Ardmore has a breathtaking sea view. It has a 5’ x 6’6”, four poster bed.

The bathroom has a deep Victorian bath with a shower, from which you can enjoy views of the sea.

Glengorm may be a bit out of the way but it is worth it. The house and the grounds are beautiful with the setting against the ocean. The room and bed were very comfortable. The staff could not have been friendlier and the breakfast was the best I've had in a long time. I also loved the whisky set out at night for a wee dram before bedtime, nice touch.

We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. My wife wanted something special and we weren't disappointed.
The room was beautifully decorated with stunning views. The bed was extremely comfortable.
Breakfast was outstanding on both days. The staff were so welcoming and eager to please.
We had a wonderful time exploring the estate and I enjoyed a complimentary whiskey while we watched the sunset.

So glad I was able to book 2 nights in this wonderful beautiful castle. With the warm welcome from our hosts, beautiful rooms open to guests, our bedroom and bathroom with views to the paddocks and sea (hearing the lambs in the background, when we opened the windows), stunning walk around the property, whisky library and delicious breakfast, we had an amazing and peaceful stay. We could not have asked for more and we will always treasure our memories of these 2 nights. So good for the soul.

We loved our stay at Glengorm castle. It has the feeling of staying in a stately home, but at the same time is so warm and welcoming you feel immediately at home. We stayed in the Ardmore, with its glorious views out to the sea, comfortable & spacious bed and a gorgeous bathroom with the same view. The library and games room is brilliant. The complimentary whiskey library is inspired and was a particular highlight. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
Walk around the grounds and gardens it is simply breathtaking. 10/10

This was our second time at Glengorm Castle. It is simply the best B&B we have stayed at. We love the setting, the views, the wildlife, the spaciousness, the log fires, the breakfasts, the whisky library and being able to walk out across the lovely Glengorm Estate.

We spent two wonderful days in Glengorm. The location is perfect. The welcome was warm and friendly. Our room was lovely. The complimentary malts were very much appreciated. We would go back tomorrow if we could!

The only thing we'd change would be for there to be a way for in which an evening meal could be provided too, though we recognise that this would be difficult. It’s a long trek back up to the castle from Tobermory after you’ve been out for a meal.

But it was a fabulous stay nonetheless. Thank you!

We had an amazing stay at Glengorm Castle, our room was spacious and had everything you might need. The views from Ardmore room are stunning, across the end of the island to the sea.
Breakfast was very tasty with lots of choice and the complimentary whisky library was a lovely touch.
Would totally recommend a stay here!

The interior is to die for and the views from the castle are breathtaking. The bedrooms are just stunning and the breakfast was an added bonus.

The castle does not have a restaurant for dinner, but it is not a problem. We dined at Am Berlin (~35 min drive) and Mishnish (~15 mins), both equally as nice! I would also recommend pre-booking 1 week in advance so you can book a table - Especially on a Sunday and Monday when a lot of restaurants are closed

We stayed for 2 nights at Glengorm Castle and it made our holiday that little bit more special. I could honestly not recommended more. The livingroom is great for wet rainy nights in - endless book collection, board games, pool and darts! They even have a whiskey library!

A stay at Glengorm will be forever etched in your memory.
Just stunningly beautiful with a great feel and lovely staff.
Our room was perfect with amazing sea views. Even the loo had a sea view! We were blessed to witness an amazing sunset. In fact that and the views were so stunning we went to bed and kept the curtains open!
There's plenty to do here. Walks. Sea trips. Island hopping etc. After a day of activity you can return to the castle and enjoy the range of complimentary whiskys and enjoy board games or a game of pool or just sit and chill in the lounge areas.

Glengorm Castle is exquisite, every last detail is just amazing. The house is decorated and dressed perfectly, with so many beautiful things to look at and admire. The grounds and the view from the house take your breath away - sunsets over the Outer Hebrides, highland cattle wandering the estate and fabulous walks down to the shoreline passing historic sites and even a natural bathing pool to swim in if you are brave enough. The host and staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast kept us going all day. Not the cheapest place to stay on Mull but definitely worth every penny. We will be back.

Stunning location, beautiful building, wish we could have stayed longer, the room had a view to die for, a very comfortable bed and a stylish roll top bath and brass shower, the decor was traditional in keeping with the building.

