The cottage was lovely. It was clean and well equipped. Brid was a fantastic hostess and looked after my elderly mum when we were out walking. This was our first trip to Ireland and it won't be our last.
Fabulous holiday home...fully equipped clean and modern...peaceful and tranquil location...true essence of the wild and wonderful west...perfect for kids and adults...amazing views...
We would really recommend this property which is very well presented with lovely touches such as candles, paintings, good quality sheets, kitchen with lots of delf and gadgets. the sitting room has a lovely view to the street and mountains. Clifden is great spot with really good bars and restaurants and the property is right in the centre of the town with own parking spot.
Well worth a stay .nice and quiet .nice welcome and well kitted out .would stay there again.10 out of 10
A most relaxing place to while away the day with views to soothe and make you smile. The house was very well equipped and Bernie very welcoming. Thank you Stella, Alan & Betty
We booked this accommodation because of the connemarathon en stayed here with two young children. After a long nightly journey from Dublin, the arrival was warm with home-made bread, wine and a filled refridgerator. The location was perfect in the middle of the centre. One, minor, detail could be the heating/cooling systems on the roof which might prevent you from opening the window during the night), however we did not find it very disturbing.
We have been going to Connemara for a number of years and this is without doubt the best house we have stayed in. The layout and standard of the house is top classt, it is like a home away from home. The location is excellent, between Clifden and Letterfrack. The views from the house, and the deck at the back are stunning - water and Connemara National Park. The owners are a pleasure to deal with, courteous and caring. I would highly recommend this house.
Excellent position, friendly people, large & comfy spaces, well suited for two families. Great deal price, really appreciated. Suggested!
We have just finished a holiday at Turbot cottage and had a great time there - we really didn't want to come home. The cottage is situated at the neck of the isthmus at Ardmore and the setting couldn't have been better, with a clear view out across a beautiful tranquil inlet on one side with the Atlantic ocean pounding away on the other. It is the very last house along a small boreen or laneway and, as a result, there is a sense of privacy not often found in such beautiful location. It has uninterrupted views across the dramatic Ardmore headland where we enjoyed early morning walk every day ...more
We enjoyed a super time at Seascape. The property is stunning with views to die for. Its close to Clifden but you have a great sense of being in the country - next stop America! Everything about the house was of a very high standard and all of the bedrooms we extremely comfortable. Thanks again. Philip.
We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful home. It was very comfortable including the beds. Like home from home. Owners were very helpful and kind.
The Art House is a beautiful, spotless home stocked with all the amenities you need during a holiday. The outdoor area is a huge added bonus to relax or eat a meal. We loved being able to walk to town. Michael was wonderful to deal with and very reposnsive. I highly recommend especially if you have children! We hope to be back again for a stay.
We had a holiday to remember in the this beautiful part of Co Galway. Our hosts Sheila and Michel were lovely - attentive, welcoming and friendly. The location is remote next to the water with stunning views of the mountains and surrounded by cows, Connemara ponies, donkeys and sheep but close to the pretty fishing village of Roundstone with its painted houses, seafood bars and stunning beaches with crystal clear waters for fabulous swimming (Dogs & Gorteen Bays). We had a ball - thank you Sheila and Michael.
Very good allround and lovely hospitallty from grainne simon and yvonne we love clifden glen and when the houses are done up they are super
Couldn't recommend Connemara Lettings enough after our stay. Yvonne and her team made the booking process easy and with plenty of information to ensure we made the most of our trip. The owner of the house was also extremely helpful and made checking in and out quick and hassle free. Seals Cove is in a fantastic location, especially for smaller kids I thought, as it is very short distance to two excellent beaches and a short drive into Clifden itself. I will be booking again in future as the fantastic customer service on offer makes booking with Connemara Lettings an easy decision
Delighted with our stay. Geraldine was a lovely host and very kind to our little boy as was her son. He loved seeing the chickens, horse and cow! The location is great as was the view of over to Inisboffin - especially the sunsets! We were very lucky with the weather and took advantage of the nearby beaches. Overall it was a great break and we would thoroughly recommend the house and the peaceful locality! thank you!
Joe and Marie were wonderful hosts who were always about when needed, but never intrusive on our stay. Fabulous property for 2 families holidaying together (11 people), lots of space and excellent facilities. centrally located for access to all the main Clare tourist attractions. Far enough out of Ennis for a proper quiet country break where the kids can play safely, yet only a 5-10 min drive into the center of town. Would highly recommend this property.
