Had a beautiful stay in The Berwick-upon-Tweed country side. Gorgeous location with stunning scenery. Thanks to Carole for letting us stay in her cottage & made us feel so welcome.
Added bonus of it being dog friendly too. Will definitely recommend & will look to stay here again soon.

Enjoyed another fabulous week at Tweed Cottage. West Ord is conveniently located just outside Berwick on a beautiful working farm and you will be warmly welcomed by the owner. The cottage has everything you need for a great family holiday - loads of crockery, glassware a superbly equipped kitchen and comfortable living area. Beds are very comfortable with crisp linen and all towels provided, a real home from home!

Carol is a great host. Lovely house but at this time of year it didn’t really get the sun and we were surprised to need a bit of heating in the evenings. Lovely down by the river about a ten minute walk away and further to the Chain Bridge, Honey Farm Museum (excellent) and Paxton House.

Hard to find a better location, the area is really magnificent, and as for the views of the river tweed - 5star.
We love to relax on holiday and cannot see past or better this.
Cannot wait until next year - booked up already.

Fantastic welcome from Carol when we arrived, we were given great information about local places to visit.
A nice cottage in a great location near the River Tweed.
Good facilities in the cottage and a comfortable stay. Plenty of room for a family of 4. A cosy log burner in the lounge which was great.

My family and I had a wonderful vacation while staying in Tweed cottage. We found the cottage to be very clean and well maintained. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the quiet countryside setting and felt very rested after our stay. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway. We will definitely be back.

A lovely quiet retreat, clean and comfortable with a lovely wood burning stove. It was only a couple of minutes to the river Tweed - great for a long run.

We spent a few days over New Year at this well appointed cottage in lovely surroundings. Convenient for road and rail travel but set in a peaceful location with walks nearby. Our dog enjoyed walks by the River Tweed and beautiful beaches are only a short drive away.
The cottage was well presented and we were given a warm welcome on arrival.
We would love to come back again and would certainly recommend it.

We had a lovely winters stay in Tweed cottage with a couple of friends. Carol was very welcoming and the cottage is spotless and well equipped and the kitchen and equipment is excellent. We had Sunday lunch at the local pub and a Saturday night in Berwick which was great - we like real ale places (The Pilot, The Barrels and The Curfew). A couple of bits of honest feedback; heating in the cottage is mainly storage heaters and as it was winter temperatures inside can vary during the day - though there is a nice log burner too; the mattresses are soft which can be good or bad depending on what you like, but worth knowing if like me you prefer firm to support an ageing back! All in all though a great place to stay.

We had stayed at West Ord before and knew the standards set would meet our expectations. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well fitted, with plenty of the necessary fixtures, fittings and utensils for our party of 5. The owners were welcoming and readily available for advice, help or guidance if required.
We would go again, and hope we might do so.

West Ord is a rural location, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. However, the market town of Berwick is only ten minutes away. There is even a bus service from the end of the road.
Beyond the immediate area are the Borders, the beaches and Edinburgh to the north. Edinburgh is best visited by train. We found the journey to be quick, direct into the city and managed to get some excellent prices with the help of the booking office in Berwick.
The house was very cosy and had everything that we needed.
Most important, we felt welcome and enjoyed meeting our hosts.
It was also an excellent place for our dog, who loved going in the river and looking for rabbits.

We were very comfortable and the cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. A lovely peaceful and quiet place to stay that was also very convenient to supermarkets, the town and the most superb local beaches and scenery. A great location to explore both Northumberland and East Lothian. With two young boys (4 and 18 months) the cottage was ideal. There were no stairs to worry about.

We have been going here for the past three decades and it truly gets better every visit. The cottages are fantastic with the log burner stealing the show and along with the Lang families hospitality a truly wonderful experience indeed. The fishing is a extra bonus too. Cannot wait to go back next year.

We have stayed at these cottages before and have always enjoyed our visit. The grandchildren always ask to come back here. It is very relaxing as well as plenty of places to visit nearby. This year we had the best weather ever.

We have been using West Ord holiday cottages for a number of years. This was the first time that we had stayed in Tweed Cottage. We found it to be of excellent quality, immaculately clean and very well presented in its decor, furniture was very good quality and extremely comfortable as were the beds.

I would highly recommend the West Ord Holiday Cottages to everybody.

The cottage is in a beautiful setting , it is well equipped and comfortable. The owner, Carol , is lovely and very welcoming. The two young boys with us loved going to see the sheep and lambs in the field. My son cried when we left as he wanted to stay!

We had a super time at Tweed Cottage, which is very comfortable with everything you need and a very helpful host, Carol. We loved the log burning stove, which was very cosy and relaxing. Great location for walks by the Tweed, train to Edinburgh and Newcastle, exploring the East coast. :))

Wonderful location, we took three cottages as we had a large family group. Tweed Cottage with teh biggest kitchen became the hub. Everyone enjoyed the stay and would definitely return.

We had a lovely stay at the West Ord Cottages. The cottage was clean and tidy. The owners were lovely, charming and nothing was too much trouble, especially when the fire alarm battery needed replacing. In the cottage there are leaflets for places to visit both locally and slightly further afield. We had horrible weather the week we stayed and we couldn't walk to the river which is just up the road from the cottages. We have decided to return in the future and hope the weather is better.

The cottage is situated in a quiet rural area. Very friendly landlady who made us feel welcome. Kitchen well equipped and clean. Bathroom scrupulously clean. Beautifully made beds, very comfortable with soft duvets and good pillows. Our children (9 and 10) liked it too. Plenty occasions for day trips to Northumberland National Park and Heritage Coast, beaches, castles and houses. Within 1h15 mins from Edinburgh (car) and Newcastle ferry.

Having stayed for 16 years at various of the West Ord Cottages it is clear that we are more than satisfied with the accommodation.
Our group, up to 10 people use West Ord as the hub for our golfing week in Northumberland/Scottish Borders.

Cottage is extremely well kept adding to the holiday experience. The Lang family ensure you have a great stay too.
The fishing is excellent.
The local attractions are first class too.
