had lots of different birds, as well as visits from the red squirrels, badger and pine marten. The outside space also looked good for anyone staying in warmer times. This was a great relaxing stay and we would recommend for anyone wanting to get away from it all.

This was our second stay at Glenfeshie House, and third with Great North Lodges. It is our favourite place to go, and my personally favourite holiday of the year. The house is amazing and the perfect layout for our family of 4, my brothers family of 4 (4 kids under 13 total) and my parents to have a downstairs ensuite room to get peace when they need it. The living space is open, modern but homely. The kitchen is very well equipped. We always end up buying lots of bird food and filling all the feeders right outside the livingroom window. We've had so many birds including a woodpecker, and then a squirrel and badger! It's in what feels like the middle of nowhere so great for just walking for cycling from your front door to escape. But also only 20 mins drive from all the things to do in Aviemore. We never manage to fit it all in in a week. We have booked up for next year already. Thank you Great North Lodges for your exceptional customer service too when my son left his wash bag!! We can't wait to be back there.

Absolutely loved Glenfeshie house, very spacious, clean, beautifully furnished, set in idyllic location. Games room was a bonus for both kids and adults. Lovely walks close to the house. Only downside is that we could of done with an extra oven when cooking for 8 people, but that wouldn't put us off staying there again. Drying room was brilliant for getting wetsuits and swim clothes dry. Would definitely stay there again as the house felt like a home.

3rd stay for our family and it was as perfect as I remember it from last time. Some beautiful new additions (firepit and new sofas) have really added to the comfort and social areas. I love this house and will be back again.

Our party of 10 had the most wonderful stay at Glenfeshie House in August. The position of the house, in woodland between Kingussie and Aviemore, and very close to Loch Insh with all it's water sports, meant we were never short of things to do, and the riverside walk from the back of the house toward Feshiebridge was breathtakingly beautiful. The house itself was warm and cosy, tastefully and comfortably furnished and very well equipped. We always look for a house with a games room (our family are ping pong fanatics!), and this house had the most lovely one. We would certainly love to return to Glenfeshie House in the future.

Amazing house in a lovely position. We had a relaxing week enjoying the walks at Feshie. Lots of space and comfy beds, loved the firepit and barbecue. We have booked again for next year.

Stylish and spacious property in the middle of the forest. Lovely quiet location but only 25 minutes to Aviemore and near Kincraig and Loch Insh. Would definitely return.

This excellent well appointed accommodation is well located in the heart of the Cairngorms. Close to loch inch for outdoor activities it also has good cycle tracks and walking paths through the forests. Lots of wildlife around the house, red squirrels, woodpeckers etc . Most amenities are not far away although bottle disposal was initially a problem. The recycling centre in Kingussie is only open on Saturdays ( Kincraig village hall is the place). A table tennis table with bats and no balls was a minor inconvenience but all of this is trivia in what has all the ingredients for a perfect holiday.

A wonderful location and a perfect house for a family gathering! The experience was very well organised prior to arrival and the house met all our needs. It was warm and welcoming and the dining table provided a focal point to enjoy time together. The washing facilities and kitchen equipment were of a high standard and we were able to use the outside barbecue. There was so much to explore and safe haven for children. The highland cows, red squirrels and birds made it perfect. The grandchildren now wish to relocate permanently!

Definitely a home from home! Well done!

We had a lovely week at the house - it was ideal for group of 8 adults and 2 kids given the large dining area and pretty lounge. We loved the remote location and even had impromptu visit from highland cows on patio. Tricky to find given the small sign at roadside and its proximity to the turning so much so two arrivals missed it in the dark so would recommend you use 'what three words' and load onto google maps!

As others have commented the place needs a bit of a refresh in some areas (some marked walls, grubby rug under table, stained carpet in lounge). It was also disappointing to find cement mixer and lime cement materials left in the 'games room' meaning the kids couldn't really use the area in the cold/snowy weather.

A fire guard for the woodburner would have been useful as could only put on in the evening once kids were in bed.

Enjoyed our stay and if the noisy plumbing/heating issues we raised on departure have been remedied we would return!

The houses are very well equipped and warm and welcoming!
GNL staff are extremely friendly and helpful if required.
I highly rate GNL and look forward to staying at a Lodge through their website in the near future!

Our family regularly use GNL for our traditional New Year break. We decided to try Glenfeshie house. The house is located not far from Loch Insh. There is another house close by but far enough that you do feel secluded in the woodland area. There are public footpaths that run right past the house so it’s not difficult to go for beautiful walks The house itself was spacious for our party of 7 people. The communal areas are great. The living room corner couch was v comfy and enough seats for everyone to sit - when we wanted to chill out and watch a movie. The large dining room table was great for dining, drinks and games. Each of the bedrooms are beautifully appointed and lots of different configs for those travelling with extended family / friends. You are located about 20 mins from Aviemore should you need anything you may have forgotten to bring with you or to visit the Cairngorms. We were lucky enough to get snow on NYE / NY Day. It did make it a little challenging to get out at one point but we did manage to do it. Some things to note…. The house could do with a touch up - some marks on the walls from previous occupants. Also. The freezer is tiny!!! We like to cook our own food when away and with food for 7 people for 7 days, it wasn’t big enough. There are 2 fridges however so more than enough room for fridge items. There are no outdoor bins and they have to be taken to a farm about 7/8 mins drive away. These are not negative points btw - just things to be mindful of. All in all a fantastic house that we loved staying at. So much so, we have booked for next year.

Loved our stay at this house. Extremely comfortable and well organised. A few things we had problems with were the washing machine sometimes didn’t spin properly and we couldn’t open the door. The door to the outside in the lounge was extremely stiff to open. The only other comment would be the oven is extremely small for trying to do a roast for ten people.

ideal location for us as had 3 dogs too so walking the area was great.

Perfect for my elderly Grandmother as had downstairs room with shower and level throughout kitchen and dinningroom into lounge
Lounge fantastic altho a few stains on seat covers visible, comfy enough tho.

Bedrooms upstairs great size and lay out very comfy and plenty bathrooms. Only complaint was some of the materesses and duvets had staining on them when removing covers for washing

Garden fantastic for wild life red squirrels plenty birds including a Jay and Woodpecker.
Would recommend if you like peace and quiet and being surrounded by nature.
