Reindeer House has outstanding views of the Cairngorms and is positioned in a large and mature garden.

The hot tub gazebo gives uninterrupted views across the valley. Reindeer House has a large decking area surrounded by mature trees with an abundance of wildlife in the garden. There is also a lovely tree house in the garden for adventures.

We had a nice stay in this house however the photos of the property we felt were deceptive. There is a very large and noisy main road right at the bottom of the garden between the property and the beautiful view. The photos do not show this as they are angled specifically to avoid it however its the first thing you will notice if you had expected a secluded retreat. The hot tub is nice but watching and listening to traffic go by was just not pleasant for us and we were very disappointed.

Reindeer house a a comfortable, well equipped house, with everything required for a relaxed stay in the Cairngorms. The view of the surrounding mountains is amazing, especially from the sun room and the luxurious hot tub. There is constant entertainment from the visiting wildlife which is a great feature due to the owners providing numerous feedings stations for birds and red squirrels. It would be easy just to stay in the house but the surrounding areas are really worth exploring. There are numerous interesting low level walks as well as mountains to climb, wildlife reserves, lakes and rivers to kayak on, plenty of restaurants and tea shops and the coast is within easy reach as well as numerous places of historic interest. If the weather is poor, a trip into Inverness is also worthwhile. We have stayed here twice and have just booked our 3rd stay, which says it all.

This is the eighth time we have used Great North Lodges. We have never been dissapointed yet.
Reindeer house is a hidden treasure. More roomy than the photos make it out to be, and perfect for long or short walks from the property.
We where blessed with great weather and the Northern Lights.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, and all in good condition.
The hottub was great addition.
The house has a fantastic garden to watch lots of wildlife in.

We had a fantastic stay at Reindeer House, the house itself was spotless and had everything you could possibly think of. The hot tub was an excellent addition and very welcome after a day exploring the nearby attractions.

The garden was brimming with wildlife thanks to the well stocked bird feeders, and the red squirrels were a joy to watch each morning over breakfast.

All in all a fab week, we will definitely be back.

Booked for a week based on reviews and photos. Was not disappointed. The house itself is lovely and the location is easy to find, between Grantown on Spey and Aviemore. The garden and the view from the rear of the house is breathtaking. We saw loads of red squirrels and different types of birds. The hot tub is a nice addition and excellent quality - the best one we’ve had. The house itself is clean as a whistle and well maintained. It’s spacious and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the walk from the house through the woods to the little garden centre with a great cafe. All in all a great family holiday and we would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here a few times. Love the location and the hot tub is great after a day out. If you are into bird watching, this is the house for you. Lots of red squirrels too. I needed some help while staying there and the assistance was first class. There is WiFi but no smart tv.

We had a great stay in this very well equipped, comfortable and cosy cottage. The view is spectacular, especially when it snowed. There was an abundance of wildlife in the garden as the owner feeds the birds (and red squirrels-very entertaining) which ensured there was always plenty to see. We particularly enjoyed the covered hot tub, really useful for the snowy/wet days. There are plenty of walks nearby and lots to do, the Cairngorms is a great place to visit. The only negative was the close proximity to the A95 which meant quite a lot of traffic noise and the BBQ hut being out of action. But the road did not deter the wildlife and we enjoyed watching it so much that we have already booked again.

We had a fantastic 2 weeks stay at Reindeer House with some lovely cold and snowy weather to make it extra special. The property was lovely - spotlessly clean and well equipped and in a great location with amazing views across to the Cairngorms. Christmas decorations had been put up which was a really nice touch and communication with Great North Lodges from initial booking to departure was excellent. Highly recommended.

I have used Great North Lodges to book my staycations over the years and have never been disappointed. Their website is easy to use with a good range of luxury properties. Enquiries are dealt with quickly and on one occasion helped in returning an item that i had left behind.
Reindeer house is in a fantastic location for exploring the Cairngorms national park and surrounding areas. It is fully equipped with everything you need and the views from the hot tub are outstanding, especially after a day of walking/exploring. It is close to Granton-on-Spey and Aviemore for stocking up with the fridge and dining out. Lots of wildlife is attracted to the bird and squirrel feeders and look out for badgers and pine marten crossing the decking! Great walks from the doorstep and a good excuse to visit the Speyside Center for breakfast, lunch or coffee and cake.
