We had a brilliant weekend at Reddish Manor. Plenty of space to relax, and to party, comfy bedrooms, large gardens, gorgeous kitchen (with absolutely everything you could possibly need!) and Garfield the owner was so helpful and amenable to anything we asked for. Everyone had a absolutely fabulous time! We would love to come again one day.
This property is in an ideal walking location for Edinburgh centre and two minutes walk from a small Sainsburys and Tescos. The house is very comfortable and clean with little extras supplied like tea and coffee. There are two lovely bathrooms, and a warm and cosy living area and kitchen with mod cons.
This was a great location in Edinburgh to use as a base for a vacation and for family visits. The house is very comfortable, well equipped and is located beautifully to get wherever you need to go whether it be on foot or by bus or whatever. We were made to feel welcome immediately and that just set the tone for a terrific visit to Edinburgh in general and Stockbridge in particular. The electronic information guide that was provided when the booking was completed was absolutely first class and very, very helpful. This is a great property.
Thanks for enabling us to find such a fantastic house. Everyone in our party of 11 commented on what a gem of a property it was. Good value for money.
Our party consisted of 15 adults and 6 children and each and every one of us had a great time at Stuckgowan. The house was larger and more impressive, than our expectations had been from looking online at the images shown. The house itself was immaculate and the facilities were tremendous.... I could not recommend Stuckgowan any more highly!
Loch Lomond was a lovely area for our annual family holiday(21 of us). The house is very well equipped and has masses of space. The children enjoyed playing on the little cars and in the swimming pool.the whole family walked, climbed Ben Nevis, ran, cycled, sailed, canoed and swam in and around the loch My only practical suggestion is to get the piano tuned, so that although it will always be honky tonk all the notes will sound (I was going to bring up a keyboard, but at the last minute had to change cars and hadn’t space for it) Thanks for a lovely venue for our holiday
Pros: close to nice restaurants, 10 minute walk to Prince street. Nice layout with 2 big bedrooms. One bedroom with two twin beds so great for kids. Really nice bathroom and shower. Excellent and we'll stocked kitchen. Owner very helpful and responsive. Cons: beds ok but a little firm. The bedrooms are in the basement so has steep stairs ( would be difficult if you have mobility issues). Take the secure parking for the extra charge, parking in Edinburgh is a pain.
Property was clean with beds and sheets especially clean and professionally prepared. The AGA was perfect for cooking lots of meals for 14 people. All interaction was very professional and Abid was fantastic and helpful. Overall a perfect venue for our family Christmas. Would rent again without question.
We had a great time for our Family Christmas at Stucktaymore. Lorraine and team were brilliantly helpful and we had a very comfortable stay.
We arrived at the house and we were met by Alex the owner who made us welcome and gave us a tour of the house. Table was already set for Christmas dinner and was stunning. We were a group of 14 celebrating Christmas and we were not disappointed. The house was everything we were hoping for and had an amazing stay. Photographs of the house don't do it justice. We expected it to be big but it was massive with plenty space for everyone. Would definitely recommend booking for a special occasion and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. We loved it that much we have booked it again to celebr...more
Comfortable stay lots of room in this central located mews house. Very quiet location but within walking distance of the city centre.
We had a family group ranging from age 3 to 90. The house was very well appointed and comfortable, re
Good communication during the booking process - house was even better than the pictures on the website. Great handover from the house keeper on arrival - very informative and helpful. Really well equipped house and was spotlessly clean. Ideal for our birthday celebrations - 20 guests.
We stayed at the Drury for my husbands 60th birthday in October 2019 with family and friends. From the outset I was very impressed as was all the people I had invited. The house is amazing, bedrooms stunning, living areas fantastic, hot tub was a hit!! Everything you could ever want and need for a fabulous weekend at one of the most amazing properties. Special mention to Gregor who is just the most amazing House Manager. He is so welcoming, friendly and helped us so much. He is always available if you need him (which we did not) but just knowing that he is there is fantastic.
Perfect place to hold a hen weekend or even a weekend away with family, I would definitely recommend this to others. It really is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. The train line is very close (as we were already advised) but it really wasn't an issue as you just get used too it and it is literally for a matter of seconds. All the rooms were perfectly presented and I will definitely keep in mind for other get togethers
A beautifull house with a good view over Oban. We were staying with two families and frieds (12) in the house and it was a marvellous vacation. Maybe the space in the kitchen good be bigger, because with 12 adults it was a little bit small, butt all the other things as rooms, bathrooms, garden, cleanliness, area etc. Almost everything. We want to thank the organisation. It is really a very good house to have a holiday like you are coming home. Scotland is so beautifull and the people are great. Greetings Jacqueline
This is a fantastic house, with everything you could possibly need! The house is even more impressive in real life Would highly recommend, and we are looking to re-book for next year! :)
This was our 8th time visiting Baille Hill House. The property is perfectly situated for the city centre and close to many other places of interest. The house is warm, clean and well stocked with crocks and pots. Some of the amenities in the house are a little tired and could do with updating. The showers and the upstairs bathroom are not very user friendly. Small improvements such as bigger towels, hooks on bedroom doors, working TVs and maybe a smart TV in main lounge wouldn't come amiss. The house although lovely has seen very few significant improvements in the last few years.
We were an extended family group who stayed at this cottage over the new year period. The house is ideally situated to explore York as it is a short walk to the centre; York is a small city so it’s easy to walk everywhere. All the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and the living room and kitchen big enough. We had an issue with the heating when we arrived but the owners sorted it out immediately. I would definitely recommend this house and would stay again myself. A couple of small things that would improve the stay would be a handbook with simple things in like when to put the rubbish ou...more
Spacious, attractive, well equipped house. Great to have a games room and hot tub (even over Christmas). Beds very comfy. Plenty of hot water. Lynda and Tony were extremely helpful and fast to respond to any queries. The kitchen had everything we needed to cater for 12. The house had 2 Christmas trees which was very much appreciated.
A very large and comfortable house with a pleasant enclosed garden and within easy walking distance of the city centre. Also close to the river walk and fields for exercising your dog.