We spent a wonderful night in Glengorm Castle. The welcome from Pam was perfect as was the room. Lovely touches like fresh milk for use in the room and a plate of sweets make a difference. We travelled to Tobermory Hotel for a celebratory meal. It would’ve been wonderful if we could have had an evening meal in the castle. The breakfast was perfect and we’d definitely return if we visit the area again
Thanks

We enjoyed a wonderful 2 nights at Glengorm and can't wait to come back. The staff were attentive but gave us space to explore the house and estate so you truly felt comfortable in your surroundings. The bedroom was light and clean and the bed was really comfortable. The views from our room were breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious and hearty. It's fantastic to see such a successful business support other islands businesses too I.e. "Mull Pottery" crockery and Isle of Mull soap, cheese and sausages. A fantastic place which we would highly recommend.

We had a great stay at the castle that is just right remote from Tobermory. The room was great with an amazing view to the land and sea. Staying at Glengorm is like being at a friend's house where you're free circulate anywhere, borrow boots and rain jackets, having a walk on the country side and a good drink. Much recommended !

The ambience and warmth of welcome wraps around you and takes away all the stress and turmoil of the outside world. it is anything but pretentious and has an old world charm that instantly makes you feel at home. Yes, it is out of the way, up a narrow trek from Tobermory, but that is what makes Glengorm Castle the perfect place to stay. Up on a headland with magnificent views, acres to roam, it's own standing stones and Iron age forts, Scottish Blackface Sheep and Highland Cattle. You couldn't ask for more. But then the rooms are big and comfy, the staff is the nicest ever, and there is whiskey always available when you come in cold and damp from trekking. No noise, five rooms, a perfect place to stay.

Beautiful stay at Glengorm! Cleanliness and customer service excellent! We travelled in the winter so our experience was a lot different than that of someone staying during peak season in the summer. There was no other option but to go to town for dinner, and even then, only two restaurants that were open. There was only one taxi company operating and we found it difficult to initially get a hold of them. It was expensive for us to have to travel back and forth from town so many times. We got a free upgrade, which was amazing, and our room was beautiful, well-maintained, and clean. The other areas available for guest use were lovely, and we would have liked to use them more. Glengorm is the kind of place where it would be neat to stay multiple nights and be able to explore the estate more, have time to read in the library, etc. - however, it's expensive for the average tourist to do that. We had bad weather on the day of our departure and we were almost stuck on Mull another night. We were very panicked because we knew there was no way we could have afforded another night at Glengorm. I will say that we are very lucky that we had the financial ability to stay there, because everyone deserves to stay in a castle once in their lives.

We were a party of 5 and had two rooms, Ardmore and Mingary, which overlooked a wonderful hilly and grassy expanse, with the ocean in the background. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, decorated with a pleasant taste of the past, and even the large bathroom shared the view on the ocean.
Upon our arrival, we had a cup of tea in our room (small couch and lots of places to sit all 5 of us) and enjoyed the delicious shortbread provided on the tray. This was the best tea/coffee tray we had out of the six room rentals; worthy of a castle!
After a short walk on the scenic trail going down to the ocean, we came back to explore the library of the castle and warmed up by the fire in the chimney. Contrarily to what we had expected, the castle was warm everywhere, thanks to very efficient radiators and chimneys. Very pleasant atmosphere in the library, also looking towards the sea, and some of us had a game at the pool table. There is a vast assortment of books, reference manuals and games which gives it a very lively atmosphere.
After dinner in Tobermory, we came back to enjoy a whisky tasting (no less than 15 different brands - a revelation for my son...) in the beautiful room adjacent to the library.
Finally, in the morning, we had breakfast in the grand dining room, yet another atmosphere to discover.
We truly enjoyed being able to use all these great rooms at will (I forgot to mention the huge living room in the entrance) which allowed us to capture the feeling of living in a castle.
We had a really great stay!

We were greeted at the gate by a charming herd of Highland Coos (long horned cows), and then at the Castle by Pam. She gave us a full tour, told us about the history of the castle, and local restaurants, then took us to our room (we arrived early and were pleasantly surprised the room was ready). The room was in great condition, and we especially enjoyed the beautiful views of the coastline and ocean, as well as the lovely bath linens and robes. We had plenty of time to enjoy a warming fire in the game room and they were very helpful supplying dinnerware and cutlery, when we decided to stay in for the night to enjoy dinner by the fireside. All in all, a very relaxing and lovely experience!

The castle is absolutely beautiful, in lovely condition, like stepping back in time.
The staff are warm and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and the breakfast will set you up for the day.
I felt so relaxed after a couple of days at Glengorm, I would definitely return.

If we would have known how amazingly beautiful this place was we definitely would have stayed more than one night. Everything about this place was amazing. I can’t wait until we can go back with our kids and really explore all this place has to offer.

