Situated next to Crannach it has views over the walled garden, lawn and forest. It has a 6’ x 6’ bed which can be made either as a double or a twin.

Torr has a private bathroom situated just outside the bedroom door and has one of the deepest baths in the castle.

An idyllic stay

Absolutely wonderful in every way!! The Castle was charming, property is incredible, the art work amazing, food fresh and delicious, big comfortable rooms, loved the bed linens and fluffy towels. To roam the property was so picture perfect and of course helped that every day we had blue skies. The staff was very friendly, personable and helpful...wish I could live there, three nights was not enough!

ps The whisky bar was a bonus

Beautiful accommodation in the castle. Loved it's grandeur. Enjoyed sitting in front of the open fire with our complimentary whiskey's. Our room was very cosy and beautifully decorated. Probably the most comfortable bed we've ever stayed in. Would love to return someday.

A great place to stay, shame that there is no evening meal.
We had the room without en suite but the bathroom was close and private.

Glengorm Castle is an idyllic place to relax and unwind. As you drive up the driveway you are met by it’s imposing stature with a stunning backdrop of sea and rugged landscape. Our room was even better than expected, decorated beautifully with elegant furniture and a very comfortable bed. Our daughter slept on an overnight bed and said it was like sleeping on a cloud. Breakfast was delicious and the evenings by the fire were what dreams are made of. A very much loved family home where you feel very welcome. Every room is just perfect. We will certainly be back and only wish we had stayed longer this time.

Couldn't quite believe we stayed in a real Castle! The place was beautiful, peaceful and very relaxing. The room was wonderful - really felt like we were staying in a friend's house, felt very welcomed. Would most definitely stay again. I loved the bathroom - lots of room and a huge bath.

The only downside for me was the duvet - far too warm and there wasn't an alternative in the room and too late in the evening to ask for one. I will remember for next time.

Our stay at Glengorm castle was perfect in every way.
The location the drive to and from their grounds was breathtaking.
The Castle was unique it had a very chilled atmosphere and the people who looked after us and the family who owned it where marvellous.
The room we stayed in Torr was spacious and clean.
We had a beautiful separate spacious bathroom just up the hall.
We absolutely loved our stay and we will be back for sure.

My daughter and I both said that Our 3 day stay at Glengorm castle and seeing dolphins were the highlight of 2021. This is a ravishingly beautiful spot, with gorgeous decor, wonderful breakfasts, prepared by the owner. We were made to feel immediately at home and truly felt like guests at Gelndorm. Our experience surpassed all expectations. Thank you so much to Marjorie and her team.

We were so pleased to have had the chance to stay at Glengorm. Spacious, comfortable and very well furnished common space for guests. My 14 year old son was delighted to play snooker whilst we surveyed the view and sipped a whisky. All staff were very pleasant, upbeat and professional. The room was lovely, again with views of the countrside and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Of course the coffee was good and the breakfast from local suppliers just right. The bath was the deepest and longest we have experienced. I wish we had stayed longer.

We stayed as a family with older teenagers in 2 rooms and felt totally welcomed and spoiled! The location is spectacular although a little way from town. Views amazing and lovely walks to sea. Boys loved the snooker table and we the space to relax and admire the sunset. I just loved the decor/ wallpapers and fabrics to complement the interior. Def a WOW stay!!

Set about 15-minutes drive from picturesque Tobermory, this place was an ideal short getaway. The rooms were very comfortable and the common areas with games room and library (with complimentary single malt whiskies) an ideal places to meet other guests at the end of the day. Breathtaking scenery with beautiful sunsets and views of the distant Cuillin Mountains on Skye and even the Outer Hebrides made this a great place to relax and forget about city life.
The estate is large and there are some lovely walks from the castle to be had. And not forgetting the great quality breakfasts and the very friendly and welcoming staff!
Wholly recommended.

Loved the location and the laid back ambience of the castle, very much like a home stay rather than an inpersonal hotel. So much space to really enjoy and we just didn't have time to really relax into staying so we hope to be back for more nights next time.

