Wowwwww - One of the best cottage I’ve been in my life. It’s all brand new and the location is amazingggggggg!! I would highly recommend it to everybody really and If I’ll be in Lewes again, it will definitely my first choice. Thank you much for making my holiday a dream. Beautiful beautiful beautiful Cottage ❤️
My family of four had a wonderful stay in 'South Downs Barn' in the village of Houghton, nestled at the bottom of the South Downs. Great location for walks onto the Downs and to nearby Amberley and Arundel. Enjoyed the local pubs, The George & Dragon and The Sportsman (for take-away burgers) and delicious fresh produce from Charlie's Farm Shop outside Bury. The accommodation itself was really spacious with superb views. We enjoyed watching the birds, bunnies and Mr and Mrs Pheasant! The bedrooms were luxurious with top spec bathroom facilities - I particularly enjoyed my bath after getting dre...more
It is a beautiful, quiet location with a variety of walks from the house. The Oast House has been sensitively renovated and refurbished to a high standard with care and love. The house is extremely comfortable with everything you need added with loving attention to detail. Susanne left us a lovely hamper to greet us with and throughout the week supplied us with delicious honey from her bees as well as helping us by lending us an electric pump to inflate a paddling pool plus extra toys for our granddaughters to play with. Her generosity added to the pleasure of our stay. I highly recommend a...more
A genuinely lovely holiday cottage, very comfortable, well equipped and of good quality. We enjoyed our stay here tremendously and we’re grateful of being able to take our dogs too. We are highly likely to return. Easy and pleasant communications with Amberley and the property owner who was lovely. Although the property has no parking there is plenty of street parking and short term car parks available. We didn’t find this an issue even when unloading and loading the car. There is some noise from the road with it being the direct road through the village, only really noticeable in ...more
A beautiful rural retreat in a converted barn In the heart of the Sussex countryside. Get away from the rush and bustle of life in this charming cottage which has been converted to the highest standard.
We cannot recommend this place enough. Brilliant accomodation, thoughtful touches & friendly owner .
The apartment was lovely, clean, very comfortable, well-equipped, and in a great location. We had a fun week exploring Rye and environs. We loved the soap ! And the umbrella's were used daily in one of the wettest May's on record.
A clean and comfortable apartment in an excellent location in the town centre and near historic attractions.
We had a wonderful stay at Churchfield Stables. Cottage is beautiful, in a lovely peaceful location, equipped and decorated to a very high standard. James and Louise were the perfect hosts.
Mill Barn provides stunning holiday accommodation. Tastefully converted from an old barn, the property maintains much of its original beauty whilst being artfully adapted to offer every modern convenience. On our arrival we were delighted to find the cottage festooned with vases of flowers from the beautiful garden. There was a generous welcome basket as well. The interior was immaculately cleaned and we felt very much at home with the comfortable furnishings. There was nothing that we could suggest to improve upon the way that the property has been set up. It was a delight to sit outside in...more
Jubilee House offered very comfortable accommodation, in a quiet location but just a short walking distance from the town centre with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. Whilst still under covid restrictions during our stay, we still found plenty of things to do, within a short distance. Having the garden to sit in was a real boon and so was the very well equipped house, including the kitchen. Kate was very helpful and friendly.
Highly recommended. Comfortable and quiet. Lovely area. Only minor issue - we are not used to touch sensitive controls on an electric cooker, which we found not to be that touch sensitive.
Two families - we arrived in two vehicles - although the streets are narrow with local traffic parked up we had no problem finding a nearby parking place. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was lovely to be able to access the many amenities within the town on foot as they were so close.
Neat and tidy little cottage, well equipped. Very clean on entry. Owner next door to deal with any queries or problems. Road outside could be busy at times and local parking made entry/exit awkward at times. Car necessary. Pleasant walks nearby. Close to scenic country and seascapes. Most enjoyable stay.
Fabulous pool with plenty of pool furniture, and stunning views of the Sussex countryside. Outdoor sitting area perfectly placed to soak in the view or gather round the fire pit. A great location - we could walk into the village in 5 minutes, where we found a lovely pub, tea shop, card shop and two butchers. Comfy beds, excellent en-suites and a well stocked kitchen. Some lovely extras provided on arrival - thank you for the wine and Maltesers! Lots of board games and a wonderful chilling room with a huge TV for the Euro Football! Tessa was extremely helpful and fast to respond with any small ...more
Beautiful location and property. 20 minute walk through peaceful countryside to reach the Griffin pub..really good pint of Sussex ale. The owners were very welcoming and helpful and gave us some good pointers. We went to Burling Gap on their recommendation and as a family who aren’t keen on crowds, really enjoyed this part of the coast. My family and i found this property very relaxing to stay in and would definitely stay again.
The reading rooms combined history with comfort & modern facilities. The rooms are an excellent size. Wisborough Green is a lovely village with all you need on your doorstop (church, pub, shop, tea rooms). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay after being made most welcome by the owners. In our opinion the cottage had all the facilities required for a good holiday. It was in excellent condition and extremely clean. The bed had a good quality mattress and was really comfortable, white bedding & towels were immaculate and were well laundered.
We’ve been here a few times now and always see something amazing whilst on our stay ….we thoroughly recommend this beautiful place
We spent a very comfortable Christmas and New Year at Northash in between house moves. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is spacious and tastefully furnished. The location offers plenty of opportunities for local walks whilst being in easy reach of the National Park and the coast.
The accommodation was very clean and all covid precautions had been taken making us feel safe. Charlotte had provided us with some treats which was a nice surprise and was a super host. This is our second visit and we would very much like to come again. The location is fantastic with a the grounds of Petworth House only across the road for a nice stroll into Petworth. There is a very pleasant pub a 15 minute walk away which do very nice meals some unusual.
The Pump House Lodge at Turner's Hill is a fabulous place to stay for your holiday. Very clean, cake waiting for us on arrival with lots of information on how everything works, local attractions etc. Good WiFi, plenty of parking space and a garage available for bike storage if required. The house is located in a lovely village with a couple of pubs and an Indian restaurant. It's a great central location close to numerous National Trust sites along with other attractions. Wakehurst, Tilgate Nature Centre and Groombridge (with an awesome Bird of Prey show) are three of my particular highlig...more
Small annexe but space very well used. Proprietors very obliging. Equipment was excellent . We had a really good stay here and would recommend it. We enjoyed not having to use the car- but we do like walking.