Tolles Schloss in Traumlage. Direkt vor dem Schloss Wandermöglichkeiten bis zum Strand. Vorbei an fotogenen Schafen (Scottish black face) und Hochlandrindern sowie an prähistorischen Steinkreisen.
Opulentes Frühstück in historischen Räumen.

Well, let's just start with a delightful personal welcome and showing to our rooms. We felt so comfortable and at home with the whole experience. It was great to have a coffee shop nearby for grabbing a quick snack or lunch before setting out for one of many enjoyable walks on the property both historical and breathtaking.

Having Tobermory, the nearest town, close by was great for our evening meals, entertainment and walkabouts. Both the folks at the Castle and the town were so pleasant and personable that if I didn't live so far away, Vancouver Island, BC, I would visit as often as possible.

From the time that we arrived at Glengorm for our 2 night stay, and were welcomed by Pam, we felt that our every need was met, in an unobtrusive way, by all the staff. Beautiful property, miles from nowhere, gorgeous weather, what more could we ask for - most certainly a highlight of our 3 week vacation in Ireland and Scotland

Unique castle accommodation in a stunning setting. What a treat for weary travellers! Beautiful rooms with ocean/sunset view, fresh air, peace and quiet and access to hike anywhere on the estate. Interiors are exceptional, whiskey in the library with full length window views and full Scottish breakfast in the grand old dining room in the morning. Beautiful wood, stained glass windows and luxurious bedding made for a very special stay. Off the beaten track, but absolutely worth the effort. Thanks for a great highlight to our trip.

This was our fourth visit to Glengorm since we honeymooned there in 2003. Glengorm deserves every bit of its five star rating offering a subtle mix of a family home with the standard of 5 star accommodation. The staff are discreet but friendly and helpful and no one could dispute that the comfort and views from every part of the building are amazing. We would love to be able to come back more often but for us it is an occasional treat that keeps Glengorm and Mull close to our hearts. Thank you again.

Amazing Castle situated in the most spectacular grounds. The whole place was so well looked after and our room was amazing.
Breakfast each morning was beautiful and they even went out of their way to cater for my gluten free needs.
The only downside was that we had to leave.

Our stay at Glengorm was magical—opening with a gourmet lunch at the coffee shop, enjoying a informative tour of the castle and our beautiful, spacious living quarters with breathtaking hills and sea view, replenishing with single malts by evening and full Scottish breakfast by morning and benefitting from a gracious, experienced staff, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Glengorm. Many many thanks.

Wonderful stay in a gorgeous location. The room was extremely comfortable with incredible views to the coastline. Everything we needed was to hand. Lovely breakfast too. A very minor criticism is that the WiFi coverage could be better; however it was great to be able to 'switch-off'.

We could stay at Glengorm only for one night, but it was worth the effort. A lovely place, set in an ideal location. Rain, the most common Scottish atmospheric condition, kept us from what looked like great walks to the coast, and in the meadows full of sheep. Breakfast the morning of our departure to Tobermory was excellent.

Can't fault Glengorm castle. Very grand and imposing castle but at the same time welcoming and intimate. Having whisky available to sample was a lovely touch as was Olivia giving us milk and home made jam so we could have a cream tea when we arrived. The fact that and epic landscape with copious wildlife is, literally, right there just makes it a dream location

We stayed at Glengorm Castle for one night, after a week cycling around Mull, staying at B&Bs, for our last night treat. The weather was glorious and sunny (which always helps!), we had a fantastic 3 or 4 mile walk down to the coast, and our room was beautiful, with brilliant views down to the coast. The Glengorm Café provided a good lunch for us, and breakfast at the Castle was as good as we had all week. Staff were cheerful and helpful.
Only minor issue was that we didn't realise that it is not possible to have an evening meal at the castle until we arrived. .Not wanting to cycle 4 miles back into Tobermory and then back after eating there, we had to buy oatcakes, cheese, cake etc. at the café for an evening meal. We recommend that visitors are made aware of this in advance (probably not such an issue for people arriving by car).
In summary, we've rarely ever stayed anywhere as amazing, but could have done with some dinner !

Glengorm Castle is an amazing place, the location is unbeatable, remote and beautiful (200 meters from the ocean, just look at the pictures).
The castle and the gardens are very well maintained, the room was spacious yet cozy and made us feel home from 1st moment.

Staff is friendly and helpful.

The cost of being there is not cheap, but we had no regrets other than not spending more time there.

We were blown away by the beauty of this place, fabulous grounds, views and so peaceful.the invitation to use the downstairs rooms was an added bonus and it was very comfortable. B and B only and it's a long drive back into Tobermory for dinner so we bought a picnic and had it in our room. 2nd comfy chair would have been nice! Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting something a little bit different and truly away from it all.