We stayed for three nights in October as a base to explore Mull, at the end of a fortnights holiday in Scotland.
We thought it might be nice to experience 'castle' living as a treat. We were not disappointed.
The room and separate bathroom are spacious and include everything one might need for a very comfortable stay, including very generously stocked welcome tray and toiletries. There are lovely views over the grounds and beyond from the bedroom and glimpses of the coast and sea from the bathroom.
The four public rooms on the ground floor are sumptuously furnished and include an eclectic collection of art and other decorative items adding to the fantastic atmosphere.
A roaring fire was lit each evening in the main hall and we enjoyed the complimentary 'wee dram' from the library - feeling very special, with our dogs stretched out in front of the hearth.
Breakfast was superb, served again with a roaring fire and fantastic panoramic sea views.
The welcome and service throughout our stay, was second to none and we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Glengorm Castle B&B. Thank you.

Right from the moment I walk in the front door, I felt at home and the feeling continued throughout the three days...wish it was more. I will return no matter the adventure to get there.

At first awareness of the standing stones being on the 6000 acre property (yes, 6000 acres) and after luggage was stored, the stones beckoned me to visit them. With camera in hand, I photographed them and many other areas on the property.

Even though I was with others, I took the time to explore the grounds and trails of Glengorm. The beauty is natural and yet some of it purposed for the animals that reside there. Surprises appeared...taught my daughter how to play pool and the whisky tasting was new for me. Even though I don't drink much, it was fun to read the whiskey journal comments and sip the different scotch whiskies.

At Glengorm, I got to chat with the other guests which was enjoyable and relaxed.

Enjoyed the breakfast very much and the Stables nearby (a short walk) was great for the other meals.

If you feel the draw, stay at Glengorm for at least two nights. Someone highly recommended it to me and that is why I booked it.

A fantastic place to stay, a beautiful castle with so much to enjoy. The surrounding area is lovely, with walks all around the estate. The castle itself is a lovely place to stay, it's original features, large and grand staircase to the rooms is great.
Our room Torr is the only room without ensuit, it does have its own private bathroom just outside the room which is no issue at all, in fact the bathroom is probably larger than the ensuite! The price does reflect this being a little less.
The quality of the bathroom towels etc was excellent, and everything was clean and fresh.
The room was large, clean and each day the room was serviced which is rather nice in a B&B. Tea and coffee facilities were very good, as was a new TV, although we didn't use it as so much to do.
Breakfast and the dinning room were a delight, plenty of choice, and the quality was really good, and it's freshly cooked to order. Sitting in the any window gives you a wonderful view over the estate to the sea, a unique place to sit.
We so enjoyed the opportunity to have a wee dram of single malt each evening with the complementary selection provided, a really lovely touch. No better way to wind down after a busy day, supper in town then a relax looking over the view to the sea with a single malt.
The staff were also really warm and freindly, one could see they enjoyed working at the castle.
Sadly we didn't have enough time to use the cafe, which looked equally good.
We will be back in the future.

Excellent stay at Glengorm.
Beautiful bedroom and social areas downstairs. Great breakfast provided. Great location with great walks.
Only thing that we would have changed would have been the temperature - heating was on perhaps a bit too much so we were slightly too warm all the time.

It's all very well to judge a hotel when everything goes well but they show their true colours when something goes wrong and how they handle it. A mistake of my own making, they were expecting us the day before! Pam who greeted us could not have been more helpful and charming and was trying to think of every which way to help us even though the castle was full. We would have had a bed somewhere but in the end we were saved by a last minute cancellation. However, it was their attitude to the problem that made them stand out. We had a wonderful walk to the cliff tops and a very good night (they even have dog-friendly rooms) the only downside was having to go back in to Tobermory for supper though we actually had a fabulous supper at Cafe Fish.
Thank you!

