A fantastic apartment in a great location. Mr and Mrs mcbride were brilliant We will definitely be back sooner rather than later
This was our second stay at Benmore. The first was in the Byre last October as there were 4 of us and a dog and this time in the Stable as just 2 of us and a dog. Both units almost mirror each other with furnishing, style and high quality living conditions. Beautiful setting and surroundings (set within a working farm) and only 10 mins drive from Dunoon. Kayren and Neil, the owners, are very friendly and helpful but at the same time give you privacy! As our son lives in Dunoon we are so glad that we have found somewhere to stay as we know that our visit to Scotland will be a regular occurrence...more
Excellent location, very relaxing weekend Stunning views very homely comfortable and well equipped lodge
Our party of 3 adults, 2 kids and a dog found this the perfect house for our holiday. We got the ferry from Gourock to Dunoon and were at the villa withing 10 mins drive. The house was lovely and the huge beautiful garden has great outdoor sitting areas, and garden gate access to promenade and shingle each. A short walk along the promenade to a kids playground, and easy walks to Town Centre amenities. We used Dunoon as a base to explore as far away as the Isle of Mull, Fort William and Killin although these are a long way to drive due to geography of West Scotland having to skirt lochs etc...more
Kayren and Neil were the perfect hosts. A friendly welcome greeting despite them having such busy lives. We were so impressed with Benmore Byre. The location was perfect for us...out the way, with plenty of space to feel free...very important with 3 small children. Fantastic views from the kitchen overlooking the cows and calves, a heron regularly dropping in. The trees and the hillside with all the wonderful colours reminding us all the time we were in Scotland. The rooms were spacious and the layout worked well, all the woodwork gave such a cosy quality feel to the place. Well located for ma...more
Well positioned and beautiful holiday cottage with views over Loch fyne. We stayed for a weekend and had adequate space for 6 adults without feeling like we were on top of each other. Lovely garden and all rooms clean and brightly decorated. Welcome pack was a lovely touch and we will definitely be returning!!
We enjoyed Rosemount very much,it could not have been in a better location for scenery and convenience .
We really enjoyed our holiday in Scotland. The Lamont Lodge we stayed in was lovely. We had everything that we needed. It was cosy and was good value for money. It was ideally located next to Puck's Glen and Loch Eck. Our host was on hand if we needed anything and was very friendly. Could not recommend more. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Wifi was advertised in information however once we got in it said it was patchy, but we couldn't get it at all. My partner is also very tall so bed was short for him
A very comfortable cottage, decorated and equipped to a very high standard, in a very quite location. Fantastic views across to Aran and Bute with the Kyles of Bute only a 15 minutes drive away. Just the place to go to get away for a quite relaxing holiday.
This was an excellent "find" because you never quite know, even with photos, what it will be like. The house was faultless, and the proprietor was delightful. We will be back.
Very nice stay ... comfortable with all amenities , beds were excellent ( very important as some properties we have stayed in the mattresses really needed replacing) shame it was only a short break
On arrival we were wonderfully surprised by the Christmas tree which had been set up for us! The pictures do not do this property justice, it is comfortable with great amenities, and in a fantastic location. The house was warm and there was loads of hot water. The bedrooms were comfortable and spotless. The interaction with the agent was excellent and we would definitely book again and recommend. Our only issue was with the stairs, the are quite slippy and as they are painted one colour we found it difficult to judge the edges. We traveled with our 74 year old mother and she could not...more
We had a great weekend loved the house and location would go back anytime. The weather was'nt great but did'nt put us off it at all.
An excellent cottage ideally located near to the loch and local amenities. A great games room for the kids to while away the evening or on those days when it rains!
Enjoyed a lovely relaxing stay at Inverfyne cottage. Very comfortable and homely, had everything we needed (even a piano!). Location excellent with enclosed, dog friendly garden. Would recommend visits to Loch Fyne brewery nearby and the Oystercatcher restaurant at Otterferry.
Excellent cottage in a great location. The elevated deck is the signature feature with great views over the Kyles of Bute and beyond. Kames is a great base to travel all around Argyll from with a well connected road and ferry network virtually on your doorstep. Portavadie, Otterferry, Puks Glen, Whistlefield Inn, Tarbert, Cairbaan and Crinan were all ticked off during our week and we're all worth the journeys, especially the Crinan Canal walk from Cairbaan to Crinan. After a busy day out of the cottage it is great to go along to the neighbouring Kames Hotel where the food and drink selection a...more
This was a lovely cottage with everything we needed and like a home away from home. Great for families
Beautiful house and decor, stunning scenery very close to town brilliant information pack and lots to do within an hours drive fantastic can't fault the place or the customer service looking forward to revisiting
We had a very nice stay at this cottage. The living room and the open kitchen made you really feel like home. The beds and the bathroom were very comfortable. The cottage is near a busy road but the backyard gives you all rest and beautiful flowers to enjoy and spent your time in it.