It happened to be my Birthday and I cannot imagine a nicer place to have spent the day!
I felt overwhelmed at first staying in such a magnificent place but felt home as soon as I stepped over the threshold.

After ringing the bell we were welcomed and told a bit about the castle and then shown our room. It was breathtaking! I thought forget the island, I will be staying in this room until I absolutely have to leave.
The view over the grounds and sea from the room was charming with lambs dotting the soft hills below.
We were told to make ourselves comfortable in the library and lounge and enjoy the (many) whiskeys that were available. In the evening after a meal in Tobermory we had the lounge to ourselves and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of the place.
The following morning we enjoyed a hearty breakfast with a magnificent viewand were welcomed by the owner.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The staff were friendly and helpful. I wish only that I could have stayed much longer than we did.

Loved the location, good room and excellent breakfasts. On last night we got a 'take away' from the Site Cafe and suggest that a facility to heat up pre ordered menu would be appreciated as nearest evening meal is in Tobermory.

A narrow twisty road up to the property just built our anticipation before the castle came into view. The grounds and area around the castle was fantastic but it was the open, pleasant reception we received upon entering that was just as wonderful. We were given a quick tour of the various common rooms for our use and our bedroom...all very spectacular and definitely spacious. My wife and explored the walking trails and had lunch at the on site cafe with superb food and service. After travelling through UK and Scotland for two weeks this was for sure the highlight of our tour before leaving for home. Thank you for an excellent time and after showing our pictures to many friends all of them have asked for the location and contact info. To bad you can't upload pictures to this site.

It's a real Castle!
This is an essential addition to any itinerary - the Castle and grounds are absolutely stunning and the rooms are really well fitted out without destroying the character of the castle (this is after all why we stayed here).
The Breakfast awesome and the complementary Scotch (or 2) in the library is an unexpected (but very welcome) bonus.

Ardmore was a superb room and we would recommend this to everyone looking at Gelmgorm Castle.
I'm being picky here, but the pillows need replacing, otherwise, every thing else was perfect. The pillows and duvet were feathers, just in case anyone has an allergy against feathers (I have a mild allergy to feathers). but that did not spoil the two nights it was lovely and relaxing with fantastic views.

Everything was perfect : the room, the breakfast, the whole castle was very cosy and comfortable.
The only thing that bothered us was the lack of information on where the castle is situated. This has room for improvment. When you're arriving by night at the castle it is very hard to find it.

The castle is amazing
The landscape is stunning

The staff seems to be friendly but still we didn't get that feeling to be at home, maybe we didn't stay enough long for that
we got a very good welcoming but we really feels to be at someone else place, we've been doing some air bnb on our trip & some places where we recon to be more familiar & more friendly

The people who were there gave us a bit of information to get dinner in town... a pity that there were no dinner service at the castle cause we would have loved to stay over there & enjoy the place for the evening... maybe we would have get another feeling...

The castle's 4 mile driveway through beautiful countryside to our first sight of Glengorm Castle was an adventure in itself. We had a very warm welcome from Steve who showed us around and our room and who had a wealth of knowledge on the local walks. Breakfasts were amazing as were the views from the dining room. Our room was beautiful with fantastic views of the coast. I should mention we had our 2 dogs with us which were made very welcome too. The walking from the Castle was second to none. The scenery, the skies, the whole mood of the landscape is an experience not to be missed. There were lovely log fires in the living room and the library to spend relaxing evenings by. We visited in November prepared for whatever the weather could throw at us and we walked every day experiencing rain, hail, sunshine, rainbows and the most amazing skies all within a morning. We could not recommend Glengorm Castle, the people or the area enough. Cannot wsit to go again.

The first glimpse of Glengorm as you drive along the narrow track is a wonderful sight, and it continues inside the old building, the lovely old staircase and the smell of fires makes the holiday. There are a lot of walks on the estate, and sea fishing also. There is a lovely cafe on the property also which makes snacks and light meals for visitors to the estate. Breakfast is tasty and plenty of choice. And a nice touch is the choice of whiskies available to staying guests to try. There is no evening meals at Glengorm, so you need to travel the 4-5 miles along the narrow road to Tobermory, where there are plenty of resteraunt a and cafe. Cafe fish became a favourite of ours with the catch of the day on the menu a tasty treat. It really was a relaxing and friendly place.

