With breathtaking sea views over Deal beach and the sea beyond, The Boatman's Reading Rooms is a charming and spacious coastal escape. The house is set over three floors with a stylish first floor open plan sitting room, kitchen and dining room with a balcony for enjoying morning coffee or early evening cocktails. It also benefits from private parking for two cars and an electric car charging point. Sleeping 10 guests in 4 stylish bedrooms and with a bathroom on each floor, the house offers comfortable sleeping accommodation to multigenerational families or groups of friends looking for a seaside getaway. Three of the bedrooms have sea views and pets are very welcome too. There is a carnival and fun fair from 16th - 31st July across the road on Walmer Green, which can be very noisy at times.

Just had a week at the Boatman's Reading Rooms. The house wonderfully combines its history alongside a clean and modern interior. It's location is perfect, offering a short 10 minute walk into Deal centre with all its bars and restaurants. The house has everything you need and more for a relaxing stay. Luxury by the sea. Easily accomodated eight adults. Would highly recommend.

Very nicely furnished accommodation in an ideal location overlooking the sea. Short walk into Deal where there are plenty of quaint shops, places to eat and a market at the weekend. The view out to sea makes up for any noise from the road - it is great to just sit and look out of the window at the sea and any activity going on at the Life boat station opposite or to watch the band playing in the bandstand on the green. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Boatman’s Reading Rooms and could happily have stayed longer!

We had a wonderful week staying at the Boatman‘s reading rooms. A period property with beautiful views of the seafront and the ever changing skies. Really lovely house with wonderful touches inside the property. I think it’s a real skill to be able to get form and function right. To be able to decorate to maintain a stylish decor, with nods to the history of the reading rooms, together the practicalities of needing soft furnishings that need to wear well - they’ve that’s cracked it.

Ein sehr hübsch eingerichtetes Haus mit vier (!) gemütlichen Schlafzimmern und einer Terrasse für sonnige Lesestunden und den einen oder anderen Aperitif auf der Terrasse. Schöne Duschbadezimmer.
Vor allem aber: Meerblick!!! We loved it!

We were a party of 3 elderly siblings and partners - 5 in all. We stayed for a week. We loved the views of the seafront and the fact that as a centre Deal is a great place for visits elsewhere. Other family members visited on two days and there was capacity to entertain them with plenty of seating and utensils. The kitchen was very well equipped. The bedrooms were comfortable and three had sea views.. One of our reasons for choosing Boatman's were the 2 dedicated parking places. The only slight problem was that the stairs were quite narrow and steep and not all of us were as spritely as of yore!
Added bonuses: the lifeboat was called out and we went to the beach to see it launched, and on Sunday there was a concert at the bandstand.

We stayed here for a week. Great views and close to the town. Spacious and well equipped property. Very stylish. Great bathrooms and the beds and bedding were beautiful. Highly recommend.

Loved this property. Very well equipped from the utility room to car parking for two cars. Added bonus being the electric car charging point. The outside space had very comfortable seating. Looking forward to returning to this lovely house.

The house was perfect for our needs - very comfortable, plenty of room, lovely light rooms and a fab sunny terrace. Easy to walk into Deal, especially along the coastal path, beautiful views from three bedrooms and the sitting room. The sun trap terrace was roomy and used a lot. Lovely coffee spots close by, good anD interesting High Street, very good restaurants. We would stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at The Boatman’s Reading Rooms in Walmer - what a beautiful house! The owners have clearly gone to a lot of effort - the house has everything you will need and more and the beds were extremely comfortable. We will really miss waking up to those sea views!!

A special thank you to Keepers Cottages who went above and beyond to make our stay so special. Camilla recommended the property to us and was so happy to answer any questions we had. The staff at Keepers were so friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend a stay at The Boatman’s Reading Rooms and will definitely be back to stay with Keepers Cottages again.

We absolutely loved our few days away at the Boatman’s reading rooms. Great location, right by the sea and lovely restaurant options. Large, spacious, airy with everything you need. Including a gorgeous balcony. We will definitely be coming back as we love deal and this place was a perfect base to explore the coastline. Thank you to the incredible team at keepers cottages who were just amazing.
