The place is located in a very nice location with view on the Atlantic. Sheila has been extremely welcoming and the cottage was in perfect condition. Only a short drive distance from astonishing spots in Connemara, you can also walk around in the beautiful area where the cottage is located.
This old country cottage is a hidden gem that we were delighted to have found. This house had all facilities required, and provided us with a sense of warmth. It was easy to get comfortable in this house, and though small we viewed it more so as cosy. All aspects of this home - from a beautiful location to a wonderful host - made our stay in Tí Tom Bán one we will never forget.
We really enjoyed our weekend away in claddaghduff. House had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.
A most relaxing place to while away the day with views to soothe and make you smile. The house was very well equipped and Bernie very welcoming. Thank you Stella, Alan & Betty
We booked this accommodation because of the connemarathon en stayed here with two young children. After a long nightly journey from Dublin, the arrival was warm with home-made bread, wine and a filled refridgerator. The location was perfect in the middle of the centre. One, minor, detail could be the heating/cooling systems on the roof which might prevent you from opening the window during the night), however we did not find it very disturbing.
We had a wonderful stay at Turbot cottage. It was everything we were hoping for and more. Barb and Reg were wonderful hosts. The cottage was beautiful and in great condition and had all the conveniences of home. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need to cook full meals. The views from the cottage were stunning and only steps away from the water. Only a 10 minute drive from Clifton. We highly recommend this cottage and would definitely stay here again if we were to return to this part of Ireland.
A very enjoyable stay. Good location. Very friendly and helpful owner. The house was spacious and very comfortable.
Excellent internet , great kitchen and lovely views this place is spectacular. Really pleasant for children and good location to get into Clifden. Amenities are done really well and great to have a drier and washing machine. Would definitely recommend this for a family or group for a holiday.
Flat E2 had everything that we required. The Welcome Pack that was provided on arrival ,was very much appreciated. It consisted of all the basic necessities required. The flat was conspicuously clean and was very comfortable. It was situated in an excellent location near the town centre . We had free access to all the facilities at the Station House Hotel.
We are just back from a very pleasant holiday in Clifden. We rented Dooneen which was a home away from home. The location could not have been better, a 5 minute walk from the gorgeous town of Clifden. The house itself is beautiful and had every amenity you could want, a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living areas and bedrooms. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who is travelling to the area.
Delighted with our stay. Geraldine was a lovely host and very kind to our little boy as was her son. He loved seeing the chickens, horse and cow! The location is great as was the view of over to Inisboffin - especially the sunsets! We were very lucky with the weather and took advantage of the nearby beaches. Overall it was a great break and we would thoroughly recommend the house and the peaceful locality! thank you!
We has a fabulous stay in the art house over the Easter break. The owner met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. The house is furnished to a very high standard and the outside area at the back was a great place for the children to play and for al fresco dining. We highly recommend this holiday home and will definitely be back.
Couldn't recommend Connemara Lettings enough after our stay. Yvonne and her team made the booking process easy and with plenty of information to ensure we made the most of our trip. The owner of the house was also extremely helpful and made checking in and out quick and hassle free. Seals Cove is in a fantastic location, especially for smaller kids I thought, as it is very short distance to two excellent beaches and a short drive into Clifden itself. I will be booking again in future as the fantastic customer service on offer makes booking with Connemara Lettings an easy decision
Superb location with stunning views right beside the sea. The house is large with picture windows looking out onto the sea. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. We spent Christmas there and when we arrived the house was decorated and the owner had put up a beautiful Christmas tree. He had also left logs and turf for the stove. So hepful and welcoming. Its a 10 minute walk to Cleggan village and about 15 minutes drive to Clifden. Highly recommend a visit.
We stayed there three years ago and again this year . It's a fabulous elegantly appointed house with wonderful views. I hope to rent it again next year if it's available. Highly recommended. Michael Henderson
A massive thank you for an excellent stay at Hill House. The house is absolutely beautiful and set in such a perfect location. All of the bedrooms are beautifully furnished with lots of home comforts. The kitchen was very well equipt and was where we spent the majority of our time. Doors opening out on to decking meant children could be inside and out and we felt very safe letting them play. The sitting room was very spacious and although not as comfortable as the rest of the house it provided everything we needed. The location of the house is excellent, although at the top of a very small but...more
Swims before breakfast, long walks along the beaches, football and golf with the young ones on the common area, fishing if you're into it...no need to drive the car unless extra supplies needed! Couldn't have loved it more. Super accommodation. Cosy and in the most perfect location. Thanks for everything!