We enjoyed our week at Owl Cottage. This is a small, very comfortable cottage in the gorgeous village of Amberley. It is a huge advantage that the village has a well stocked shop with a good selection of food and drink. The cottage is very well appointed and immaculately presented. Outside the kitchen there is a small sunny courtyard. The front garden has a huge bench which is more comfortable than it looks, and a pond surrounded by abundant colourful planting in the borders. Inside: the king-size bed is comfy in our opinion, the walk in shower is convenient and plenty of hot water did...more
A lovely house in a beautiful location. The house was warm and comfortable. It was well equipped. The owners are delightful hosts, helpful and friendly but not at all intrusive.
Gorgeous little lodge nestled in wonderful countryside. The hosts, Glen and Sandra, are incredibly generous and helpful and there is so much to see in the area. Glorious pub just 5 minutes walk away. A wonderful choice for 2 people to stay - highly recommended.
Enjoyed a great week at this well appointed cottage. Tastefully decorated. Just so pleasant to have a cottage that is equipped with quality linen and fittings. Quiet but central location. Great views. Minor quibble, and it is individual taste, we found the duvet far too heavy for this time of year (summer) a lighter spare one would have been helpful for us, but as I say a minor item.
we enjoied every minute of our stay. had nice walks in the woods next to the potting shed. thank you diana and nigel for makeing our stay so perfect.
The two of us spent a most comfortable 7 nights at The Old Village Shop. It had absolutely everything that we needed, and more: Plenty of space, comfortable, excellent shower, fully-equipped kitchen, strong WiFi, veranda, garden, covered area for bikes, all the essentials. The owners were very welcoming and available if we wanted anything. We found the location to be excellent: quiet, right opposite the forest heathland (often with ponies, donkeys and cattle grazing close by), within easy reach of Lymington by bike and a great base to explore the New Forest on foot or by bike. We often walk...more
Great place to stay right in the centre of Rye with everything in walking distance. So comfortable too!
We were very pleased and happy we chose to stay at Silvergrove Cottage. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable, and ideally situated for us visiting the area for the first time. It was also lovely to have our own patio area to sit in. Ann and Paul the owners were very friendly and helpful. We would stay again and highly recommend the accommodation.
Cosy & very comfortable accommodation with all modern facilities for a short break - or in our case - an extended & enjoyable stay at The Old Workshop. Ideal location for countryside walks in the surrounding area or further afield on the South Downs Way/Coast. Our hosts, Louise & James were very hospitable and helpful with nice touches such as the welcome food pack, maps & guide books etc which were much appreciated.
Great location, short walk into the centre of Chichester but in a residential street, semi detached house with friendly, quiet neighbours. House is nicely laid out, with comfortable beds/sofas and a homely feel. Garden at back which is nice for relaxing in. House has SMART TV, internet, washing machine, dishwasher...everything that you need [including an airer for hanging washing on]. We didn't need the parking at the back of the house but it's a big plus to have that in Chichester. Will return for another stay!
Lovely weeks break at Harbourside. Fantastic location to explore. The flat was superb. Definitely recommend
We loved the house and thought it worked perfectly for small children. We were all very happy with our stay and would definitely book again. Many thanks
The cottage was truly exceptional. It was immaculate in every respect ( as if brand newly built) equipped to the very highest standard homely and comfortable and in an idyllic rural and tranquil location.
Spacious, comfortable and high-quality accommodation. Good location for Arundel, Petworth, South Downs etc. Lovely views from the decking area. Only criticism/suggestion is that the view could be improved if some trees/bushes were cut back to open up the view to the north. Overall though, highly recommended.
Great cottage, with an enormous amount of space both inside and outside. Everything you could have wished for. Pretty garden to lounge in and lots of nature to see close by including horses and donkeys. Enormous main bedroom and so much space in kitchen and lounge. Large Smart televisions to keep teenagers happy. Very well kept and immaculately clean. Friendly, helpful hosts. Despite the distance travelled, would happily consider staying again. Handy for Arundel and Chichester. Close to main road to get to Brighton and Portsmouth. Thoroughly enjoyed!
The Cow Hide is in an excellent location overlooking fields where cows graze and hawks soar. Arundel castle is visible on the horizon. The owner provides a warm welcome and the cottage is full of her personal touches. A delicious varied breakfast is provided. A lovely base for exploring the area.
Good accommodation in a quiet location. Good quality bedding and comfortable bed. Nicely and comfortably furnished lounge. Pleasant garden area with table and chairs for outside dining. Owner very pleasant and welcoming.
The ultimate place for your stay in Arundel. Great riverside location and only two minutes walk to town centre and all local amenities and attractions. The house is spacious, extremely well equipped and feels like a “beloved home” rather than just a “holiday let”. Highly recommended.
We very much enjoyed our stay in this well-appointed holiday house. It's in an excellent location just 5 minutes walk from the sea. We really appreciated the welcome pack on arrival and all the useful equipment that was provided in the kitchen and for the garden & barbecue. The garden is a real bonus - beautifully kept with a large lawn and a judicious selection of shrubs. Thank you.
Ideal location for a short term rental, a 5-minute walk to Chichester town centre but in a quiet street. Lovely garden to relax in, very well-equipped kitchen for whipping up a meal, cosy den for watching TV, stylish bathroom with large bathtub and walk-in shower. Owner very friendly and communicative, checking in to make sure all is OK, and if anything is needed. Lockbox check-in, nice and easy. Great base to explore Chichester, the harbour, the Witterings, and the South Downs. Overall, a 5* experience from dealing with the rental manager initially, through to emails with the owner, and the s...more
We had the most wonderful week staying in the pool house. Carole and Robert were fantastic hosts and made sure we was well looked after. The pool and the house was a lovely size and very clean. We village was beautiful and had everything you can wish for. Petworth house and the grounds is a must and we enjoyed all the local pubs. We would definitely stay here again.
We loved almost everything about our Christmas stay at this beautiful lodge. It was the cleanest we think we have ever stayed in, there are some beautiful touches that make you feel very comfortable and we would highly recommend. (These two very small things should be known to future bookers - consider carefully if you need reliable WiFi (we had to reboot the router regularly and couldn’t get WiFi downstairs in the bedrooms) and be aware that the owner is overlooking you (mainly in the main bedroom and the lounge) as the property is attached to the main house through quite a thin connecting do...more
We spent a lovely week using the studio as a base for walks on the Soutb Downs. Also visited Amberley working museum. I lovely week - very friendly and helpful hosts
Excellent stay, very welcoming owners, good location to National Trust Gardens & beautiful Sussex countryside as well as good road links to coast & airport.
