We had a great stay in chalet no 5. The holiday park was clean with a beautiful view at sea and fun facilities like mini golf, tennis and a swimming pool.
In the area are a lot of things to do and multiple nice cities to visit. Also 3 castles nearby! We loved it, and would recommend it to everyone.

We had a lovely time staying at Kingsdown holiday park and Chalet no 5 was in a good position. The kitchen had everything you needed and there was plenty of space for the three of us.
The staff at the holiday park were very friendly and helpful.
It's just a 3 min minute walk to the beach which is perfect where we had a delicious meal at the Zetland arms.
The only flaw I would say would be is please buy at decent blind for the downstairs bedroom.

We stayed a week as a family of four in Chalet 5 at Kingsdown Holiday Park. My review is only of the chalet not the park.

We encountered a number of issues during our stay of which 2 were properly addresed by the management company Keepers Cottages. The first was the toilet wouldn't flush properly and the toilet seat was very loosely attached. A plumber was called in and the solution was to press and hold the handle in a very specific way for 5 seconds, neither of which our children could achieve, and it was a skill for us adults to do. The toilet seat was ignored.

Second was on the 6th day I noticed that the smoke alarm didn't have the usual press to test button, I investigated further and opened the device to find the battery had been disconnected. Very frustrating when I've had my family in a wooden appartement for nearly a week without any fire/smoke protection. Keepers Cottages did send out an electrician that day to fit a new one. Whilst he was there he secured an electrical wire that was hanging down in the master bedroom wardrobe.

The property had no curtains of any sort installed in the bedrooms, when I spoke to Keepers Cottages they said the owner didn't want to fit any and there was an issue with the window shape. Other properties on the site didn't seem to have this issue as they clearly had curtains fitted. Thankfully we had a blackout blind for the kids room but the wife and I had to try and sleep in a room that was light from sunrise to sunset in summer, ridiculous!

I thought the standard of cleaning wasn't to high, with clumps of dust under all the beds and sofas. The bathroom was particularly poorly cleaned.

The rest of the accommodation was good, it had WiFi that was good for streaming. The beds were comfortable and the linen nice and clean. The kitchen was well stocked (apart from a tin opener) and nicely presented with an ample dinning area and seating in an enclosed area out the back (Needs a good clean/sweep). However the kettle leaked boiling hot water on every pour. The location of the chalet is right next to the entrance and with little porch space (again needs a good clean) other patrons are pretty much on your doorstep when walking past. The addition of a coffee shop within metres of the chalet mean a constant throng of punters during opening hours.

We did enjoy our holiday in Kingsdown/Deal and would visit again but we'd book a different lodge on the park as this one had too many issues that weren't resolved, poor location and the lack of curtains/privacy I find ridiculous.