Stayed her for 2 nights! What they fail to tell you is to get food in the evening is at least a 5 mile drive or £20 taxi ride, beautiful location but not what I expected when staying in a castle! Also didn’t expect to be meeted by a tattooed Manchester person who had only been these a few weeks!

I could not recommend Glengorm highly enough. The room was huge and beautifully appointed, and the separate bathroom was excellent. The castle is stunning, and having access to the lounge and whisky collection was a very special treat, especially with the fire roaring inside, and the wind roaring outside. Roaming the extensive property was definitely a highlight of the trip - the scenery was unparalleled!

Glengorm castle is certainly a wonderful place for a short stay! Our room was really clean and definitely had a castle 'feel' in the way it is decorated. The staff are very attentive & terrific hosts, we felt well looked after! We loved the location - we took a couple of short walks through the paddocks towards the water. It is truly wild and beautiful at the same time. Breakfast was a sumptuous feast & most enjoyable with a view of the coast.

We stayed one night at Glengorm (though I would recommend at least two to enjoy an excursion, the café and other amenities on the property). This was a very comfortable space and a nice treat on our trip to Scotland! The room was excellent. The common spaces were welcoming. There was a wide range of breakfast options- we enjoyed our selection prepared fresh. Thank you for the hospitality.

The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating and I can't thank them enough for all they did during my stay.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The castle is beautifully decorated with interesting living rooms and bedrooms that are luxurious and inviting. The setting of the castle on the hill is exceptional with magnificent views. I enjoyed my walks on the grounds which are vast. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. This is a very special place!

We had a wonderful stay at the Glengorm Castle, from the exquisite decoration of the room and salons, to the warm welcoming of its personnel and its beautiful and peaceful surroundings.

We were particularly delighted by the beautiful rooms and numerous amenities at our disposal, which made us feel right at home while in a magnificent context. We very much enjoyed exploring the surroundings of the castle, overlooking the ocean.

What a wonderful place, I live near The Lake District and dint think there could be finer views. The views from the room and especially the breakfast room are nearly unbelievable they are so beautiful. You don't really need to leave the Glengorm there are so many nice walks and the staff make the stay perfect. the whole experience is truly wonderful

Glengorm is an unusual destination - outstanding (castle-type) ambience, beautiful position, amazing walks, a novelty whisky bar "on the house". A perfect getaway if you are wanting peace and quiet. The Torr room was comfortable and liveable even if the facilities were not en suite.

As you know there are several comments on Trip Advisor about the lack of dining facilities in the evening. It need only be a cold buffet or a nice stew and vegetables, kept warm, to make the evenings more memorable. Buying bread/cheese and a bootle of wine in one's room is hardly a five star experience! Eating in Tobermory and then driving back to the hotel is also a second rate option
I think you are short changing yourselves

I booked this room for my brother, and he found it comfortable and spacious. His bathroom was not en suite but he didn't have to share it. He enjoyed the breakfasts and the view from his room, which looked over the front lawn rather than the sea. He was also very complementary about the staff, who were very willing to answer questions. The only complaint is that it takes a while to get to Tobermory over single-track roads.

Being interested in walking, nature and birding, we had a most enjoyable stay. I gave comfort an 'ok' only because whilst we had a king size bed, it wasn't king size length and being tall I found my feet jammed up against the bed end. Fixed by lying a little diagonally, so not too bad. Using the shower required some training so as not to flood the bathroom.
Would recommend this property to anyone with similar interests in the outdoors. A great stay, thank you.

We spend one extraordinary night in the Glengorm castle: a perfect amazing room with all luxury services. We could enjoy the evening in the living-room with a large choice of whiskies!
A very good Scottish breakfast served on the morning to help us start a new day a visit.

When you arrive at the gate after several miles into the country, the castle is awesome !
You could think a old man will welcome you but in fact, a young, pleasant and dynamic guy welcome you. Your journey into the Glengorm Castle ans its history starts at this step.

Maybe the breakfast could be served quickly, at the same time, it is the rythme of the castle, rythme of holidays.

