I took my mum and two boys (Under 10) to Brixham during October half term, and we booked 8 Dolphin Court for the first time.
We could not have been happier with the property!
Firstly, the location is great. Just a three minute walk down to the inner harbour area, with all it's shops, cafes and restaurants. In addition, the large parking space on the building complex itself was perfect. A parking space like this in Brixham is unusual!
But the property itself was amazing! The large picture window in the living area, along with 3 other windows in this room, means that you get a fantastic view at all times of the day. Myself and my mum enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening, overlooking the fish market, watching the hubbub of boats coming in and going out.
My boys really enjoyed spotting seals from this window and the balcony, and the first thing they did every day was say good morning to "our friends" down on the pontoon!
The apartment itself has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It feels like it must be double or triple glazed as it's very quiet, and the thick curtains also helped stop the light and any noise from the fishermen disturbing us overnight. I slept well all week!
We had an issue with a fire alarm battery running low/beeping and hot water not working on the first day, but the team at My Brixham Holiday immediately rectified this, as someone was with us fixing the issue within 30mins!
This was our second booking through the company, and our first time at 8 Dolphin Court. We were very happy and will be back!

We've been visiting Brixham for a number of years now and always stay in this apartment because we love it so much. Last year, however, was different - it was being managed by a large corporate company who's cleaners used so many perfumed chemicals that the place absolutely stank. So before booking this year, I called My Brixham Holidays Ltd, spoke to Fiona who thankfully reassured me that the cleaning was being taken care of by a totally different company.
Loved the new walk in shower.
Still so much in love with this place that we hope to keep coming back in the years to come
Thank you My Brixham Holidays Ltd for taking over the management. It's good to know that it's being handled by a local company who do actually care

Very comfortable apartment, well equipped kitchen, basic supply pack, milk and bread also provide - nice touch.
Location is very close to harbour up a small hill by the yacht club. Parking is excellent I have a big car and managed comfortably.
Very clean, great shower and comfortable beds and lounge furniture.
Small balcony with chairs and great view

A great location, we enjoyed watching all the activity of the harbour. It can be noisy at the fish market in the morning but we didn't mind this. An easy walk into town, lots to do, enjoyed spotting seals from the balcony, very comfortable accommodation.

A lovely flat with fantastic views of the harbour. Within easy walking distance of town centre, we visited the fish market (visible below the flat) and loved watching the boats coming in and out of the harbour. Great variety of National Trust houses and gardens in the area, and lots for children to do.

Regular visitors to brixham, 1st time in this property, lovely position, great views, could do with a lift for those less mobile, but otherwise great

No 8 Dolphin Court has a bright comfortable lounge with stunning triple-aspect views and efficient central heating. The 50in TV is great and there are some lovely pictures in the flat. We appreciated the ginger cake, tea bags, milk, and daffodils. The shower room is new and modern with a large walk-in shower with good hand grab rails but nowhere to put shower gel.
The kitchen, apart from the crockery and white goods, is poorly and cheaply equipped with a tiny dirty and rusty toaster (only takes 2 very small pieces of bread, for 4 people, really!!) Except for one decent cast iron pan with a lid, there is only a jumble of various saucepans, none with lids, including 2 old aluminium pans that wouldn’t sit flat on the hob (who still uses those anyway?), 3 greasy and scratched unsafe non-stick frying pans we wouldn’t dream of using. Good luck too with trying to peel vegetables with the cheap bent peeler there. The ice box door latch is broken.
We had to re-make the double bed. The mattress topper was hanging off the bottom end of the bed by about 6in, the mattress protector was off to one side and the duvet cover was crumpled up and not properly on. There was only one big towel per person, plus one hand towel in the shower room. The shower drain was partially blocked, waiting for a flood to happen. The shelf above the basin is loose and tilts down forwards. There was no spare toilet roll.
On arriving we straight away noticed that the end of one of the curtains on the main big window in the lounge had come off the hooks and was hanging down, and the window was marked where people had put their hands/heads on it to admire the view. We fixed the curtain and cleaned the window despite the fact that we couldn’t find any window cleaner, J-cloths or kitchen roll (something we have always found in other holiday lets we stayed in). We did find dust and cobwebs, not much but it was there. There was a note saying that rubbish is only put into the dustbin downstairs in black bin bags otherwise the bin men wouldn’t collect it; however, there wasn’t a black bin bag anywhere in the flat so we reluctantly had to leave our rubbish in the kitchen.
We always take great care to leave a holiday let in a tidy and clean state, everything washed up, kitchen surfaces wiped, bathroom clean, etc. and the rubbish disposed of as instructed. What we don’t do though is strip the bed which, to our great surprise, is something that was asked for in this flat but having had to re-make the bed in the first place we weren’t inclined to do so and, in any case, find this request unacceptable. We would not book this flat again, despite the fabulous views it simply does not compare with other holiday accommodation we’ve stayed in, there is a meanness about it.

Thank you for writing a review and for supplying your feedback. The owner has since reviewed the cleaning, This has resulted in a new cleaner taking the property on and the range of kitchen utensils at the property has been attended to as well. I believe the request to strip the beds was in place during the time when we reopened after covid 19, I am sorry that the request was still present in the flat. I am pleased you enjoyed the views from the flat and could do so comfortably.
