This Charming and traditional cottage is only a short cut across a field to fountain hill beach. The cottage is detached. The owners live beside the cottage. Children love the atmosphere due to a number of farm animals. This cottage is located between Claddaghduff and Clifden town approximately 5 miles away. About a mile in the other direction is Sweeney’s Shop P.O. Pub, and a Catholic church .

Spacious Accommodation!

The central area , kitchen come sitting area was very cosy with a lovely wood burning stove. Carmel welcomed us and gave us fresh eggs from her chickens, and some provisions.
The main rooms bed was not comfortable. The twin bedroom was fine.
It could be improved with addition of proper shower surround rather than a clingy curtain, and new mattress in main bedroom. The addition of a serving bowl or two in kitchen and a few more knives and forks would be good also.

The photo doesn’t show the proximity to main road, which can be tricky to navigate entry and exit.
Overall a sweet house with lovely owner.

House beautiful. Owner really welcoming and helpful. Location good . Only downsides were exiting the driveway onto road was a llittle dangerous as could not see properly . Also no mobile phone coverage . Overall though a fantastic house .

Not enough comfortable seating in the sitting room to accommodate 4 people. An additional chair was provided but another couch or armchair was really needed.
Double bed mattress was falling into the centre of the bed. Good comfortable beds are essential when on holidays.
Beautiful cottage, owner very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Access to the beach was not down through the field as was stated on the website. It was a 10 - 15 min walk.

We had a brilliant holiday in this charming and cozy cottage. Carmel and Tom were so warm, welcoming and helpful, we really felt at home. The location is great, with stunning beaches and Omey Island closeby. Highly recommended!

A lovely little cottage, clean and comfortable and close, walking distance, to lovely sandy beach.

Great cottage, clean and comfortable. Lovely views. Village shop and post office 5 mins drive away. Town of Clifden with supermarkets and lots of pubs and restaurants 10 mins drive away.

Lots of lovely walks. Close to amenities. Very quiet sandy beach only 10 mins walk from cottage. Owners live next door but are very welcoming and friendly.

We had a very enjoyable week staying in Claddaghduff. Thomas and Carmel were very friendly and helpful, yet not imposing and left us to enjoy our holiday.

The location was ideal. Short walk to the beach and pub/shop. Very nice indeed.