Thank you for all

Glengorm was a splurge for us and it was well worth it, we will be returning.
Location, location, location!
We did 2 walks with Kerry as well, well worth it.
The castle is fantastic. Great customer service, but it's unobtrusive. There when you arrive and there only when you need it.
Feels like home. (when no other guests are around (and there are never many since there's so much to do outdoors and there are 5 rooms) it feels like it is your own).

Glengorm is the reason to return to Mull for us.

So much to say......from our first welcome to the castle right up to when we reluctantly left, our short break was just wonderful. Comfy room, excellent breakfasts and got to taste a little of the complimentary whiskey too. Can't find any fault at all. This is a slice of Scotish heaven......and even the weather was fabulous. I just hope the owners don't feel a need to change anything as you can't put a price on friendliness and relaxation - great job everyone - we shall defiantly be making another visit.

We stayed in a party of five, and we couldn't have been welcomed more warmly. More like staying in a family home than a hotel. The staff and owners are so relaxed, and we felt instantly shilled in our new home with log fire burning and the well stocked whisky library (which we were encouraged to use liberally)! As this isn't a traditional hotel, there's no traditional service outwith breakfast periods although there are staff around, so if you want wine, nibbles etc, then bring it along. Rooms were gorgeous, and breakfast was lovely - the two castle sitters were there to cater for our every need. Weather wasn't great, but I imagine the views are excellent! There aren't many five star accommodations in the area, and for the price, Glengorm wins hands down. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I so hoped to be able to enjoy the stay for more than just one night - maybe next time.

Even so the reception was more than welcoming and we were lucky enough to have a quick walk around the grounds before nightfall and had a look at the standing stones, admired the marvellous view and enjoyed a cosy fire in the library.

Breakfast was delicious and only tiny flaw was that we forgot our Kilchoman souvenirs in our room.

Maybe we'll pick them up next year.

Tks for a wonderful evening, a good night's sleep and a great start into the day.

We booked the Torr room nearly 10 months prior to our visit, we were so excited to stay. The castle exceeded our expectations. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. It was a beautiful place but still felt comfortable. The grounds were great for walks and we spent all afternoon wandering around.

Thank you for everything!

A Great Clean Room with very comfy beds. In the Tor Room u got a little use of the Entrance Hall Wifi.
The Bathroom is only a few steps across the floor and got a clean comfy bathtub.

Theres enough Parking Places on the Facility.

The Breakfast is really delicious and u can choose from a card with warm meals.

The staff is more friendly than possible and creates a feeling like ur visiting good friends.

On the Facility you can discover so many animals, (little rabbits, sheeps, Highlandcows...) if u need more information about the wildlife visit the café next to the castle.

We definitly come again, but than for longer.

Thanks to the Team for 3 amazing days we will never forget :)

Glengorham is beautiful and special place. Hospitality and food was excellent. Wonderful walking paths and places to interact with this seaside estate. Pleasant suprise for the whiskey aficianado's in the library room. We will return again to this magic place.

I would have stayed for a lifetime. A very nice place with great facilities in a wonderful piece of nature. Torre was a perfect room with its nice separate bathroom. Breakfast was good. Complementary whisky in the libary combined with the view over fields and sea was a great pleasure.

We were travelling through Scotland for the first time and we loved our 2 night stay in Glengorm Castle.
We arrived late and Steve the Manager was there to welcome us and he was very friendly and helpful. he made us feel very welcome.
Our 8 old son loved the stay, it was the highlight of his Scotland visit. We enjoyed spending time in the library and tasting the whiskies which were complimentary. The views from the castle and walks in the estate were wonderful.
Breakfast was very good and served at the guest's convenient time.

Everything was excellent. We are planning to come and stay longer next year.

The tea room had delicious meals until 5. It would be great though if the tea room opened longer for guests who do not want to drive back to Tobermory for dinner. They were however very friendly and pack for us sandwiches which we ate in the room.