Dairy Byre is a very clean, comfortable and cosy cottage in a quiet courtyard setting. The cottage is very well appointed and in a great location for exploring. You can walk from the door on numerous local footpaths, through vineyards and lovely countryside. Would recommend.
A lovely, comfortable and well equipped accommodation in a good location for exploring the South Downs. Jenny is a very hospitable and helpful host.
Very well equipped kitchen. Spacious and comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. Large lawned garden with plenty of space for children to play. Felt private and secure. Suitable for one or two families as one bedroom and bathrooms suite is completely separate to the others. So much to see and do in the vicinity. We could not have asked for more. Best of British!
Great house in great location. short walk to beach and in walking distance of shops etc in Rustington so very convenient. Nice layout and well presented with comfy furnishings and beds. The Kitchen with the open view through to the dining room and lounge works well and handy for keeping an eye on the kids. The neighbours were also very friendly. There is no washing machine but we were only away for a week so that didn't cause a problem. It was very hot during our stay and it took some management to keep the 2 west facing bedrooms cool for children's bedtime as the sun beats down on ...more
We had the most fantastic week at Hardings Barn. The accommodation is lovely in itself and also has everything you could possibly need. The hosts have created a relaxed friendly environment and we immediately felt at home. They very kindly let us use their heated pool which was an extra treat that our children loved. The location is good for the Witterings beaches and there are some very nice restaurants a short drive away. I would definitely recommend staying there.
We stayed for 11 nights in Library Cottage. It was very comfortable, with lovely garden in peaceful setting. Hosts Liz and Chris were really lovely, friendly and helpful. Would definately recommend.
A well-appointed cottage in a wonderful location. Sitting out on the terrace a joy, looking out on hills and fields; the very short walk into town no less so, with first class local shops - not least the bountiful deli - and the amazing Petworth art collection and estate park on doorstep. The area also was rich in variety and interest, with Winchester, Chichester and Arundel all within comfortable reach, and numerous wonderful walks to choose from.
Very nice place supplied with everything you need and in a great location to explore the area, beautiful beaches and lovely walks with the dog ,had a great week
This converted garage has everything two people may ask for: it is quiet, spacious and sparkling clean. The owners are delightfully friendly and helpful. It has a kitchenette with two bar stools - while we did not use it, it is equipped for i.e. breakfast or simple cooking. Good bed, though not too large. The bathroom is somewhat on the small side and there is not much space for your cosmetics, no shelves apart from the mirror's. Decent towels. However, the shower is large. No bathtub. WIFI is stable and fast enough. There is a sofa and a large enough TV, but we did not use these.
Loved the accommodation and location. Would recommend and definitely come back again and visit. Thank you
We recently spent three nights at Mallards having never been to the area before. We received a warm welcome from the owner and a kind invitation to enjoy the large garden, there was also a delightful patio just outside the door of Mallards where we ate breakfast in the sunshine each morning. We found everything within the bungalow to be very clean, there are good facilities to cook should you wish to do so. The bed was slightly firm for us hence a lower score for comfort but we appreciate that this is purely a matter of personal preference. The area is beautiful and we encountered wonderful sc...more
We had a lovely week, the cottage was lovely, the kitchen well fitted and the welcome pack very well received. Hilary was very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday
Very centrally located property - very handy for shops, cafes, restaurants which was a real plus. Especially the ability to pop out to buy freshly baked bread and coffees for breakfast each day. On the other hand, not so good if you are expecting to sleep beyond 6.30/7.00 am as the dustbin men come early morning/the beer barrels for the pub are delivered, as well as the glass pub bottles are collected early. We are early risers, so whilst very noisy it was “ok” for us, although our daughters were not so impressed. Some of us therefore wore earplugs to sleep. It was also unfortunate at the time...more
On arriving I was shocked, I knew the house would be beautiful but it was far beyond my expectations! We had fabulous weather so spent alot of time in the charming pool. The gardens are gorgeous with speaking hills for miles and the house interia is full of amazing art. The perfect house for a large group with lovely kitchen and lots of compfy nooks to relax in. Could not have enjoyed our stay more, would love to come back! X
We were a party of 8 - 4 adults and 4 children so had plenty of room. The house has real character with the themed rooms and furniture and has amazing views. Close proximity to a small town, as well as being within half an hour drive of bognor, littlehampton and worthing. Michelle was great in helping and answering all our queries. We had an absolutely wonderful stay here and would return in a heartbeat.
We enjoyed our stay at Lambles. The accommodation was very clean and it was wonderful to have such a nice spacious kitchen with plenty of storage, well equipped and a large fridge freezer. There were plenty of cupboards and wardrobes to store our items. The garden is very beautiful too, enjoyed sitting outside for meals and meeting Benji. The location is good, a nice walk into Seaford and to the beach, walked to the Seven Sisters from the house. Convenient location for visiting local beauty spots and sightseeing.
We would recommend Ashby Cottage as a wonderful holiday home. It is well appointed with marvellous home comforts. The garden is a charming place to sit and enjoy. The town is full of lovely shops and restaurants. The lido for early swims was a great way of starting our days. The area is full of interesting places to visit and if you are lucky with the weather the beaches are near. In short I cannot recommend this cottage too highly. The only tricky part was sometimes parking and that traffic could come off the near by roundabout quickly.
We had a very comfortable week in Brooke's Cottage Ideally located to be able to visit parts of Sussex for walks or sightseeing The cottage is very well equipped and spotlessly clean The parking is off road and plenty of space The 2 gardens gave us the choice of sitting in the shade or not, we had breakfast al fresco every day. I would certainly recommend this as a place to stay
Our stay at the Pig Barn in October was a delightful and tranquil break. Comfortable, very clean and warm, the cottage is tastefully decorated with a comfy, king-size bed, a bathroom with plenty of hot water and a cosy kitchen living room for two. The idyllic setting of West Dean means that it is very quiet, with excellent walks straight from the cottage and a welcoming host who led us on an informed historical tour of the old manor grounds. If you are seeking silence, rural seclusion and comfort you will love the Pig Barn. It is perfectly situated for walks on the stunning Sussex coast, in Fr...more
A really lovely holiday cottage situated in an ideal location for exploring the South Downs and south coast. The owners were friendly and available at all times if required. The cottage itself was very well presented and made for a very comfortable stay. Would definitely stay there again.
