Latest Review - September 2025

Our fifth time staying at The Sheiling by the Bay. We love the peace, tranquility and space of the surroundings and of South Uist in general. The cottage itself is historic, cosy, extremely well equipped to a very high standard and very comfortable. We find its location at the North of South Uist means that North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist, Eriskay and Barra can all be visited as day trips. The weather on this visit was quite wild but the cottage remains warm and peaceful. I’m sure we will be back for yet another visit.
