Had a lovely stay at the cottage. Clear communication from the host from the start with instructions sent regarding check in etc, nice and easy to find and on such lovely grounds. Small issue on check in which was solved by the host instantly and kept us in the loop throughout. Will return!

Rose cottage was a very well presented, high quality accommodation, ideal for a peaceful getaway. We had limited time to explore the recommended walks and food / drink establishments that were described, but the cider made on the farm was a delight. Friendly helpful hosts. I would recommend to anyone.

Lovely cottage and a great hot tub! The master bedroom in particular is beautiful with stunning views. Would have been great to have had a couple of extra outdoor chairs as there were 4 of us in the cottage, but easily worked around! Any questions we had were answered really promptly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Lots of extras provided so less to bring.
Lovely secluded hot tub.

Unfortunately the cleanliness downstairs really let the cottage down, most notably, the kitchen bin which was filthy inside and had an awful smell. Some of the furnishings needed replacing, including the thin, lifeless cushions on the sofas. Upstairs was absolutely fine, very comfortable beds but each time we showered there was a leak into the entrance hall - we couldn’t work out which shower was causing it & the owners denied all knowledge. We would have loved to return but these issues really put us off. Not enough attention to detail!

We wanted to have a quite & tranquil break over the New Year and decided to book The Rose Cottage. It was nice and comfy for a family of four and was looked after, check-in was easy. We had a small issue with a water leak from behind the fridge and someone promptly attended the property to have a look.

The farm is in a very good location, not far from the main road but you don’t get disturbed by the traffic, good access to local amenities, there’s a Sainsbury, Costa Coffee nearby along with few other shops. Local take away's deliver at the property and the food is decent.

We loved the hot tub, it was all setup before we checked-in and the kids had an amazing time enjoying the hot tub in cold temperatures. Wish we had stayed longer!!

Firstly we are grateful to Liz that she allowed us to move our booking when our family came down with Covid.

The cottage was wonderful, there was a high standard of cleanliness and we were impressed with the amenities that the kitchen had.

The outside area was small but comfortable and had the sun on it in the morning. We used the BBQ which worked fine. The outdoor seating was limited but we brought camping chairs and a small table with us which worked well.

We enjoyed using the hot tub and it was very relaxing!

In general we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the farm which provided a much needed respite from everyday life.

We enjoyed the odd visit from Reg the border collie with a toy wanting to play- however he seemed well trained and respectful on approaching people which impressed me in case people are less comfortable around dogs (we love them so the more dogs the better)!

We had a takeaway from Rajpoot restaurant which was great quality and we enjoyed a nice meal at the Hatch Inn.

I definitely recommend trying some of the cider made on site- the strawberry was my particular favourite.

Having been searching for accommodation for a while, I stumbled upon Rose Cottage and I'm so pleased I did. Communication with the owners was excellent and we were made to feel welcome even before we arrived! My wife and I stayed for four nights over the Easter break and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage, is well appointed, clean and very comfortable. Parking is plentiful and we found it's location peaceful and convenient for visiting nearby NT properties, walking and exploring the coast. A soak in the hot tub was an added perk in which to revive our aching muscles at the end of the day. All-in-all, we had a perfect get away and we would be happy to book here again. PS. Don't miss the opportunity to sample the delicious Cider made on the farm.

I stayed here with my husband and teenage son. The cottage was wonderful a dream. Just like in a winter movie. Kitchen was fully equipped beds cosy. Great Views from farm and cottage. Hot tub checked every morning, while we were In bed.

Lovely cottage with a fantastic hot tub, super clean, clear instructions were given beforehand and when at the cottage, which is great given the current situation.
The cottage itself was well stocked, clean, and comfortable. Hot tub was so lovely in the evening and the bedrooms were comfortable - a gorgeous retreat.

As a family of four adults, we found the cottage excellent, well furnished and the kitchen equipped with everything that could possibly be needed.
Elizabeth was such a charming host and made us feel really welcome.
However, the outside area by the barbecue was fenced off and there was no view whatsoever.
With no outside table and chairs, we couldn't prepare a meal and eat it outdoors.
This could be remedied by putting them outside the front of the cottage, with access through the gate beside the hot-tub.
A proper 'outdoors' experience, could then be achieved, without interfering with the neighbouring guests or the hosts.
We thoroughly recommend The Hatch, for sunday lunch, The Farmers Arms also, but not the Bird in Hand.
We found that the most friendly taxi service was TLC Taxis 01823 444444

Rose Cottage is a beautiful property attached to the main building in an idyllic rural setting. It’s located on a working farm with lovely views of the Somerset countryside. Everything is provided that you’re likely to need including a lovely hot tub and the owner is very friendly and helpful .

We booked rose cottage for a little mini honeymoon! It was absolutely perfect. The location was superb and I absolutely loved waking up to the cows having their morning stroll right past our bedroom window... living the dream really! The cottage was stunning and the hot tub was an added bonus. Great communication and checkin/our process. Very happy with everything and we will definitely be returning!