We have already booked for another break. The setting for the Lake House is beautiful, the landscaped and well kept gardens, the lake and the swimming pool area are all tasteful and tranqui. The apartment is also tastefully decorated and furnished with comfortable stylish furniture. It is well equipped, spotlessly clean with everything you need for everyday living. The Juliette balcony is fantastic, you can sit and watch the black swans on the lake and listen to all the birds without any real sound of any other civilisation. It was an oasis in this hectic world.
Beautiful cottage in a little hamlet in deepest Sussex. Well appointed with a lovely open plan kitchen leading to a private garden. Had a nice meal at the local pub and plenty of walks and NT places in the area.
Very good stay. The apartment was ideal and had everything we needed. Maybe a shower screen in the bath would be a welcome addition.
We stayed 7 nights and absolutely loved this cottage! It's well-sized, well-equipped and the hosts who live next door are very friendly and helpful. There are several excellent walks from this cottage, going on public pathways which are well signposted. The location is peaceful, the fields surrounding the area are full of grazing sheep and horses, you can reach the Arlington Reservoir by foot, as well as the Long Man of Wilmington. For the trips to the beach there's a range of options - Seven Sisters Cliffs, Seaford beach, Birling Gap are all within a short drive. We loved our stay and would h...more
Nice property well situated for Arundel and Slindon. Beautiful grounds and very relaxing although a bit of traffic noise.
Lots of character in this home, great history to the cottage. We had a lovely stay whilst between moving house, only drawback for us was the fridge is very small (which isn’t ideal during a lockdown when you’re limiting trips to the shops!) and the Wi-fi wasn’t strong enough for two laptops to be working from home simultaneously but if you’re looking for a seaside getaway to a quiet area of Worthing with local shops and short walk to the beach then it is great!
Such a beautiful, perfect away-from-it-all cottage. Comfortable, very well equipped and presented, and very clean. Anne was a great host, on hand if needed, but left us to enjoy the accommodation and the area. Everything needed was in place. Really enjoyed all the wildlife and the myriad of footpaths right outside the door!
Vane Cottage is a cosy, comfortable cottage adjacent to the owners house and having access to their extensive gardens. The owners were friendly and knowledgable about the local area. It is within a 15 minute walk by public footpath to the local pub which served excellent food.
We really enjoyed our stay at Kingfisher cottage and had everything we needed. It's a very peaceful spot but in walking distance of the shops etc in Lindfield. We saw the kingfisher on the lake most days and the binoculars provided were much used. The bed is very comfy, I want one!
Really enjoyed our stay couldn’t fault the thoughtful details and quality of everything provided. The position was perfect for us, you are able to walk to several pubs, shops and tea rooms within the village. The village itself was really nice some lovely old cottages and walks around the area. We were lucky with the weather and sat outside for breakfast in the pretty private garden at Lychgate. Although it is attached to the owners home you have plenty of privacy with your own patio area table and chairs and comfortable garden loungers. The owners are really friendly and try to think of everyt...more
This was an ideal property for two people wanting to stay in typical Sussex countryside. Although access was rather awkward, there was adequate parking and the views from the farm were beautiful. The cottage itself was well equipped and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The courtyard where the three hire properties are is well maintained with pretty gardens and ample outdoor seating. The walk to the nearest pub in West Chiltington was longer and more complicated than the description on the Amberley website which was a bit disappointing. The cottage was very clean , and every prec...more
The cottage is as it was presented on the web-site. It was well placed in the town, convenient for shops, restaurants and Rye's well-priced and large car park.. Everyrhing required was provided and the kitchen was equipped to a high standard. If there was a disappointment, it was the bric-a-brac of Thursday's market.
A very suitable property in a good location and attentive hosts. Would suit a variety of needs eg elderly couple or young family
Both my partner and I thought that the apartment was wonderful. We both enjoyed staying there. It is very well laid out.
We had a very comfortable stay at Poets Barn (though worth noting that it says Poets Cottage on the outside). Excellent directions for getting there, and very welcoming hosts in Alex and Simon. My elderly mother welcomed having a ground floor room and wet room for her use, and we enjoyed the views upstairs. The location is great for walkers, with many good paths locally so you can walk from the front door.
The peace, the view, the trampoline which absorbed a lot of the grandchildren's energy! We were very lucky with the weather but even if it had been otherwise we would have had a wonderful holiday. I expect we shall return.
Very pleasant stay in a lovely location. Property was very clean and well equipped. The rooms are large and spacious so plenty of space. There is only one bathroom although there is a downstairs toilet with a sink. This could be an issue for larger groups. House itself is rather tired and in need of some loving care. However nothing spoilt our stay.
Our 4th visit to Quails cottage, hopefully not our last. It’s location is quiet & tucked away but convenient for visiting many of Sussex’s attractions. The cottage is comfortable & well equipped, lovely to return to after a day’s sightseeing. Would definitely recommend.
We enjoyed a lovely week at Paines Oast. The cottage was extremely clean, comfortable and very well heated with plenty of hot water. A lot of detail has gone into servicing the cottage and even a mending kit.notepaper and pens etc. Were provided. The cottage is near an excellent village shop and pub with very good food and is also on a bus route providing an hourly bus service to Uckfield and Eastbourne. As we were without a car these facilities were very useful. We did feel though that the cottage is better suited to two persons rather than four. A toaster would be a help as it would avoid ...more
The hosts only welcomed us because they were on the driveway when we pulled up. We were disturbed quite a lot because someone was directly above our bedroom and you could hear them every evening and morning, even though we were asked not to make a noise after 10pm. The gardener was on site early in the morning. The outdoor space was although private too small and the outside furniture was in a poor state. The only ventilation in the bedroom was to leave the patio door open. The flat was nicely fitted, with nice things provided, coffee machine, milk frother, even ground coffee. However some...more
This house was beautiful with amazing patio and huge gardens. The pictures do not do it justice. The decor was lovely, lots of ornaments and pictures. All furniture was very comfortable. Kitchen very well appointed with everything you needed. Four lovely bedrooms and a sofa bed in the snug for one adult if needed. Three great bathrooms but note the master suite has a completely open toilet, shower and double sink, so if you're not a couple beware! The whole place was fabulous and we loved it. The owner Rob was brilliant and very helpful. Our only complaint was it just needs a bit of a tho...more
A magnificent Regency house full of beautiful period furnishings and artefacts, but also very comfortable and well equipped. We were a group of ladies 'of a certain age' and had a wonderful time. Good position for the castle and town, and lots of interesting places to visit nearby. Parking outside the house was not possible but we always found somewhere close by
Wonderful cottage that sleeps 10 comfortably with lots of space inside and out for a family occasion.
