Kingairloch Estate is located on the Morvern Peninsula along the coastline of Loch Linnhe and is only a three hour's drive from Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Within it's 14,000 acres of staggering scenery are eight unique self catering properties ranging in size from accommodating two, four, six and ten. All properties stand alone and have their own character with each having magnificent views of the mountains, glens lochs or rivers.
They are all well equipped with most having either wood burning stoves or fireplaces and up to two pets are welcomed in each.
Change overs on either a Friday or Saturday for seven night breaks.
Guests to Kingairloch will enjoy the rugged untouched beauty of the West Coast of Scotland and also get to see a wide variety of wildlife such as red deer, otters and eagles. There are numerous walking and cycling routes on the estate and when in season guests can enjoy fishing and other traditional sporting activities.
This was our first stay in The Old School as for the last three years we had been next door in Elastic Cottage. Same great views, same wildlife but more spacious accommodation with an additional bathroom. For us Kingairloch and this location are our go to “Happy Place”. Wildlife on the doorstep included Pine Martens, Stags, Golden and White Tailed Eagles, Barn Owl and much more. Great walks up the Glen and around the Estate. The Boathouse Restaurant on the Estate was fantastic with credit due to Chef Owen and Ella who produced excellent meals from Estate and locally sourced produce.

Kingairloch surely must be one of the most beautiful places in Scotland. It’s remote, but well worth the trip, and it’s also part of the attraction. We stayed in the Gate Lodge. Perfect for four adults. Cosy and well-equipped. And the views are unbeatable.
We spent a week in sunny Scotland this September, and were taken away by just how beautiful it is. Pier Cottage is in a wonderful location on the estate, and the views out of the windows are to die for. The cottage kitchen is very well equipped, I had everything I needed to cook all my meals every day. We followed all of the trails which were provided in the information guide. Despite our best efforts, we didn't get lucky with seeing otters or pine martens, but we did see a few seals!
Arrived with Storm Amy, which took out the area's electricity supply, so cooking on the woodburner and dinner by candlelight for four nights. But the estate staff were brilliant, and couldn't do enough to help us.
So we enjoyed ourselves anyway, with close encounters with otters, sea eagles circling and fishing in front of us golden eagle over the hills and red stags roaring all around.
We had a lovely time at Curlew Cottage. The cottage itself has everything you need and is cosy, warm and spotlessly clean. The views from the cottage are amazing from every window. We loved the walk out the back through the glen, and also the bay at the front of the cottage, which is just a 10 minute walk. The bay is great for a refreshing dip!
We saw lots of wildlife and could hear the deer rut every day, even outside the cottage window at night, and we also had a barn owl visit most nights.
The scenery and wildlife at Kingairloch is stunning, a perfect retreat.
Our 2nd stay to Kingairloch but not to this cottage, which is absolutely lovely. Small and perfectly formed ! Secure garden for dog and wildlife amazing however didn’t spit lot the pine Martin