A lovely place to stay to relax and explore. The only little fault we could find and it's a little picky. is that there was not enough plates and cups, as when things where in the dishwasher from breakfast we ran out
This is a very clean, modern cottage in a great location - with red squirrels frequently feeding in the back garden!
Val ensures a very warm welcome for her guests with fresh flowers& goodies .The cottage has excellent facilities and is a convenient base for exploring the area..
Had a lovely stay. 3 large bedrooms, lovely sitting room with log burner, very well equipped kitchen and a lovely conservatory looking onto the garden. Handy for the local, hotel and scenery marvelous. Just wonderful.
A very relaxing and peaceful break ideal for a couple to stay. The lodge is situated on the lower level of the slope, so outlooking onto trees and the mountains (not looking out onto another lodge!). Very helpful owners. The only negative thing we found was that we had to wash some kitchen utensils as they had grease/remainders of food on them from previous users. Lots of lovely walks to do around the the lodge in the Argyll area.
A rough track, but well worth the journey. Loved the position and very comfortable. Hope to return one day.
Kintore is a great house to spend time in with plenty of space, board games, books and wifi. The pool table is a bonus! It's in a lovely peaceful setting with a beautiful view, just a short distance from Dunoon and we visited the cinema, shops and cafes there. Children cycled along the prom and in the local woods and we visited Rothesay.
Great wee find, perfect location u could hear a pin drop, the accomadation was lovely really clean with nice comfy beds, every mod con and nice and warm , great for walkers, night sky watchers, nature lovers and dogs, fantastic beach a few miles away with golden sands, would highly recommend a visit to this lodge and area.
Waterside Villa is absolutely beautiful. It is kitted out to a very high standard with everything you need. It is also spotlessly clean.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Loch View Lodge. Only down side was having to drive the long way round, over a very bumpy and pot holed road , as we had no access through the vehicle barriers within Hunters Quay.
This is a lovely apartment in a fantastic location in the centre of Dunoon. Comfortable and very roomy, it is absolutely ideal for a family of 4. The owners live downstairs and were hugely accommodating, allowing us to use the hosepipe to clean our bikes and also using the shed for storage. Would definitely recommend.
Nice house in a nice location and very helpful owners. Suited us perfectly. There are few maintenance issues needing sorted - the kitchen door cannot open to outside, we couldn't get the main oven to work (all the control dials numbers have been rubbed out) and the secondary oven makes a lot of noise.
Taigh Na Mara is a lovely 5 bedroom house in stunning location at Kames, Argyll. Well appointed, sleeps 10. Spacious house so we didn't feel cramped at all. Ratio of 4 bathrooms to 5 bedrooms worked well for us. Well equipped kitchen. Local grocery shopping 5 minute walk away. Beware of steep drop from both outside sitting areas- glass or metal balustrades would be ideal. Increasing safety without interrupting the fabulous views
My stay at the seabright apartment was excellent it has everything you need for your holiday, as for the location you could not get any better right on the seafront with stunning views, garden at the back of this property with the patio was nice and relaxing after the long walks with my dog, my only problem was having to leave though hopefully I will be back at some point
What a pleasure to spend five days in a real home. It makes a massive difference when find a place which is someone's home and not just a place for rent. The owners have obviously decided to leave all of their own beautiful and tasteful art lovely furniture and objects precious to them in the house and trust people they don't know to enjoy them for a few days. Excellent accommodation truly fully equipped with all you could possibly need for your stay. The view location and area simply spectacular. What an amazing few days. Thank you Cameron and Magy
We enjoyed tow nights in the secret coast lodge. The directions to find the lodge could have been made a clearer with a map as we arrived at the wrong lodge and tried to access, but then realised it wasnt the correct one. The timber decking in front and at the side lodge was very slippery when wet, so owners need to power wash it soon . also the floor coverings in the two bedrooms were of a sort of natural rush type matting ,and not very nice or easy to clean. There were plenty of DVD,s CD,s and Books and Games available, Better instrictions needed to switch satilite TV to DVD needed please...more
Lovely cottage and a lovely situation to explore Kilmartin and other beautiful places. The cottage itself was excellent apart from a rather 'dodgy' shower!!!!
I would rate our stay as excellent on all counts. We did have a couple of issues on arrival but as they were dealt with immediately the next day I can say we were very pleased with everything and we would be happy to use Clydeside Villa again in the future.
