A character cottage, with a woodburner, just moments from the beach; perfect for families and walkers looking to explore the coastline.

Great location but with mobility issues

The cottage is in a great location 2 minutes from the beach and regular buses into Chichester.
However, anyone with a mobility issue would struggle to climb over the foot high wall at the front to get the the front door and this is the only access and the stairs are very steep and narrow.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Sea Pinks and found the location to be perfect for the beach and exploring further afield via public transport. Our description of Sea Pinks does mention that there is a stone tide wall in front of the property and that there are steep stairs within this period cottage.

A very short walk to the sea, fresh seafood, comfortable cottage - very cosy and sea-sidey.
A very cosy and sea-sidey cottage only a few minutes stroll from the beach and seafood vendors. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. We were a party of three so had ample space, but I do not think it would be suitable for 6 adults (only 1 bathroom/toilet).

Sea Pinks is a charming old cottage that has been tastefully decorated and furnished and with prety gardens in the front and back.
The quiet shingle beach with its RNLI lifeboat station and fishing boats is just a 5 minute walk away; and Selsey village is 5 minutes by car. Between the cottage and beach is a pub/diner that serves marvellous fish and chips as part of its extensive menu. The sea paths are lovely for walking and there is plenty to do further afield: the Pagham Harbour Nature reserve (10 mins by car); crazy golf for the whole family (10 minutes by car); and Chichester (20 minutes by car) with its cathedral, theatre, cinemas and bowling.

Three of us had a long weekend in Selsey, planned to link in with a family birthday celebration locally. Sea Pinks Cottage was everything we could have wished for: all the comforts of home, an excellent location for what we wanted and great value for money. Chrissy could not have made us more welcome when we arrived and we really did have a superbly relaxing weekend. The courtyard garden is a real sun-trap for a bright breakfast; the house is equipped with everything one could need and the front garden is a perfect spot for an evening glass of wine as the sun goes down. The proximity to Selsey Town Centre and walking distance to beach, pubs and Lifeboat were a real bonus - as was the fact that it has a peaceful and relaxing location with parking outside. We would strongly recommend the Lifeboat Inn for food and drink, Potters shack for a crab sandwich and lobster platter, and the Asda and Co-op have all you could wish for in the supplies department. The Lifeboat Station and Visitor Centre is really worth a visit and the volunteers we met were all just great. Once more our thanks for a superb short break - we will definitely look to visit again - 3 days did not do it full justice!