We really enjoyed the wonderful experience of staying at Glengorm. The road into the Castle; breakfasts; views; whiskey tastings in the evenings; room; cleanliness; and staff (especially Olivia) all combined to make us very relaxed - and now a few days later back in London wishing we were back in residence in the Castle.

Steve and his team were relaxed, very friendly and highly professional. The bedroom was very comfortable. Everything was very clean. Lots of choice for breakfast and the kippers were some of the best i have ever had.

The snug with a large selection of malt whiskeys to taste - free - and watch the sun set was a great idea.

The TV in the bedroom was small and the internet only really worked in the Hall but it was good enough to allow me to do some work and anyway we werent there to watch TV or Work.

We would definitely stay again.

This is a beautiful place to stay not far from Tobermory The Castle is so comfortable and the views take your breath away. Even if you don't do anything else but take walks on this beautiful property you will have had a great break away from the frantic pace of everyday living. The staff can't do enough for you to make sure of your comfort and are easily on hand should you need anything.
We were sorry to leave after our three night break.

Loved our stay at Glengorm. We, and our two border terriers, were made to feel very welcome from moment we arrived. We enjoyed chilling in library and lounge with the dogs especially where other guests enjoyed their company. The hotel hospitality is fantastic, relaxed, attentive. Castle atmosphere and location means you are happy just to be there and enjoy it for duration of your stay. Torr room very comfortable and bathroom is just outside and is also to an excellent standard. Many thanks guys we'll be back. Alistair, April, Baxter and Archie

Glengorm Castle was our most memorable stay in Scotlsnd. The castle is warm and welcoming in a besutiful countryside. You can look out over the rolling hills and the water. Breakfasts were delicious and made to rder.. It is an easy drive to Tobermoray for dinner. I would recommend Glengorm Castle to anyone staying on the zisle of Mull.

We stayed four nights in the Torr room . Extremely comfortable bed, good linen and pillows. The bathroom was separate but private. Would have appreciated a proper shower rather than a bath with a hand shower. Care was required not to spray water everywhere.
Breakfasts were good and the staff were lovely. It was an elegant place to stay and we enjoyed the fun of staying in a castle.

Our stay at Glengorm Castle was exceptional. We were made to feel like friends of the family. Our spacious room was warm and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the linens of the highest quality. The bathroom was luxurious, lovely toiletries, fluffy towels and robes. The view from the bathroom was unlike any you are likely to find elsewhere! The highlight for my husband was the whisky library where guests can sample a number of specialist whiskies and make their comments. Again outstanding views from this room. Finally the breakfast was superb, served by friendly local staff happy to answer questions about the lovely walks round the castle. Would definitely return!

A friend of mine and I stayed for one night only and we just loved it! The location is breathtaking, the friendliness of Steven, our host outstanding and our room and bathroom exceptional. You see, only superlatives. After the check-in we had tea and coffee in our room, ate bonbons and went for a stunning 2h walk along the sea, crossed sheep and lambs and took wonderful pictures. I'd go back rather today than tomorrow.

We had a wonderful overnight, and the owners and staff couldn't have been more welcoming. We walked to standing stones on the estate in the early evening, bought some local produce at the estate cafe and were given the use of the kitchen to prepare and heat up our dinner which save us a trip back into Tobermory. In the evening, we relaxed in the spacious library and sampled the taste of whisky from different areas of Scotland. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. All in all: excellent.

We were the only two people in the castle for the duration of our stay. Both Tom and Marjorie were extremely polite and helpful throughout the few days, not only upgrading our room but also offering us an extra free night in the castle should we end up stranded on Mull because of Storm Henry. We spent most of the time exploring the castle grounds on our own; there was already a guide book placed in our room with details for the various places we could eat at or walk to. We were lucky to still have quite a bit of sunshine even with the storm to see the sea and vase green fields (with sheep and highland cows)! The drive to the castle from the ferry was an interesting experience as well. While the views were gorgeous, the roads to Glengorm are single-tracked and can be a bit daunting to drive on at night when it's pitch black (especially with the heavy wind and rain that we had). As long as we drove slowly though, it was perfectly safe.

