This property is in an ideal walking location for Edinburgh centre and two minutes walk from a small Sainsburys and Tescos. The house is very comfortable and clean with little extras supplied like tea and coffee. There are two lovely bathrooms, and a warm and cosy living area and kitchen with mod cons.
This was a great location in Edinburgh to use as a base for a vacation and for family visits. The house is very comfortable, well equipped and is located beautifully to get wherever you need to go whether it be on foot or by bus or whatever. We were made to feel welcome immediately and that just set the tone for a terrific visit to Edinburgh in general and Stockbridge in particular. The electronic information guide that was provided when the booking was completed was absolutely first class and very, very helpful. This is a great property.
Thanks for enabling us to find such a fantastic house. Everyone in our party of 11 commented on what a gem of a property it was. Good value for money.
What an amazing experience! Absolutely overwhelming! Everyone in our party had an unforgettable time! Brilliant!!!!!
We had a brilliant weekend at Reddish Manor. Plenty of space to relax, and to party, comfy bedrooms, large gardens, gorgeous kitchen (with absolutely everything you could possibly need!) and Garfield the owner was so helpful and amenable to anything we asked for. Everyone had a absolutely fabulous time! We would love to come again one day.
Our party consisted of 15 adults and 6 children and each and every one of us had a great time at Stuckgowan. The house was larger and more impressive, than our expectations had been from looking online at the images shown. The house itself was immaculate and the facilities were tremendous.... I could not recommend Stuckgowan any more highly!
So much space, lovely location, very comfortable bedding, lovely pool and efficient booking service.
Pros: close to nice restaurants, 10 minute walk to Prince street. Nice layout with 2 big bedrooms. One bedroom with two twin beds so great for kids. Really nice bathroom and shower. Excellent and we'll stocked kitchen. Owner very helpful and responsive. Cons: beds ok but a little firm. The bedrooms are in the basement so has steep stairs ( would be difficult if you have mobility issues). Take the secure parking for the extra charge, parking in Edinburgh is a pain.
The house is immaculate and very well kept. The owners have thought of everything and the house had everything we needed and more. The owners were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The house is ideally located for Edinburgh and for the beaches too. We will definitely be back!
We booked the Gatsby for my sister-in-law's hen weekend and it could not have been more perfect. The house itself is stunning and one of those places where the pictures just don't do it justice. Everyone commented on how lovely it was and the kitchen is perfect for hosting large groups and has everything and more you will need for a great stay. We had dinner in the Learney Arms which is next door and the service and food were excellent. Alex the owner was so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome in his beautiful house. Would thoroughly recommend and would love to book it agai...more
17 family members, ranging in age from 8 to 85, and two dogs, stayed at Fairfield House for the weekend to celebrate multiple birthdays and an engagement, and we could not have had a nicer time. The house has been designed and set up so well, every room is beautifully furnished and the bedrooms are so spacious. The jacuzzi, games room and tennis court kept everyone very well entertained, and the surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful. There are so many choices of activities in the house and locally to do that the weekend passed in a flash. We had caterers from Melbourne Place, who ...more
I lead a group of 45 people, and roughy half of us stayed at Stucktaymore. It is a dream house in virtually every way. We had a little trouble with the oven and the wifi, and with some fuses blowing and not being able to get to the breaker. But this put no damper whatsoever on the experience overall. It is a MASSIVE home with every amenity you might want. We were all very sad to be leaving, and I'm sure that if you book this property for any length of time, you'll have the same experience we did.
Comfortable stay lots of room in this central located mews house. Very quiet location but within walking distance of the city centre.
We had a family group ranging from age 3 to 90. The house was very well appointed and comfortable, re
Wow - what an incredible house! The setting overlooking Oban bay was just spectacular. Views went for miles. The house was spacious, fully equipped and decorated to the highest standard. It was the perfect house for a hen party. We would not hesitate to come back.
Perfect place to hold a hen weekend or even a weekend away with family, I would definitely recommend this to others. It really is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. The train line is very close (as we were already advised) but it really wasn't an issue as you just get used too it and it is literally for a matter of seconds. All the rooms were perfectly presented and I will definitely keep in mind for other get togethers
A beautifull house with a good view over Oban. We were staying with two families and frieds (12) in the house and it was a marvellous vacation. Maybe the space in the kitchen good be bigger, because with 12 adults it was a little bit small, butt all the other things as rooms, bathrooms, garden, cleanliness, area etc. Almost everything. We want to thank the organisation. It is really a very good house to have a holiday like you are coming home. Scotland is so beautifull and the people are great. Greetings Jacqueline
Just back a 3 night stay for my sisters hen do and what can I say.. amazing! The house is massive and has absolutely everything you need for the weekend. Beautiful views and I loved all the individually decorated bedroom some with amazing baths. Everyone had the best time! We jumped along on the bus to Largs for the day but were happy to get back to the house to party! Well equipped for children also.
This was a lovely clean and modern house for our hen party. Everything we needed was in the house and garden. The owners have put a partition fence across the garden splitting it into two halves so the garden isn't as pictured. Beds were comfortable and there was lots of storage space. The surround sound music system in the living areas was great. There are straightforward instructions in a welcome pack in the kitchen and plenty of fridge space for large groups. The hot tub is located over the driveway a bit separated from the house but it was defiantly a bonus. House parties were very communi...more
Excellent stay. The house is in a perfect location for the city centre and the main tourist spots and references/. Parking is very tight - the suggested 3 cars fit (just!). The house was immaculately clean and fully provided with the required kitchen utensils. The bedroom configurations suited our party well. Thank you all - I'm sure we will be back.
A family group of 9 of us stayed at Holly cottage for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. We had three teenage girls and an 11 year old with us. The house was gorgeous and very clean. We had a slight issue working the water for showers but that was more our misunderstanding than anything else. The bedrooms were great and beds were comfortable although the mattresses on the single beds downstairs were apparently not very comfortable. The location was great. The smoke alarm was the biggest issue as it goes off all the time while cooking. I was told to mention that it should be a heat sensor a...more
Had a great Hen weekend at Alexander House! The house is fantastic and provided absolutely everything we needed (and more!). Jo provided excellent support prior to arrival, ensuring that we had all the relevant information required. All 21 girls had a fab weekend and cannot rate the place highly enough!
Beach End is a wonderful place to stay. Part of it's charm is being cut off from vehicle access at high tide - there is a footpath to the local pub and village. The views from the kitchen are beautiful with fantastic sun rises and sun sets and the ever changing view of the water. Watch the seals swimming around while you have a cup of coffee. The living room is a little cold and you need to keep a fire burning - getting logs to the house can be a bit tricky depending on your vehicle. Also a shame that the garden by the kitchen has a hedge as it takes away the view! Kitchen well equipped and...more
Had an absolutely fantastic stay in FoldYard Cottage. Amazing venue, clean and comfortable with a well equip kitchen. Great location and easy find with the directions provided. The house itself is in great condition and all our friends and family were stunned. Great addition with the hot tub and sauna and the weather was very kind to us so we were able to enjoy these facilities. Made many great memories staying here x
Caretaker friendly and helpful. Place very clean. Proper bedside tables would have been useful. Hard to put a glass of water on sloping chair.