This sanctuary of heaven on the Isle of Mull was just what we needed to start our holiday. Set in tranquil grounds with highland cattle freely roaming with a rugged coastline was the stunning view from our window. The room was beautiful and we slept in the most comfortable feather bed.
Breakfast choices were amazing and all the food was sourced locally and very fresh. It really couldn't have been better - I even purchased a jar of their home made lemon marmalade - delicious.
The only problem we encountered was that we wished we could have stayed another night or two.

only stayed for 1 night 15th September. approx 5 miles up a road and track from Tobermory but views on route spectacular. On arrival met by Pam who showed us around the hotel. we had a room overlooking the lawns and outlook to the bay. Wonderful! The ambiance was a little like Downton Abbey. A grand selection of whiskeys available on trust. On the quirky side is there is no evening meal so its a trip down the winding track to Tobermory - this actually makes the whole visit worthwhile. The furnishing in the hotel are splendid. Ideal for able bodied patrons who are able to walk the tracks down to the coast. As my wife has mobility issues we were unable to take advantage of the tracks. Perhaps this could be improved upon but it may spoil the natural beauty. On the whole a lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: room with a bay view - the Ardmore was excellent

It was a long and convoluted way to get there: Stupidly we had failed to make a reservation for the Oban/Craignure ferry crossing and, after much consideration, decided to drive round to Lochline (2h) to catch the ferry from there to Fishnish. It wasn't too bad as the road is beautiful and the drive was very pleasant but, still, I would strongly recommend making that reservation.
We eventually made it to the Isle of Mull by mid-morning and took the short, GPS assisted drive from Fishnish to Glengorm Castle. By then the day had delivered the forecasted glorious sunshine and the first views of the castle were breathtaking.
The building itself, although massive, is smaller than one would expect but exquisitely beautiful. The setting is just perfect and the views out to the Outer Hebrides, sharply cut against the horizon, are spectacular.
We were received friendly and informally by Pam, who showed us to our room without any fuss although we were a few hours early for check-in. The room was spacious, clean and well furnished with quality furniture and original art on the walls. The bed linen and pillows are of excellent quality. Again, the view was gorgeous.
We had a rather nice light lunch at the coffee shop nearby and set off for a walk that was to last for more than 5hrs! It was brilliant! The temperature was perfect; the hills gentle and the grass soft under our feet. There are so many tracks and they are all beautiful so don't bother with a map, just go! We saw zillions of sheep, a large herd of highland cattle with their gold and copper shaggy coats, eagles, otters and countless rabbits. A photographer's paradise and I just couldn't stop clicking.
Then it dawned on us that this is strictly B&B, i.e. no evening meals are served, so we had to find our way down to Tobermory (4mi) for dinner. We went back for a (great!) shower and were ready to leave in good time but I couldn't resist going out again for a few more photos at sunset. I'm glad I did as they were some of the finest of the day.
Tobermory offers a small but good selection of places to eat. We had a pleasant evening and excellent scallops.
Breakfast was served in the main dining room and we had the bay window table and the superb view that it allows. We had the full Scottish breakfast and that saw us through the best part of the day.
Our only regret: it was way too short!

Room Tip: The south tower room has spectacular sunset view.

Splendid stay at Glengorm Castle. Very comfortable & relaxing as expected. Staff was friendly & accommodating. Pam was spot on with every request! The nearby cafe was comforting & the food was of high quality. Although the castle is remote transportation to Ardmore & nearby areas is easily arranged. Walks around the area are very beautiful & not too arduous. A superb choice for a peaceful holiday.

We had a wonderful three days at Glengorm. Although a large, grand, Victorian house, we were able to relax, and immediately felt at home. This was helped by the very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely view out to sea, and my wife was delighted to discover goose feather pillows on the bed! Breakfast times were very flexible and we were able to take our time in the mornings if we wanted. The only downside was that we were not aware that Tobermory was the nearest place to eat and that we needed to book ahead to ensure a table. Demand at the restaurants was great and we were not able to book at a time that was suitable for us. We therefore had to 'make do' with snacks or take away fish and chips for the three days we were there! The on site cafe served delicious lunches but closed at 5.00 pm. We thoroughly enjoyed the history walk with Ash, the resident wild-life tour guide.

This castle is our absolute favorite place to stay in Scotland! Make sure to book a room with a view of the fields, highland cattle, blackface sheep and ocean! After several days of Scottish sightseeing, this is the perfect place to come & relax! The views are awesome, and the rooms are spacious and luxuriously decorated. 5 star! We arrived during rain and so enjoyed sitting in the main room by the fire that was already roaring. Take a walk thru the highland cattle fields to the on-site ancient standing stones and on to the ocean. Breakfast in the large castle dining room makes you feel like the lord or lady if the castle! I loved the blue theme of the Ardmore room. Tobermory, 4 miles away is the nearest town. However there's a coffee shop on the estate for lunch or tea. Can't wait to go back to Glengorm a third time!