Overall, it was really a wonderful retreat away from our work and the city life; if only we had time to stay a few days longer. We'll definitely come back again.

We loved Glengorm so much!! Our room was gorgeous and ridiculously comfortable, we had the separate bathroom but it wasn't a problem at all, we wandered around for hours on the grounds and could have explored for days and days! Breakfast was delicious, even though I think the cook was a little disappointed that we only had porridge :) Wish we could have stayed for a week instead of one night!

Not only the hotel but also the surroundings are stunning and, above all, peaceful, something very valuable for the stressed out.

Good points: property , views, old castle magnificent
Bad points: our room had shower outside of room( we were told ahead of time) but there was no shower curtain, tub was rusted, only a hand held shower nozzle;
Also--all staff left after 5 pm;
Nobody to help bring your suitcases upstairs, location very remote with very poor lighting at night--need to drive 2 hours to get to dock at Iona or Staffa;
No food except for breakfast requiring you to go into town to eat. Town is only about 15 min away but at night very difficult to find the house

My stay at Glengorm Castle was magical. The room and public areas were clean, comfortable and elegant. The staff was helpful, and the full Scottish breakfast was delicious and just what I needed before a day of hiking on the remarkably beautiful estate. It was a bit challenging to be there without a car, but I managed just fine by having a large late lunch at the café.

Not the cheapest method to spent a night in B&B. But, in any case, the money worth! It is simply right everything, from the Castle about the staff up to the open fire, the library or the breakfast. One can move himself into the situation of the Dukes. Wonderfully!
You can taste some different Whiskys, you can go fishing, you can hike. And nearby there are some other methods of wildlife watching possible. Also the wonderful old fashioned bathroom! it is this what we wanted! And we have got it!

We loved having 2 nights at Glengorm Castle where the atmosphere was homely and welcoming. Our room was pretty, with tradition furnishings and we had a traditional adjoining bathroom. We enjoyed the relative isolation and saw this as a plus. The Whisky Library is a great idea! A fabulous breakfast was served in the dining room while it is a 10 minute drive into Tobermory for an evening meal.

I knew from the website that Glengorm castle looked wonderful, but I can't believe just how special our short stay turned out.

The castle is in an incredible location we were fortunate enough to see two of the most marvellous sunsets.

What you really can't get from a website is just the attention to detail to make guests' stays as pleasant as possible. The Nespresso machine and selection of different coffees in the room. The vast selection of interesting whisky in the library, the wonderful breakfasts with delicious ingredients, freshly squeezed orange juice,

I'm sure I will be back there. Hopefully sometime soon!

Glengorm Castle was magical. The two ratings of 'good' were due to no soap--bath or hand--in our bathroom, and very dusty baseboard in our room. We'll be back!

Our two nights at Glengorm Castle were the most magical of our entire 5 week journey through the UK. We knew when we were booking our trip that we wanted to splurge on a castle stay and I don't think we could have chosen a better location than the Isle of Mull. There was so much to see and do on the island which was completely unexpected when we were booking that upon arrival we immediately wished we were staying for a week!

THE CASTLE
The entrance hall, library and dinning hall are the perfect place to relax after hiking the estate. When we arrived (6:00 check in) there was a massive fire in the hearth of the main hall which was perfect for our frozen bones to thaw. We were then shown our room, bathroom and the various common areas throughout the castle. The library is the perfect place to curl up with a book and enjoy some of their complimentary whiskey! The views from the library are also spectacular and make you feel a world away. The dining hall for breakfast is extravagant, especially when dining at the main table. Their cereal and fruit bar is very extensive and the hot meal portion is absolutely delicious. The service staff at the castle are always there to help, but respect your privacy and are aware that many guests come to Glengorm to escape.

THE ROOM
We were in the Torr room which was absolutely stunning. The bed was a full down bed and the room was furnished in a light Victorian palette. A coffee and tea service was available in room along with tea biscuits as well. The bathroom, although not en suite, was just a small way down the hall (robes are provided) and was absolutely spectacular. I ended up spending at least an hour each night warming in the claw footed tub watching the rain and wind patter the bathroom window. The entire room and bathroom were impeccably clean upon our arrival.