Very enjoyable stay........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
This perfect house in a perfect location has everything necessary for a wonderful relaxing holiday in Connemara. From its choice of colour scheme, to its space and comfort. From its up to date appliances and it's scenic views from every window and its proximity to beaches, I couldn't fault it. I would recommend this property without hesitation.
Superb location with stunning views right beside the sea. The house is large with picture windows looking out onto the sea. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. We spent Christmas there and when we arrived the house was decorated and the owner had put up a beautiful Christmas tree. He had also left logs and turf for the stove. So hepful and welcoming. Its a 10 minute walk to Cleggan village and about 15 minutes drive to Clifden. Highly recommend a visit.
Our stay at Derryinver House was wonderful. The views of the water were beautiful and could be seen from many places throughout the house. We enjoyed our short walk up to the village center and around the surrounding area. Marie and Charlie were always available to answer any questions we had. Thank you for the lovely accommodations.
Swims before breakfast, long walks along the beaches, football and golf with the young ones on the common area, fishing if you're into it...no need to drive the car unless extra supplies needed! Couldn't have loved it more. Super accommodation. Cosy and in the most perfect location. Thanks for everything!
The location is perfect for a West of Ireland break, with easy access to all of the Towns facilities. The apartment is within touching distance of the Leisure Centre and Theatre which both of the Children loved, and the hospitable atmosphere of the Station House Restaurant, Bar and music venue, none of which could be heard from the apartment. Parking available to all surrounding areas of the apartment and a two minute work to the centre of Town. We have already started making plans for next year. The customer service was second to none, and we felt part of the Connemara Lettings family by the ...more
We spent the first week of April staying at this amazing property. The house is beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could want. It is also warm and inviting considering we had some really cool days. The location is wonderful with a selection of beach walks literally on the doorstep and a lovely view of Bunowen Pier and Connemara ponies grazing in a paddock just outside the kitchen/diner. I would definitely recommend this property.
Excellent location . The apartment was so clean and fresh and very welcoming . Everything we needed was there . The only thing was if you have kids with buggies , there are lots of steps down to it which is difficult with babies . But out from that excellent . Will be back .
Dear Yvonne and Connemara Lettings team, we just returned home and the wonderful memories have not yet quite faded. Thank you VERY much for the "last minute" booking, the perfect stay, your kindness and the smooth transactions. We were quite happy to stay at 14 Clifden Glen and would always recommend it to other Clifden visitors, especially when travelling in a party of more people and with children. Thumbs up – in our case, that would make 12 of them ;-)
We stayed there three years ago and again this year . It's a fabulous elegantly appointed house with wonderful views. I hope to rent it again next year if it's available. Highly recommended. Michael Henderson
We absolutely loved the house, fab layout, location, bedding etc, and Connemara Lettings did a great job. Just a few small things - the toilets seem to clog quite easily, if that can't be fixed then a plunger would have been a great addition. And there were a few lights not working. And it would have been lovely if the bushes close to the house and outdoor table were well cut back to bring the garden into the house and into use more.
I stayed with a group at Capolla house, and found the house perfect for a get together. I did some baking and entertaining, the kitchen has everything you need (and a spotless oven), and the dining room is great for a group. The house is spotless, and overall very comfortable. It is a little walk from the town centre, which is a small negative if its very rainy.
Roisins House was a delight. We were a group of 2 families of 4 and there was ample space, perfect bedroom options (beds were SO comfy!) a great well equpped kitchen, and no issues for bathroom demand!. Even on a wet day we could all relax inside just enjoying the house. Did not want to come home.
The place is beautiful. The view, the peacefullness, as well as the cozy studio. We had a lovely stay, and kathleen, the owner and host is absolutly great. Most recommended.
Honeysuckle Lodge was my home for a month, along with other friends and family. We were super comfortable there and enjoyed the beautiful countryside as well as the leafy lane to town. The owner of the house was gracious and responded promptly to every query. A perfect place in a gorgeous part of Ireland.
Disappointed that most of the saucepans did not work on the induction hob and the pots that did work were of poor quality. Kitchen missing s number of items including orange squeezer. Houses were really nicely decorated and very clean, would return again but will need to bring a tumble dryer and pots and pans.
Beautiful location in a village with lovely people ! Lots of beaches and places to eat near by and the apartment was lovely modern and clean .