Spent a lovely weekend in this cabin .It has everything you need,it is in a nice location and I would definitely book it again.
Have visited and worked in Inveraray before but usually stayed in hotels . Booked the cottage last minute a wee bit pricey but it was a holiday weekend . Arrived Friday night got parked over he toad and access to key with no problems . Cottage was very clean and tidy . Good garden at back which was a sun trap . Log fire was an added bonus with lots of fuel readily available . The only gripe was that the cottage is single glazed and when the lorries pass outside during the night or early morning it is a wake up call .
alles nahezu perfekt, super toll, sehr sauber, neuwertige Einrichtung, gute neue technische Geräte, schöne Bäder.
I had an excellent week at Pier Cottage. Slight problem with electrics was sorted very quickly by owners. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone. I will certainly go back.
Great place apart from the 8 mile single road in which which you have to use to explore the area which is pretty awful
We spent a wonderful week in this peaceful location. Louden cottage was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for our stay. A beautiful outlook, with lots to do in the area. If you want to get away from it all to relax and reenergise, this is the place for you. A truly magical stay.
Ideal place to relax and connect with the world that most of us have forgotten. Where the air meets the sea let us hope that it stays that way and we can enjoy the colours of the country and the fresh air.
A lovely small house with outstanding view across the Firth of Clyde. The house was clean with plenty of towels and the WiFi worked well. The garden down to the water is just grass which is lovely. We enjoyed our stay there very much and were only driven home early due to the forcast of persistant rain. If I was allowed a couple of very very small comments I would have liked some kind of clothes hanging in the upstairs bedroom and a soap rack in the upstairs shower. But that is being a difficult customer.
Upper Ashwood South is in a lovely spot over looking Loch Fyne. We have stayed here a few times before and always found the flat to be clean, tidy and with all the facilities available to ensure you have a pleasant stay. We will definitely be staying here again.
Fantastic area had great weather,Lodge was good value, would gladly recommend and go back in the future.
Self contained and excellent ambience. We a family of five enjoyed our stay. The only small problem was with the main heating units which would come one only in late nights and go off early mornings. However they were other back up heaters in most of the rooms which did help out. The place overall was a beautiful place to live in with nearly everything one would need, from kitchen utensils to indoor games. We enjoyed our stay every bit. Thanks to the entire team that put things together.
A loveley, well equipped cottage! We found everything we needed for our short stay. The house is a good basis to explore the surroundings.
Overall the property was great, only let down by the bathroom and dodgy shower. Believe the bathroom and kitchen are being replaced so should be fine going forward.
One of four holiday cottages on a farm. Milk, eggs, shortbread & meringues as a welcome. Lots of lovely walks nearby.
We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights over the Easter weekend. On the whole it was a great apartment. The sitting room was lovely with great views and was comfortable and well furnished. The log burner was a bonus on what turned out to be a very wet and cold Easter Sunday. The beds were also very comfortable. The bedding smelled lovely!! Minor negatives were; The condition of the crockery- several items were chipped and would have been disposed off in our house. There were no instructions for anything- a must in a rented house. The steps to the apartment were quite steep and we had to p...more
Lovely location, stayed here twice before, clean comfortable lodge. Good facilities on site, lovely relaxing holiday.
Property very nice and clean with lots of the things you would normally have to take already provided e.g. Dishwasher tablets, washing powder etc. What let it down was the lack of instructions for things like freestat, how to play a DVD on play station. Confirmation provided on booking and a few days before was not up to date i.e. Wrong housekeeper contact, wrong place where instructions were to be found, no bag for glass as stated. Outside furniture not that comfortable for someone with mobility needs. No outside umbrella provided(would have been helpful on first sunny day). Hot tub was great...more
We had such a lovely holiday in this beautiful corner of Scotland, and the house ticked all the right boxes for our needs. It was spacious and comfortable and just a short walk to reach the little gem of Crinan below. Amazing sunsets over Jura from the house, and an amazing collection of interesting books!
First impressions on arrival weren't great the cottage looks a little tired from the outside black marks on walls ,weeds by front seating next to front door but inside was clean warm and comfortable welcome pack was a great touch and it had a homely feel to the cottage great location and good views ,great for the price
The accommodation was great for our family. It provided easy access to Dunoon and the surrounding areas. The rooms were really good and we felt rested from our stay. The beds were comfortable, the adults could enjoy the power shower, while the kids enjoyed having a TV in each of their rooms.
Lovely house Ian and David was very helpful from holiday meetings .TripAdvisor although very polite when speaking to them was very unorganised communication was poor when trying to sort changes to dates . The villa Benvue was s lovely house the gardens were nice. We had a lovely holiday