THE GROUNDS
Glengorm estate is massive. My husband and I decided to do a small hike along the coast line which took us through sheep pastures, up craggy rocks, over rolling hills and even into a small bathing pool (although the water is ocean fed so it is very cold). There is so much to explore and do there is no way you could see the entire estate in one day. Lunch at their cafe is highly recommended with lovely fresh and local options. Just off of the estate you can find excellent attractions such as some abandoned ships on the coast, waterfalls, beaches, the small village and so much more! The estate also holds host to it's own circle of standing stones, a must see for those curious to Scottish Heritage.

Overall our experience was absolutely superb and we knew upon check out that we would most definitely be back as soon as possible!

Glengorm Castle is in a wonderful location though you need to drive a fair distance along narrow road to obtain an evening meal so better to go in the summer months. It is extremely warm and comfortable and one is very warmly received and looked after. There is plenty to do on site as regards walks and a wild life expert on hand to help.

I have a connection with Glengorm Castle as my father, grandfather and great grandfather spent time working and living on the Glengorm Castle Estate in the late 1890s and early 1900s.

From the time we drove up the drive to the castle, until we left; it was simply stunning.!!!!! Pam greeted us very warmly, made us feel very welcome. Our room was heavenly, and as for the bed, well: I have never had such a good nights sleep!! Attention to detail was fantastic, pre-empted all of our needs. The walks around the castle grounds gave stunning views as did all the rooms in the castle. Breakfast was exceptionally well done, produce either grown or sourced locally.. You can't go to Scotland and not stay in a castle, this one is a must for all who want to feel special and pampered, value +++++.

I could not have asked for a lovelier place to stay, and more gracious hosts. Heather was an absolute delight and took excellent care of us. The castle is simply beautiful and trekking across the extensive fields along the coast and castle grounds amongst the placid Highland cows and sheep was one of the highlights of our trip. We stayed longer than we originally planned so we wouldn't miss the full Scottish breakfast, and were so glad we did! The owner, Tom, was also very welcoming, though I only spoke with him briefly. I want to visit again and stay for at least a week! One night was not enough. And I wish I could have kept one of the pillows, the bed was heavenly. :)

Glengorm Castle should be confused with a hotel. We were borrowing a room in a family's home. The grounds provide a splendid setting looking north from the north shore of the Isle of Mull. A marvelous place to just kick back or explore the lovely estate and surrounding fields, shoreline and forests. We enjoyed our dawn tour to see or more so hear the call Red Deer Stags as the rutting season was beginning. It was interesting to hear and learn of the history of this 19th century castle.

We had a great time at Glengorm Castle - the landscape is absolutely beautiful. We spend 2 full days exploring the area and it was never boring although we didn't leave the Glengorm territory.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and service was excellent.
In the library a selection of good Single Malt Scotch Whisky waited to be tasted for free at the fireside.

Minor flaw was the rusty bottom of the bath tub and the rusty toilet brush. Also the toilet seat was not fixed and the cleaner hasn't been flushed down. One would expect better for the price.

The location has more than a little to do with it but our two-night stay was unforgettable. The staff were so friendly, the bedroom so spacious and comfortable and the breakfasts set us up for the day - and the marvelous Malts helped settle me down for the night. I am so glad that we found Glengorm Castle (courtesy of Fiona Duncan's review in the Telegraph in January). Would we stay again - yes we would - but book early; the place was fully booked.