We visited the cottage with our son,his wife and three boys --age 10,9 and 1. The cottage was very comfortable and the accomodation was spacious and we were able to all enjoy the week together living there. The introduction book was easy to follow and we knew how everything worked and we were all pleased to have wifi. We were also delighted to have a stair gate as the little one would have spent all his time trying to climb the stairs ! The garden outside was great and the bigger boys had plenty of room to play football and run around. They were pleased to have horses in the field behind and...more
Truly a comfortable and wonderful house to rent for two weeks. The views from the living and dining room were beautiful and I didn't mind cooking in the big kitchen!
Great place to stay, very clean and central for touring Connemara. Great view of sunset from the house.
house is large with large bedrooms and other communal areas. 2 bathrooms plus three bedrooms with shower and one more shower room upstairs. lovely views from all bedrooms, and rooms downstairs. The dining area is suitable for 10+ people and the table extends to accommodate that number. (I contacted the owner to ask if it would seat 10 people and they said another table could be moved in but, as it turned out, there is no need once the central 'leaf' has been used.) The kitchen was 'tatty round the edges' but serviceable with trim coming off cupboards etc. The pots/pans/cutlery/glasses etc are ...more
This is a very nice place to stay in Clifden. Maybe the nicest. That being said, it is down a long, outdoor stair. Be aware of that if you have steamer trunks, barbells or other heavy travel gear. Likewise, the directions aren't intuitive. It can be hard to find, at least it was for us. It is well-appointed, utterly private, close to everywhere you want to be and has the best view in town. Did I mention Helen's pretty nice, too.
Aunty Bo's was a great house- so much space and really well equipped. We were a party of 4 adults and 5 kids staying for the week and the house worked really well for everyone. It's also very quiet so everyone managed to sleep well- no squeaky floor boards!! The location is great with lovely views and plenty of room in the garden. We would definitely like to have a repeat visit!
We found Whitethorn excellent value...Ideal family location ..only 3 miles from Cliften...house in great condition..very clean...our host was very helpful and hands on if we needed anything...highly recommended.
Atlantic View Lodge was a great place for our family while visiting Clifden and the surrounding area. The home is well appointed and was a nice set up for my husband and I and our 2 grown sons. We contacted Gosia to get the keys for the home. She was able to let us in the home a few hours early as our flight landed in Shannon at 6:15 am. We had one minor problem with the power in the laundry room. Gosia came over quickly to investigate. We let her know we were going to be out most of the day and when we returned the problem was fixed. The house is a short walk to town and a short drive ...more
Great house in a great location at the end of a quite cul de sac just a 4-5 minute walk to an excellent beach with some great snorkeling at the rocks on the way down to the beach . The house is very well laid out with excellent views out to sea from the living room windows. Beds were all very comfortable. The house has underfloor heating and was comfortable at all times. Plenty of hot water but showers tend to go cold if another hot tap or shower is turned on at the same time but once you know about it its fine. The kitchen has all mod cons and plenty of everything for a family of 5, the frid...more
The location of this property is perfect for the town. Access is easy to the main street, everything is within walking distance. The property has secure underground car parking which is a major benefit with parking in the town always difficult. The property is comfortable and spacious. Prefect for a small family who want a central location in Clifden. The property wasn't dirty but it certainly wasn't squeaky clean. This is my only criticism.
Great location in town centre. Clean and well appointed. Very comfortable beds. Customer service was excellent. We did have a small problem with the hot water and second shower but when reported Yvonne attended within 5 minutes! Thanks very much we had a very comfortable stay.
Beautiful cottage with stunning views. Very friendly helpfull owner. We spent a great week in fushia cottage with our 3 children. They loved petting the donkeys, playing on the beach at omey island. Very relaxing holiday. We were very lucky and had lots of sunny days. Great location for day trips. Glasslian beach, kylemore abbey, clifden, dogs and gurtern bay.
Some basic equipment needs updating*. WiFI is frustrating as it is an extension from main house and depends who is using it or how many persons are on it.Garbage/ bin collection needs more explanation. It would be helpful if there was a quick 'lady bird' information on very local beaches and how to get there, pubs* shops- might be helpful to foreign visitors? This is a very comfortable house. * descale kettle *a new ( Dyson , Hoover) needed- just to clean up!
Excellent, spacious property in a great location for touring Connemara. Property was clean, well maintained and great for our party of couples and kids. The property was also dog-friendly (which was the reason we picked this one).