This house is even nicer than it looks in the photos. The interior is in impeccable condition. The location is perfect, with stunning views and a beautiful beach, and within easy driving distance of several attractions like Inishbofin, Dog's Bay, Kylemore Abbey etc. Only small glitch was lack of wifi. I would definitely stay again.
Lovely quiet place with a beautiful beach a few mins away .Great space and well equipped it has all the basics for a family break.Close to shops , great fishing.
We spent the first week of April staying at this amazing property. The house is beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could want. It is also warm and inviting considering we had some really cool days. The location is wonderful with a selection of beach walks literally on the doorstep and a lovely view of Bunowen Pier and Connemara ponies grazing in a paddock just outside the kitchen/diner. I would definitely recommend this property.
House was roomy and very well equipped. Owners lived next door and were very helpful if we needed advice. House in good location, 10 mins stroll to town and good for local walks. Look forward to a return visit.
I stayed with a group at Capolla house, and found the house perfect for a get together. I did some baking and entertaining, the kitchen has everything you need (and a spotless oven), and the dining room is great for a group. The house is spotless, and overall very comfortable. It is a little walk from the town centre, which is a small negative if its very rainy.
Twelve of my family from USA and Australia stayed at Fort Lodge for two weeks from Saturday 25th June to Saturday 9th July 2016, to celebrate our 25th Anniversary Reunion. It was a dream home with every facility to make their stay memorable. The location provided privacy in idyllic surroundings with horses in the paddock and a little welcoming dog called Lady who endeared herself to all. We were welcomed by Joe, the Landlord, and his wife Marie, who left no stone unturned to ensure our stay was memorable. They were extremely friendly but always nonintrusive. Every request, including rearrang...more
Beautiful location in a village with lovely people ! Lots of beaches and places to eat near by and the apartment was lovely modern and clean .
Eerything you need for a comfortable stay. Great value for money. What a wonderful view from the windows or the outside seating. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting and watching the sea, clouds and birds.
Truly a comfortable and wonderful house to rent for two weeks. The views from the living and dining room were beautiful and I didn't mind cooking in the big kitchen!
We stayed in Roisins House for a week in June. The whole family together, it was the ideal house, layout was perfect for big family holiday. Bedrooms were clean, comfortable and homely, all the bedding and towels were lovely, good quality and soft. Everything in house you could possibly need. Had a big peat and log fire every night, amazing. The views were amazing, looking out over the hills and water, great garden for BBQ and children. Close enough to town to walk to if you enjoy walking, Clifden town is beautiful, great shopping, lovely restaurants and brilliant pubs, Guinness was great. ...more
Honeysuckle lodge is a great location being so close to Clifden. We were a party of 9. Adults & children & it suited all with amply parking etc,. Virtually a home from home
house is large with large bedrooms and other communal areas. 2 bathrooms plus three bedrooms with shower and one more shower room upstairs. lovely views from all bedrooms, and rooms downstairs. The dining area is suitable for 10+ people and the table extends to accommodate that number. (I contacted the owner to ask if it would seat 10 people and they said another table could be moved in but, as it turned out, there is no need once the central 'leaf' has been used.) The kitchen was 'tatty round the edges' but serviceable with trim coming off cupboards etc. The pots/pans/cutlery/glasses etc are ...more
We enjoyed our stay in this spacious apartment within the heart of town. It was quiet and well equipped. The upstairs living area was especially spacious and nicely furnished. One bedroom was of adequate size with a queen sized bed, the other bedroom a bit small with a smaller bed. Everything was clean and as indicated in the advertisement. It was nice to have adequate parking with easy access to the unit. We spent our days venturing out into the surrounding countryside, enjoying restaurants and trad music at the evenings in town.
Aunty Bo's is particularly suitable for families or groups with its large, open-plan living area and ample bedrooms and bathrooms. Light and airy throughout, picture windows frame Ardbear Bay and Errisbeg. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the laundry room extremely useful. Located close to Clifden but hidden away in a wooded seaside setting, this is a delightful place to stay,
A marvellous house in a marvellous location in a marvellous country! A marvellous house in a marvellous location in a marvellous country!
This is a very nice place to stay in Clifden. Maybe the nicest. That being said, it is down a long, outdoor stair. Be aware of that if you have steamer trunks, barbells or other heavy travel gear. Likewise, the directions aren't intuitive. It can be hard to find, at least it was for us. It is well-appointed, utterly private, close to everywhere you want to be and has the best view in town. Did I mention Helen's pretty nice, too.