Excellent and comfortable cottage, everything you need for a quiet holiday. Good location with easy access to main routes for Portsmouth, South Downs and New Forest. Great walks and countryside from the doorstep. Welcoming owners with great local knowledge and history and the animals kept us amused everyday. Thoroughly recommend booking this lovely cottage.
My husband and I were very happy with our stay at Calceto. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and recommended some good local restaurants and pubs. The apartment was very comfortable, clean, quiet and well-equipped. It is also conveniently located, a short walk from Arundel station and just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Arundel, which made it easy for us to explore the town. There are also some nice walks close by along the River Arun.
This is our second visit to Fig Tree Cottage and we loved it just as much. The cottage is quirky but characterful and has everything that you need for a holiday visit. The garden is a little suntrap and totally private. You are a two minute walk from two great pubs, an Indian restaurant and another restaurant. You can walk out of the door to the Cissbury Ring and the Chanctonbury Ring and if you like mountain biking you are straight out onto miles of trails. We had a slight problem on arrival and James was around within 15 minutes to fix it, great service as its reassuring to know things ar...more
We had a lovely stay in the centre of Arundel with views out over the town and the Cathedral. Jasmine cottage was very well equipped and Arundel has some nice restaurants. The cottage is well positioned for trips to the coast, Chichester, Goodwood, Brighton and of course the Castle. There is also a lovely nature reserve just outside of the town.
We had a wonderful stay at the Mouse house - it was very clean and comfortable with a welcoming atmosphere. We were glad of the peace and tranquility during our stay - that’s what we came for and we got exactly that. Lots to do in the area - we visited the RSPB nature reserve and Petworth house where we walked alongside the deer! Val is a lovely host and makes you feel very welcome - we will definitely book in for a long weekend again.
Peaceful location with all amenities and a lovely garden. Pip and Dave are helpful, friendly hosts. The Brambles is convenient for Chichester,Arundel,Petworth and seaside resorts.
Being able to park at the property was a huge bonus as Rye gets very busy. The location was perfect and very quiet. Having a TV in every room was a real treat and we really enjoyed our stay at Little Willow.
Will was very helpful over the phone and managed to deal with a minor change to the number of nights very effectively. The property, converted a few years ago, was of a very high specification and well equipped. The fact that it has two double bedrooms each with their own en-suite was perfect for us. It is very spacious inside and we also made use of the terrace and enjoyed the views. We hope to return at some point in the future.
Despite the Covid restrictions we were able to enjoy our stay; the only downside was intermittent wifi connection which would frustrate anyone who needed to maintain reliable business meeting contact whilst on vacation.
Excellent accommodation well furnished, good location, comfortable and secure. Really caring and attentive host.
No cupboard for putting food Towels for showering too small Overall a nice modern equipped cottage in a nice location We would definitely visit again
We enjoyed our stay at Tarante. It is a comfortable and spacious flat with easy parking. Well placed for enjoying Arundel, and all the town offers. The owner was very helpful and considerate. We make regular family visits to this part is sussex and will be very happy to return to Tarante again.
Wonderful old cottage which is full of character and is great to relax in. Lots of low ceilings but we soon got used to those. Very clean and comfortable. The garden was a wonderful place to relax and the owners Kate and Leo were lovely and couldn't do enough for us.
Walnut tree cottage is a comfortable holiday home in a peaceful location. Was our second visit and hopefully not the last.
We've just had a few days at Priors Barn which on the whole was fine , unfortunately we felt the rear of the property was a little neglected & could have done with a new bench seat & some colourful pots to brighten it up . Some seating at the front of the property would have been lovely as it appears to get most of the sun . The inside of the property is lovely & very well equipped . The kitchen worktop area could do with a change around as having the kettle right next to the cooker hob was a little difficult as room was tight . We were disappointed to find that there was no sugar , tea or cof...more
We had a comfortable 8 day stay in the studio. We used the maps supplied to explore the local area including Chichester Marina and Harbour.
We had a very nice stay at Groom's cottage. It was convenient for shops and the town of Arundel. We found the country walks nearby very invigorating especially during the pandemic. The owner was very friendly and obliging to the needs of her guests. I would highly recommend it.
A beautiful 2 bed cottage (former stables). So clean and tidy and lovely size rooms. Lots of amazing wildlife to watch as well. The owners were very welcoming. We would fully recommend staying at The Cottage.
Enjoyable stay, a lovely swimming pool and garden in a location with lots to do. We throughly enjoyed our stay and getting away. We'd definitely recommend despite the rather hit and miss weather we had. One thing we did notice however was that throughout the week a number of people came for various reasons (collecting laundry, gardening and swimming pool maintenance) and although they were very polite it would have been better if these could have been on the same day or over two days so that there weren't lots of people coming throughout the week.
Ideal location for the town just a short walk. Very comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Host was very informative and we enjoyed the welcome gifts.
A very eagerly awaited post lockdown holiday - smugglers keep did not disappoint in any way. The owner made us feel very welcome and provided a safe and comfortable environment. Very clean, cosy and well equipped - everything we needed. The weather co-operated and we enjoyed al fresco breakfasts each morning, ever changing distant sea views and a family of rabbits in the adjacent field. Will definitely stay again and recommend it whole heartedly. Thank you for the milk and coffee sachets on arrival.
We just loved our stay here. There's a view of the beach huts and the sea from most rooms in the house. We particularly liked sitting on the bedroom balcony for a nightcap or morning cuppa. The weather was perfect to enjoy a beach holiday and the beach was so close. The house is very well equipped, the beds are comfy and there's plenty of furniture. The only downside was the sofa bed in the lounge wasn't comfortable to sit on. Rustington is a fantastic little town. Great range of shops, cafes and pubs. Highly recommend.
Lovely cottage, very private and quiet. Secluded garden, very peaceful. Everything you could want for a relaxing holiday.
We stayed a week in the River House with our 18 month old and despite having bad luck with the weather, we had a great stay. The house was spotless and the kitchen was well equipped. The garden is gorgeous, a shame we couldn't spend more time out in it! The owners were really helpful, and solved some minor niggles for us really quickly. The location was good - 20m walk from the station and a 5/10m walk into Arundel. It's on a busy road, but the house itself felt quiet and peaceful. We'd happily stay again!