Glengorm castle is an amazing place. Our room was fantastic, with a magnificent view on the ocean.
You feel good in the castle because it is a living place, with the familiy furniture and portraits, it's very personnal, not like in hotels.
Steve was very friendly, he explained us the story of the place and made ourselves feel at home.
We will long remember our night there.

We first stayed at Glengorm in 2005, just a few years after they opened up to guests. We returned this year with our 9 year old in the hopes of providing her a magical experience for her first trip to Scotland and her first trip overseas. We were not disappointed in any way. We ended up in the same room that we stayed in 11 years ago, and it was just as charming, just as comfortable, and just as wonderful as we remembered it. The Glengorm staff were quiet and unobtrusive, but friendly and accommodating. Talking to the guests over a whisky or two in the library in the evening was, once again, a highlight.

But the real treat is access to the grounds and trails, and all of the wonderful walks through the fields and woods and out to the sea. Our daughter took a few minutes to get used to having to stepping around the Highland cow patties and sheep droppings, but once over that shock (she's a city kid) she was off and running. We hiked to the old cairn, to the bathing pool and old fortress, and all over the grounds.

Breakfast was wonderful. The whisky collection in the library generous, and the atmosphere was perfect. We were able to get into and out of Tobermory easily for some shopping and dinners. Be sure to hit Mull Pottery on your way though.

I wish we could've had a longer stay this time, but we had a ferry to Barra to catch (also highly recommended). But we'll certainly be back to Glengorm again the next time we're in Scotland.

This is a beautifully ornate castle/country house in a remote part of a remote island. The setting is superb, and we were indeed fortunate in having fabulous sunny weather. The room was very comfortable, great views, and our breakfast was excellent. If there is a down side it is the lack of evening dining facilities in a place 5 miles from Tobermory along a narrow, winding road.

If we visit Scotland again, we would absolutely want to return to the Isle of Mull and Glengorm Castle. Glengorm is a magical, welcoming hotel nestled on beautiful rolling greens with views of the water. We loved taking morning walks (don't miss the standing stones), enjoying a delicious breakfast, watching the sunset and sipping on a "wee dram" in the library.

The perfect place for a relaxing weekend away from it all. It is a bit off the beaten track so having a car is advisable. Loved every minute of our stay and can't recommend it highly enough. The local coffee shop is perfect for lunch but the breakfasts at the hotel and wonderful - the scrambled eggs and smoked trout is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and if you are a whisky lover you are in for a treat - a complimentary tasting menu is provided by the owners!

Our room had the most amazing sea views. It was cosy and of a very high standard. Wifi doesn't reach the rooms (bliss!!) but if you can't live without it, it is available in the lounge and library!

We had a perfect weekend and look forward to returning soon

The castle is set in a beautiful location with stunning sea views, yes, it is a little isolated, but that lends to the fantastic night views, millions of stars!!. The Ardmore room, was lovely, clean, spacious and quiet with great views. Breakfast was wonderfully cooked with a great choice to be had. The whiskey room is a brilliant idea, try upto 17/18 different malt whiskey's while your visiting Glengorm. All the staff are very friendly and us feel part of the family. Although the setting is very grand, the atmosphere is very homely and you are certainly made to feel very welcome. The one drawback, they don't do evening meals, so the trip to Tobermory is required in the evening, 7 miles of narrow road or taxi at around £30 for a return ride. But the place is worth it.

I think a good addition might be bottled water in the rooms as we could not get the water in the tap to run cold. Also we were a bit disappointed in the quality of the coffee. However the staff were happy to take it back and make it a bit stronger for us!

It would be hard to beat the experience of waking up to that wonderful view, and going down to a fine breakfast in the stately dining room. Superb location for hiking along the coast and inland. I only wish we had known there is also a squash court onsite (cleverly hidden in an old barn), as we would definitely have played. Will do that next time.

Glemgorn Castle is located on a perfect location, quiet, nice surroundings... and also the Castle itself is great. Reduced number of guest is also a garantee of quietnes, and makes it a very recomendable place to stay during holidays in ScotlandThe only "but", to say something, are some small details of lack of maintenance in the room and toilet. For example, towels are old and with ripped edges, etc. Details that if solved woulg improve significantly the quality.

We very much enjoyed our week's stay at this lovely castle on coast of Mull. Breakfasts were always delicious and hearty.
The young man acting as host in the owners absence was very helpful and welcoming. Our only criticism would be the lack of hanging space in the bedroom, and the bathroom furniture was rather shabby. We visited the coffee shop and could recommend it to anyone.