We loved this beautiful cottage. It's in tip top condition, very well equipped, whither a lovely open turf fire. One very slight criticism was that the door of the fridge was dangerous and we all got a trapped, bruised and bloody finger from it.
Very enjoyable stay and house suited our needs perfectly. All mod cons and wifi. Would be very happy to stay here again.
Our facilities in Balon were top class. Location excellent..house in very good condition. .very clean ..and will definitely return in 2017...Yvonne in Connmeara lettings was excellent as was Dot our liason lady for our house. We are very happy to recommend this property.
Very happy with the week we spent at White Thorn. The house was very clean when we arrived, which was important for us, and it has great facilities - en suites, lovely kitchen, big TV, very spacious, games room for the kids. The only small issue was the DVD player upstairs was a bit hit and miss but in the big scheme of things, that was very minor.
Great location in town centre. Clean and well appointed. Very comfortable beds. Customer service was excellent. We did have a small problem with the hot water and second shower but when reported Yvonne attended within 5 minutes! Thanks very much we had a very comfortable stay.
Excellent accommodation, excellent location, owners were very accomodating and friendly. Would recommend with no hesitation - I would book again if back in the future .
We were a group of 12 Walkers from France Ballinakill lodge was ideal for such a party, quite modern with huge accommodation. It is well situated between Letterfrack and Clifden for shopping or driving either inland or to the coast. So we managed to visit all the sites we had selected: Killary Harbor ,Inishmore, Kylemore, Diamond Hill, Cong,Clifden Sky Road, Galway.Lovely weather , a wonderful holiday! P.S. The ladies in charge of cooking would have appreciate a second large stewpot with a lid and a few more bowls.Simple details.
House bigger than expected, loads of room, open fires, under floor heating, comfortable beds. Very remote but that's what we were wanting. Near to Keogh's pub which has lovely food and a garden for the kids to play in. Some beautiful beaches nearby with rockpools and golden sand. There was no washing machine which would've been handy. Also some of the bedside lamp plugs are 2-pin but were plugged into a normal plug socket which I think is a bit unsafe!
Beautiful views. Cottage over looking the bog. Perfect location & only a few miles from Clifden. The house is very spacious, bright & comfortable. Warm welcome from the owner Ann. We had a great time.
very nice, close to all amenities perfect for group weekends away, the rooms are spacious, kept very clean, it has what you want in terms or facilities, highly reconmend it
A lovely holiday rental in an ideal setting. Very comfortable and pretty well equipped. The Aga doesn't work which is a pity but there is a very serviceable gas cooker. Kitchen and utility room well equipped. Very nice bathrooms but the shower regulators need servicing. Large elegant bedrooms with very comfortable king size beds. Overall we were very happy at Heather Cottage and would love to return to this beautiful location.
Great location in the heart of the town.nice and bright. The outside terraces and outdoor furniture are maybe a bit tired. Also, there were a lot of cobwebs (we had to clean some before our friends arrived) but the property was clean otherwise.
A very nice house, an excellent location and what views! You're practically eating your breakfast two steps away from the horses.
Very quiet location, good for people who want slow down. Nice view to sea. Closed to Cleggan where you can take the ferry to the islands nearby. We had a unforgetable trip to Inishbofin with perfect weather. Good location to explore Connemary. Beautiful beaches closed by.
Very happy with our recent stay at this property. The house was lovely and an ideal location to the town. I would only say that if it is Triple Rooms that are booked there should be x3 beds in the bedroom to cater to this. Extra seating should also be provided to cater to numbers e.g. at breakfast/dinner etc. The starter pack provided was a lovely touch and made relevant to the reason for our stay. Maybe some extra keys to the front door as people were coming and going at different times. I would be very happy to stay at this house again in the future-great location. Thank you.
Had a very pleasant stay, the location is amazing and the owners are very helpful and welcoming, even had a turf fire burning and a bottle of wine on arrival. Beautiful views of the bay and Omey Island and amazing sandy beaches nearby, especially Anchor beach
Wonderful time spent relaxing with our young family. Nothing was too much trouble for Olive the owner
We chose Molly's Cottage specifically because it was in a rural location but within easy reach of Galway and were very happy with our choice as it met all of our needs. We were a party of six and there was plenty of room for all of us. We arrive late on a Thursday night, not arriving until 11.30pm but the owner stayed up late to make sure we arrived safely and to show us round. Its around a 20-30 minute walk to the beach or there are lots of quiet little lanes to explore on foot. To get in to Galway city centre is about a 25 minute car ride. We wouldn't hesitate to stay in this property again,...more
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house. It is only a short walk to the town centre where there are great places to eat . Great pubs and shops too. Great base to tour Connemara.