Absolutely beautiful barn with all the amenities required for a wonderful stay. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the spices you could need. There were boardgames for us to play and the bedrooms were all great sizes with ensuite bathrooms which was great for a large group. Loved it and would highly recommend!
This is by far one of the best places we have stayed and the location is great. The house is spacious and comfortable and everything has been provided and thought of.Very comfortable beds and bedding which was greatly appreciated. The cottage is in the perfect location for some lovely walk right from your door. The garden is large and absolutely teaming with bird life...waking every morning to the dawn chorus was magical. The pool was a lovely temperature always and great for playing in or lapping up and down. The games room was a great addition and very much enjoyed. The house has had some renovati...more
Really lovely, cosy cottage with a friendly and helpful owner. We would definitely come back. Highly recommended.
A lovely comfortable cottage with lots of character. The views from all the windows were wonderful and there are lots of picturesque walks to enjoy. The local shop is well stocked and there is a good choice of takeaway menus from local restaurants and pubs. A perfect location for a rural retreat for a relaxing break.
We had a good week at Marine House and the size and space was perfect for our party of 6. The upstairs seating area was very comfortable as were the bedrooms Perhaps an update to kitchen crockery to include cups and saucers would not go amiss
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Beth had anticipated all our needs and more. The 'goodies' awaiting us were much appreciated, the shortbread biscuits especially so by David!
Lovely little house where the owners had thought of virtually everything to make this a comfortable stay. Great location to stay in with a nice field opposite to let the dog do its "dailies" and very close (minutes) to pubs, restaurants and shops of the old part of Rye. We stayed a week and would stay again (....and have already recommended to our sons)
This cosy cottage was perfect for a short stay and Sally was a friendly host. It was really well appointed, spotlessly clean and the enclosed garden was perfect for the dog. The location was close to everything and we enjoyed exploring Pagham nature reserve, West Wittering and the walk between Chichester Marina and Dell Quay.
The accomodation is very good, clean, tidy, well-equipped, private, and in a beautiful and quiet location. The hosts are welcoming but not intrusive, and include nice extra touches like a welcoming home made cake, etc and some starting essentials like tea and milk etc, as well as some written details on places and points of interest. A splendid place for walking, straight from the doorstep, with or without a dog, and cycling or just relaxing.
40th celebration. Lovely house and amazing garden. Definitely recommend! Perfect for a celebration with friends.
We had an enjoyable holiday partly due to the accommodation which was first class and very comfortable. Located close to the seafront it was ideal for spending time on the beach. Highly recommendable.
A pretty cottage in a quiet location. Handy for the cathedral. Comfortable, well furnished sitting room/kitchen. Light and airy. Well equipped kitchen - in fact almost too well equipped. Every cupboard full. Nowhere to store groceries. No washing machine so not suitable for longer stays. Very clean and well kept. Extremely helpful caretaker. Parking difficult, particularly at weekends. On a very steep hill. Those who are disabled or temporarily weak should note that the staircase is not a conventional one and is not suitable for all - it’s almost a ship’s ladder. There is no photo of thi...more
We had a really enjoyable stay in this sweet little cottage which was very tastefully decorated. Walks from the door and only a 15 minute walk to the train station in Pulborough making it easy to reach walks further afield Hosts were friendly and welcoming but not at all intrusive.
This is the second time we have used this cottage. As previously, the owners have been very friendly and helpful. The cottage the is the ideal place to come for a quiet relaxing break. There are plenty of places of interest to visit in the vicinity. All in all we highly recommend this cottage.
We were given a very warm welcome from the owners of this lovely clean and cosy cottage. There are so many walks and places to visit that our only regret was not to be staying longer..
My partner and I had a pleasant three nights stay here. It's a two bedroom cottage attached to the side of a large house, where the helpful owner lives. All spotlessly clean - especially important in these challenging times. In pretty good condition generally - lovely sitting room and light bedrooms. Good TV with Netflix etc. Kitchen and bathroom ok, if a tad outdated - the water flow is a bit iffy when you're showering. There are a couple of other cottages nearby and a busy road but we weren't disturbed by noise. Apparently we were staying on a particularly expensive weekend and it seemed h...more
This is our second pre-Christmas stay and hopefully we shall be returning in 2021. The property is warm and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. We particularly liked the fire in the kitchen, which apart from being cheerful saved turning on the central heating if we happened to be in during the day. We met the gardener, who certainly does a good job though wouldn't be persuaded to take on the 500 mile round trip to get our garden under control!!.
Great location 2min from the beach , very nice house , great to have parking . Amazingly well equipped kitchen but could do with some ice trays , we arrived in the heatwave and everywhere had sold out of ice . Luckily my friend lives nearby so I borrowed one from her . Garden was nice but feel more could be done with it , a few comfortable recliners and a parasol for shade would be great. Had some lovely walks on the beach with our dog . Recommend the Chinese and Thai takeaways . An all round relaxing experience and I would definitely stay here again .
We had a relaxing week at the barn which is in a beautiful, peaceful location. It was lovely to have a vase of freshly picked flowers and a homemade lemon cake with milk in the fridge on arrival. Very comfortable accommodation and helpful friendly owner who gave us a super interesting tour of the gardens.
Great four night booking. Excellent hosts, extremely welcoming and helpful but not at all intrusive, great to have milk and orange juice on our arrival so that we could have a cuppa. The property is cosy, comfortable and private with good parking. It is equipped with everything you should need and the owners are just a short walk across the drive if needed. The paddock is useful for a late night comfort break for the dog's and there is excellent walking locally using public footpaths across farmland. The Pub across the road is excellent, serving excellent food, with lots of outdoor eating area...more
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Sea Loft. The accommodation was in an ideal location, very comfortable and ideal for three people. The kitchen was reasonably well-equipped, although we did have to buy ourselves a small sharp knife. Our stay was only let down by some minor issues: the cleanliness was not great (e.g. the floors were not very clean and I had to clean out the cutlery tray before use); the appearance of the courtyards (front and rear) would have been improved if they had been swept and the chairs had been tidied up; the bedroom windows were very dirty; the towels could have been o...more
Enjoyed our week at the cottage. Loved the beams. Everywhere clean and well equipped. The Aga temperature wasn’t very high and took time to work out the other cooking devise. Quite disappointing bearing in mind the quality of the rest of the cottage. Great location to get out and about and such a pretty village.
