Lyndean is a semi-detached Victorian seaside villa situated in a central location in the popular coastal resort town of Shanklin. Within walking distance of the shops, beach and train station, this villa is the perfect location for a family holiday by the sea. The spacious accommodation includes two reception rooms, fitted kitchen and bathroom. Outside is a small decked seating area, enclosed and ideal for a morning coffee or evening glass of something refreshing.

The house was in very close proximity of Shanklin beach roughly a 10 min walk also a 20 min walk to the old town of Shanklin with very good restaurants for evening meals and drinks plus good lunch time light snacks

Excellent overall. No hairdryer or garlic press and a bit short on cutlery so dishwasher used more often than I would like. Recycling tricky because of private waste collection arrangements. House was a bit cool and dark in a sunny mid September fortnight. Patio area attractive and well equipped but only got sun 2 hours a day at lunchtime because of high fence and adjacent buildings. Too cool to use much in the afternoon and evenings even though it was a sunny 20 degrees elsewhere. Very comfortable, good beds and lovely decor.

Lyndean is a great holiday property and we really enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious with all the facilities you need. The bathroom is modern with a great shower and the second bedroom also has an en suite shower. The house is well situated for both the town and seafront. The only downside is there is no parking outside the property and we needed to park a couple of streets away.

We have just had a week at Lyndean, I was slightly sceptical however I needn't have worried.
I won't waffle on here so
first the positives:-
The house is larger than it seems, 2 big spacious bedrooms and one smaller.
Kitchen is well kitted out with everything we needed, all was to hand and easy to use.
Large lounge with 3 large sofas, TV DVD, Broadband etc all good no complaints at all
Main bathroom has possible the best shower I have ever had, big cubical and powerful water supply,
No parking on the main road by the house but didn't struggle to park any time of day.
The house is warm large and comfortable, a real home from home.
easily accessible to all local amenities, spot on.
Now the negatives,
The outside courtyard is small and surrounding buildings shade it .
The power went off, reset it a few times, it was obvious there was an unseen issue so I notified Island homes they resolved without issue.
Traffic noise, we had the front main bedroom, as it was warm we had the windows open, the bus route corners opposite.
it may bother some, take ear plugs if thats the case.
Thats about it, not a lot of negatives is it.
All in all, a great choice and would happily go back.

We chose the house because of its proximity to Shanklin front as we had two young children in the party. The house was spacious and well stocked with all the essentials, very comfortable and clean. Shops were within easy walking distance and although there was no parking outside the property, we found parking on the surrounding roads. Would happily stay here again.

A well appointed family house in Shanklin. On an occasionally noisy road, but well located for access to the beach and the town centre. Lots of board games to keep us occupied on the odd wet day we had!

Very conveniently located for public transport, the beach and the shops.
Furnished in retro style. Nice big rooms.
We did have trouble locating the key safe on arrival, but fortunately we had a torch to help.
Very helpful service from Island Holiday Homes.

Beautifully furnished and well equipped house. We are a large family of 9 and the house was a perfect base for us. Close to shops and the sea. Only downside was that there is no parking space so we parked in the roads nearby. Would recommend and will likely be booking again.

The house had everything (and more) we needed for our stay, it felt like a real home from home.

We stayed here for a week with friends, the house is perfect for two families without feeling cramped.

Lyndean is perfectly located and ideal for young families. We would recommend staying here to anyone.

Thank you very much for our lovely welcome gift, we will be back for another stay

We had a great stay at Lyndean. The house is beautifully done up and has everything you could possibly need including beach equipment for the children and a bottle of wine on arrival for the grown ups. Plenty of space for a family of 5 and a very good location too.

Lyndean is a lovely spacious house within a few minutes walk of the high street shops. It is only a 10 minute walk to the beach, which is mainly sandy. You can't park right outside the house, but we found parking on some adjacent roads without too much of a problem. On the whole the owners have given good thought to the needs of people staying, but for a house that sleeps 8 a second set of door keys would have been really useful. The only other thing was that the duvets are really thick, warmer than the ones we use in the middle of winter! Not great in the summer months. This shouldn't detract from the overall conclusion that Lyndean is a very good well equipped holiday home, and a delight to stay at.

Our second stay at Lyndean. A gorgeous house with every home comfort for the family. We enjoyed trips to the beach; just a 5 minute walk away, the quaint old village is also in easy walking distance.

My husband and I came to visit our daughter and her family who live in Wales. We have for the past four years found a part of The UK that we would like to visit. This year we chose the Isle of Wight There were four adults and three children in the house and it was perfect for all of us. We did not have a car and used the bus system exclusively. It was very convenient and reasonable. We visited Osborne House, carisbrooke castle, The Needles, the dinosaur museum in Sandown and spent part of most days on the beach in Shanklin. It was a wonderful holiday. The beds were very comfortable. This home is cozy, bright and comfortable. The instructions book left in the living room was extremely well organized and complete. The only problem we did have was opening the front door. It seemed very ornery some times and often took several tries before it would open.

We had a great week here. The house was big and clean and nicely furnished and well located only 5 mins walk to shop and beach. No parking but it is available on street or in car parks nearby.

As a family of seven, we chose this perfect house to stay in. It was very clean and fully equipped to suit every need. This spacious house was in the ideal location for walking to the beach and shops and only a car ride away from all the Islands attractions. We would defiantly book again, thank you Lyndene for a very memorable holiday.

5 adults and 1 child had a gorgeous week in the isle of wight ,lyndean was absolutely beautiful ,very well equipt had everything you need to make it a home from home ,house was everything that was advertised ,10 mins walk to a lovely promanade ,5 mins from shops ,1 min to train station,we had 2 cars and got parked on adjacent streets no problem at all ,all in all a ten out of ten would definately stay here again without a doubt

This spacious house was in excellent shape (furnishings, cleanliness, amenities) and well located near the train station. The thoughtful owners provided a useful binder with all of the info we needed for a smooth vacation (appliance info, restaurant recommendations, travel guides). We loved staying here and wouldn't hesitate to return in the future!