We stayed at Glengorm in 2011 - we were hooked! Our second stay in 2014 was even more pleasant.
They have begun a wonderful nature scheme with a choice of walks through the estate led by a professional guide. You can choose your walk depending on your interest (i.e. birds, wildlife in general, history) and ability. These walks enhance your visit to the island tremendously.
The family who own the estate are hands-on and seem to manage every detail themselves. Their love and respect of Mull and their fellow residents is evident in part through the offering of local products, produce and art in the coffee/gift shop and art gallery.
The staff we encountered are very friendly yet professional. And extremely accommodating! The beds are very comfortable and the sheets are very high quality and pressed, which makes them feel even better. Breakfast is a delight; especially knowing that much of it is from the estate itself.
Ending your day with a complimentary Scotch from a large selection in the cozy drawing room in front of the fire is such a pleasurable treat.Yes, we'll be back.

We especially enjoyed the breakfast with kippers and haddock.
We also enjoyed on the generosity of tasting all the whiskies. This was very interesting and also important for our journey (we visited afterwards two distilleries).
The availability of Wi-Fi is poor, but this was not so important to us, we were on holiday.

Absolutely worth every pound. Incredible view, outstanding rooms, great environment and IT'S A CASTLE!
The service is excellent and the breakfast is regional food from local producers.
Whenever you look for a highlight for your vacation - Glengorm Castle will be your first choice for a stay.

The only thing to slightly criticise is the bath-tub for the Torr.room which could be in a better condition, even if it is historical.

Just stayed a couple of nights but superb - stunning location with views over to Coll, Outer Islands, Rhum and Ardnamurchan - weather was brilliant which really made the place magic. It is very much a home rather than a B&B and has a nice lived in feeling with really helpful staff and friendly owners. We took salads with us from Tobermory for the evening and so did not have to do the return trip to Tobermory (only 4 miles though) for an evening meal - plates and cutlery were provided on request - all very helpful. The whiskies in the library in the evening are a nice touch and there is a big fridge in the hall to keep stuff cold - very helpful given the castle's location. A walk with ranger Steph is well worth the money as she has a great range of knowledge and picked out a sea eagle which we would never have seen! Do not be put off by the fact that the Torr room looks over the rear lawn to the hills - the views are wonderful and all you have to do is walk round the castle to see the sea.

Glengorm Castle was the highlight of our 11 day trip thru the UK!! Tom was friendly and Salin (sp?) was so nice during breakfast. Triggy and Lexie (the 2 house dogs) greeted us when we first arrived. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and the beds soooo comfortable. The views from the castle were spectacular!! I highly suggest this place to stay.

We stayed for 2 nights in the middle of a winter week, and were lucky to enjoy the homely atmosphere of this secluded castle-home, as we were mostly alone. The owners, Tom and Marjorie, continue their independent life in the private part of the castle and give plenty of space to the guests, but are also easily accessible. The most welcoming room is the library, where you can light the fire and look at the sunset while reading or tasting a variety of whiskies. The sofas are a bit worn out, but it does fit with the feeling of the castle as a unique home more than a hotel. The breakfast is good and varied, with home jams, very good haddock or smoked trout available, and the dinning room is spectacular, with stunning views in good or bad weather. The service is for bed and breakfast only, so need to travel to Tobermory for other meals - 15 mins one way. Good opportunities for guided or free walks in the surrounding Glengorm state. Torr room was spacious, nice wooden pieces of furniture, and charming personalised details. Entrance, hill and Forrest views through big window. It was a bit cold, but central heating was being installed. Overall, a perfect setting to break away for a few days and excellent opportunity of tasting how country life in a mansion/castle may be - without the luxuries of service but with those of space and pace.

Glengorm is a wonderful blend of opulence and homeliness, mixed together with a couple of mad spaniels and a black cat with bling sparkly collar! We stayed in two different rooms, both of which were lovely and distinctive. The informal and relaxed atmosphere at Glengorm is charming - ring a bell upon arrival and one of the staff come to greet you - ring a bell after 6 and the castle owners will help you.

My boys are aged 7 and 10 and loved Glengorm. We flew kites on the lawn, took the owners spaniel for a walk though fields towards the sea cliffs (not sure if we were allowed but the spaniel was determined to come with us), walked to some standing stones - and then in the evenings I got to beat my oldest at chess in the library.