The cottage is in a remote beautiful location, ideal for walking, bird watching and enjoying tranquility. I have only score 3 on the cleanliness due to an ant infestation in the kitchen caused by old sugar being left in the caddy. This took a short while to short and clean before we could add our own food into the environment. The rest of the cottage, including views was perfect. The amenities and resources within the property were excellent and we came away feeling rested and well catered for as a family who like walking, games, visiting places but with a homely place to return to in the even...more
A beautiful little cottage, set in amazing scenery. Bird song morning, noon and night. Unfortunately for us, the weather could have been better, but the day we managed to sit outside in the sun, it was beautiful. The cottage is very old and creaky, but has everything you need to have a great break away. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to the nearest pub, very necessary if you eat too much! The shower is strong and hot, the bed very comfortable.
This is a very peaceful location yet only a 5 minute drive in either direction to pubs with very good food. Less than 5 minutes to an excellent farm shop. The barns are very spacious with comfortable sofas and well stocked kitchen. The owners responded promptly to an issue we needed to report and kept us informed without being intrusive. We found the bath a little slippy when using the shower but understand that in Covid times a non slip mat wouldn't be appropriate. It would be helpful if the towel rail could be heated independently of the heating system. We stayed in an unusually col...more
This is a perfect cottage for two people. The owners who live next door are very friendly and helpful. You can walk into Arundel - about 10 minutes.
We enjoyed a very happy week in Seahorses, a house which is both comfortably and ellegantly furnished to a very high standard. Emsworth is excellently located for touring the area and visiting nearby Chichester and Portsmouth. There were some minor issues which should be addressed:- 3 bulbs require replacing in the kitchen a number of the door springs are creaky and should be oiled the Welcome Manual ...more
The Clearing is a pleasant place to stay in the South Downs, very clean, good storage and shower. We would advise anyone going to stay maybe to take their own duvet as it's a 13.5 tog even in summer and with veluex windows just too hot. I did ask if duvet could be changed for a lighter one but he didn't have one!!!! Also things like tin opener and cutlery need replacing. Also outside pictures on line out of date as there is no seating at the front or back decking of the property.
The house is very comfortable and fully equipped, but unfortunately was very dirty when we arrived and wasn't rectified during our stay. Fantastic location for great beaches, walking and visiting local villages like Alfriston.
Wonderful location. If you are seeking a quiet relaxing holiday, look no further. We spent every day swimming in the sea and walking around the nature reserve with our little dog. Everyone was super friendly. The bungalow was comfortable and had everything we needed. The bedrooms were a little small but we knew this would be the case. The bedding and towels were good quality. We will definitely be rebooking. Thank you for a wonderful week.
Excellent location in the old town. Well presented accommodation. Would recommend. If disabled great for parking as bay right outside property
We had a lovely stay, the cottage was in a great location and very well equipped and clean. The little extras were great - fresh flowers, milk, biscuits and wine. Local restaurants and shops were close, and we had some lovely meals in Arundel.
We aced it with a gloriously sunny week in Steyning. The cottage was perfect for us with the combination of indoor/outdoor space meaning there were plenty of options for relaxing and dining. The back gate led onto the cricket pitch and the gentle clapping of spectators added to the summer vibe. We made good use of the back gate as we had to park some distance from the cottage as a neighbour coned off and parked on the street directly in front of the property. A stand up shower in the large bathroom would have been handy, but we soon adjusted to the lovely large roll top bath and hand shower se...more
Stunning views and daily visits to our bedroom door by hundreds of goats. Young and old our party was full of gratitude for the experience.
Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Loquat Cottage. We found the property comfortable, clean and very nicely situated. It was lovely and quiet and we enjoyed the small seated area on sunny mornings with a coffee. I'd recommend this terraced house and I have earmarked a return journey !!
A spacious house with direct access to a wonderful beach, a great holiday for three generations. Comfortable beds with lovely fresh, clean bedding and well equipped kitchen. Perhaps a few of the smaller items throughout the property could be renewed, however the house, decking and magical gate to the beach were everything our family needed at this time. Excellent service from Amberley House Cottage Holidays and the owner of the property.
Our second stay in this lovely cottage set in beautiful countryside just a few miles from the coast. Lots to see and do in the area and a delightful garden to relax in. Perfect for our dogs with plenty of excellent walks to enjoy. We look forward to our next stay.
Booking process efficient. The property itself was comfortable, warm and well equipped. A lovely place in a lovely area for walking. The nearby White Horse served good beer and food.
The property, the village and the area are all ideal for relaxation , walking , pubs and eating .The cottage is very well equipped , full of character with an excellent garden room leading to a lovely garden. The owner was very helpful and understanding when we lost the keys !
An enjoyable stay in a good property which had a comfortable lounge and sitting area. The kitchen and cooking facilities were very good and helped present us with the holiday we were expecting.
Brewer's Cottage is right in the centre of the village, with only a 5 minute walk to the supermarket which was very handy. The cottage is comfy and the facilities are lovely and clean - the Covid protocols are clearly followed, with cleaning materials provided. There’s plenty of equipment in the kitchen so self-catering is not a problem, although there are several restaurants and takeaways close by as well. The cottage is compact, and the staircase is small so need to be careful, but it’s an old cottage so we had expected that. The owner has provided lots of information about the equipment ...more
we had booked a long stay while building work was being done at home. This cottage was perfect for the 2 of us and our dog, Jasper. Beautiful setting and lovely walks from the door. Several NT properties very close which we used avidly! Really cosy cottage with big log fire every evening and it was always warm (despite several pretty cold, wet days!). Working farm was a constant interest to us all and out 2 little granddaughters (who stayed a few nights). Liz and Bob (farmer/owners) were brilliant. A fantastic stay! Thoroughly recommended
Rose Mullion is a lovely cosy cottage. Beautiful fireplaces and charming quaintness with a touch of modern throughout. Our dogs loved the large secure garden. We were provided with plenty of towels and bedding for our months stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, all you need is food although tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits were provided. Beds were softer than we are used to but comfy. Downstairs toilet very handy! Because of lockdown, neither pub was open in village so cannot comment there, but lots of walks from cottage. Books, games and a TV for those rainy days. We would definitely recom...more
We really enjoyed our stay at Saxons. The property was comfortable and the owners very welcoming. Super sitting-out area of which we took full advantage. Loved the birdsong and the deer.. The location was ideal - visited Wakefield, Standen, Sheffield Park and Ardingly Reservoir, and the walking in Ashdown Forest was great. Exceeded expectations.