We stayed here for a week from the August weekend. Loved the property, ideal location, great as a base for exploring the beautiful wild west! As Clifden is a very popular spot it could get very noisy at night time but that is to be expected when you are right on the main square, that is the trade-off. There were only two real issues with this property. First of all, not enough hot water. There only seemed to be hot water in the mornings and as we had a 3 year old, she has baths in the evening before bed (was also more convenient after a day at the beach) so there was a lot of running up and do...more
Excellent accommodation, excellent location, owners were very accomodating and friendly. Would recommend with no hesitation - I would book again if back in the future .
Dolan Cottage was an excellent house to stay in. It was very clean, all necessary household equipment was present and made our stay very comfortable. It was a warm, cosy house with excellent views. The owner, Jimmy Ridge, was very welcoming, he met us and brought us to the house and showed us around. He returned on the day we were leaving to thank us for renting his house. The house was centered between Roundstone village and Clifden. The beaches were fabulous, the food in local restaurants, Mitchell's in Clifden and the bakery, Walsh's in Clifden was gorgeous. Local people were very friendly...more
Excellent location, very helpful and friendly hosts. Lots of rooms, great space in kitchen and living area.
very nice, close to all amenities perfect for group weekends away, the rooms are spacious, kept very clean, it has what you want in terms or facilities, highly reconmend it
A lovely holiday rental in an ideal setting. Very comfortable and pretty well equipped. The Aga doesn't work which is a pity but there is a very serviceable gas cooker. Kitchen and utility room well equipped. Very nice bathrooms but the shower regulators need servicing. Large elegant bedrooms with very comfortable king size beds. Overall we were very happy at Heather Cottage and would love to return to this beautiful location.
A very nice house, an excellent location and what views! You're practically eating your breakfast two steps away from the horses.
Loved the location and the house. Will almost certainly return to same place. Only downside is 1 bathroom for larger groups sharing is difficult. Also one bed is a queen size - cramped for 2 adults. Otherwise best location I've ever stayed in!!!
House bigger than expected, loads of room, open fires, under floor heating, comfortable beds. Very remote but that's what we were wanting. Near to Keogh's pub which has lovely food and a garden for the kids to play in. Some beautiful beaches nearby with rockpools and golden sand. There was no washing machine which would've been handy. Also some of the bedside lamp plugs are 2-pin but were plugged into a normal plug socket which I think is a bit unsafe!
We really enjoyed our stay at Grace's Cottage. The house itself is in a fantastic location - a perched position looking out on Connemara National Park - fabulous unspoilt views. It's also close to the ferry to Inishboffin, which we made use of. It's a quiet remote rural location, which is a drive to the nearest shops or towns (4-5 km to Clifden or Letterfrack), but that suited us. The nearest beach (Ross Beach) was a 15-20 minute walk down quiet country roads with plenty to distract kids along the way - ponies, wild flowers, etc. The quiet roads are also perfect for an early morning ru...more
Very happy with our recent stay at this property. The house was lovely and an ideal location to the town. I would only say that if it is Triple Rooms that are booked there should be x3 beds in the bedroom to cater to this. Extra seating should also be provided to cater to numbers e.g. at breakfast/dinner etc. The starter pack provided was a lovely touch and made relevant to the reason for our stay. Maybe some extra keys to the front door as people were coming and going at different times. I would be very happy to stay at this house again in the future-great location. Thank you.
Wonderful time spent relaxing with our young family. Nothing was too much trouble for Olive the owner
We choose clifden as a base to visit all surrounding areas ,during our week we climbed diamond mountain ,visited inish boffin ,had great food and trad music in cleggan and cycled the sky road .we dined in clifden town most evenings which has a huge choice to pick from .A great enjobale holiday had by all
Lucy was very accommodating on our arrival. It's the perfect spot to rent with a group of friends with Clifden and it's local amenities close by. Some nice beaches not too far away too. Great value for money, extremely spacious and comfy house.
We were happy with the cottage in Spiddal and the owner was very welcoming .It was very comfortable and near shops and bars .
Great facilities at Glenbrikeen. My bin of turf was a very welcome addition as the weather wasn't great the first couple of days. The owner was very helpful directing us to the local beaches and restaurants.
The attention and care from the staff at the station house from check in to check out was just exceptional. The apartment was more like a house than an apartment there was one bedroom downstairs and two located upstairs. It was very spacious and safe, I've a 14 month old who was in her element exploring the place. Would highly recommend this great for families
une belle maison bien située avec une superbe vue et des prestations de qualité il a juste manque un peu de contact avec le proprietaire
Lovely house ,every thing one needs was available ,nice touch to have welcoming pack of tea/coffee bread ,milk and biscuits available
Great house, great location, brilliant views. Really clean - all you need. A real home from home. Very spacious & bright
The location was perfect for our family holiday in Connemara. The house was spacious and well equipped including decent wifi and having 2 television areas allowed for the kids to have their own area. We really enjoyed having the tennis courts and kids park in walking distance. Any questions we had were answered pleasantly and efficiently by the Connemara Lettings staff both via email, phone and on site.
