Rose Cottage is a charming, detached holiday home that is perfect for multi-generational families. Lovingly renovated and restored by the current owners, the house is deceptively large on the inside with, on the ground floor, a delightful open plan sitting-dining room with a reading nook and rocking chair, and French doors opening out onto a lovely enclosed garden. There is a ground floor ensuite bedroom, that can also be a comfy quiet snug or a children’s playroom, and a stylish modern kitchen. This room would be perfectly suited to those with limited mobility. Upstairs are three further bedrooms and a modern bathroom. Add to this the driveway with parking and this house really ticks all the boxes.

Perfectly located on the Whitstable/Tankerton borders, guests can take an easy stroll either into Whitstable with a working harbour and fish market, a thriving art scene with lots of galleries showing the work of local artists, a great live music scene in the local pubs and some great cafes and restaurants serving contemporary dishes including of course oysters which made Whitstable famous. Or in the other direction just a short walk brings you to the charming centre of Tankerton with lovely shops, a microbrewery, wine bar, restaurants and boutique shops, Whitstable Castle with the adventure playground and gardens, and the wide open space of the Tankerton slopes and long beach promenade.

Your four-legged friend is also welcome to join you. Whitstable and Tankerton are very dog-friendly with large stretches of the beach accessible all year round, and many cafes and pubs welcome dogs.

We stayed here for 6 weeks and it’s a great little home.
The location is great, 20 minutes walk to the high street, 5 minutes from the slopes and local shops.
Clean and beautifully renovated.
Driveway for a single car with additional on road parking.
Beds are comfortable, has WiFi, plenty of hot water and great showers.
Also a pair of resident foxes that explore the street at dusk and was a treat to see each night!

A lovely well equipped house. Everything that we might have needed was provided. The toy cupboard was much appreciated by our grandaughter! Only a short walk from Tankerton which had a nice friendly pub and good restaurants.