The cottage is in a good location, close to the excellent pub and very peaceful. Garden is pretty and well tended. Kitchen well provided with crockery, cutlery and utensils. Kitchen table top a bit wobbly and chairs not very comfy for leisurely breakfast. Due to previous feedback about the Rayburn we avoided cooking and ate out every day. Plenty hot water for excellent shower in en suite off main bedroom. Only used main king sized bed, mattress is comfortable. Ornate brass bedstead not great for sitting up to read. Bedside tables dominated by huge lamps. 2nd bathroom very dim lighting. ...more
If you like quirky places with a bit of character, this is a place for you. The details describe the house well. It was warm and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. We had no problems with the hot water. It is also in a quiet location and well situated for exploring the surrounding areas.
We booked Little House as it was near our son's home, we live in Cornwall and our other children live in Essex and Hong Kong. We all wanted to be together for Christmas and so the location was ideal. It was spacious downstairs with two bedrooms and a bathroom all of a good size and a further ensuite bedroom upstairs (couldn't work the heating upstairs so it tended to be cold). The open plan kitchen and living room allowed a very sociable space. The games room is a great addition when you have a lot of people around and is equipped with a table tennis equipment and a few board games. Al...more
It was a great cottage but would have been better with a new set of pots and pans. This was especially so as we arrived on a cold Monday and nothing was open near by to eat out. Overall relatively clean and comfortable. Good location for access to the beach.
A very peaceful retreat that was a lovely surprise as the photos did not do it justice. It was very suitable for two although the upstairs room felt more like a TV room than a relaxing sitting room. It was lovely to sit out in the garden as the weather was glorious and use of the owner’s pool was a bonus. A good base for walking, cycling and visiting the coast. The friendly owners were on hand when needed.
We had a wonderfull time at the Swimming Pool Retrete, it’s definately what it says on the tin, a lovely little get away in a great location of local towns etc. We explored the coast, had a wonderfull dinner at the Crab and Lobster only 20 min drive and spent long hours in the pool with the music turned up! The kitchenette proved very handy so you didn’t always need to go out for all meals wich was good keeping the cost down and helped you enjoy where we were staying more. Would definitely recommend and return :)
The good things: very quiet and pretty location; lovely patio; comfortable bed; well equipped; most areas were clean Not so good: bathroom was damp & smelly; we were given the wrong key code; the lock was almost too stiff to use (used the back door); runner in hall was a trip hazard; there were lots of cobwebs and hair where the bed joined the wall;
We had a very relaxing time staying at this beautiful cottage in Selsey Great, quiet location, walking distance to the sea, Village & bus stop to Chichester & Lifeboat Inn pub Due to Covid do remember to bring your own bathroom towels & tea towels !
The garden with its outlook was superb. The house was very dated and some areas were not clean enough when we arrived. Beds were comfortable. Shower over the bath could be dangerous. Parking was not easy but we got used to it. Watch out for the slippery steps. With some updating this could be a stunning place to stay.
We needed a three-month rental and the location of Sheriff Cottage was excellent. However, the cottage was not suitable for a longer term let. The cottage is very small. The website does not make it clear that you are renting Sheriff Cottage 3, and that there are two other families living in the same house. The cottage was also packed to the brim with statues and vases, tablecloths and pillows. Over the years people have stuffed the cupboards with unwanted items. This meant, unfortunately that there was very little place to store our own clothes, books etc. When we arrived, the outdate...more
This cottage was lovely and felt brand new. it was clean and well appointed. It had good space and also secure parking. It’s a short walk into the village centre of Hurstpierpoint and there are some lovely walks on your doorstep which afford views of the Southdown hills. My only criticism was that the pillows on the beds were as hard as nails and each bed had two of them which you simply couldn’t sleep on because they were too high and hard. However, would definitely recommend the place as a comfortable, quiet and relaxing place to stay whilst visiting the area,
This is a lovely flat in a great location for the beach and other amenities. It is really nicely decorated and in excellent condition.
Location was amazing. Really enjoyed our stay and nice property overall. would definitely recommend. Downsides were:- Vacuum cleaner on-site would have been useful for carpeted areas. Blind in bathroom broken so had to use a towel to cover. Potholes on approach to property were awful.
I went there with my mum, daughter and one of my granddaughters, and the setting was beautiful, and just set back from the road. It has a lovely big garden, and everything you need inside the cottage. What else can I say, apart from wonderful.
Lovely quirky looking interior however we didn't sleep very well through the whole stay. First night we tried the steps up to mezimen bedroom but the noise from the fridge freezer which is so very close starting up all night was too much so we tried making up the sofa bed for the rest of the stay but that wasn't very comfy on one side so apart from lack of sleep we did enjoy the surroundings and the quiet privacy that The Well House has to offer.
Cosy, comfortable little cottage in an excellent location for a dog friendly break.Very quiet and fantastic walks nearby
Kitchen equipment, (pots, pans, crockery) needs updating and sorting, too many bits and pieces, Minor maintenance before a let. shower head came apart, toilet seat moved on the pan. Otherwise the accommodation and our stay was OK.
Our first impressions when entering Middle House was that we were in someone's home who had just popped out. Lots of personal items around , however , very comfortable, warm cosy & interesting.!! Everything you need in the kitchen for S/C apart from an ice cube tray for our G & T's !!!. Lovely comfortable beds with quality linen. Slight plumbing problem dealt with promptly & professionally by Callum. Thank you ....We will be back.!
Firstly, you can’t beat this location; 10 minutes walk from the seafront, down a street lined with well-maintained and beautiful listed buildings. From that point of view, I would recommend staying, but the property does need some work doing. Overall it’s a comfortable place to stay, nice lounge, comfy beds, lots of towels and when you open the back door in the morning the scent of honeysuckle is amazing! The terraced garden is lovely, but the steps are steep and some are a bit loose, so you need to watch out. For anyone with young kids or for anyone who is unsteady on their feet, I wouldn’...more
Modern house well equipped. Shame about the limited parking. In general house style suits only 2 adults and kids due to only one shower and small kitchen/dining area. Office/lounge extension was a plus.
I use a walker rather than a wheelchair and the other person has reduced strength but is ambulant. The postcode given on the booking details was to the Watersports’ complex. We were emailed the actual postcode and detailed directions on the arrival day. The accommodation is separate from the water sports area. The entry is via a locked gate with a keypad. This keypad is at shoulder height for someone standing up as is the key safe for the lodge. There is parking for 2 cars. The drive is topped by lose pebbles, so not easy to wheel through. There is a slight edge to get on to the wooden r...more