Our stay at the cottage was fine. The bed was uncomfortable but not unexpected as we knew this wasn't a hotel. The most disappointing thing was we booked this cottage over others because of the free wi-fi. You could not use it in the cottage at all. We finally figured out the last day that if we stood outside we could use it.
The attention and care from the staff at the station house from check in to check out was just exceptional. The apartment was more like a house than an apartment there was one bedroom downstairs and two located upstairs. It was very spacious and safe, I've a 14 month old who was in her element exploring the place. Would highly recommend this great for families
une belle maison bien située avec une superbe vue et des prestations de qualité il a juste manque un peu de contact avec le proprietaire
Great views and handy walk to the village. Well equipped house with a great kitchen. Advertised as a 5 bed but in reality it's more like a 4 bed with extra entertaining space. Lots of space in the house for a large group. Outside needs to be smartened up and was concerned about safety at the front and patio door( unsafe gaps). Overall had a pleasant stay
Cleggan Beach house is a very nice place to be. You will find everything, you need, if you like making holiday in silence and nature. We were 5 persons in different ages, all were pleased. It is also perfect for coming with a dog. You can make many excursions, there are pubs, where you can go short by car or bicycle. If the weather ist not good and it is cold, in the house it is warm and you can use the fireplace. If the weather is very good, you can sit outside.
We loved our stay in the coast guard station it was a great location, walk to a calm beach and v short drive to some fabulous beaches with lovely waves, white sand and plenty of rock pools to explore with the kids! Claudia the housekeeper was brilliant and the place was v clean. My only negatives were: no dryer for clothes (badly needed in Connemara), and duvet was weirdly hot and short. Would recommend it with these caveats.
Really enjoyed our stay .We had 4 children with us and there was plenty of room in the 3 bed apt.Great location in the heart of Cliften everywhere was just a short stroll away. The hotel and leisure centre being at our doorstep was a great advantage-helping to keep the kids busy despite the rain!
Great find. Looks deceptive on outside but this property is huge inside, ensuite showers, great hot water system and a lovely light location with perfect grounds for children. Five minutes from the centre of Clifden. Warm and welcoming and would definitely come again.
Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Would definitely recommend this house to others, it really is a home from home with all modern conveniences tucked away nicely.
Just a general description of the house-equipment is missing (f.e. tv instructions). Anyway a veri fine house!
Lacey s cottage is in a stunning and interesting area historically. It is in modest condition and possibly needs upgrading to suit a group such as ours, three adults requiring abit more luxury. We found the area quite isolated but were delighted peter from oliver s restaurant was happy to drive us home after a night out. Michelle was very helpful when we contacted her about the heating system. The second shower was not possible to regulate so we had to share the one shower but for the 3 nights this did not bother us. Overall our stay was pleasant but not memorable.
We did enjoy our stay there. The house is great, marvellously located and very comfortable. It would be perfect of you could add some cooking ustensiles such as a frying pan. The rooms are very large and sunny.
appartement spacieux , dans résidence calme , un gros avantage accès au parking sous terrain avec un bip .aucun problème de stationnement . location à 100 m du centre de Clifden nous pouvions faire nos courses à pieds . seul petit bémol literie un peu molle .
Excellent location and great base for holidays. Just above Roundstone, walking distance from O'Dowds. Very family and kid friendly. Lots of parking space and incredible views.
Clifden is a great holiday base. Beds, linen & towels good quality. House otherwise a big disappointment. Smell of dampness everywhere. Kitchen and all bathrooms in urgent need of significant upgrade. Appliances ancient. TV too small and old. Urgent review of electrics & fire safety needed. We noticed smoke alarms were either disabled or missing altogether. Untidy and lots of weeds outside. Huge wasps nest in front hedge. Handles fell off doors at a touch, rusty screws at child eye level prevalent where handles should be. Blind in upstairs bedroom didn't work and had to use suitcases to bloc...more
The owners are very friendly and the location is very good, in a quiet place. But the household goods are not enough, and there is a high humidity in the house.