Excellent location, first class, secure garden, walls and gates. Very spacious kitchen and dining area and comfortable and easy to keep sand free sitting room. Needs an update- better lighting, newer mattresses , newer bed linen and general updating. Fire alarm did not work and external door locks are rusty and hard to use.Could also benefit from a set of instructions on equipment, heating and water. The historical information on the Cleggan disaster were enlightening and appreciated. Overall though a fabulous location and definitely would use again.
Really enjoyed our stay .We had 4 children with us and there was plenty of room in the 3 bed apt.Great location in the heart of Cliften everywhere was just a short stroll away. The hotel and leisure centre being at our doorstep was a great advantage-helping to keep the kids busy despite the rain!
We enjoyed a wonderful week in Pauls house on the Sky Road. The house is fantastically spacious and is well equipped. We were a small bit disappointed that the house was a bit musty when we arrived but after leaving the doors and windows open for an hour ( and dashing into clifden to spend way too much on fancy candles from Whistlestop) all was well. Another small setback was that the downstairs bedroom was not made up and we didn't have sheets for that bed so we were squeezed into the upstairs room. However, the utterly magnificent setting glossed over any difficulties we had so that we ...more
In general we found the flat to be comfortable and pleasant to stay in. We loved our trip to Connemara and would definitely come back to the area. Things we liked: Excellent location in the town. Less than 5 mins walk to pubs and restaurants. Very quiet and felt safe. We never heard any noise from any other flats above or next door. Spacious, nicely decorated and furnished - standard of furniture is excellent. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of pans, plates, glasses etc. Very good shower - powerful and lots of hot water. Secure parking is a real bonus. Welcome pack was an une...more
House is as pictured, generally bright, spacious, nice views, very comfortable beds and couches etc. Plenty of good towels, Fantastic location, walk to beach or village etc., central for longer outings around Connemara. Generally quite clean, but we had to wipe down kitchen worktops, drawers etc and there was a really greasy worktop grill that we took one look at then put in a drawer out of our sight. A few small things would make it really 5 star and help justify the price: enough toilet rolls; a welcome pack; a few good quality board games etc.; more serving bowls, jugs, food containers et...more
Excellent location and great base for holidays. Just above Roundstone, walking distance from O'Dowds. Very family and kid friendly. Lots of parking space and incredible views.
The Old Schoolhouse is a charming old property that is perfect for a crowd. Each of the four very large bedrooms has it's own en suite which works perfectly with a large group. Bedrooms are large and airy with very comfortable matresses. The living area is fabulous with very high double height ceiling and large fireplace with log burner. The location is excellent and the town of Clifden has all that you may need with a large Supervalue. Connemara Lettings and Yvonne particularly are attentive and genuinely interested in guests having a positive experience. We had one or two issues that were...more
Pretty standard house - nothing special, but if you are not looking for anything special, then it is fine. We had a great week. Everything is there and works. Slightly pricey compared to a house we rented in Achill the week beforehand. The owner and the agency were very friendly and competent. The house is in the middle of a great area. The only disadvantage is that you need to get into the car to go anywhere. But I think this is the price to pay for the Ballyconeely peninsula. The road it is on is unpleasant to walk on, as it is a standard narrow windy west-of-Ireland road. But there is a LO...more
de Coursey's is a fine family home, perfect for a short stay. Well equipped kitchen, utility and playroom makes it very suitable for a family with children. Close to Roundstone village, it's within easy walking distance of everything you might need.
Great location and lovely house. Good views and con my new beds Great location for Roundstone Ballyconnelly Clifden etc
Coast guard cottages are ideal for a relaxing week by the sea. Great beach close by and close to golf club and other nice beaches.
We know this part of the west coast very well and love it. The Cottage is very homely and clean and the views are beautiful. For us the bedrooms were too small, we were a party of 5 adults, one room has three bunk beds in it! The master bedroom is small too. I think it would be better suited to a family with small children. We have rented many different cottages in the area and felt this was expensive in relation to others, paying a premium for the location I guess. But we did very much enjoy our stay.