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Our only wish is that we skipped Skye and stayed longer on Mull. The sweeping views from the room were the best part. The breakfast was exceptional and staff were very accommodating. Having a library with fireplace and scotch was a very nice bonus as well. We will be returning as soon as we can!

It was a true fairytale experience.
The atmosphere, the location, the decor. I felt like I was in Downton Abbey in the early 1900's.
Pam was extremely nice and helpful as well as all the other staff.
We took a walking tour on the estate- just beautiful. A must for everyone.
We're only sorry that we didn't stay for longer.
I highly recommend to stay there.
One point that is that I felt that the bed was way too soft and a bit small for a couple.

We just finished staying at Glengorm for one night, unfortunately as we would have preferred to spend a few days but they were full. So a word of caution book a day or two longer than you planned as once you get there you will not want to leave. The hotel, grounds and views are nothing but amazing. The owners were available at all times and really went out of their way to make our stay nice. The hotel’s location is very convenient to everything in Tobermory
This is a must stay on the Isle of Mull.

This room has a fantastic view and every comfort. This is a very warm house with plenty to do on the estate itself but bear in mind the need to drive a long narrow twisty road to get an evening meal, so better to go in summer time, Lovely rooms to sit in downstairs. Really good place to stay if you like solitude and sea views.

We wish we could have stayed longer! We loved the castle. Owners were very accommodating. The tower rooms are very spacious. The view from the bathtub is amazing! Ardmore room is large and well furnished. Bathroom faucet is a bit wobbly. Mattresses are very firm, but that seems to be the norm in U.K. Large choice of breakfast items; it was delicious!

We stayed at Glengorm for 3 nights in May. The castle itself is spectacular and set in beautiful surroundings, with brilliant views out to the North and West which provide excellent sunsets.
The room was medium sized with a large bathroom, hanging space for clothes was modest.
The facilities in the room were good and the bath/shower was lovely.
The breakfasts were truly splendid and the range of jams and marmalades extensive.
The lounge, study, and dining rooms were well furnished and welcoming.
The selection of complementary whiskies available was great and a good way to meet other visitors.
The grounds are impressive with lots of walks to the sea with numerous old monuments to visit.
Our room was not made up one day for some strange reason as there are only 5 rooms to cater for, the next day "normal" service had been resumed.

This place is worth every penny (or pound!) The hospitality is excellent and the ambiance is awesome. We went to sleep at night with the wind whistling through the windows and awoke each morning to the sound of sheep. The view from our room of the green field of sheep and the water lapping at the shore was an experience in and of itself. We would definitely stay here again (and longer than two nights next time) and would encourage, no URGE, any visitors to Mull to consider this experience!

A beautiful place for relaxation. This room was a little small, but had an entrance hall and separate full bathroom. Breakfast was very good with a great choice We had American visitors with us so the whisky tasting in the Lounge was a big hit. It was just as you would expect a castle to be (brought up-to-date with empathy). One hiccup in room servicing did not spoil our visit and would never deter me from a repeat visit. It was satisfactorily dealt with by the Receptionist. A lovely visit.

We breathed in the view every second of our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed the feeling of having the whole castle to ourselves, and all the wisky in the library.
The company of the 2 darling dogs was an extra unexpected luxury.
The staff made us feel absolutely at home.

Staying at Glengorm Castle was like living in a fairytale. We would love to come back once. There was simply nothing that should have been different. The view, the room, the breakfast, the atmosphere, the sense of trust, the environment... , even a squash court hidden in a barn... It will be extremely difficult to get homesick at Glengorm Castle.

The castle as such is lovely and the views stunning but some minor things really bothered me. Well actually 2 things:
1) The pillows on the bed were just horrible. Stained and torn apart which truly gives the room an outdated feeling.
2) The chair in the room was also old, dirty and broken so the effect was the same.

So with little investment, it would be possible to improve the look of the room significantly.

As a surprise for my wife on our 30th wedding anniversary I decided to book a short break in Scotland. As neither of us had
been to Scotland before I researched a little on the Internet and booked a visit to Mull, Tiree, Fort William and Edinburgh. I
loved the romantic sound of spending our anniversary night in a Scottish Castle, but when booking over the Internet you can
never be too sure with the outcome. I can only say we were delighted. The idyllic setting of this castle looking out over the
Inner Hebrides with swathes of green fields was beautiful. On arrival we received a warm welcome from the friendly staff who
very quickly gave us directions and advice on all the various walks and a list of must-do things during our short stay. We
stayed in a comfortable four poster bed overlooking the sea, where sleep was automatic. I must recommend the wonderful full
breakfast, all with locally produced items followed by fresh bread and home made jams and marmalade. I would be pleased to
recommend this hotel to all my family and friends and hope to visit it again on my next Scottish holiday.

