Orchard View is a charming two storey cottage, packed full of character with boasting views overlooking the garden that has access to a seated patio area, complete with parasol and barbecue.

On the ground floor, an open plan living area with a luxurious corner sofa and wood burner provides the perfect setting for a relaxing break.

The quaint kitchen is very well equipped with an electric oven, microwave and fridge freezer.

Upstairs, the galleried bedroom contains a delightful king size four poster bed with a new memory foam mattress, antique dressing table and wardrobe. The en-suite bathroom also has a shower over the bath, wash basin and WC.

Pet free accomodation and parking for one car.

Arrivals after 3pm please.

Fantastic location and cottage had everything you could want and more. Very generous welcome pack great hosts. We had an lovely time. Will defiantly return.

Our 4th return visit to Higher Carthew Farm and this stay was as good as all the others. A perfect location to explore Cornwall and Orchard Cottage was just perfect again. Thank you Jane and Jeremy. Hope to see you next year. We would highly recommend the cottages if you want peace and quiet and a relaxing holiday

This is our second visit to Higher Carthew Farm and it hasn't lost its charm. The owners Jeremy and Jane are warm , friendly and very helpful. Our cottage,Orchard View, was comfortable and had a four poster bed. It is well positioned to visit all the attractions of Cornwall.

We have just returned from spending a wonderful fortnight in Orchard View. The accommodation is very comfortable with everything you could possibly need including plentiful hot water and a great shower! This is not always a given in remote farm accommodation. There was a warm welcome on arrival, the cream tea and cider and fresh flowers were a lovely touch. The farm is ideally situated to exploring both the north and south coasts while being very quiet, peaceful and restful.
Thank you Jane and Jeremy for a lovely holiday, we will look forward to returning again soon.

A peaceful and quiet place, and Jane and Jeremy are warm and welcoming. The cottage is comfortable and clean, and well situated to visit a large number of attractions.

Not only was the accommodation in spotless condition but it was finished in excellent order and tastefully decorated.

This was our third stay at Higher Carthew Farm and as always was perfect in every way. Orchard View cottage was very comfortable and cosy with the log burner on chilly spring evenings. Jane and Jeremy are perfect hosts making us very welcome and always had time for a chat. The farm is perfectly positioned in beautiful Cornwall to visit both coasts and all the attractions that are available. The cream tea on arrival was superb.

Absolutely loved orchard view, it is stunning and so well stocked and comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone and when everything is back to normal we hope to be able to return. The cottage had everything you require, there was nothing I could think of that wasn't supplied. Very very clean.

Spent a lovely week here. Accommodation very clean, cosy & comfortable and hosts friendly & helpful. Convenient for exploring both north & south coasts as just a short drive. Only downside if you are walkers is that you can't really set out straight from the cottage as the roads are not very safe i.e. fast roads with no pavements or public footpaths nearby. But if you don't mind taking the car out each time there are some stunning areas to explore

We are ten minutes from a quiet little hamlet of Bolenowe joining up to 60 km of mining trails on foot, bike or horseback to discover Cornwall's Mining Heritage. (mainly off road) This incorporates the "World Heritage Site" "Coast to Coast route""The Portreath Branchline trail" "The Great Flat lode" "The Tresavean Trail" and much much more.................

Our two weeks at this lovely comfortable secluded place was just what we needed. The barns are centrally located to visit all of the South coast easily ( the sunny warm weather was an added bonus!)
The owners are welcoming and friendly and the facilities are adequate ( our welcome pack of scones, jam and clotted cream and local cider was such a lovely thought and delicious). We would have liked a bigger fridge but only because we chose to eat in every day and took our own daily picnic ( due to the current pandemic) so we obviously took a lot of food down with us and there wasn’t quite enough space to store it all. However there is a communal freezer in the laundry room.
The fresh eggs are also lovely
We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and would return In the future