We enjoyed, and will fondly remember, the unique experience of staying at this impressive, peaceful B&B in a lovely part of the beautiful Isle of Mull, with a long list of splendid qualities... grand architecture, glorious views across ancient lawns out to sea, lots of fresh air, inspiring walks, exceptional wildlife (we caught a glimpse of a sea eagle), delicious breakfasts and friendly staff.

Our rooms, Ardmore and Torr, were spacious, the beds comfortable, and the hot water plentiful. Relaxing in front of an open fire with a book and the owner's well-behaved dogs at our side turned a rainy afternoon into an unexpected pleasure; and early morning runs up and down car-free lanes were invigorating, even in the rain. We also had fun sampling whisky in the library.

While Torr does not have sea views, the outlook is wonderfully green. Also, this bedroom is not en-suite; however, the bathroom was reserved for our use and it was only a few steps away.

We hope to return, either to the castle itself or to a self-catering property on the estate.

As preparing our holidays,I wished, that your "house" would be only half as beautiful as the pictures were showing.
What a surprise! Never been to such a location in combination with such a scenery !!! Approaching your castle you could feel, that you are moving into a different world. "Our Ardmore Suite" fits in perfectly. THE VIEW , the sunset , the silence , no traffic , dogs running around free as they want to , .................. After a short time you can feel, that you are only a small part of the place you are staying at, right in the middle of cattles, sheeps, the sea, woods and green fields. You know, what I`m talking about. We have been to some castle hotels in scotland before, but your`s is the best of all. I told and wrote my wife, that we have to go here some days. As I wrote in your diary : May be the best place to settle down and die. Well, I hope, that we will manage to visit Glengorm Castle some times, before moving forever. Now, enough of philosophy. We had an unforgetable stay in your castle and hope, that you are able to keep it like it is. Thanks to Helen and her workmate (forgot her name). Anton Landsberg germany P.S. I cant recommend your castle. The only reason is, that we have a better shot at free vacancies, when we want to come again, then ! All the best and kind Regards

Spectacular setting and was lucky enough to watch the concert given by the string payers of the Friends of mull festival. Accomodation was very confortable and owners very chilled and helpful. I would definately go back. The only improvement that could be made is for there to be some provision for evening meals as otherwise you have to plan your day to eat in tobermory before driving to glengorm, even something simple like a 'help yourself buffet' and a glass of wine would just give a focus to spening the evening there.

Everything about our stay at Glengorm was wonderful including traveling there on a one track road! The "castle" is stunning inside and out and the view looking out onto the water with sheep grazing is travel guide worthy. The owners, Marjorie and Tom are fully committed to making their guests visit a memorable one including Scotch to sample in one of their drawing rooms. As an FYI, Glengorm is a bed and breakfast so be sure to have eaten before your arrival as it does take time to travel back to Tobermory for dinner. Thank you for making our visit to Skye a very special one.

The view from Glengorm Castle is incomparable! The castle is located at the end of the road overlooking a large pasture and the ocean. We enjoyed hiking to the historical sites on the property and down to the ocean. In the evening the library was a perfect place to visit as a family. The lovely paneling and cozy furniture allowed us to feel like we were in the best location ever! Breakfast the next morning overlooking the pastures, sitting at a table older than the castle itself, is a memory we will cherish.

Ardmore is stunning, complete with a marshmallow bed I didn't want to get out of and views to die for - even from the bathroom! A brilliant holiday.

We had a relaxing stay and were made most welcome.
It was like being part of the family, or guests of the family.
Breakfast was delicious and informal.

What a unique place, nothing like it in the world! Enjoy the Luxery of a Castle with the warmth and feel of a first class B&B and you have Glengorm! Rooms are up to date with every possible comfort but the real joy is outside with the view and location. Staff could not have been better, felt like my Uncle owned the Castle rather than my being a paying guest. If you ever dreamed of staying in a beautiful Scottish Castle or even thought of it, come to Glengorm and enjoy your stay. This was our second stay and we will be back, perhaps the best endorsement I can make!

We stayed for 2 nights in 2 rooms in the middle of February. Ardmore had spectacular views and together with the connecting space to the ensuite bathroom was like a small suite full of charm. The last day was very windy and the room received the wind as a whip, as it faces the ocean, making the windows rattle a bit. There were not perfectly tight, but with the curtains the room remained warm. A very enjoyable and unique stay overall, with plenty of space and time to enjoy with the 3 year old who was with us.
